Authors Notes: And we're back with PH6 Mission Athena, where things are about to go from bad to, well worse for our heroes, and some unknown facts may even come to light.

:Chapter 5:
Not so Possible Anymore:
Previously:
"This ones good, maybe even better than you." Shego words echoed.
"Could it be that Kim Possible is becoming Kim Probable?"
"Oh no." Honey breathed.
"Should we tell Kim." Hiro wondered.
"I have a feeling she already knows Hiro." Ann said with a knowing worried tone.
"But it gets worse." Tim said.
"Further more the footage revealed a group of certain other heroes there at the scene." The group looked in horror as they saw Big Hero 6 in the lab fighting the Syntho Drones and Shego on that day.
"These individuals have been identified as Big Hero 6 a superhero team that operate in San Fransokyo, now an even bigger question is raised how did they end up there and is it a coincidence."
Hiros face was completely petrified as was everyone else's. How the heck did this happen, now everyone knows Big Hero 6 was seen outside of San Fransokyo.
"What the…." Said a panicked Hiro with his hands on his head with wide eyes.
And now:
In the living room of the Possible household all was in a deafening silence. Honey Lemon, Gogo, Wasabi, Fred, Hiro, Baymax, The Tweebs and Ann Possible had just seen a news cast not only about Kim being scared stiff, but also footage of the six heroes operating outside of San Fransokyo. This meant only one thing.
"Oh man we are so..busted!" Wasabi panicked.
"Okay now let's not jump to conclusions here, I mean for all we know this is nothing but fancy editing tricks like you see on Youtube." Honey Lemon tried to keep calm in this situation.
"Nope thats raw footage." Gogo said.
"Yep thats recorded on site." Jim said.
"How'd you know?" Fred asked.
"Dude we have a sister to spy on remember?" Tim said to him.
Hiro looked like he was about to have a panic attack. Baymax could see he was panicking. "Hiro your anxious state and loss of breath indicate the start of a panic attack.
"Panic?! Who's panicking I'm not panicking!" Hiro said frantically.
Baymax scanned Hiro's vitals and could see he was panicking. "Your vital signs indicate otherwise."
"YES I'M PANICKING!" Hiro exclaimed. "H..how did this even happen! If people see Big Hero 6 outside the city they're gonna wonder how they got here I mean what if the cops guess its us!"
"Hiro's right what if they suspect us already?" Wasabi wondered. "Okay lets get our stories straight for when they question us! Okay! We're here to support our friend on his work placement we don't fight monsters we do science with them!"
"Uh do monsters even do science?" Tim wondered.
"Okay guys stop!" Gogo exclaimed getting their attention. "We're all as terrified about this as you are! But until there are actual consequences we can't drive ourselves mad wondering!"
Wasabi took a few deep breaths as he took in what Gogo was saying. "Y..your right your right, nothings happened yet and I probably shouldn't freak out until it does. Which it will…. any second."
"Look what ever happens we're all in this together." Honey assured.
"But for the record Fred this is why we don't bring work on trips!" Gogo pointed the blame finger at Fred.
"Oh come on guys Kim said so herself the government has a way of keeping things quiet and I didn't see any secret cameras!" Fred defended.
"Uh Fred, secret lab! Theres bound to be secret cameras didn't your nerd comics teach you that!" Gogo exclaimed.
"Well I'm not even gonna dignify that with a response." Fred said a little offended.
"Okay everyone stay calm, I'm sure we can get all this resolved." Ann said to assure them but at that moment Hiro's phone sounded off and so he answered it.
"Hello?" He said. "Oh hey Aunt Cass, yeah I saw the news…yeah I can't believe its Big Hero 6 either." He listened to what his aunt said. "What no no theres no need to come here… no no I'm perfectly fine yes but but but…"
Ann could see Hiro was panicking. "Hiro let me speak to her." She asked and so Hiro handed her the phone. "Hi Cassie." She greeted on the phone and they could just about here Cass's panicking voice on the line. "Now now calm down Hiro is just fine, theres no need to worry about a thing. Look calm down theres no need to come here he's doing his work placement and is totally safe."
Cass's voice still sounded a little unconvinced. "Cassie have I ever lied to you, I'm a doctor don't worry you'll see Hiro in a week when he finishes his work experience so don't worry." Ann assured. Cass's voice sounded a little more assured.
"Okay great see you in a week." Ann said as she hung up the phone. She then looked to Hiro. "Well I was able to convince your aunt not to worry, so she won't be coming down early."
"Whew." Hiro breathed in relief. "Thanks Mrs Possible you're a life saver."
"Hiro it's no trouble, besides its not the first time I had to calm her down." Ann said remembering how many times Cass overreacted back in High School.
Hiro was glad to hear that, but realised something. "Oh man I gotta get down to the space centre or Vivian is gonna wonder where I am. Come on Baymax." Hiro took his leave with Baymax waddling behind him.
"So what do we do?" Wasabi asked.
"We need to go talk to Kim, see if she can't help our little crisis." Gogo suggested and so the group heads out of the house.
