A/N thanks for your reviews and support.
Yumi Edogawa: thanks for your review my friend. I'm so glad you enjoyed it. It did require physical contact. Up to that point the two had come into physical contact. Izuku and Aizawa will definitely have an interesting relationship.
Tsukauchi's POV
Going home after Kaze was released was both a feeling of relief and exhausted. He wanted nothing more than to collapse onto his bed. Showering was probably a good idea but he didn't want to move.
Groaning Naomasa stripped from his usual suit. The scent of smoke clung to him as he entered the shower. Ten minutes later found him in front of the mirror smelling less of smoke and fire.
Wiping the mirror he checked over his reflection. Dark bags lay under his onyx eyes. His lack of a sleep schedule was only becoming more and more apparent. If Tsuragamae saw him in his current state the man would insist on him taking a vacation. Right time off... with a vigilante turning licensed hero on the loose. Yeah that was not happening.
Naomasa was going to change and go to bed when he caught sight of the soulmark. It had changed much to his horror. What was once just a green badger across his heart. Now was a black leopard with onyx eyes wrapped around a green badger with green eyes.
Soulmarks only changed when the two came into physical contact with each other. There was only one person he had come into physical contact with was Kaze. A vigilante that all they knew about was that he had green eyes and a wind quirk.
Then not a second later he remembered when his mark appeared. 12 years ago his mark had appeared. His soulmate... Kaze was a child.
Son of a bitch... why him? How was he supposed to react to this?
Izuku's POV
Ducking under the knife that made to cut him across the throat. He lunged trying to bring himself close to the man. The other's free hand stopped and pushed him back.
Then the man lunged at him. Izuku grabbed his wrist twisting counterclockwise and pressing into the pressure points. That forced the man to let go of the knife.
Izuku twisted throwing the man over his shoulder. He kept ahold of the wrist and twisted it behind him and planted his knee into his back. A grunt resounded through the man. For a moment he struggled to try and get free. Without any leverage though he was unable to get back up.
"Alright, Izuku I give," conceded Orion.
Izuku immediately let the other go and helped him to his feet. Despite helping Izuku with his training Orion wasnt much of a fighter. The man was more suited for intelligence work.
Orion went and picked up the knife before flipping it handle first to him. Izuku took it and sheathed the blade.
Since his fight at the docks the had been working on his other skills. They both worked on their hand to hand combat skills. Orion wasnt one for fighting but he no longer wanted to risk it.
For his part Izuku needed someone besides criminals to improve his skills. On top of improving those skills he also worked on his hacking skills. He spent a lot of his time breaking into CIRO's files. Their files had been wells of information and by using their information he improved his analysis skills.
With his healing complete Izuku was back to patrolling the evenings. Very little had changed about the patrols themselves. He still patrolled the poorer districts and avoided most heroes. The few heroes that saw him around greeted him with cautious warmth. Well, Endeavour was still the exception to that rule. That man was determined to roast him alive.
Changing into his vigilante gear he called out, "Orion I'm off to patrol."
"Keep your comm on," called back the man.
Izuku grunted in reply as he left Castle heading towards the rooftop. Pulling his earpiece from his jacket he did a comm check and put it in his ear. Once he confirmed it was functional he set off on his usual route.
Criminals it seemed had become bold in his absence. Only a few days was enough to spur the rumors of his demise. Rumors that he was quick to dispel with his ruthless takedowns and locations sent to Tsukauchi.
Despite the fact that he couldn't be arrested Izuku didnt stick around. His goal was to let the streets know that he was back.
If he was honest that wasnt the only reason he was avoiding the detective. The change of his soulmark had scared him. His soulmate was Tsukauchi Naomasa a man who had chased him for years. A man that was fourteen years his senior.
Izuku didnt want a confrontation to happen between them. He quite enjoyed being his own person unbound by adults who thought they knew best. Orion for his part was understanding of Izuku's need for freedom. He long ago stopped trying to restrict him in fear of the vigilante deciding to just not return one day.
Stopping on a rooftop he took a breather for a moment. He wasnt hiding himself within the wind as he usually did. Instead he was allowing himself to be seen more than usual. It was the plan as he wanted the streets to be more aware of who protected the streets.
The shifting of the air behind him alerted Izuku that he was no longer alone. Spirits of the Wind had alerted him that Eraser was in the area. A part of him had thought it would take longer for the man to catch up with. Oh well it could be worse.
Greeting over his shoulder, "Hey Eraser! What brings you to this side of Musutafu tonight?"
The dark haired man sighed as he sat on the roof beside Izuku, "You do. Why are you avoiding Tsukauchi? You dont have to avoid us now that you are a registered hero. In fact you need to come by the station at some point so we can give you, your provisional license. It's been approved by the Commission."
Right having his actual license on him would make things easier. Not all heroes kept up with the police. So the information about him being a hero now might not have gotten around to everyone.
Avoiding the question he said, "I'll stop by the department another night. My presence is needed out here tonight."
Eraser said and Izuku could hear the frown on his face, "Things dont have to be that way, Kaze. At the very least though you should talk with Tsukauchi. He does not deserve your scorn. For whatever reason you are turning away from him you should at least talk to him about why."
Izuku quipped back, "Not going to try and convince me to tell you, Eraserhead? Would have thought you'd want the answers for yourself."
Eraser shook his head as he replied, "And deal with you full time? No thanks. I'll leave that to Hawks, Jeanist, and Tsukauchi."
Ouch that hurt. It was fair though. He did cause them all a lot of trouble. Maybe he should go speak with the detective. Just not tonight.
