(Twenty Minutes later in an isolated location at Night Raid's HQ)
Dorothea and Delta were having a private conversation about the monitor's rampancy in a place that was somewhere private in the base of Night Raid. So far, it wasn't going well for both of them. Dorothea was the first on to speak. "Wait, you knew that arguing with Esdeath would trigger your rampancy?"
"Correct." Delta nodded to the former bloodsucker before letting out a tired sigh. "You see, rampancy is rather a complicated topic to talk about, but I knew that my anger towards her delusional and hypocritical belief would spark my rampancy."
Hearing that word only made Dorothea more worried. "Then that would mean—"
"It is." Delta cut off before looking away. "It means that I am in the second stage of rampancy."
That was shocking news to Dorothea. During her visits, she didn't display any signs of rampancy and now…. This was too much for the former blood sucker to handle. "Delta, are we going to tell the rest about your rampancy?"
"Not yet," Delta answered. "As of now, we should keep this just only between us." She knew that keeping this secret from the others would build distrust towards her, but for now, the topic on rampancy should be kept between then. Speaking of which, Delta then remembered something and soon she looked at Dorothea. "Should we go back to the others? I could sense the feeling that they're going to finish all it without you."
Dorothea knew that Delta would say that, but she still has a thought in her head. "Delta….." She began recollecting her words in her mind before she spoke. "Please be okay."
"like I said, I will be okay, Reclaimer," Delta assured the former blood sucker. But deep down, she knew she as to be careful from now on. Perhaps, she could use some time for a break and perhaps give Night Raid something funny to watch "Now then, we should go back to the others before they eat all of the pizza."
The Alchemist nodded her head before giving the monitor a smile. "Sure thing, Delta."
Without wasting any more time, the two then began to walk back towards the Death Battle room. As they entered back, they saw that everyone was enjoying their share on the pizzas. Well, too much as Delta saw Akame and Kurome eating quite a lot. In fact, already five boxes were already eaten by them.
"There you are!" Leone looked to where Delta and Dorothea was while taking a bite from her slice of pizza.
Tatsumi also turns around while eating a share of the pizza. "Oh, hey you two. Glad you managed to get back here."
"Better grab a slice before two certain Reclaimers are going to be finishing the whole stacks of pizza." Delta whispered to Dorothea. The former blood sucker didn't waste any more time as she rushed to where Dr Stylish was sitting and immediately grabbed a slice of pizza with only cheese toppings. As she got her slice, she immediately bit into it and in the next moment, she was amazed by the taste of it. "Wow, now I know why you said that Pizza is the most popular dish in your world, Delta."
Wave then gave his own comment as he bit into his share of pizza, which had anchovies for its topping. "I'd say, this is really delicious!"
Akame and Kurome couldn't help themselves by eating the next boxes of pizza. "This is really delicious!"
"Can someone remined the two of them to save some for us?" Mine asked to anyone in the room.
Luckily, the Engineer went to where the sisters were. "Please consider other people who wants to eat pizza, you two."
Akame and Kurome then paused themselves to grab another box of pizza, but they managed to get a pizza slice instead, much to the two Forerunner's belief.
Susanoo observed the food that Delta has informed them about. "I can see why these type of food is quite popular among people in your world."
Delta chuckled at that response. "Well, pizza is indeed a popular choice for gathering." She then thought of something that might be useful for the Imperial Arm cook. "Do you want to know the ingredients?"
The Human Imperial Arm nodded back to her. The monitor then written the ingredients on a piece of paper before handed it to Susanoo, who then folded up the piece of paper and put it in his pocket.
Delta then hovered to where Dorothea was. "How are you enjoying the pizza, Reclaimer?"
The alchemist didn't respond for a while as she was enjoying her share of pizza. As she had taken one last bite of the food, she then looked at the monitor. "It's marvellous! I never tasted such food in my entire life. The texture, the taste. It's the most beautiful food I ever taste."
Delta just giggled at her reaction. "You've only tasted the most iconic one, but there's more food that are popular like pizza." She could already imagine them tasting multiple famous dishes from her universe. Delta really wants to give Susanoo a cookbook so that he can learn new dishes.
While this was happening, Esdeath was looking at her and was staring in hatred since she lased her when she froze time. The Ice Queen unfortunately lost to the monitor this time, but next time, she is going to use a new trick that even Delta won't be immune to.
Thirty-five minutes had passed and every members of Night Raid with the except of Akame and Kurome were satisfied at what they ate. Leone stretched her arms. "Wooooo, that was some food that I tasted."
"It could've been more Stylish." Stylish commented as he rubbed a napkin around his mouth to remove any pizza sauce.
Delta was thinking to what the mad scientist had said. "When you said that 'it could've been more sytylish', do you mean about the layout or….."
"Just the layout of it." Was the response coming from the doctor.
"Oh, I see." Delta said as she was thinking about what kind of people eats pizza with a knife and a fork.
"So," Leone began as she took a sip from her beer jug. "Are we going to watch the next episode or something? Because I'm waiting for some action."
Delta was glad that the blonde said that. "I knew you were going to answer Reclaimer. We're going to be watching it right now."
Susanoo had just finished cleaning up the mess and everyone was now ready to watch the next episode as they were all sitting down on either the couch or the chairs. "Before I even start the episode Reclaimers…" Delta began as she was facing them, "You might want to take some notes. There might be moves that might be useful for future fighting." She then turns to Esdeath. "And that applies to you, Esdeath as you cannot use cheap tricks."
A bit of anger was soon filled into the General, but soon cooled down as she cannot anger the monitor for the second time. "Fine. Just get on with the episode. It's starting to get boring."
And that's what Delta expected coming from a person who uses cheap tactics to win. "Now then, onto the episode."
Everyone soon faces the screen to watch the next episode.
The black screen fades to a full moon upon the face of water. Ripples from a boat and an Sangheili Boatman disrupt the water.
"Wait, is this Halo?" Leone asked upon seeing this before being hushed by her friends who were watching.
A flashback is presented of a Sangheili woman being attacked by a metal sword.
