The next chapter is posted! Enjoy :)
Christina started to wake up, and upon waking; she was met with the biggest headache. Not only that, but she heard voices speaking among each other. She didn't recognize any of them. When she finally opened her eyes, things were a bit blurry at first. Then her vision finally cleared, and she gasped when she looked at her surroundings.
The young woman sat up really quick, which was not the best idea; because she felt light headed from the sudden movement. The ones speaking took notice of her, stopped briefly, and stared. When Christina spotted them, her eyes widened in surprised. There were at least three of them standing besides the cot she was on. All of them were alien men!
The previous events all came back to her; as she remembered what happened. Finishing her routine and heading for the kitchen for lunch. Hearing a commotion upstairs, and going to investigate. Two strange alien men in Bulma's Lab; looking for something. Then finally, being found out and cornered by them. She recalls exchanging words with them. Before one of them struck her and nailed her across the face. Everything went black afterwards. Normally, she'd be use to alien like appearances with who she knows. But these men were obviously dangerous.
"Who the hell are you people!? And where am I!?" She all but yelled at the alien men in lab coats.
"Miss, you need to calm down. You suffered a minor concussion from a blow to the head." The one closest to her said.
Christina didn't want to hear it though, "You still didn't answer either of my questions."
"You are currently in the Med Room aboard the Frieza Force Main Ship." The shortest one replied.
She reared back slightly. 'Did he say Frieza Force? As in that psychotic space tyrant Bulma told me about!?'
"Did you say Frieza Force? As in Frieza; that creepy psychotic man-child?" She asked.
Apparently, that was the wrong thing to say; seeing as they were all glaring at her for the rather impertinent remark about their Lord.
"Yes, and we'd appreciate it if you watch your tone. Otherwise next time; you won't be so lucky to end up here." The third one replied.
Christina couldn't believe it. She really was aboard that crazy asshole's ship!
She started shaking her head in disbelief, "No, it can't be. How? Why am I here?"
"Because you walked in on something you were not suppose to. The men on the mission were facing a grave threat as your friends started closing in on their position. In their haste, they decided to take you as leverage to use against them, so that they may make it out with their lives. Luckily, they were able to make it to their ship just in time, and left before they could be apprehended." The first one stated.
Christina didn't want to ask, but she felt like she had to.
"And why am I still here? Why bring me aboard?" She asked.
"It's true, there is no reason for you being here. But perhaps you could be of some use. Our Lord has some questions he wishes to ask you once you were conscious. He will explain further." The short one replied.
The third one went over to the intercom in the room, "Miss Berryblue, the human is awake. You may send someone down to retrieve her."
Sadly, she heard every word spoken.
"Excellent, I'll be down to escort her to the Main Room." Berryblue replied.
Christina started looking around, and found an empty beaker not far from her cot. Not the best use for a weapon, but better than nothing,
"Fuck it." She muttered.
Then she leaped from the cot and went for the closest counter. They saw this and approached her. Christina picked up the beaker and hurled it at the closest alien man. She nailed him right in the face and it shattered on impact. He began to scream and clutched his face as the glass cut into his eyes. Then she dashed for the exit and ran out.
One of the other alien doctors cursed and hit the button on the intercom again.
"She ran out of the Med Room! Send someone down to get her!" He said, in a panic.
Christina sprinted down the corridor. She looked around in a panic, trying to figure out where she can go, and possibly stay hidden if she could. Until she can figure out how to escape.
'I remember Goku telling me once about the space pods that Vegeta and another saiyan came to Earth in. It took a bit of coaxing, but Vegeta told me a little more about the one manned space pods and a very brief summary on how they worked. Surely there has to be some on board. I need to figure out where they maybe keeping them on the ship.' She thought.
She noticed a few men emerge from a corridor on the left further down. They pointed at her and rushed towards her. Christina's eyes widen and she frantically looked around. She quickly turned down another corridor to her right and kept running. That hall was empty for the time being, but she had to find another to duck down to lose the party that's chasing her.
There were quite a few doors on either side of the hall. Christina knew she would have to take the plunge and enter one of the rooms. Especially, if it meant they'd lose track of her. She stopped at one door and crossed her fingers that she wouldn't enter a room full of even more soldiers.
It slid open and she ran in. The door then slid closed behind her. She looked around and noticed she was in some sort of small dorm room with some simple metal bunk beds. Luckily, it looked like the room was vacant. A few moments later, Christina heard faint foot falls coming closer, on the other side of the door. She pressed her back against the wall and didn't move.
She heard them speak and strained to hear what they were saying on other side. A couple were speaking rather loudly, and she could make out most of what they were saying.