"She's probably having a bad day of this too." Wasabi wondered.
"Oh no she's a tough person she wouldn't let this weigh her down." Honey Lemon said optimistically.
Meanwhile: Middleton High School:
How wrong could anyone person meanwhile at Middleton High as Kim walked into the school in a mess. She wore a blue baggy hoodie and her hair was a complete mess, and she wore her normal green pants with white sneakers.
All around school people were waving around staffs and looking at their phones. Namely at the footage of Athena using a bo staff. One student leaped in front of her trying to use a bo staff only to fail miserably.
"This throw down is sick." Said one student. "Athena is absolutely destroying Shego!"
"And that hair can you believe she goes to our school." Said another.
Kim could see they were talking about the video clip of Athena beating Shego on her first mission. She wasn't showing it but it seemed like it was just a reminder of how she freaked out on mission.
"Whoa Big Hero 6 outside of their city!" called a nerdy students voice.
"That means they must be someone here in town!" Said another kid. Kim just cringed at that knowing she now had to deal with her friends damage control too.
Later in the cafeteria, the students were still playing around with staffs trying to do Athena's move. Some were still sat down at lunch. Kim and Ron sat at a table eating their school dinner. Or trying to, just then an announcement from Mr. Barkin came on the morning announcements.
"A reminder people no stick, dow or rod play on school property." he said. "No matter how utterly effortless, Athena made it look in that video I have watched nine times."
Kim just played with her food with her fork not even touching it even Ron could see something was up with his best friend.
"Hey you okay KP you're not your normal self?" Ron asked as Rufus appeared on his shoulder.
"Well you would be too if suddenly your the laughing stock of the school." Kim said a little down.
"Hey come on so what if Shego got the better of you and that vid of us loosing it in that eel tank is everyones favourite I'm sure by tomorrow everyone will have forgotten it ever happened." Ron said assuringly.
Though the red headed teen did perk up a little, it was about to get even worse.
"You're the best!" Kim knew that voice. She turned round and saw Bonnie was talking to Athena who was sporting a fresh look of a blue jacket a white shirt and black pants with white sneakers.
"Your moves are great your style is flawless, and that hair the perfect shade the perfect outfit, and those boots are everything!" Bonnie said out of niceness though it was really a way to get at Kim who just looked away frowning whilst Ron maintained a strained smile.
"Tons across the board." Bonnie said.
Athena just let out a light laugh as she couldn't believe how nice Bonnie was being. "Bonnie, your seriously so nice." she said then noticing Kim and Ron at a table.
"Hey guys." She greeted.
"Hey Athena." Ron said as he scooted up for her to sit between him and Kim.
"Oh hey K, you look shocking today, not seen any electric eels around huh." Bonnie cracked as she walked by much to Kims dismay.
"Oh hey girl see you after school." Bonnie then said to Athena.
Kim and Ron looked at Athena all but confused, by what their rival had said. "After school?" Kim wondered.
"Oh yeah." Athena realised. "Funny Bonnie really wants me to try out for the cheer squad."
Kims face just froze at the very thing she suggested to her friend, and Bonnie was instantly taking advantage of that. And her knew this was her way of getting under Kims skin and he wasn't liking where this was going.
"Which is weird because I know they don't take freshmen but, she just laughed and said not to worry." Athena said.
"I bet she did." Kim breathed a little irritated.
Later at cheer practice it only got worse cause when she arrived at the gym in her cheerleading gear. She saw that practice was already underway and that Athena was now in cheerleading gear and performed a flip landing on top of the human pyramid.
"Go… Mad Dogs!" Athena cheered as she leaped down from the pyramid.
"Nice one Athena, with your skills we may just rule the reigonals!" Terra cheered.
"I'd say we got us a new addition to the squad right girls?" Bonnie said and they all cheered in agreement.
Just then they all noticed Kim in the room. "Oh hey Kim guess what I made the squad! Isn't that awesome!" Athena said excitedly.
"Oh yeah yeah it's great especially if I was informed me being cheer captain and all." Kim said at the squad.
"Well Bonnie said it was okay for us to start without you." Liz said.
"Really K you can thank me later when we win the reigonals." Bonnie said. "And this is what giving one hundred and ten percent is like shocking isn't it!"
Bonnie and the girls left the room practically cheering Athenas name as they went by Kim, who was just left with the same blank expression on her face. She couldn't believe this.
Soon she opened her locker, tossed her bag into it and growled in frustration. "Shocking isn't it GRRR!"
At that precise moment Monique arrived to see Kim wasn't in the best of moods. "Oh boy I know that look, Bonnie playing you again?" She asked.
"If your referring to her eel quotes all day then sure it's not bothering me at all." Kim said trying to be calm.
"O..kay, so what don't let what's on TV get to you, but I'm guessing it's not just the eel thing thats jelling you." Monique said.
"Huh?" Kim said confused.
"Your jelling about Athena's sudden streak of popularity." Monique guessed.
"D.B.S, don't be silly, I'm happy for her I'm glad she made the squad." Kim said in denial.