"Wait, there are Sangheili women?!" Leone asked again before she was once again hushed by her teammates.
"Would you please stop asking stupid questions, Leone?!" Mine questioned since she and a few others knew that there were female Sangheili since there were like humans.
"Right, sorry about that." She said as she was rubbing the back of her neck with her hand.
Another flashback shows that same Sangheili woman who was know dead. The murderer, an elite waring similar armour to that of the Samurai and his bodyguards are then seen leaving the home.
"Oh, I see. So this is more like a revenge story?" Lubbock asked the monitor as he was thinking about that flashback.
"I would say so Reclaimer. But its more like a duel." Delta responded.
"Huh. So who are the duellists?" Esdeath asked in curiosity.
"You'll just have to wait and see." Delta commented. But deep down, she couldn't wait for her to react to the Arbiter who single handily defeated an Army.
A Sangheili, who was wearing the armor of the Arbiter is then seen looking down at the hilt of the energy sword.
"Hey, isn't that the Arbiter?" Tatsumi asked as he was looking at the Elitee.
"It is. Remember back in the terminals of Halo 2, when you learned a bit about the Arbiter?" Everyone was silent for a few seconds before nodding. "Well, this Arbiter is called Fal 'Chavamee, the last honourable Arbiter before that title becomes that of disgrace and you'll see why."
Now Night Raid remembers, they only just heard about what Fal 'Chavamee did to make the title of the Arbiter with disgrace. But, to actually see how it happened was very interesting for them. They soon looked back at the screen to continue watching the episode.
The Boatman and the Arbiter who was soon revealed to be Fal continue down the river. They stop and Fal steps off.
The Boatman: You know this is a trap. Do you not?
"A trap? So, he was very foolish to go to where he's planning to go." Esdeath said with a look of disappointment in her face.
Delta just looked at her. "It wasn't very foolish of him, Esdeath. In fact, he made the right choice to go and you're going to like what is going to come up. I think you should make notes on using your natural strength instead of relying too much on Demon Extract?"
Esdeath had her anger increased when the monitor said such a thing to Demon's Extract. She earned it and was proud of it. For the machine to say such a thing… well she's going to have to wait for the right time to destroy this AI. She then manages to cool down and continue watching the episode.
Fal simply just ignores the Boatman and continues on his path into a forest. As Fal is walking, he is stopped by the bodyguards who was with the armoured Sangheili.
Leader: Coming was foolish.
Esdeath smirked at that. "Looks like I was right." She then licked her lips at the fought of a bloody fight.
The others were not thinking the same of her as they wanted to know how much of a capable fighter was Fal since they heard Delta saying about it with admiration. "So Delta. Are we going to see the fight that you mentioned before?" Tatsumi asked the monitor.
"Not yet, but you're you to see how much of a capable fighter he is." Delta responded as she shook her head.
The leader activates his Energy sword. Fal responds by activating his sword. The group advances on the Arbiter and Fal then retaliates. Another Flashback is presented with Fal kneeling in front of an Unidentified Prophet.
"Oh come on! I wanted to see that fight!" Leone moaned as they episode soon switches to a flashback.
"Like is this really relevant for a flashback of this episode?" Esdeath asked with a frown in her face.
Delta just stared at the two. "Flashbacks are very important in Halo Legends, Reclaimers."
"Why is it?" Tatsumi asked.
Instead of the Monitor of the Engineer answering, Najenda instead to speak about what Tatsumi had asked. "Well, these flashbacks might contain really important information of an event."
Delta giggled at Najenda since she was right. "You're right on the spot Reclaimer."
Said girl just smiled at her. "Well, you cannot always keep on answering our questions when it not really relevant."
Prophet: Your words of dissent are troubling to us.
Back to the fight, Fal fights the bodyguards. Each foe falls as Fal continues his assault.
"Damn, when you said that he was a capable fighter, I didn't think you were bluffing about it." Leone said as she saw the fight.
Delta just giggled, but while doing so, Queue Fives decide to speak for her. "Well, Fal 'Chavamee really fought for honour and not for power."
"Fighting for honour, huh?" Esdeath said in her head and she started to remember about a certain Great General back in the Empire.
"Well, saying that reminds me of a certain someone." Najenda commented and had the same thought as her old colleague.
"Why are the Elites so… sophisticated about honour?" Tatsumi asked in curiosity.
Mine just huffed at her love interest's answer. "It's part of their tradition, Tatsumi." She then looked at the monitor before looking at the Engineer. "Am I right?" Both nodded at this and soon she turned to him with a smug look in her see. "See."
"Oh, haha…. Sorry." Tatsumi apologized as he rubbed the back of his head.
Back to the fight, Fal fights the bodyguards. Each foe falls as Fal continues his assault.
Esdeath was trilled about this fight, but wanted more. "Is that all in this story."
Delta just sighs as she knew that the Ice General was getting too impatient. "Just wait, Esdeath. It'll come soon."
Prophet: We ask so little in return for the gifts we offer. Tell me, Arbiter. Is faith to much to ask in exchange?
Back to the fight, Fal and the last three of the bodyguards are still fighting. Fal flips in the air, lands, and slides towards another Sangheili and kills him with just one slash.
Night Raid, especially Akame and even Esdeath were taking mental notes about the fighting techniques that Fal is displaying. This might be useful to them in the future.
"Damn, talking about making moves while killing in such fashion." Leone commented.
"I wouldn't say that Leone." Akame said to her friend even though she admits that it was kinda stylish.
"Let's keeping watching." Her friend said as she couldn't wait for the fight scene that Delta mentioned about.
Prophet: Haka has chosen the path of the Great Journey. Why must you resist?
"Wait, who's Haka?" Tatsumi asked in confusion. But before anyone could respond, he soon got his answer.
The armoured Elite, who was revealed to be Haka presents himself to the Prophet and Fal.
"Wait, that's Haka?" Wave asked as he was looking at the armoured Elite.
