A What If scenario set after the Indomitus Crusade. Lord Protector Roboute Guilliman [with support of the High Lords] makes the bold and controversial decision to revoke his Codex Astartes and create 20 new Legiones Imperialis. Each one a combined arms force of "Imperial Soup" drawn from every branch of the Imperium, given specific tasks and answering to a High Lord of Terra!

6. Chapter 6: Dominion

Cawl continues, as images of the legion relationships populate the hololiths "To clarify and continue your education, Dominion Legion VII, Cognomen: 'The Last Wall' is to provide materiel and manpower to the Crusade Legions IV and XVI, cognomens 'Scions of Iron' and 'Luna Wolves' respectively."

"Before more calls of 'Heresy' distract us" Interrupts the Warmaster, "yes the XVI legion will retain their Crusade honorific of the 'Luna Wolves'. This is to remind them of their forbears' shame and inspire them to do better. They will be supplied by the Last Wall, here in Segmentum Solar and the XIII Warborn, in the Sanctus half of the Ultima Segmentum. Their purpose is the support of the other legions, especially the crusaders. They will answer directly to the Lord Commander Militant of the Astra Militarum"

"If there are no more interruptions..." hisses Cawl "yes, the XVI 'Luna Wolves' are a relief and reinforcement legion drawn from the XIII and VII, as well as penal legions, warzone refugees, and any citizen of the Imperium seeking redemption or absolution. Unless the Lord Commander would like to elaborate on them ... no? Excellent... The Dominion Legion XIII, cognomen 'Warborn' are responsible for the protection and garrison of the Imperium Sanctus portion od the Ultramar Segmentum, with the exception of the Eastern Fringe and the Maelstrom Adjacent Autonomous Imperial Resource Extraction Zone, which shall have dedicated Dominions. The XIII, as well as the Dominion Legions assigned to existing Segmentum will be represented by the Lord Commander of that Segmentum."

"Indeed, Archmagos..." continues Guilliman after a pause to let the information sink in "With the Exception of the aforementioned VII, who answer to Captain-General Valoris, the Imperium Sanctus Dominions: protection Segmentums Obscurus, Ultima, Pacificus and Tempestus shall have as their High Lord the current Lord Commander of the Militarum for that Segmentum.
