I do not own any characters or plots that can be recognized from Stephanie Meyer's Twilight series.

This story takes place right after Breaking Dawn, but there was no imprint on Renesmee. All the events remain the same, and after they fought the Volturi the Cullens moved to Canada.

Chapter 6: A Helpful Dinner

Seth's POV:

Previously:

Hopefully I can accidentally run into her so I get to talk or spend time with her. If I don't then I will have to wait for her to start school.

Today it is Monday which means I have to go to school. I haven't seen Alex since the bonfire, and I fell empty. To make it all worse I have to go suffer through school today. None of the other guys with imprints their age still go to school though, so at least I won't have to suffer through watching their PDA knowing that I want to be doing exactly what they are with Alex.

The day moves by slowly. Mr. Brown would not shut up in History class. He kept going on and on about the American Depression which was very depressing especially since I was already having a bad day. Then in math we got a surprise pop quiz which there is no way I passed. PE was the only class that was ok, and that is just because I got to run the whole time which also meant I spent a whole hour thinking about Alex.

Finally when lunch came around I sit at the normal pack table with Jake, Embry, Quil, Collin, and Brady. Jared, Leah, Sam, and Paul already graduated. Well, technically Paul dropped out, but the point is he is still not in high school. Jacob, Embry, and Quil should have graduated last year, but missed too much school since we were dealing with Bella being pregnant and the Volturi threatening to attack. Collin, Brady, and I almost had to repeat too, but we were able to take summer school to make sure we passed.

In the cafeteria I put some food on my tray. Honestly, I'm not that hungry, but I know they will make me eat something if I don't. I sit down at the table at the guys start talking. Being here is torture. Then Jake looks at me: "Alexa seems to be settled in to La Push well. The twins started school today, and I heard her up in the office registering herself when I got to school, so she should be joining us soon. Also, I can't believe I'm doing this, but I like you better than Paul, so I will be nice. Alexa is coming over after school to my house. You and your mom can join us for dinner. Leah too, but I know she has patrol."

"Wait, Really? You are helping me get close to my imprint?" I asked disbelievingly.

"Yeah, I don't know why, but I am." Jake responds.

"Ok well I will be there and will see if my mom wants to come."

After School I head over to Emily's with Collin and Brady. We eat food and get our homework done. I would blow off my homework, but my mom threatened me, and she is scary when she wants to be. Also, now that I have imprinted if she punishes me its time that I can't be with Alex, so I will not be failing school. After finishing my homework, I beat Collin and Brady in Mario Kart a few times. Then, I raced home.

"Mom, come on, I told Jake we would eat at his house tonight." I yelled to her.

"Now why would we be eating at the Black's?" She asked.

I smiled sheepishly, "Because Alex will be there, and I haven't seen her since the funeral."

"Oh of course. I shouldn't be surprised. Well ok, I don't mind joining the Black's for dinner." She responded.

We hopped in the car and headed over to the Black's house. When we walked in, Rachel and Alex were just finishing cooking. When they finished and set the table, we all sat down. Embry, Jake, and Quil sat at one end. I sat to the left of Quil, and my mom sat next to me. Rachel sat to the left of my mom. Then Billy dat at the end of the table opposite to Jacob. The twins sat opposite to Mom and Rachel, and directly in front of me was my beautiful Alexandra.

"So, Rachel how's teaching going?" My mom asked.

"It is going well. I really like teaching the sixth graders. They are at the level where they are mature enough where I don't have to baby them, but not mature enough where they get themselves into to much trouble." She responded.

Conversation flowed naturally like this for the rest of dinner. I learned Alex used to live in Los Angeles. She said it was nice being in the city as everything was close and she could walk to many places. She told me how they used to dive down to the beach some weekends. It was not close, but close enough for them to drive and spend a day there. Besides the mention of the beach she did not talk about anything that was not school. It seemed like she was hiding something, but it is more likely she was not ready to talk too much about her father yet.

After dinner while we were talking in the living room, I found out she starts school tomorrow. She agreed to let me show her around. Then, unfortunately, she had to leave cause her siblings needed to sleep. I liked having her at dinner, but I know it was also hard not to talk about wolf stuff which we couldn't in front of her, at least not yet. I would have to tell her one day.

After mom drove me home, I went up to my room and snuck out the window. I did not have to patrol until 3 am. I headed over to Alex's house and sat outside in wolf form listening to her calming heart beat as she slept until it was time for me to patrol.