"Indeed Reclaimer and already I have a feeling that you and perhaps most of you will hate him for something that I wouldn't even spoil." Delta answered his question.
Night Raid just narrowed their eyes to what Delta had just said, so they turned their attention to the screen to continue watching the episode to see why they are going to hate Haka.
Prophet: The Journey will take us farther than this simple Covenant. It will deliver us to godhood.
Mine had a deadpan expression on her face upon hearing that. "Don't they know what this quote on quote "Great Journey" is about?"
Najenda just shook her head in response. "No Mine. In fact, this takes place before they knew the truth." She turns to look at Delta, "Am I right?"
"You are, Reclaimer." Delta answered.
"Jeez, they're just too fanatical about your technologies, Delta." Lubbock said.
Delta just sighed tiredly. "Unfortunately, there are many things that the Covenant did some things during their existence which I won't delve into."
"Why?" Tatsumi asked.
"Well…." Delta began. "One. You might get easily bored of the History of the Covenant. And Two, there are some things that you might not get."
"Oh." Was the response coming from a few.
The leader charges for Fal, but Fal uses one of the other Sangheili to block the leader's sword swipe. The leader throws off the dead body, which only resulted Fal jabbing his Energy sword into the abdomen of the Leader.
Akame smiled at the tactic that Fal did. "Using a dead body for a distraction."
Leone would have to admit that it was a good tactic. "Well, at least it wasn't cheap."
The Leader groans as Fal removes his sword, then falls to the ground dead. Fal looks at the scene, then leaves.
Fal, in his home, has a flashback of the meeting with the Prophet.
Prophet: There is only one path for you. Why must you deny the Journey that we all must take?
"Uh, have you ever considered and thought what this 'Great Journey' is?" Chelsea asked sarcastically.
"No, they're just short-sighed assholes who want nothing more than power." Leone answered her sarcastic question.
"And also they're too blind to know the consequence of such a belief." Najenda added as she puffs out smoke.
Fal then raises his head, his expression displayed with frustration and defiance to the prophet's words before he yells in a rebellious outrage.
Fal: THE JOURNEY IS A LIE!
"Thank you Fal for speaking out such a nonsense belief." Mine said as she smiled for him to say such a thing.
"I think that was a bad idea."
Everyone just looked at the person, which was Run for stating that. "Why?" Wave questioned the former teacher.
Already, Run knew hoe to answer the question. "Well, since this Covenant is like a cult, speaking out about such a thing would either get you killed or even your loved ones."
"Oh," Wave soon realised.
"Damn, so who's the Covenant going to kill?" Leone asked.
"You'll find out immediately, Reclaimer." Delta responded before she heard a female voice.
Unknown Sangheili Woman: You're dreaming, my love.
Fal: What?
Fal returns to his senses and sees the Sangheili woman before from the introduction flashbacks.
"Hey, that's the same woman that was killed." Chelsea pointed out.
"Oh, yeah. You're right on the spot, Chelsea." Tatsumi said to the mischievous trickster.
"Who's that?" Seyru asked as she was cuddling Koro.
"That's Fal's wife, Reclaimer." Delta answered,
Wait, wife? Night Raid begins piecing of what Delta said earlier, but immediately Bols soon came into conclusion. "Oh no….."
It wasn't only him, but Run came to the same thought. "They didn't exactly ordered it didn't they?"
Tatsumi gritted his teeth as he already knew what Delta said earlier. "Those Covenant bastards!" Mine and Chelsea were holding him in each shoulder to comfort and calm him down.
"Why the hell did they ordered such a things?!" Wave asked with a bit of anger in his tone.
Delta just sighed. "Remember what Run had just stated earlier Reclaimer?"
"Yeah I know, but that still doesn't give them the right to do such a thing." Was his answer while Bols just nodded in agreement since he has a wife.
"Unfortunately, there not much that I could say, Reclaimer." Delta admitted.
"It's alright Delta, you don't have to say much." Najenda assured the monitor.
Well, they'd already got the idea of what this episode is all about, but there was one question. Why did they exactly killed Fal's wife? Was it out of spite? Delta and Queue Fives already knew the answer, but they kept their mouths shut to not spoil the episode for Night Raid.
Fal: Forgive me, Han. I am distracted.
Han: (laughs) Can you not simply serve?
Bols just laughs at this since she reminds him so much about his wife. Queue Fives notices this and begins to comfort the man. Delta looks at this and lets out a silent giggle.
Fal: Perhaps, but only when you know who you are actually serving. Now I'm not so sure.
Han: You? Uncertain? (Laughs)
Fal's expression soon turns into seriousness and he leaned a bit forward to tell something important to his wife.
Fal: Han, you should leave. Just for a little while.
"She's not going to leave you." Bols said since he can already tell that Han is a loving wife Fal.
Han: I'll never leave you, I'm your wife. And you are the General. My place is at your side.
The masked man then smiled at this as he was right on the spot.
"Aww. Such a sweet person." Sheele uttered at the two's dialogue.
"It is." Run said to her.
Fal: You are stubborn to a fault.
Han: I could say the same of you. (giggles)
Some of the audience, especially Bols and Run lightly giggled at that moment. They have to admit that Han was a loving sweet innocent person. But why was she killed when she wasn't involved in anything?
After the two had their conversation, the screen soon switches to a fortress, where it shows Fal training with his soldiers.
Fal: Useless! Focus! We are fighting Elite, the right arm of the Covenant. The gifts of the Forerunners are nothing if you don't master the skills to wield them. Master them you will. For we are the men of Sanghelios! Never forget that honor!
All: Sir, yes sir!
At that exact moment, Wave couldn't help but to say what was on his mind. "Does anyone feel like Fal is quite similar to Great General Budo?"
Many of the audience, who were former soldiers back in the Empire nodded in agreement with him.
Tatsumi, of course, was confused as to why Wave could make the similarities between the two. "Wait, what are you saying?"
Mine just sighed. "He means that Budo and Fal both fight for honour." The two former generals nodded since she was correct.
"Man, Sangheili culture is no different than the Eastern part of the Empire." Lubbock commented.