"Oh no Kim your M.I.D. majorly in denial, it's just like Ron and Felix all over again, it's okay to feel a little jealous." Monique tried.
"I'm not jealous!" Kim denied.
Meanwhile Gogo, Honey Lemon, Fred and Wasabi arrived at the school wearing their ID badges, and went looking for Kim. They could see people playing with staffs on the school grounds.
Wasabi narrowly avoided being hit by another staff that was swung by a female student. "Hey careful with that someone could lose an eye!"
"Sorry." Said the student and the group walked through the hallway and the whole time they walked by they heard people talking about Athena and her skills on her first mission against Shego.
"Man sounds like Athena's become an over night celebrity." Wasabi noticed.
"Well good for her, it's good to see she's gaining new confidence." Honey said.
However Gogo seemed more concerned at people talking about Big Hero 6. Then it got worse when they saw a couple of students watching a news cast from a certain reporter they knew.
"Bluff Dunder with a special news report,are our hometown super heroes Big Hero 6 going global?!" Bluff asked to the audience. "Well this footage of them fighting in a top secret lab with a rather distressed Kim Possible looks like something out of a comic crossover turned sour! Do we truly know our heroes at all!"
"Oh man it's reached the home network." Wasabi said sadly. "Next it'll reach global media and next they'll be people pointing the fingers at us!"
"Wasabi calm down, no one knows it's us." Gogo said.
"Yet the word your looking for is yet!" Wasabi said.
Just then they saw a certain rival of Kims walking down the hallway talking to Athena and the rest of the cheer squad. "We're so gonna rock the regionals. With you Athena." Terra said and in that moment Athena noticed, Gogo, Fred, Wasabi and Honey Lemon.
"Oh hey guys!" Athena greeted.
"Hey looks like your popular." Wasabi noticed.
"Yeah way to rock the popularity swing Athena." Fred said then Mini Max appeared on his shoulder.
"Yes truly you have risen from the ashes into a graceful Phoenix of heroism!" Mini Max said.
"Aw thanks Mini Max." She cheer squad couldn't help but eye the smaller Baymax rather weirdly but some of the girls had rather gushing eyes.
"Oh and guess what I made the cheer squad!" Athena then said excitedly.
"Oh Athena congratulations! Did Kim get you in!?" Honey Lemon gripped her hands excitedly.
"Actually it was Bonnie's idea." Athena said much to Wasabi's surprise and Honey's however was less convinced by this sudden kind act.
"Wow, thats so nice of you Bonnie, you really are nice on the inside." Honey said smiling.
"Just looking out for the interests of the squad, now if you excuse us." Bonnie said as she Athena and the rest of the cheer squad left the San Fransokyoites in the hallway.
Suddenly out of nowhere Gogo grabbed Bonnie by the arm and dragged her back to look at her squarely in the eye.
"Hey whats the…" "Okay cut the nice act, whats really your game?" Gogo interrupted her in an interrogating way.
"Game, really I don't know what your talking about?" Bonnie said innocently.
"Please I know your taking advantage of Athena's popularity, just so you can show Kim up.' Gogo accused.
"Oh I see, well in case you haven't noticed Goboy. Not everything is about her, and who am I to deny this girl the social order of things." Bonnie then said in a smirking way.
Wasabi and Honey were extremely worried, since this queen bee was close to awakening the beast that is Gogo's bad side. Fred and Mini Max however, just watched with interest.
"Okay first off the names Gogo and second, your idea of social order is showing everyone that your better than Kim, when in actual fact you aren't." Gogo said trying to keep her cool.
"Yet I'm the one who got her new BFF onto the cheer squad, when she's never given one hundred percent commitment to the squad, I on the other hand have." Bonnie challenged. "And remind me what is it you do other than act like some wannabe tough girl."
Bonnie just giggled then flicked her hair in Gogo's face which for her was the last straw. As she saw the queen bee walk away she followed with a seriously ticked off expression. Until Wasabi and Honey stopped her.
"Hey hey leave it Gogo keep your cool!" Wasabi tried.
"Yeah Gogo don't lower yourself to her level, just find your happy place and take deep breaths." Honey said in a calm soothing way as she breathed in an out in one of her mantras.
Gogo eventually took a deep breath and got out of the neat freaks restraints. Then she walked away from it, but just when they thought she was over it. CRASH! Gogo just punched a locker so hard it left an impressionable dent.
"I'm cool lets go." Gogo said as she continued down the hallway leaving the rest of the group shocked and a little sacred with shrunk pupils.
"Uh she's not calm." Fred said a little scared. Then the group followed her whilst keeping a bit of a distance.
Soon they were close to where Kim was talking to Monique and they couldn't help but eves-drop.
"Well what about Gogo and the others, have you talked to them? Sounds like they're having trouble with their hero publicity." Monique asked Kim.
"No, and right now, I'm not sure if I should right now." Kim said breathing some frustration.
Gogo and the others continued to listen to what their friend is saying about them.
