6. Looking for the doctor

Meggie had been called by Mrs. Goodwin, so she was away from the ER for a while.

As soon as she returned she saw the folders she had given Will on the counter and she believed he was done. She started checking them out and was amazed. Some were complete, others still to be done, but two caught her attention.

They were complete but strangely written. It didn't look like Will's handwriting.

It was a flickering handwriting and then it didn't follow the course of the staff. Too strange for someone as precise as Halstead.

If she had written them to him then it was clear that something was wrong.

She had to find the doctor, she had to make sure she was okay.

She tried calling him on his cell phone, even though she knew she surely had placed it in the locker and on the pager, but she got no answer.

She started walking around the emergency room, asking nurses if anyone had seen him.

- Did Dr. Charles see Dr. Halstead by any chance? - churches

- No, not today - he replied

- Ethan have you met Will? - Meggie asked

- No, are there any problems? - Said the doctor