"Yeah, you're right about that Lubb." Leone agreed with her friend.
As soon as Fal's Sangheili troopers were dismissed, he begins to walk while his soldiers began to converse among themselves. But before he could even continue, he stops in his tracks when he heard words coming from another Sangheili.
Roh: Walk with me a moment, Arbiter.
Fal turns around to see another Sangheili, who was also an old friend of his.
Fal: Roh…
"Huh, so these two are like friends?" Kurome asked as she knows that no one will answer her question.
"You can say something like that, Reclaimer." Fives commented.
It cuts to a cliff wall overseeing the whole city where the two had their conversation.
Roh: "I must ask you." He began.
Fal: "Ask your question." Fal replied
Roh: "Tell me, Arbiter. Why do you insist on provoking their patience? They have given us formidable gifts." Roh questioned his friend with bewilderment in his voice but Fal remained silent looking down. Roh then continued. "Your status is at risk. This heresy will strip you of your rank." he cautioned his friend of the consequences that come of standing against the Hierarchs. There was a short pause before Fal answered him.
"You should listen to your friend, Fal. Your rank is much more important that this honour of yours." Esdeath said.
"Coming from the one who uses cheap tricks and relies so much on her Imperial Arms." Delta commented in her head as she doesn't want to have another fight with her due to her rampancy.
"Do you think that Fal would even change his mind, Esdeath?" Najenda questioned her old colleague while raising a brow. Her response was just a huff from the Ice Queen.
"Well, there's a thing saying that "there are some people that won't change their ways" Reclaimer." Queue Fives clarified as he was stroking Koro gently.
Fal: "There is no rank without honor." he replied. "We were strong. Sanghelios was strong before this Covenant. And we could be strong once more... But we have strayed. We live not for honor but for power." he told Roh with his concern of what his people have become.
Esdeath, as usually, huffed at that statement that Fal had just said. "Then you are deemed weak for saying such foolish words."
Delta wasn't bothered by her words, but didn't intervene since she didn't want her rampancy to worsen. Instead, she just decide to say it too quietly so that no one could even hear her. "Oh, just you wait Esdeath for the fight, then you'll regret saying those words."
Roh: "Listen to yourself!" he said dumbfounded and worried. "This talk is not just heresy. It is treachery. You are putting your bloodline at risk!" he warned. "And what of your wife? What of Han? Arbiter!" he yelled trying to get his friend to listen to him. "To protect the future of our clans, please, please join. Arbiter!" He begged.
Fal looks up in the sky for a bit, before bringing it back to normal height. He then turn to face his friend with an expression of a reassuring smile from the perspective of human eyes.
Fal: "And now the game begins and I must play." he replied unflinchingly with determination.
Most of the audience already knew that Fal would say that. And already, Mine had to say something that was bothersome in her mind. "Is he damn suicidal for saying that?!" She asked.
"I wouldn't say so. He doesn't hunger for more power but rather hold honour to a degree." Najenda said since she can already tell that Fal is a far more competent leader and has much more experience than her.
"Najenda's right, he may be suicidal about it, but he's still securing his honour." Susanoo added to his master's words.
Run could have to agree to that. "Well, comparing to him and Budo, both could fight to secure their honour even if it costs them their lives."
Esdeath chuckled at her comrade's words and had a thought about the Great General. "Wonder if the Old Geezer would love to see this show."
Speaking about Generals, Queue Fives could already inform them about Earth's finest Generals. He could think of a few from the Second World like Admiral Yamamoto of Imperial Japan, who Wave might look up to, General Patterson, MacArthur and Eisenhower of the United States, who Najenda might take an interest on, Marshal Montgomery, who isn't that different to some of the Generals in the Empire's military, General Field Marshal Manstein, who created the infamous Blitzkreig and knows that both Najenda and Esdeath might take huge interest on, and finally Marshal Rokossovsky and the famous Zhukov of the Soviet Union.
"Uh, Fives…" The Engineer was brought out of his thoughts and looked to see Wave. "You seemed to be spaced out. Are you okay?"
"Oh, I was deep in my thoughts." He admitted before they looked back at the screen to continue to watch the episode. He then thought of asking Delta if they could play World at War, which depicts the terror of the Second World War. Perhaps he could ask when they watched all of the episode.
Roh: (Gasp in shock at his friend's statement) Fal…..
Fal: I know they will come in force to challenge me. And I will not turn away from them, I will answer their call.
Night Raid smiled at this since Fal already showed his commitment and didn't show any signs of fear. "That was quite a bold statement he made." Leone commented.
"Yeah it was." Akame agreed with her friend as she nibbled on a pizza slice.
"Hang on, isn't that the pizza that we've eaten earlier?" Tatsumi soon realised.
Queue Fives just sighed at the brown haired assassin's question. "You know that Delta order a lot of boxes, you know so you wouldn't bring in any snacks."
Some of the audience decide to eat some of the leftover pizzas from earlier so that they wouldn't waste any of them.
Roh: It's not too late.
Unknown to the two, Haka and the guards from earlier were overhearing them as they were waiting for the right moment.
"At this rate, I think he's going to kill Fal's wife." Wave muttered as he knew it since the flashback from the opening gave him a hint.
"I think the same." Lubbock agreed with the Navy man.
"Wait, are you sure about it?" Tatsumi asked naively, which only earnt him a sigh of frustration from almost everyone.
"Look, I know you want answer, we're gonna have to watch the rest of the episode."
With that said, Night Raid soon looks back at the screen to continue watching the rest of the episode.
The flashback then ends and soon cuts to Fal, who was in the Arbiter armour and walking in a large desert. He soon stops in his track to see a small army containing Elites, Grunts and Jackals in a far distance, which he assumes that they were gathered to stop.
Lubbock gulped at looking at the amount of Covenant soldiers present. "W-w-wait, an entire army going against a single Elite?"
"That's too suicidal!" Mine yelled as she add on to Lubbock's statement.
