Jaune was currently in quite the pickle...
Ever since he, without so much as expecting it became the leader of his own team at Beacon for the next four years Team JNPR, and right now he is in the office of the Headmaster of Beacon Academy being asked about his swords from another world Wado Ichimonji and Emna!
'What am I going to DO?! No...wait...Calm down and think you knew sooner of later Jaune that you were going to be asked about Wado Ichimonji and Emna! After all only a fool wouldn't have seen them in action first hand and not have a bunch of questions.' thought Jaune as he expected this to happen sooner or later but he never expected it to happen so soon after he got into Beacon.
"What about Wado Ichimonji and Emna?"asked Jaune trying to play innocence although he had a feeling that the Headmaster was on to him.
"Mr Arc I'm going to be completely honest with you as you are currently the only student at this entire Academy that does not use a Mecha shift. I was also worried when you caught on your application that your katanas were very old. But it seems my fears were unwarranted based on the display Wado Ichimonji and Emna showed when you use them earlier today at the initiation."said Ozpin as Jaune could pretty much guess what he was getting at as it didn't take a genius to figure out that Ozpin knew something.
'Either this guy likes the sound of his own voice or he's basically telling me and not so subtle words tell me everything about these swords?!' thought Jaune as Professor Goodwitch decided to speak.
'While you were at the team forming ceremony I took the liberty of having Wado Ichimonji and Emna examine for any dust particles and I found it extremely suspicious that despite the abilities they displayed Wado Ichimonji and Emna appear at least to a scan to be normal swords with no Mecha shift capabilities at all."said Glynda as she was giving Jaune a suspicious glare.
'How can someone so pretty be so intimidating...' thought Jaune who decided to play it cool and answer questions as truthfully as possible without not revealing too much.
"The reason Wado Ichimonji is so sturdy and Emna has such cutting powers is because they were made by a master sword maker who dedicated his entire life to making the best swords around." said Jaune who was showing no sign of the seat as he was technically telling the truth.
"Do tell us all about this master sword maker?"asked Ozpin as he wanted to hear everything from the horse's mouth.
'Here we go as soon as I say his name they're going to recognize at least part of it.' thought Jaune cryptidly as he decided to speak.
"His name is Shimotsuki Kozaburo and I'm sure that both of you recognize the name Shimotsuki."said Jaune as he was sure this world is different from the one he knows.
"You mean he's a relative of Shimotsuki Ryuma, the human hero of the Faunus."said Glynda who recognize the name Shimotsuki.
'I don't know why but it appears that some One Piece characters were born into this world and displayed great acts that are the stuff of legends! This world is lucky that people like Kaido, Big Mom, and Blackbeard don't exist since the handful of people who could take them on don't exist in this world either or have long since passed...I wonder how much different this world is from the original.' thought Jaune who wondered how much this world was different from the original but then decided to focus on what was going on right now.
"Yes Shimotsuki Ryuma, known to have liberated thousands of Faunus during the early settlements of the Kingdom from slavery and cruelty of cruel humans as well as help them make settlements and because of those actions he's considered a hero to the Faunus despite having been human. He is also famous for slaying a giant Dragon Grimm using his legendary sword Shusui, one of the most legendary swords in Remnant's history"said Jaune who decided to give a brief explanation since he felt it was appropriate for the conversation.
"Yes known for his continuous pursuit of the blade and always protecting the weak and innocent not mattering if they were Human or Faunus. It's ashamed warriors like him are no longer around as someone like him could really help with the current situation with the Grimm. If I'm not mistaken his grave was moved to Menagerie after the civil war between the Humans and Faunus as a peace agreement because as you said Mr. Arc to the Faunus he is considered a hero who's name means a great deal to every single Faunus in the Kingdom's."said Ozpin in a strange way and if Jaune didn't know any better he would be sure that Ozpin was speaking in a way like he knew Ryuma when he was alive.
"I also heard that his sword Shusui is not with him at his grave and that no one is really sure what happened to the blade as when he died he did not have it on him."said Glynda wondering whatever happened to the legendary blade known as Shusui.
"We are getting off topic here. So you said that your sword were made by a descendant of Ryuma named Shimotsuki Kozaburo but I have never heard of him."said Ozpin and Jaune expected this.
"He was never in it for fame or fortune he just wanted to make great swords so he is not well known. Heck if you ask anyone the name Shimotsuki Kozaburo no one will know it but it can assure you he was one of the greatest swordsmakers of all time as you can see with his work."said Jaune as Wado Ichimonji and Emna were brought into the office.