"But they're your friends too aren't they?" Monique then questioned.
"Yeah friends that have no clue how things here in Middleton work! This isn't San Fransokyo and they act like they are!" Kim vented in frustration to her friend whilst her other friends listened and not liking it. "Now I'm stuck playing damage control for them both here and on missions!"
"Come on girl your frustrated this isn't their fault, your just having a bad day." Monique tried.
"I know but it's like ever since they got here, it's like I've been off my game!" Kim finally said.
With that last statement Honey Lemon let out a rather loud shocking gasp. Kim heard it and looked round the corner and saw her friends from San Fransokyo looking at her with rather hurt looks then they turned around and just walked away without saying a word.
Kim was shocked, she realised they were listening the whole time. She quickly ran after them only to see them leaving the school.
"Guys wait hold on…I.." Kim tried but…
"Oh I'm sorry Kim, we wouldn't want to throw you off your game." Gogo said rather harshly.
"Yeah come on guys lets go we wouldn't want to cramp her style, since its obvious our San Fransokyo Vibe ain't wanted here." Fred said a little hurt too. Kim couldn't believe what she was hearing from them, and after all she's done for them.
"We, were just wanting to try and help and after all we've been through your blaming us, not our fault you seem off your game!" Gogo then said.
"Well I didn't need your help, and I don't want your help, this is why I don't call you on missions after we stopped Obake!" Kim exclaimed but then realised what she just said, her friends looked at her in disbelief.
"Guys..I…I didn't mean…." Kim tried but.
"We just…can't be around you right now, not until you figure yourself out." Honey Lemon said a little saddened as they then left the school grounds.
"Mini Maximum disappointment." Mini Max said with his back turned.
"Sorry Kim." Wasabi said as they left without another word. "I guess you forgot what it means to be a friend."
Kim was just left utterly speechless, she had just taken her frustration out on her teammates and friends. Though she didn't mean it the damage was done. She turned to see Monique who had just witnessed the whole incident.
"Whoa, Kim that…that was a little cold." Monique said as she left her to think on things.
Kim just pinched the bridge of her nose and looked down frustrated. "Smooth move Possible, smooth move."
The rest of her day just got worse, Athena was entered into the running for student of the year even in the school paper. Kim could see she was starting to get better than her at everything. Still she knew Ron would understand.
Later at Bueno Nacho:
However when she went to Bueno Nacho, she couldn't be more wrong. When she arrived she saw Ron at their normal booth, but he was having a laugh fest with Athena who told him a funny story.
"What!" Ron said laughing as was Rufus surprisingly.
"I know right." Athena laughed also.
"Athena thats the funniest thing I've ever heard!" Ron laughed not even seeing that Kim was standing in the doorway and leaving.
Later at Middleton Mall, she went to try and talk to Monique, but not to her surprise Athena was there talking to her about fashion.
"Girl those pants would so look good on you!" Monique complimented.
"You really think so?" Athena said.
"Oh I know so." Monique said not even seeing Kim.
She just couldn't believe it. Its like suddenly Athena started taking over everything she's usually good at, cheerleading, being the best student, her time with Ron and now her fashion talks with Monique. Eventually she decided she needed to do something about this. So she left the Mall without a word.
Middleton Space Centre Robotics Lab:
Meanwhile Hiro was in Dr Porters robotics lab, he was hooking up a connector to Baymax's access port which lead to his laptop. Since the mission to stop Shego, Baymax's scanner suddenly glitched when he scanned Athena for injuries. So he needed to find out what the problem was.
"Okay pal lets see whats happened to your scanner." Hiro said as he typed a few keys on the keyboard, activating the diagnostic scan. It started running but it was a slow process.
"Oh man I forgot this would take a while." Hiro groaned but knew to be patient unless he wanted a repeat of what happened when he didn't run a diagnostic when he rebuilt him.
Suddenly he heard a loud clanging sound. He turned to the lab entrance and saw Vivian was pulling something in on a cart. She was struggling with the weight.
"Vivian!" Hiro called getting her attention. "Need a hand?"
"If you could spare one." Vivian said with effort. Hiro hurried over and helped her pull the heavy cart into the lab. It was now much easier.
They let go of the cart and pulled in the heavy item, which looked like a pair of rocket boosters attached to a harness. With it was an old piece of exo armour. Hiro was instantly intrigued.
"Whew thanks Hiro." Vivian thanked.
"So what is this anyway?" Hiro then asked looking at the boosters.
"Oh this, it's just an old project of Dr. Renton's" Vivian explained.
"Renton, isn't she an expert in advanced Cyber Robotics?" Hiro asked having heard that name before.
"Yep, this was an old cyber robotics project to create an exo armour that could save the need for conventional space rockets." Vivian explained. "But the project hit a few bumps. In the tests the dummies couldn't handle the kind of G-forces in the suit not to mention the icing problem. So sadly she had to scrap the project."
Hiro could see the problems caused by this project. He took a close look at the boosters and had a few ideas.