"Great, now where in the hell did she go? She could've easily entered one of these rooms or taken another one of the several corridors further down from this one!" One soldier said.
"We may have to split up. A couple of us will have to take the separate corridors. Either way; she couldn't have gotten too far. I doubt she'd be in one of these rooms, seeing as nearly all of them are occupied. We would've heard from one of the others if she stumbled into one of these rooms. So let's go!" Another said.
Christina listened as the footfalls became faint and she could no longer hear them. She must've waited at least a couple more minutes before deciding it was time to go. Considering the longer she stayed in one place, the easier it would be for someone to back track, and find her. Plus, the room she was currently in may not stay vacant for long.
The door slid open and she poked her head out slightly and looked around. The coast was clear and she left the room. Instead of going down the same direction the soldiers went; she turned and started going down from where she came. Christina peaked around the corner on the left of a corridor she ran past. Again, no one was there, so she made her way down that one.
Once she made it near the end, she noticed a bigger single sliding door with a panel on the side. She hasn't seen a panel on any of the other doors on this level. Fear and curiosity was still coursing through her; as well as adrenaline. Christina hit a button on the panel, and jumped when the thicker door slid open. It revealed a smaller space, only about 8x6' in diameter, with no windows.
'An elevator!' Christina entered the elevator and it slid closed behind her. There was another panel inside next to the door. There were several buttons and she wasn't sure which one to pick. There were symbols above the buttons; none she could read or understand. She took a deep breath, she had been lucky so far, she had to take another chance.
She spotted one triangular symbol. The triangle was on it's side and had some lines coming out of it. It kind of reminded her of a spaceship or an airplane even. 'Just maybe, that could be the floor where they keep the smaller ships and possibly the space pods. Christina took the gamble and hit that button. The elevator started heading up.
It must've only went up a couple floors, before coming to a stop. She braced herself for what she may find when the door slid open. Worried she may stumble into a large area full of soldiers. Christina let out a sigh of relief when it revealed another vacant corridor. It confused her a little too, because she was expecting it to bring her to a small port full of ships or even a hangar.
'Maybe it's behind one of the doors down this hall.' She thought.
Christina did a light jog down the hall, looking about. So far, there weren't that many doors, and they were all smaller single doors like she seen on the previous floor. 'Please don't tell me this floor has only dorm rooms too.' She started to worry.
Then further down on the right, she spotted a larger set of doors. As Christina got closer, she noticed this one was definitely different from the rest. Instead of a single door; it was two sliding doors that met in the middle. They were larger and looked thicker. 'This has to be it!' She thought.
Christina didn't see a panel by these doors. She took a hesitant step forward and the heavy doors slid open for her. She stepped in and they closed behind her. She looked around. This room was very large and had several large windows that looked out into space. There was a somewhat large metal structure near the center and she couldn't make out just what it was.
All she knew was that she was disappointed. It clearly wasn't some port or hangar, for there were no small ships or space pods in sight. It was mostly just a very large empty space of a room. Christina turned around to leave, when a raspy voice broke the silence.
"Well, this is certainly a turn of events. My men scouring the ship and you just so happened to stumble upon this room. Certainly saves me the time and frustration." They said.
She froze and didn't turn to the source of the voice. Christina just stood there, staring at the double doors. Then she heard the faintest of footfalls coming from the direction of that one metal structure. They stopped about halfway, and that's when she slowly turned to face them.
A small gasp left her when she spotted who was standing in front of her about ten feet away. A rather petite' pale reptilian looking creature with a long tail was standing there; staring at her. He had a rather disturbing smirk on his face. His eyes scared her the most; blood red, and emotionless. Even though Christina never met him, she had a very good idea of who this was.
'No, it's him!' She thought, as she took a step back.
His smirk widened and he took a step towards her. Christina kept backing up to the doors though. Frieza noticed this and narrowed his eyes.
"And just where do you think you're going, human?" He said.
Christina was silent for a moment; before finding her voice.
"Away from you." She quickly said.
Then Christina did a one-sixty and tried to make the few steps to the doors. Unfortunately, she didn't make it very far. He suddenly appeared in front of her, blocking her escape. She gasped again in surprise and covered her mouth, not believing how fast he really was. Frieza found her reactions amusing and let out a slight chuckle.
"I take it this means you know who I am. Good. Then let's get down to business. I have some questions to ask of you. And you will do well to answer." He stated.
Christina eyed him and clenched her fists to keep her hands from shaking.
"I don't understand, what questions could you possibly have for me?" She asks.