Esdeath then has the look of disappointment on her face. "An entire army facing off against one Elite who only us4s a sword? That's weak and pathetic. He should have got something like an Imperial Arm to fight off an entire army."
"Uh Esdeath, I wouldn't think an Imperial Arms would do a trick against an entire Covenant Army." Tatsumi reminded her.
That only got him a response from Esdeath. "Mark my words, Tatsumi."
"Oh, how wrong you are."
Esdeath then turns to look at who said and she wasn't surprised who it was. "So, are we going to have this little talk of yours again?"
"No," Delta answered as she shook. "You're going to be proven wrong about Fal not having an Imperial Arm. I can already predict that you're going to instantly regret to what you had just stated."
Esdeath just scoffs at the monitor and looks away. But deep down, she wondered what does meant by 'not having an Imperial Arm'. She would have to find out later.
"Reclaimers." Delta began to spoke. "Get ready for one fight of your life time."
Soldiers: Defector…Heretic…Accursed Arbiter…Betrayer…Renegade…Traitor…Curse the Arbiter.
Those words were repeated, but Fal just ignores it. They continued to taunt him until he decides to activate his energy sword. The leader who is commanding then roars with his mandibles stretching to tell all of the soldiers to attack. Fal then swings his sword, readying to fight.
"Oh. I don't know why, but I'm excited about this!" Leone cheered as her arms were shaking with excitement.
"Let's see what Fal has to offer." Najenda said and can already tell that Fal is going to win against an entire army.
The soldiers then advanced towards where the Arbiter was while he did the same and deflect any shots fired with his sword.
Everyone leaned forward in anticipation at the fight was about to begin, but before it could even begin, a flashback then happens, where it shows the Prophet talking to Haka on a holographic pedestal.
"Oh Come on! We don't need flashbacks in this scene!" Leone groaned in disappointment.
"These flashbacks are important." Najenda reminded the blonde as she puffed out smoke.
Prophet: So honor, is his strength. Then we shall turn his precious honor against him. Draw him out and defeat him publicly! The badge of Arbiter will become a mark of shame. Haka!" Haka straightens himself when his name was heard. "Persuade him. Yes. Take away what he finds so precious! We'll show everyone how high is the price of dissent!" He said as he clench his left fist and slams in into his floating chair.
"I don't like what he just said." Wave said.
"Well, he was just ordered to do so." Fives explained as he exactly know what that mean.
"Please don't tell me…" Bols said.
"We're going to have to wait." Delta assured the two men.
Haka then bows after receiving his assignment from the Prophets and disappears from the pedestal.
It cuts to the fight in the desert again, as hundreds of covenant zealots rush forward with enrage fury. Already Fal was dealing major damage to the Covenant Army as he slashes and stabs through their ranks with quick reaction time without being hit.
"Wow, he's actually fighting back." Tatsumi said as he was awed at the fight.
"Yeah, no Imperial Arms is used." Lubbock added.
Akame was keeping her eyes on the screen and was making any note on her head to improve on her combat skills. Najenda, Wave, Bulat And the others did the same, including Esdeath surprisingly.
Speaking of the Ice Queen….. "I wonder how I would fight against him?"
Fal slashes at five Elites, but unfortunately, his sword distinguishes. Fal looks at this and was unfazed by it.
"Bu-huh?! Why isn't he scared about his energy sword running out of fumes?" Tatsumi asked.
"Just keep watching, darling." Esdeath responded to his question as she scoots up to him, which earnt her glares from Mine and Chelsea.
"Man, I know this is still early of the battle, but I can already tell that Fal's going to win." Wave acknowledges since he clearly sees that Fal is a capable fighter.
"If that's the case, then my title of "100 man Slayer" is instantly taken." Bulat said confidently.
An Elite soldier recklessly charges in with his arms up holding an energy sword while roaring in rage. As he was about to, Fal then knocks him out by elbowing him before he grabs his energy sword that flew away from the hostile elite.
Akame smirked again at what Fal had just did. "Using your enemy's weapon against each other. I like that."
"Jeez, I never you seen analyse this much, Akame." Leone said to her friend.
Another Elites tries to attack Fal from behind, but Fal immediately kicks him when he was in range and grabbed the Elite's sword mid-air. Acquiring two swords from his former fellow Elites, Fal slashes one Elite on his left, another one on his right, and he made an X sign to slash yet another Elite and a Jackal, which was all in slow motion.
"Woooah…." Lubbock awed.
"That was awesome." Tatsumi also awed by the action done by Fal.
"I definitely don't want to face him off after seeing that." Suzuka admitted after seeing this.
"His fighting techniques seems…..stylish to me." Stylish stated and soon he was enhanced by this.
As multiple elites and jackals charge towards him Fal prepares to slash them all down in a quick move he puts one foot up while spinning while having both swords in a perfect angle. It switches back to normal motion and Fal moves extremely fast as he spin attacks through his enemies swiftly and with deadly precision as dozens of them are slain and fall before his skill.
Everyone had their eyes wide when they saw that. Even Akame was surprised as she saw how quick he was with his sword and fast he was. He could even be faster than her in comparison...
The screen then flashbacks back into Fal's home, Han opens the door to see her husband's friend, Roh.
Han: "Come in, Roh." She greeted him, and soon realised that something was wrong. "What's the matter?" She asked with concern leaking in her voice.
As it turns out, Roh was not alone as Haka appears beside him and he let's himself in. Han's expression turns from a greeting to a scared looking one.
Everyone, excluding Esdeath, Queue Fives and Delta (the two Forerunners already knew what's going to happen) has their eyes wide open in both shock and fear as they realised what the Prophet meant by what he had said to Haka earlier.
"No,no, no, no….." Bols tried to deny what was going to happen.
"It's going to happen right?" Tatsumi asked.
Leone clenched her fist in slight anger upon seeing thus. "Bastards!"
"I can't look at this." She said before looking away while Run was comforting her.
The screen then resumes back to the fight. A unit with an Elite and Two Jackals were shooting up in the air at Fal, which only missed him and Fal then lands on them, killing all of them in impact.