"Yeah that ice is a problem, but maybe the suit could be reinforced with an alloy that could withstand that, and maybe to handle the G- Forces an adjustment to the power outage of the boosters." Hiro theorised.
"Yeah but too late for that now, so she thought maybe I could reuse the parts in my Jupiter project." Vivian explained. "But anyway what are you up to Hiro, you're in early?"
Hiro then turned his attention to Baymax. "Oh right well uh, I needed to take a look at Baymax, his scanner was a little faulty." Just then he heard the computer sound off.
"Diagnostic complete" Said the computer.
He and Vivian went over to the computer and when Hiro looked at the results he was completely bewildered. "What? This can't be right." Hiro said in surprise then turned to Baymax. "Baymax, scan me."
Baymax complied and ran a scan on Hiro, he then stopped to deliver his diagnosis. "You are in perfect health. However, your Acetylcholine levels indicate you are confused."
"Thats because I am." Hiro said then looking at the data. "According to the diagnostic your scanner seems to be working fine. But… why would it malfunction when you tried to scan Athena?"
Baymax just blinked in response and tilted his head. Vivian then took a closer look at the data. "Well maybe you need to take a look at his scanning data." She suggested.
Hiro just slapped himself on the head realising that was something he hadn't considered. With that he accessed the files in Baymax's scanning database and found the file that collated with the day of Possible Hero 6's mission to the Institute for Nerodynamic Studies. He opened the file and then looked at two sets of data one of Kim and Ron and another on Athena.
"Ah here we go." Hiro said, "Man why didn't I think of this sooner?"
"Well thats what happens when you use your big brain to work your way round a problem and…."
"Look for a new angle." The two said at the exact same time. It was then Hiro realised where he had heard that saying before.
"You know, the last time I heard that saying was from…my brother." Hiro realised. "You..you knew him didn't you." He guessed.
Doctor Porter gave a sigh and a smile knowing she'd been found out, now it was time to tell him the truth. "Well…I guess you would figure it out sooner or later." She said. "Yes I knew your brother Hiro."
Hiro was completely taken aback, the person who took him on as her shadow, also knew her brother? What were the chances of that!?
"O..Okay I'm overloaded with questions right now!" Hiro said. "How did you know Tadashi?"
Vivian smiled as she sat down at a chair to tell her story. "Because I actually used to live in San Fransokyo, we met during our junior year."
Many years ago: San Fransokyo high school:
A younger looking Vivian Francis Porter was walking down the hallway of the school, and she was attracting a lot of attention from the boys.
"See back in High School I was the centre of attention to a lot of the boys, but I wasn't interested in anyone." Vivian said.
Soon she was in class and was taking a test that she had to study for. However after submitting the test the following day she received a grade D-.
"And well my grades weren't exactly good, thats when my teacher Professor Aquino decided to assign me a tutor." Vivian explained.
"Oh yeah I remember him, he was the toughest teacher I ever had in class, when I was in high school." Hiro remembered.
"Yeah, anyway the student he assigned to teach me…."
Young Vivian was then directed to the student who would be her personal tutor, and it was a young man with short black hair brown eyes, a short red sleeved shirt, green pants and a cap with the logo of San Fransokyo on it.
"…was Tadashi." She said.
The tutor Professor Aquino introduced Vivian to a young Tadashi, and he looked with a smile on his face. In young Vivians eyes she didn't think he could be a science nerd.
"And we started meeting up after school, but lets just say our tutoring didn't get off to a good start." At the Lucky Cat Cafe. Young Vivian was a little distracted while Tadashi was showing her a book on robotics, but he saw she was looking out the window out of boredom.
"I mean I wasn't sure at the time about how I could possibly be smart, but despite everything your brother didn't give up on me."
As the days went by Tadashi continued to tutor Vivian, and over time she began to take an interest in the subject. She even tried a few of the robotics techniques in her spare time.
"I wasn't sure at first but after trying to build my first robot I realised I had a knack for it." Vivian explained. "So I decided to test myself at the upcoming science fair."
Some weeks later was the science fair and many students had their experiments on show, like the classic cardboard volcano. Even a few velocity experiments too. Vivians experiment was a small robot that served as an assistant. She showcased it to her fellow students.
"But it was then I discovered that people couldn't accept someone like me as a robotics genius." Vivian explained.
Students just laughed and pointed mockery at young Vivian, some even called her a fake. "People called me a fake and some even said I used my good looks to bribe a nerd to do the work for me, and because of that I got disqualified from the fair."
Later Vivian was in tears with her mascara running from her eyes next to her robot and project. "I was just about ready to give up and accept I couldn't be a smart girl but just someone who could get by because she's pretty."
She was about to throw the robot into the trash until someone stopped her. She turned her tear filled eyes round and saw Tadashi was stopping her.
"But Tadashi wasn't ready to give up on me yet, he believed in me, he told me I could do it and to never give up." Vivian explained. "He taught me I shouldn't let my looks define who I am but whats in my heart."
After the two talked to each other over the incident Tadashi was able to convince Vivian to not give up on something she's good at. Vivian still looked unsure but somehow the young mans words, reached her in someway. and so they left the school that day.
