Follows Yakko's P.O.V.

xxx

As Yakko carried Dot into the elevator he started thinking up a plan. First he was going to go straight to the bathroom to check on Wakko, then he was going to make dinner, and then he was going to open up the bathroom door go in and scoop Wakko up and hug him no matter how much he struggled. Yakko was going to make Wakko know just how much he loved him.

Yakko and Dot entered the water tower. He could tell that they both felt a lot happier after having run back home. The incident at the grocery store seemed like a memory from days ago rather than just a few minutes ago.

Dot squirmed in his arms, "Can you let me down?"

"Sure thing sister sib."

Yakko let her down.

"I'm going to the bathroom to check on Wakko and then I'll start making dinner."

"I'll meet you in the kitchen then."

Dot started walking to the kitchen while Yakko walked to the bathroom. He stopped beside the triple bunk bed and glanced at his bed. The sheets hadn't been disturbed so that meant that Wakko was probably still in the bathroom. So he continued to walk and stopped in front of the bathroom door.

Yakko reached out and knocked on the door, hoping that Wakko was in a better mood than when they had left.

No answer.

So he tried the door knob. It's unlocked. Yakko slowly pushed the door open silently hoping that his brother hadn't passed out while they were gone.

Dread slowly pushed down on his heart when he saw that Wakko wasn't in the room. Where could his brother be?

Yakko turned around and ran to the kitchen. He was going to tell Dot that Wakko wasn't in the bathroom but he stopped dead in his tracks when he saw her kneeling in front of the refrigerator, a yellow sticky note in her hand, crying.

He shook his head and ran over to Dot.

"What's wrong?" Yakko asked, the dread was pushing down even harder now.

Dot handed him the letter with a shaky hand, she was still crying.

Yakko quickly read the letter, the dread inside of him changed to shock.

The letter read as following:

Dear Yakko and Dot,

First off. Dot, you're a two faced wanker. You claim you love me and Yakko equally but it's obvious you favor Yakko over me. Now, Yakko. Where do I start? How about that you made me throw up on you! And that you accused me, your own brother, of lying! Oh and you're worse than Dot. It's so obvious that you two favor each other over me. Painfully obvious. So I'm leaving and never coming back. I hope you two have a nice life without me!

~ Wakko Warner

Yakko fell to the ground on his knees. He couldn't believe it. Wakko had ran away from home. His little brother was gone.

He stared at the floor unsure if he wanted to scream or cry. Or both.

Dot crawled over to him and placed her hand on his arm.

"I w-wish I stayed home. Maybe I could've stopped him?"

"It's not your fault, Dot. You didn't know." Yakko shook his head, "It's actually my fault."

Dot sniffed, "You didn't know either!"

"I'm sorry, Dot. I'm a horrible older brother."

Dot came closer and wrapped her arms around him in a tight embrace. A few seconds later Yakko wrapped his arms around her. They hugged for a while, Neither saying anything. Both just trying to give the other the best comfort possible.

Dot let go of Yakko and yawned.

"I'm tired."

"I'll go make dinner then. After you're done you can go to bed."

So Yakko and Dot both got up. Yakko made the soups while Dot sat at the dinner table trying not to fall asleep.

Yakko handed Dot her bowl and he took his own bowl and sat down. They ate in complete silence.

Yakko finished first. He got up and briefly stretched. Dot dropped her spoon in her bowl and yawned again. Yakko yawned a bit after.

"I'm going to go look for Wakko."

"Wait I wanna go too!"

"It's too dangerous being outside at night. Besides you've been yawning like crazy since I started making dinner!"

"You've been yawning too! You're just as tired as I am. We should rest tonight and then search in the morning."

"But Dot,"

Dot glared, "If you don't sleep then I won't either."

"But you need your beauty sleep!"

"Yakko, calm down."

"But Dot,"

Dot cut him off, "I'm worried too. But do you really think that Wakko of all Toons would travel during the night? No. He's probably in the park asleep in a tree right now. He's a late sleeper too. So he won't wake up til, say, 11:00? So we have time to sleep and wake up at 9:00. Sounds good?"