Jaune was surprised to see them as he was sure he put them in his locker!
"Apologizes Mr Arc but I took the liberty of getting your swords out of your locker to personally see them myself."said Ozpin as the swords were placed on his desk and he began looking at them by grabbing them and unsheathing them.
Ozpin started with Wado Ichimonji and inspected the blade. Despite having been hit by the stinger of a Deathstalker with great force there was not a single scratch on the blade as on the contrary the blade actually caused damage to the deathstalker causing a large nick on its stinger based on earlier observations from the video before the Grimm perished.
Wado Ichimonji was indeed a really well made sword and it looked like it could withstand almost anything.
'I know Mr Arc said his semblance hardening protecting his blade but a clear observation from the video showed that Wado Ichimonji wasn't covered by his semblance when he protected Miss Rose from the Deathstalker. Even though this is an old blade there is no signs of wear and tear as it looks brand new like it had been refurbished. This sword is indeed a great sword.' thought Ozpin as he placed Wado Ichimonji back on his desk.
"Wado Ichimonji is certainly a very sharp blade but it's specialty is the fact that it's extremely sturdy isn't it Mr Arc."
"Yes Headmaster as Wado Ichimonji is an extremely durable blade as it is said to cut through steel like butter and even if it stepped on by a large Grimm it will not bend even a millimeter."said Jaune.
Ozpin then picked up Emna and carefully unsheathed the blade. Indeed Emna appear to have been made by the same sword maker who made Wado Ichimonji but it was different and not just an appearance. The blade had one look like a flame like design and as Ozpin saw earlier this sword has incredible cutting power.
"Tell me about Emna, why did it create such powerful slashes out of wind and why did it cause your arm to shrink?"asked Ozpin as Jaune already had an answer for this in case he was ever asked.
"Emna is a sword that through a special material in the handle will allow it to drain Aura from the user and use said Aura to create extremely powerful cuts. It will cut more than necessary and those who are not prepared will have a lot of their Aura drained."said Jaune who was technically telling the truth as that was the explanation Zoro got when he got Emna from Tenguyama Hitetsu.
"I see... I have certainly never heard of materials that can do this but then again this world is full of mysteries. So Mr Arc care to tell me how you came into possession of these two swords?"asked Ozpin.
'I knew I was going to be asked this sooner or later and I never really wanted to think about how I really got these swords so I convinced myself they appeared in my room. But I guess the truth will set me free from this very awkward situation...' thought Jaune as he took a deep breath and began recalling how he came into possession of Wado Ichimonji and Emna.
[Flashback]
It all started several months ago as he was making his way to the kingdom of Vale or more specifically Beacon Academy. Jaune passed through Mistral as a precaution as he ran away from home.
During his travels he encountered several Grimm and chose to hide in an old shack until they disappeared.
Jaune didn't come onto the shack by accident as he was in the area looking for something his great grandfather said before he died that many of his current living relatives played off as mere legend.
His grandfather told him that the Arc and Shimotsuki family were long time friends as they were some of the oldest families in all of Remnant and had helped each other a lot during the Great War.
Jaune's great grandfather said that as the Shimotsuki family was dying out because of lack of heir's and that most of the living generation were already very old, the last head of the Shimotsuki family left him a map on how to find the family's treasure.
Of course Jaune's great grandfather was really old when he told this story so many of his family brushed It off as just a babbling of an old man who was passed his prime or he just imagined it.
Jaune on the other hand always believed the story because of his special circumstances and one day as he was playing in an old part of the family home he happened to find a map behind the portrait of his great grandfather.
Jaune waited many years until he was old enough to attend Beacon to set out to find the Shimotsuki family treasure and use the map to let him to this old shack.
"So this is where the Shimotsuki family hide their family treasure and I got to say it's a clever place to hide something so valuable since no one would ever suspect that something belonging to a once prominent family being hidden in such an old looking shack."said Jaune who had a pretty good idea where the treasure was so he began removing the floorboards.
Sure enough there was a well sealed box underneath the floorboards under a few inches of dirt and when Jaune oped it he was surprised to see what was inside.
There was Wado Ichimonji and Emna looking as new as if they were just forged yesterday. Jaune couldn't believe his luck as he knew because of his circumstances that these were two of the finest swords ever to exist so he quickly picked them up and placed them in his frog belt.
He also noticed that there was something else in the box so he collected it and decided to use it later when he was stronger.