"Later he took me to an open house held at SFIT that very day." Tadashi took Vivian to an open house held at SFIT, for the rest of the afternoon the two of them looked at the exhibits and young Vivian was instantly taken in by all the experiments and the inventions on show. In a way she was inspired.
"So I didn't give up, since that day I threw myself into my robotics studies with him, and we became good friends." Vivian explained. "My grades went up and even my harshest teacher began to see my potential as a robotics expert. And it was all because of Tadashi."
Present day:
"Yeah he has that affect on people." Hiro said.
"You said it, over time we realised we made one heck of a team." Vivian admitted.
"As science partners?" Hiro wondered, however Vivian gave a knowing smile and her eyes showed they was something more.
Suddenly it hit Hiro in the face like a car slamming into a wall of reality. "No way! As his girlfriend!"
Vivian did blush a little at that statement before explaining further. "Yeah when we reached our senior year we actually started dating. And on our first day back, he actually introduced me to someone I really didn't expect."
Hiro suddenly had a flashback to his very first day of high school when he was nine years old.
SF High: Many years ago:
In the hallways a nine year old Hiro was a little nervous of starting high school a little early. He walked down the hall with his older brother Tadashi who was now in his senior year and looked a little older.
"Tadashi I don't know about this." Young Hiro said.
"Hey don't worry little bro you'll be fine, the first day is always a little daunting." Tadashi told him.
"Tadashi!" Called a voice and he looked up and saw someone that made him smile, it was an older Vivian.
"Hey you." Tadashi greeted as Vivian gave a peck on the cheek. Just then Vivian noticed the young man with him.
"Oh this must be Hiro." Vivian greeted. Hiro was a little shy hiding behind his brother.
"Hey don't worry Hiro, it's okay this is Vivian." Tadashi assured. Hiro looked up at the beautiful young girl.
"So is he here for a visit?" Vivian asked.
"Actually he's now a student here, because it turns out my younger brother her is a secret super genius." Tadashi explained.
"Wow, well if he's like you Tadashi I'm sure he'll be smarter too." Vivian teased.
Present day:
Hiro couldn't believe it, though he never thought about it much, he had all but forgotten the girl his older brother introduced him to on his very first day of High School.
"So that girl I met on my first day, that was you!" Hiro realised. "Man I can't believe I didn't recognise you."
"Memories of past infant events. Can often fade away into obscurity as one ages into maturity." Baymax noted.
"Yeah, and to be honest Hiro, you changed a lot since the last time I saw you." Vivian admitted. "Anyway after we graduated Tadashi went on to study at SFIT, whilst I went to a college overseas. We tried to make long distance work but, in the end it never really worked out between us."
"Oh I'm sorry to hear that." Hiro said in sympathy.
"Its okay, we still kept in touch and we were better off as good friends." Vivian then smiled again. "He told me a lot about what he was doing at SFIT even some of the friends he made."
"Wait does that also mean he told you about…" "Yeah he told me a lot about his little healthcare project." Vivian answer Hiro's question.
However her mood then turned a little saddened. "But…I never got the chance to see it myself, because I learned on the news that, he died in a fire at the SFIT showcase."
Hiro was a little saddened by that memory too. In the back of his mind the image of his brother going into that blazing inferno to save Professor Calagahan. Only for the building to explode with him inside claiming his life in the process. It was still a bad memory he preferred not to talk about. Baymax lowered his head in silence remembering his creator. There was a moment of silence in the room until Vivian broke it.
"I was heart broken, knowing the one who made me who I was, who believed in me never got to see me become who I am now." Vivian said.
"I know how that feels, I mean when he died I…I didn't think I could move forward." Hiro explained. "But I remembered how he dreamed of wanting to help people and the hard work he put into building Baymax, I realised I couldn't give up, and my friends believed in me too. In a way it's like Tadashi is still with us."
"Yeah it is isn't it." Vivian said.
"So, is that why you wanted me to be your shadow? Because of Tadashi?" Hiro then wondered.
"No." She said standing up and holding Hiro's shoulder. "It was because I wanted to meet the brother he always told me about in his letters, and he was right you have a lot of talent Hiro, in a way you do remind me of him."
Hiro gave a warm smile at that statement knowing that someone else that Tadashi inspired to be so much more, still allowed his memory to inspire her. Just then, Vivian noticed something in Hiro's backpack a certain small robot with a yellow smily face.
"Hey whats this." She said walking over and pulling it out of his backpack. Hiro was feeling a little nervous about this particular topic.
"Oh that uh well, thats just uh an old robot I made a while back." Hiro explained nervously.
"Hmm.. let me guess for bot fighting?" Vivian instantly guessed. Hiro went blank in the face.
"Y..You know about Bot Fighting?" Hiro asked.
"Yeah not exactly the kind of crowd I like to associate with, but I'm guessing you did right?" Vivian guessed.
"Oh Tadashi told you didn't he." Hiro realised.
"Yep, you do know those fights are illegal right?" Vivian said to him.
