Those nine months passed swiftly and now Juvia was due any day. And Gray was nervous.

He would fuss over every little kick and cramp Juvia felt, thinking it was time. But they were all false alarms.

Juvia was starting to worry more about him than the impending arrival of their child. She didn't like seeing him so worried. So today Gray had strict orders to leave her alone and take a nap. He needed his rest too. But just as he closed his eyes, he heard Juvia scream.

Immediately he rushes downstairs to find her.

"Juvia what's-" He stops when he sees her bent over in pain and a puddle of water on the floor.

"Is that from your water body like last time-" Gray starts, not wanting to jump to conclusions after being scolded for doing so so many times.

"No! It's the baby! Gray-sama it's time-ah!" Juvia groans in pain as another contraction kicks in.


Gray hated seeing Juvia in pain. He was always so protective of her during battles because he never wanted to see her hurt. This was different though. He couldn't take away her labor pains. And seeing her laying on the bed, grimacing or moaning in pain from every contraction was torture for him.

Juvia notices and squeezes his hand to assure him that she's alright.

"Don't worry Gray-sama. This will be all over soon. And it will be worth it once we can see our child." Juvia says.