Yakko stared in awe at his sister, "Did ya really come up with that on the spot?"

"Yes and let's go to bed."

So the two siblings walked over to the triple bunk and began climbing the ladder. Dot climbs into her respective bed. Yakko decided to climb into Wakko's bed.

Once he was comfortable, Yakko closed his eyes and fell into an uneasy sleep. He ended up in a nigthmare.

Yakko is pacing back and forth, he was feeling extremely nervous.

Catherine walks over to him.

"Are you nervous?" She asks, an unidentifiable expression on her face.

"I'm as chipper as the birds outside." He responds, trying to fake cheerfulness.

"I know that you're nervous, Yakko. Here, I have something that'll help."

"What is it?" He asks, he's unsure as to what could help him.

She walks over to a nearby table and grabs a cup full of red liquid. She makes her way back to him a great big grin on her pale face. She hands him the cup.

"Bottoms up kid."

Yakko stares down into the cup. He briefly wonders what the liquid is. Cherry Kool-Aid? Big Red soda? Wine? He slightly hoped it was the last one.

"Uhhh…Catherine? What is this?"

Catherine giggles, "Just drink it silly. It'll help soothe your nerves. You don't want the fans to see how nervous you are, right?"

Yakko grips the cup a little bit tighter, she was right he didn't want the fans to see how nervous he was. Because he, Yakko Warner, was always confident!

So with his mind set, Yakko takes the cup and drinks its contents all in one gulp. A wave of intense queasiness washes over him and then without any warning he passes out. Falling face first into a void of inky blackness.

Yakko woke up abruptly, his heart pounding in his chest. Absolute terror had seized him. He glanced over to the ladder and almost screamed. Dot was staring at him with a concerned look on her face.

"Hey Yak. You were moving a lot in your sleep. Was it a nightmare?"

Yakko tried to breathe deeply to calm his frantic heart.

"Yes."

Dot nodded slightly at his response, "Do ya wanna snuggle?"

Yakko closed his eyes, "Sure."

The next thing he knew his sister had latched herself onto him as tightly as possible. He wrapped his arms around her and they both layed down.

Dot sighed, "I'm glad that we're doing this."

"Agreed."

A brief moment of silence.

And then….

"I had a nightmare too." Dot whispers,

"What happened?"

"Catherine was in it. She gives me a plastic cup full of red liquid and tells me to drink it. She says it'll soothe my nerves. I was about to drink it when. When I saw you. You were laying on the ground. Passed out, I think. I was about to run over to see if you were okay but she blocks my way. I tell her to get out of the way but she won't. She tells me to just drink the drink. I refuse. She yells at me to drink it before she makes me. So I fling the drink at her…"

Dot stopped speaking and swallowed hard.

"What's wrong Dot?" Yakko asked, noticing how tense and frightened his sister suddenly looked.

"So I fling the drink at her and then she grabs me by the scruff of my neck with her left hand, I think? Suddenly I'm all tense and can't move. And then she takes her other hand into her pocket and brings out this syringe full of red liquid. Kinda like what was in the cup? Then she takes it and stabs me in the neck with it. I feel really queasy and I guess I pass out."

While Dot was recounting her nightmare Yakko felt a strong wave of protectiveness for her and pulled her closer to him.

"It was just so real like." Dot whispered,

"Mine was like that too."

"Yakko?"

"Yes Dot?"

"If the Lady in Red hurt us. Then there's a fair chance she'll hurt Wakko too. Right?"

"I really hope not."

"But there's a chance right? I mean...I hope that wherever Wakko is he's being protected."

"Me too, sis."

While Yakko was trying to think up what to say next he absentmindedly started rubbing his hand up and down Dot's back. She quickly fell asleep to this. He decided that he would call Dr. Scratchandsniff first thing in the morning and spill the beans on what was going on. The situation had become bigger than the two of them. They needed help. And their best option was Scratchy.

Yakko yawned loudly before then falling into a peaceful sleep.