"Okay, let's all agree not to fight him." Lubbock announced upon seeing how much of an efficient fighter he was.
Everyone the nodded at him in agreement. Well, almost everyone, Esdeath just looks at him with a frown on her face. "Are you scared of fighting him?"
"Esdeath, he just took on multiple enemies without breaking a sweat. Even if we had our Imperial Arms on, we wouldn't even lay a finger on him." Tatsumi informed her.
Esdeath scowled at her lover for saying that, but she began to think about it. It took her quite a while until she realised that he was right. Even with Demon Extract on her, she would even last a second with him.
All of a sudden, Fal doges an Energy Ball which was shot from a Wraith. After that was fired, two ghosts appear along with three enormous Hunters advance towards where Fal is.
W-w-w-w-w-wait, those are hunters?!" Leone shouted with a dumbfounded expression on her voice while stuttering.
"Hmm, well that was interesting." Dorothea said as she was quickly doing a sketch of the large Hunters.
"They reminds me of those A-Class Danger Beasts that I hunted down before." Esdeath said, remembering their screams as she puts them down with brutal efficiency.
"Seeing those things definitely remember my Death Tagool." Kurome said before sighing as she wished she had that Super Class Danger Beast again.
"We could find one again if you want." Wave assured her.
"Yeah, but why didn't anyone mention about the Wraith and Ghost being used against him?" Cosmina pointed out.
"Maybe they might get easily destroyed by him." Was a response coming from Najenda who was making notes in her head.
As they advance through wo Fal's position, one of the Mega Hunters raised its fist and soon lowers it, but it was soon intercepted by Fal as he pushes it away with minimal effort.
"Holy shit, he's pretty strong!" Leone said with shock as she saw how strong he is.
"Yeah, he is. Probably all of us." Tatsumi agreed with his friend and knew that with Incursio's armour on, he wouldn't even last a split second against him. Well, maybe he could, but that's up for debate.
"Maybe not all of you, Reclaimers. There are quite a few Imperial Arms that you have and can easily overpower him" Delta countered as she knows that there are few that can easily overpower and eventually kill him in a fight.
"Why didn't you say that earlier?!" Esdeath said infuriated that Delta said that out loud.
Delta just looked at her without making any AI facial expression. "I just just being cautious, Reclaimer. I haven't thought about some being overpowered that it can easily overpower Fal." Well, did did bring up a good point, which prompted everyone to look back at the screen to continue watching the fight scene.
Back at Fal's home, Han is seen kneeling on the floor and covered in blood, while Roh has Haka's sword raised at Han, whimpering, and hesitating to kill her. Haka is seen standing behind Roh with his elite unit standing behind him guarding the evil Sangheili.
Bols immediately cover his eyes with his hands as he didn't want to see what was going to happen and already he could think about this wife being in this kind of situation. Speaking of which, the rest of the audience with the exception of Esdeath had their eyes wide open in shock. People such Sheele and Kurome cuddled up to their loved ones for comfort.
"No, don't force him to do it." Sheele said as she was comforted by Run.
"It's not going to happen. He's going to be forced to do it." Najenda said with a saddened tone. This wasn't the first time she heard of this kind of fact back in the Empire.
Haka: "Kill her. Then he will have no choice, but to face me in battle." he said without any hint of morality.
The camera is angled from Roh's point of view as he has Haka's sword raised against her. He breaths heavily and hesitating to kill Han.
Roh: "I'm sorry..." he whispers with regret as Haka continues to stare either frowning at Roh's wavering to kill Han or smiling from this outcome.
Back at the battlefield, a large cloud of dust is blown and the Wraith from before is seen knocked over with incredible force along with a giant Mgalekgolo. Fal is seen through the dust as the Wraith falls in slow motion over him. He sprints forward as one sangheili zealot came close to him to strike Fal slashes him through the chest as he yelled in pain flying from the force off from view, another sangheili comes into view charging Fal with his sword raised with one hand. The Arbiter quickly yet smoothly spins around, as the zealot charged forward Fal easily kills him by slashing him through the abdomen with enough force sending him through the air to the left as he did with the last elite. The wraith falls behind as Fal continues to sprint forward with a unflinching narrowed eye being visible.
Almost like Tatsumi's and Akame's when they were focused on killing their targets.
"Woah. Okay now, I'm definitely going to see someone copying that move in the near future." Tatsumi spoke.
"Yeah, I bet someone will." Lubbock agreed as he took quick glance at Akame.
"Let's keep watching this scene, Reclaimer." Queue Fives reminded the two.
The camera quickly changes back to Fal's home, Haka intervenes grabs onto the handle of his sword where the whimpering Roh still unwillingly stands and gasps.
Haka: "We do this for the Great Journey." he says as he forcefully raises the sword that remains in Roh's grip.
"Oh com- Haka is basically forcing you to do that. To your friend's wife!" Tatsumi said out loud as he already knew what was to come. During this, Mine and Chelsea comforted him, which earnt them glares for Esdeath.
"There's nothing he can really do, Tatsumi." Najenda reminded her subordinate, who also had the same feeling as well.
Esdeath, like usual, didn't feel the same way as the others, but this was getting too far. Why did she had this feeling then? Was it to feel human again?
Back on the battlefield, the Arbiter sprints forward very fast wiping out what remained of the disorganized Covenant army of zealots sent by Haka to kill him.
The audience, including Esdeath were both shocked and amazed that Fal had already disorganized the army into small groups of soldiers.
"Oh wow, he's definitely strong." Lubbock said as his eyes were blinking at the amount of soldiers that Fal had killed.
"Yeah, most of the troops are definitely going to have a hard time with him." Tatsumi agreed with his friend.
"But there are still those giant Hunters that will give Fal a hard time." Run pointed out to them.
"Oh, don't worry. I'm sure Fal would do just fine with them." Mine bluntly said as she knows that even those gigantic Hunters won't easily kill him.
He dispatches an elite instantly before kill a jackal and another elite while sprinting forward.