"Hey betting on them is illegal, besides after graduating high school a kid genius needs a hobby." Hiro explained. "But Tadashi talked me out of it and got me into SFIT never been to one since."
Hiro knew that wasn't true considering he was nearly drawn back into the sport. By a certain bot fighter who was later revealed to be a robot, who was created by Obake.
Vivian took a close look at the small robots design and noticed something very familiar about it. "These parts look a little like your Microbots."
"Well funnily enough it was this very idea that lead to the creation of my Microbots." Hiro explained.
The robotics authority could see how the idea was born and could see her protege was a fierce competitor in bot fighting. The idea then happened upon her, she decided to show Hiro something that could give him a new experience.
"Hey tell you what Hiro." She then pulled out a pen and paper and began to write something down. Hiro was a little confused.
"After work when you've caught up with your friends, meet me at this address at seven o'clock and bring that robot of yours with you." Vivian handed the young genius a slip of paper that contained an address on it.
"Why what is it?" Hiro asked.
"Lets just say it's something I think your gonna like." Vivian explained with a smile. "Now I'm gonna head down and grab some lunch from the cafeteria, wanna come?"
"Uh thanks but I need to finish looking over Baymax but I'll join you later." Hiro declined.
"Okay but don't strain yourself even super geniuses need some food." Vivian said as she left the lab leaving a completely bewildered Hiro alone with his healthcare robot.
He went ahead and clicked on the scanning file of Athena but when he attempted to do so, a sign popped up saying. "Data Corrupted." Much to his surprise.
"What?" Hiro breathed. "I don't get it, if the scanner is fine why is this data corrupt?" He tried to think of every possible reason how this could happen. Then he remembered, look for a new angle.
"Wait, oh I hope I have them with me." Hiro said and he reached into his backpack looking for something then he pulled out off his bag a small glasses opened it to reveal a certain pair of glasses that Wade made for him. He was glad he did bring them with him. He placed them on his face.
"Vismax." Hiro said and instantly the glasses activated and an AI came to life with its triangular eyes.
"Hello, Hiro I am Vismax your virtual companion, how may I be of assistance?" Vismax asked on her hud.
"Hey Vismax, listen I need you to take a look at this file in Baymax's scanning database." Hiro instructed and looked at the the hud screen Vismax began to access the computer and show it in front of Hiro's very eyes, quite literally.
"The data file is present however the data is corrupted." Vismax explained.
"Yeah I know, but theres something off if the datas corrupt, it shouldn't be in Baymax's database it should have been erased to avoid data crashing." Hiro said.
"You are correct Hiro." Vismax said getting his attention. "The file and its data have been altered to appear as a corrupt file. Possible cause, the use of a micro jamming transmitter."
Now the young super genius was more confused than before, how could this have happened. It dawned on him that the lab they went to was a Nero-genetics lab and there was no such equipment present.
"Wait so does that mean we can still read the file?" Hiro asked.
"Yes I am equipped with the ability to decrypt and recover data from servers." Vismax explained.
"Okay do it." Hiro said.
"Alright." Vismax said and she downloaded the data and began decoding it as Hiro removed the glasses, placed them in his backpack and unplugged Baymax from the computer.
"Come on Baymax lets get to the cafeteria." Hiro suggested.
"Alright Hiro." Baymax said as he followed Hiro out of the lab heading off for their lunch.
Meanwhile Middleton cafe:
Gogo, Fred, Wasabi and Honey Lemon were at a table in the local cafe having a latte, whilst Fred just had a milkshake. However the mood was rather grim. Kim their good friend was blaming them for her being off her game, even after all they've been through. However they too had some guilt realising maybe she was right.
Mini Max hopped onto the table looking at the rather despondent mood. "You all appear to be very saddened, don't let those saddened frowns discourage you!"
"I still don't see why we couldn't go to Bueno Nacho?" Fred wondered.
"Probably because we didn't want to run into Kim, given she thinks we're to blame for her bad day." Gogo said.
"Yeah but if you think about it, we haven't been helping much." Wasabi sighed. "Maybe Shego was right, ever since we stepped outside San Fransokyo we're off our game and now we're in this mess!"
He gestured to a news cast still discussing Big Hero 6 operating outside of their city, and even about why they were here to begin with. "Lets face it guys, back home we got it but here, we lose our spark." Wasabi said.
"Oh come on man since when do we let villains like Shego talk us down!"Fred disagreed.
"Since Kim pretty much said it to our faces." Gogo said a little grumpy.
"I mean sure when Honey Lemon messed up during the whole Globby thing she felt glum but we recovered from that, we'll bounce back." Fred said.
"I don't know Fred, I have a feeling Kim won't want to see us after this." Honey Lemon said whilst she was doing a random sketch in her book. "She's right this isn't San Fransokyo and we don't fit in."
"And since when does fitting in matter?" Said a voice and they turned and saw Monique in the cafe coming to their table.
"Oh hey Monique." Wasabi greeted.
"How'd you find us?" Gogo asked.