"I can't believe something like this was also in this box."said Jaune as he wrapped the mystery item carefully and made his way out of the shack once the Grimm had finally moved on.
[Flashback End]
"So your great-grandfather who many of your family considered was crazy left a map that led you to these swords."said Glynda summarizing Jaune's story in a few words.
"Yeah when I found that map as a child I knew it had to be something special so I kept to myself and waited for the day I was old enough to attend Beacon to set out and find it. I am glad I found Wado Ichimonji and Emna as I know it sounds strange but I think it was fate that I find these swords and that they became my weapons."said Jaune who honestly believe that.
"Fate works in mysterious ways Mr Arc. Well you may head off to your dorm room since you have satisfied me with all of your answers...for now."said Ozpin as Jaune could clearly tell that he was still suspecting him of something.
Jaune said nothing as he politely excused himself before walking back towards the elevator and leaving the headmasters office with Wado Ichimonji and Emna.
"Do you think he's still holding something back?"asked Glynda.
"I am quite sure he still hiding many things about himself Glynda but all we can do is believe in our students as I can tell it his eyes that many of his words he truly believes in and I truly believe he wants to help people as that's what he put on why he wanted to come to Beacon."said Ozpin who honestly believe that Jaune Arc would prove to be a great asset in the future.
As for Jaune he was currently going down the elevator deep in thought.
"This World appears to be combined although I doubt any of the living characters currently in One Piece are even here as I looked up everything I could and I came up with noting on the Will of D, Marines, Seven Warlords of the Sea, Four Emperors, or the Strawhat Pirates...I guess now that I think about it that it's a good thing that some of these dangerous people don't exist in this world since I don't think the people can handle them when they already have the Grimm to worry about...' thought Jaune as the elevator reached the first floor and he got off.
"Well I better get you guys back to my locker and then head off to my dorm room for some much-needed rest."said Jaune as he made his way to the locker rooms.
After securing his swords in his locker room and changing his locker password Jaune went back to the dorms and luckily for him his dorm room was unlocked as he was afraid.
As Jaune made his way inside assuming that his team was already asleep he got an unexpected hug from one Nora Valkyrie!
"I'm so glad you're okay fearless leader!"said Nora and she was gripping Jaune tightly.
"How does someone with such small arms have so much strength!' thought Jaune as he felt something soft.
'Oh my... I knew she was big but not this big!' thought Jaune as he started wiggling like a snake and managed to get out of Nora's vice.
"Phew!... what's going on guys I thought you would be asleep by now."said Jaune as he was trying to regain his breath.
"Nora said she wouldn't sleep until her fearless leader was okay. Oh and the reason she's calling you that is she thought it would be a cool nickname for you."said Ren as he gave Jaune a look of pity as although he has gotten used to those vice-like hugs he knows other people had barely experienced it.
"Jaune why did Headmaster Ozpin call you up to his office?"asked Pyrrah who gave him a worried look.
"He just wanted to know everything about my swords and I told him everything I knew. Now come on guys let's get some sleep as classes begin tomorrow and I don't want to wake up late as I'm sure the teacher will scold us like no tomorrow if we're late on the first day of school."said Jaune as he went into the bathroom to change into his pajamas.
"He's right guys it's getting late."said Pyrrah.
"Oh boo I wanted to stay up late and talk about everything about me and ran with you guys and vise versa. But Jaune is right since I don't want to be scolded tomorrow."said Nora as she quickly jumped into the bed and a few seconds later she was already snoring.
Ren rolled his eyes at his partner and childhood friend's antics as he got into his bed and quickly went to sleep as well.
Pyrrah still look worried as jaune came out of his bathroom in his pajamas which consisted of black shorts and a white T-shirt.
"I'm sure you're worried about my arms shrinking earlier. Enma is a unique blade that I have yet to master. I still need to get much stronger if I want to get to the next level and level up."said Jaune as he looked at something underneath his bed before turning his attention back to Pyrrah.
"Jaune just be careful."said Pyrrah as she gave him a hug before going to her bed to get some sleep.
Jaune meanwhile went back to the bathroom to brush his teeth and after he was finished he went back to his bed and laid down but noticed he had trouble sleeping and it wasn't because of anything happened today.
'Great I'm sleeping in the same room with two smoking hot girls and somehow the other guy in the room is also okay with this. This is... going to be an interesting year...' thought Jaune as he tried to calm his mind and get some sleep.
