Chapter Six "What makes you think that, Agent Bianco?" Fury questioned, the group looked on with surprise. "Well, as you know my abilities are to a fault. Not being sufficient enough to work on the likes of Dr. Banner and Captain Rogers. However, the two gods give off auras, feelings instead of thoughts." Alice spoke unsure of herself. This was different. She didn't have a thing for feeling people's thoughts. Only hearing them. "Your point, Agent?" Fury said, the not slightest bit interested. "My point, Director, is that when Loki made eye contact with the Doctor down in the lab.. he went from a collected and calm persona to one of malevolent intent." She left out the part of how his aura changed to less-then-holy when his gaze had turned to her. She continued feeling everyone's gaze upon her. "Agent Bianco. I appreciate your input but as we know, your abilities have proved that they are unreliable when used against more elite persons." Fury commented while putting his hand on her shoulder. Alice nodded, "Yes, Sir." She replied before the group became quiet. Steve broke the silence to get back to the main problem at hand. "I'd start with that stick of his. It may be magical but it works an awful lot like a HYDRA weapon." He looked around the group for confirmation. "I don't know about that but it is powered by the cube." Director Fury stated, "And I'd like to know how Loki used it to turn two of the sharpest men I know into his personal flying monkeys." "Monkeys? I do not understan-" Thor was interrupted by a slightly excited Captain America. "I do! I-I understood that reference." Tony rolled his eyes and Alice stifled her laughter as Steve then looked around a bit embarrassed. "Shall we play, Doctor?" Tony spoke up, Bruce held his arm out towards the direction of the labs. "This way, Sir." Bruce stood there for a moment looking at Alice to see if she would be coming along also. "Agent Bianco has other obligations to attend to right now besides being a lab assistant, Dr. Banner. She will most likely join you later." Director Fury said noticing the exchange of looks. Alice gave an apologetic smile to Bruce who nodded his head to the group and quickly walked after Tony. "Agent Bianco," Fury turned his attention to her. "Phase Two, go make sure all shipments are ready." "Sir? That's not really my area." She responded unsure of his requests. "Agent Hill is notably busy at the moment and cannot fulfill those duties at the current time. So you will." He replied before turning around and overlooking the tracking progress. After checking through that all the orders in the system and making sure everything was set to go, Alice walked through the pristine halls of S.H.I.E.L.D before coming to the door where the Phase Two shipments were being held. There was a problem that set Alice's nerves alight with adrenaline. The heavy, secure metal door had been physically opened and left ajar. Only specific, full time, level six agents were allowed access to this door. At most there were six people, herself included. She pulled out her mandatory S.H.I.E.L.D pistol weapon and got into a defensive position before stepping inside and closing the door with a push of her powers. She quickly and quietly cleared the first floor before moving onto the catwalks above her. She saw a flash of blue and white across the room from her as she turned around. Immediately, without thinking she whipped a hand out and sent whoever it was flying to the ground before she held them up with her force and brought them closer. She gasped and dropped the person when she saw them, quickly running over to the figure laying on the ground checking of they were okay. "Steve! Are you okay? What are you doing in here?" Alice quickly rattled on, she was pressing her hands to his neck, checking his pulse. As useless as it was considering he was a super soldier. "Alice?" He looked at her a bit dazed after being thrown around like a rag doll. "So that's what you do." He chuckled to himself and Alice let out a small sigh of relief that he was well enough to joke. "Yes, that's some of what I do. You didn't answer the question." Alice quietly replied, she had managed to help him into a standing position. Steve became a bit nervous speaking to the S.H.I.E.L.D agent. "Dr. Banner, Stark and myself were.. discussing a certain topic of S.H.I.E.L.D secrets when we came across a few suspicions about what plans were going around." He calmly said while still looking around for suspicious boxes. Alice's eyes widened a bit, she bit the inside of her cheek. "And what plans exactly are you talking about?" She questioned hesitantly. "We believe that S.H.I.E.L.D may be making war weapons, not sure of what yet." He looked up to make eye contact with a stone faced agent. "Do you know if that's true?" Alice panicked for a moment on the inside, her facial expression never changing. She was saved by both their earpieces ringing with the sound of Agent Romanoff's voice. "Loki means to unleash the hulk. Keep Banner in the lab, I'm on my way. Send Thor as well." Steve looked down at Alice, debating whether to leave the conversation or push more. "They don't need us. Now answer the question." "Steve...please. We can't be in here and if Director Fury finds out we will both have consequences." She tried to smoothly avoid the subject but Rogers was smarter than that. "Alice, you know don't you? What's going on here? What are they doing?" Steve continued asking her questions as he stepped towards her, Alice taking a step back each time. "It's classified on a need-to-know basis. I absolutely can not tell you any more." Alice was starting to panic more, her heart rate increasing. Steve looked furious at this new hidden information and kept backing her up towards the wall. Alice's leg knocked over an unsealed box and one of the Phase 2 weapons tumbled out. Both agents froze and looked towards the technology, Steve hurriedly snatched it up and took off towards the labs with Alice chasing after him. "Steve! Rogers!" She realized that catching up with a super soldier was a futile attempt and she let out a silent curse as she continued to run after him, already knowing where he was heading.