The camera changed to a now empty landscape devoid of any other enemies in view with the Arbiter charging quickly ahead of him, the final massive hunter comes into view attempting to punch Fal into the ground but the Arbiter dodges and he jumps on the beast's kneeling leg and climbs up it's back.
"See, I told you." Mine stated as she was right.
Lubbock would agree with the pinkette. "I say, not even they are safe from his wrath."
The screen shifts to Haka's sword being raised above Han as she begins whimpering.
This only made Bols cover his eyes with his hands even longer. He still didn't want to imagine his wife to be in that kind of situation.
Wave saw his reaction and he then thought of something to help him calm down. "Hey, relax there Bols. This kind of act sometimes happens in the Empire."
"I know. But….." Bols was about to say.
"Just keep your thoughts in your mind for a bit okay?" The soldier said to him before the older soldier nodded.
Then it shifts back to Fal succeeding to climb up the Hunter's back.
Roh raises Haka's sword even higher while starting to hyperventilate. Haka is seen smirking while forcing Roh to commit this act.
Some of the audience, ESPECIALLY Bols looked away for how many times when they saw that.
"This isn't happening. Isn't it?" Sheele said as there were almost tears coming out of her eyes.
"It's going to happen," Najenda said in a sympathetic tone.
Fal the Arbiter succeeds in climbing the massive raging hunter's neck. He raises his sword above him and the screen shifts to Fal close up, all four of his mandibles open up as he then let's out a long roar of rage and adrenaline with his one only visible eye's pupil narrowing to an impossible size.
Fal: "AARRRRRRGHH!"
If Night Raid was actually there, they would be covering their ears, including Esdeath. The loud was so loud, that it caused weird fuzzing sounds on some of the audience's ear.
"Damn, that was loud." Leone exclaimed out loudly as she covered her ears with her hands.
"How could it be loud? It isn't in max volume." Tatsumi pointed out.
"I was saying it sarcastically." She added so that Tatsumi would understand her.
However, what happened next was something that kept most of them silent for a little while.
Haka's sword swings down and the screen turns back.
Almost everyone winched at that scene. They knew this was going to happen and this make some of them said, whereas some of the others especially Bols since he had a wife were angry at this. At least it wasn't soon on screen.
"That poor woman." Sheele said as she shed a tear that was coming out of her eyes.
"She was killed without being involved in anything." Tatsumi said as he was sympathizing on the now deceased Sangheili woman.
Bols really wanted to say what was in his mind. But he decided to wait until he sees Han's body.
As the Mgalekgolo falls dead, Fal removes his Sword and overlooks the battlefield, which had a lot of dead Covenant soldiers lying around. He steps down from the Mgalekgolo and revealed the half of Fal's damaged helmet. Suddenly, a Unggoy runs by.
Unggoy: "He's a Demon!" He said as he was running in utter terror.
Without looking, Fal quickly kills the lone grunt.
Night Raid would be laughing at this point but they didn't as they were not prepared for the next scene.
The screen cuts to the outside of Fal's home where Fal can be heard panting as he runs to his home off-screen.
Fal: "Han! Haaan!?" he yelled in distress. He pushes through the double doors to his house to find the inside ransacked as pieces of shattered vases and pots were knocked across the floor. He runs forward ignoring his surroundings. As he moves forward looking for Han he turns his head to his right and his expression turns to shock.
In another room laid the corpse of his friend Roh, his body lying on his chest with blood splattered across the floor.
"Oh no. Not his friend." Sheele said as more tears were running down from her eyes.
"Yeah, but I think some of us would shed more tears when-" Wave tried to say until…
Fal moved towards his dead friend before abruptly stopping, his eyes then drift to another room.
(Insert OST - Blade and Burden)
The camera slowly shifts to the room where Han was murdered where her body still laid motionless. Fal's gasp can be heard off-screen before it changes to him entering the room. Fal staggered to the body of his deceased wife, his breaths rasping before he drops to kneeling on both knees in front of her body.
Wave immediately shuts his mouth when he was going to make a statement. He looked at Bols, who he didn't want to make him angry.
Everyone was shocked upon seeing the bruised body of Fal's wife, Han. They couldn't even imagine what happens if their loved one would end up in the same situation. Akame stopped eating another slice of pizza and watched silently. Kurome just leaned on Wave's shoulders for comfort.
He picks up her torso and turns her bruised bloody face to him as he slowly cries. The screen focuses to the side of Fal's face where he whimpers and tears slowly form in his eyes, unable to hold it in anymore all four of his mandibles open and he releases a roar and cry of agony and anguish into the air.
Fal: "ARRRAAHHHHHHH!"
"I'll kill him!" Bols said as he was enraged when he saw that scene..
"This only happened in my universe and not yours. So please, be calm Reclaimer." Delta reminded the masked man.
Well, she did bring up a good point about it, which made the flamethrower specialist a bit calmer. But still, he would kill whoever harms his wife or daughter. Thinking that he was going to get too angry, he immediately left the room to help calm himself by staying outside for a bit to prevent himself from throwing a fit in the room.
Wave was about to go with him, but Esdeath stopped him on his tracks. "Leave him be."
The soldier was about to say something, but Delta intervene. And for the second time, the monitor would have to agree with the General's decision. "I hate to say it, but I think it would be better to leave him alone."
He looked at the monitor before he set his eyes to the door. He kept switching at the two before he finally decide to sit down and continue watching the episode.
The Camera then switches to a Forerunner structure where Fal was seen walking up the steep stairs. As he reaches the top, his wife's murderer, Haka was waiting patiently for the traitorous Elite.
Haka: "A shame that sword of yours was too late to save Han. Such a price for your honor, Arbiter." He said as he was taunting the Arbiter.
Most of the members had their blood boil as they heard the armoured Elite say that. Now they understood why Delta said that they're going to hate him.
"Says the one who killed a loved one in cold blood." Leone said with venom while clenching her fist.
Fal: "You are not worthy to speak her name. But I promise it is the last you will utter." He calmly said evenly to the other Elite.