"You're friends with Vegeta's Wife. I know she showed you that extract and what it can do. Tell me, did she ever inquire where and if she may have more of it stored away somewhere? Besides the vial that my men found?" He asked.
Honestly, she wouldn't know. Christina was certain that was the only supply she had. She's not even sure if Bulma would've told her if she had more of it lying around somewhere in her lab. She did express it was very hard to come by.
"No, that was the only vial I ever saw." She replied.
Frieza was rather disappointed with her answer and narrowed his eyes at her again.
"You certain? You better not be lying to me." He said, in a low dangerous tone.
Her heart rate started to accelerate again, not liking where this was going. Even though that is the truth, Christina was scared he still may not believe her.
"I am, that really is all she showed me. The stuff was very difficult to come by. It's not like anyone has vast stores of it somewhere in some warehouse. Or can find it at any local Flower Shop." She said.
He took another step closer to her and Christina stood; frozen as a statue. Those eyes seemed like they were looking right through her. She would even go as far as to describe it as the Devil peering into her very soul.
"For you're sake, let's hope you're right. Otherwise, it will not end well for you, and I promise; it won't be fast for you either." He threatened.
The only thing still running rampant in her mind currently was; 'This can't be happening.' But no matter how many times she kept telling herself that, she knew it wasn't true. This was happening to her. She really was standing in the presence of the notorious Galactic Emperor himself. With no way out.
Before either of them could say anything else; the double doors slid open behind Frieza, and someone else came in. It was both his subordinates; Berryblue and Kikono. The squat lime green alien seemed quite frazzled.
"Lord Frieza, we have extensively searched the ship and we couldn't..." He stopped short when he noticed Christina.
"As you can see; she is already here. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear she can tell us if Vegeta's Wife has more of the extract or not. Though it seems that vial our men secured for us, may in fact be the only supply she had on hand." Frieza said, without taking his eyes off of her.
"So, what shall we do with this one, My Lord?" Berryblue asked, as she eyed Christina.
Dread sunk down into her stomach like a lead weight at hearing that question. That's when Christina's eyes started to become a little glassy, she was already fearing the worst. Especially, if he didn't find her useful in anyway anymore. Frieza saw she was becoming more afraid by the minute. He suppose he could do away with the slip of a woman, but he had some other ideas too.
"Escort her to a cell for now. She may still prove to be useful in the near future." He replied.
Christina closed her eyes as a couple tears rolled down her cheeks. Berryblue bowed and floated over to Christina.
"Come, my dear." She said.
Christina had no choice but to follow. She looked over her shoulder, only to find the tyrant still watching her. So she turned her gaze forward again as she was led out of the Main Room.
Once the doors slid shut and she was out of sight, Frieza turned his attention back to Kikono.
"Have Toshi and Tak started with our newly replenished extract supply yet?" He asked his subordinate.
"Yes, My Lord. They said, it shouldn't take much longer to incorporate it into the project, it will be finished very soon." Kikono replied.
"Excellent, soon they will be able to replicate the formula. And we will be able to open portals to any world we want. Continue monitoring the process and keep me updated." Frieza demanded.
Kikono bowed his head, "Yes, My Lord."
Frieza then waved his hand, dismissing him. Once Kikono left and he was alone again, he went back to his chair in the center of the room. He let his gaze wander to the view in front of him. 'Even if she can't give me anymore information about the extract, she'd be nonetheless entertaining at the most. Perhaps she may give me some more information on what those monkeys been up to lately.'
He leaned back in his seat with a satisfied smirk. For once, it appears that everything has gone right with obtaining what he needed from Earth. It was always his biggest challenge in the past. Especially, considering his previous endeavors there always seemed to end in failure. But this time was different. This time, he will succeed. All he needed to do; was wait for the scientists to get the portal up and running.
I'm so sorry for such a long delay in chapter updates. But I just got the whole DBZ Kai Box Set in the mail last week and took a brief break from writing to watch all 7 Seasons. It's been years since I've seen them all, so I figured; Why not. Plus, I wanted to see if it can give me some more ideas to add to this story. Also, I know everyone may think everything Christina has done in this chapter so far was rather dumb. But hey; when most people panic, they tend to do dumb shit. I'm sure just about everyone would agree they would rather try to run; than stick around to see what would happen. In cases like this, it really was a fight or flight scenario for her. That's why in her panic, she decided to bolt from the Med Room. Hey, I would too if they said they were bringing me to someone as insane as Frieza. Anyways, there will be no more further delays. I will continue to try and knock out a chapter a day if I can. Until Next Time ;)