"Come on Fal! kill that murdering bastard." Lubbock said as he was anticipating for the Arbiter to kill Haka.
Haka: "There will be time for talk when I rule in your stead. And declare your shame, Arbiter." He said before he finished his small conversation with Fal.
With that done, the two Elites soon began their dual. Haka grabs his metal sword from his back whereas Fal activates his Energy sword. They both began to walk in a circle, both in battle position, and soon stop from where they are.
Some of the members seemed to be interested to what the two were doing. "Delta, isn't what they're doing part of their culture?" Wave asked the monitor in interest.
"It is Reclaimer, and you can see now the similarities between them and the Eastern part of the Empire." Delta answered knowing that the Easterners were not so different to the Japanese.
Night Raid made a note of that and their interest in Sangheili culture increased. Esdeath seemed to be the one who had the increase of her interest. "Wonder how I would fair up on them."
After a moment, both of the Elites swung their sword at each other.
Some of the members leaned in anticipation as they wondered who won.
"Come on Fal!" Tatsumi said as he wanted to cheer him on.
"You know that is going to cost him his life right?" Lubbock pointed out.
"I wouldn't say so Lubba. He literally lost everything he holds dear, so I doubt that he even cares for hie own life." Mine countered as she had analysed what had gone throughout this episode.
When that was over, blood soon started to come out of Fal's Torso.
Some of the members then had sadness on their face they knew that Fal had failed in avenging his wife's murder.
"What!" Tatsumi said out loud as he didn't like what he was seeing.
"Everything from fighting a group to even fight an ENTIRE army…." Cosmina added after she was sad that Fal has been mortally wounded.
Akame, however, knew something was up. "I wouldn't say so."
Now everyone was confused to what Akame had just said. "What do you mean?"
The red-eyed assassin just remained calm and pointed at the screen. "Keep watching." Everyone soon look back at the TV to see what she meant.
Feeling the victory that Haka has achieved, he let out a smile. Unfortunately, that didn't last long as Haka started to moan.
Mine had a feeling that something was going on. "Wait isn't-"
"Shhh!" Suzuka hushed her before she was going to ask the very same thing that was going to happen on screen.
He looks down and immediately realises that Fal's sword has pierced right through his abdomen.
Finally! Night Raid just celebrated a little despite knowing his fate. Tatsumi was clapping his hands. "He did it!"
"Fal managed to kill his wife's killer!" Mez cheered as she threw her arms up in the air.
Wave was happy as well, which soon…. "Oh yeah, I'm going to where Bols is and tell him about that." Without wasting any more time, he quickly left the room to search for the masked man, leaving Kurome with the Engineer.
Queue Fives quickly looks at Kurome before stating, "I am not food." Making the red eyed assassin's sister 'aww' in sadness.
When Haka fell onto the floor and, Fal soon looks at his hand and only discover that he has lost too much blood and is dying quickly. Fal drops his sword and soon staggers, before he falls to the ground.
Some of the audience already knew that this was going to happen. And so for for that, they bowed their heads in commemorations for last honorable Arbiter, Fal 'Chavamee.
After the small silent tribute to the Elite who defined and opposed the Covenant's ideals of the Great Journey, Leone let out a small smile and soon she felt some eerily familiarity when she saw this. "Why does feel so familiar?"
"Is something wrong Leone?" Her thoughts were snapped when she saw her friend looking at her with concern.
"I just had a thought, Akame." She responded before the two of them face the screen to watch the last seconds of the episode.
As he is falling, he has one last flashbacks of Han, who is happy to see Fal once again as the two were going to be united in the afterlife.
When that episode was over and everyone either were saddened by this orcrying, Delta had materialised napkins for the ones that were crying at the episode.
"Oh man, that was one of the greatest battle that I had ever seen." Leone said as she threw her arms up in excitement.
"Yeah, I agree sis. Know we all know why the title of Arbiter was a brand of a traitor, and it was all because of him." Tatsumi added.
"Well, it was his foolish belief that made that title a disgrace." Esdeath said blatantly and bluntly.
"Really Esdeath?" Najenda said in her head as she didn't like her words.
"Okay, okay, no time for starting another argument." Lubbock said before any sort of argument would come up. "But to be honest, that scene when he's battle an entire army was the best it."
"Same." Seyru nodded in agreement.
"I like that he used his enemy's weapons without relying on his own." Akame said.
"Yeah, but overall, it was the saddest episode that we saw." Sheele said before wiping a tear.
"Oh how so wrong you are, Reclaimer."
Everyone then looked at Delta, who was also looking at them at the same. Mine raised an eyebrow at the monitor. "What do you even mean when you said that?"
Delta continued to stare at everyone. "Well, it might be true that this episode may be the saddest, but you are not prepared for the upcoming ones. Which reminds me…." She soon turns her attention to Akame and Kurome. "You two are going to need this." She materialised two boxes of tissues.
"Why?" Kurome asked as she and Akame were confused as to why they had those boxes of tissues.
"You may have some PTSD when…. You watch the next episode." She warned them. Delta knew that the next episode will be on a certain Spartan II's story and knows how the sisters would react if they saw that episode. "But we're not going to watch that episode yet. Let's wait for the other two Reclaimers."
"Oh come on, I want to see the next episode!" Leone said as she was whining that they're not going to watch the next episode.
Delta expected that kind of reaction from her, but she had a good reason for saying that. "I know you want to watch the next episode. But….. I want to share my history with you all."
A/N: There you have it, 3 out of 8 episodes of Halo Legends done. This is a huge step on this series, despite me bumming my ass on being lazy or just grinding non stop on War thunder (Which I am getting very addicted to). Now then since this chapter is out, I want to say about my other new fanfiction story. It is called The Assassin of the SMG4 Crew, which is a crossover between Akame Ga Kill and SMG4... ironically. I have lots of plans on that, but that would mean that An Elder Scrolls Tale of Dragonborn Incursio is now going to be one halt for quite some time now. But now for the two chapters:
Next Chapter: Side Story: Delta's backstory
Next Halo Legends Episode: Homecoming