"Well since you weren't at the usual places Kim and Ron would hang out, I figured this was the last place I hadn't checked." Monique said.
"Very smart of you to determine our whereabouts." Mini Max said. Monique looked a little wired out by the small robot, then gushed up.
"Ohh who's this little guy." she said in awe.
"Monique meet Mini Max, Mini Max, meet Monique" Fred introduced.
"Greetings fellow friend I am Mini Max." He said righteously.
"Cute." She said then drawing her attention back to the group. "Look guys, I came to find you just to talk."
"If Kim sent you here to say sorry she can forget it." Gogo said.
"Kim didn't send me, and look she's going through a tough time right now. Give her time to cool off and she'll come around." Monique explained.
"Still it doesn't give her the right to take it out on us." Gogo complained.
"Okay fair point, but you're her friends you can't stay mad forever." Monique said. "I mean sure she and Ron had a few way tense moments but they always kiss and made up."
"I know thats what I've been telling them!" Honey Lemon said feeling a little cheered up. "Until Kim snapped at us."
"See Honey Lemon gets it." Just then Monique noticed the sketchbook that she had in her possession and she noticed some of the drawings.
"Hey those look good Honey, I didn't know you were an artist." Monique admired.
"Oh this it was really a secret hobby of mine, see I don't just attend SFIT I also attend San Fransokyo Art institute or SFAI for short." Honey explained. "I kept it a secret because well, both schools have a small rivalry."
"Oh rival school war right?" Monique guessed.
"Yeah but after my friends found out they all but accepted it, besides it was just during rivalry week." Honey said.
"Yeah unless you count doing it at weird time." Gogo said remembering the time that Honey Lemon was doing paintings whilst Gogo was in the shower back home. And sometimes during her free time skating.
Monique then noticed the jacket that Gogo was wearing something no-one noticed yet. "Hey is that a new jacket Gogo?" She asked.
All eyes were now on Gogo, and she knew they noticed that it was a different black jacket. Then Honey Lemon realised.
"Hold on isn't that the same jacket you were looking at when we were at Club Banana?" Honey asked.
"Uh no it isn't." Gogo said.
Monique walked over and took a closer look. "Oh its it alright." She said living up the bottom of the jacket revealing the logo.
Everyone looked rather surprised at the speed girl, in all the time they knew her, they've never seen her once wear a designer jacket from a big brand name.
"What I liked the look of it so what." Gogo denied.
Monique just shook her head knowingly, then she eyed one of the sketches in Honey Lemons sketchbook. She took a closer look and saw it looked a lot like Kim.
"Hey is this supposed to be Kim?" Monique asked.
"Yeah, it was something I worked up after our first team up with her." Honey explained. However Monique was more interested in the attire the drawn figure was wearing.
"Wow those clothes look styling the colours and the style that totally speak to me." Monique admired then she had an idea.
"Say Honey, how'd you like to help me with something?" She asked.
"How'd you mean?" Honey asked.
"Well I'm not just the fashion guru, I'm also a designer and fabricator, and this might just be the key to get Kim out of her funk." she explained.
Honey Lemon took a moment to think, and she realised if this could help her friend maybe it wouldn't be such a bad idea. Also Monique complimented her work and wanted to turn these designs into a reality.
"Okay I'm in!" Honey said as Monique squealed.
"Lets roll girl!" Monique said as the two hurried out of the cafe. Leaving the rest of the group completely in surprise.
Just then Gogo noticed how Fred wasn't even touching his Milkshake and the whole time didn't even speak the Monique was here. "Hey whats up with you, I've never seen you this quiet?" Gogo asked.
"Yeah she's right, whats up man?" Wasabi asked.
"Well somethings been bugging me." Fred finally said turning to them."What do you guys think of Athena?"
The two of them were surprised to hear the comic book fanatic ask them this question. Especially about their new friend Athena of all people.
"What do you mean?" Wasabi asked.
"I mean does something seem wired to you about her?" Fred then explained.
"Oh boy I've seen this look before, I know the answer but I'll ask anyway, whats strange?" Gogo said going along with this new conspiracy theory.
"Well during her first mission, it's like she was completely on top of things." Fred explained. "But when we first met her she looked hopeless like she couldn't do anything."
"So it was her first day at school we were all like that once." Wasabi pointed out.
"Yeah but then almost over night she's become this completely new person acting and thinking like Kim." Fred said.
"She's her biggest fan Fred what do you expect, just ask Mole, you know the time you blabbed that were were Big Hero…" Wasabi then quickly covered up her mouth.
"GOGO!" He said through his teeth, "Not where there's loads of people!" Gogo just pushed him off her.
"Not the point the point is no-one can get that good over night, theres just no way, even I know that!" Fred said.
"Maybe she's just a fast learner?" Wasabi guessed.
"No one is that fast at learning, how to be as good as someone like Kim Possible." Fred said rather suspiciously. "I'm telling you theres something about Athena, something suspicious."
Gogo just had a rather not surprised look. "Fred, I only have one thing to say to that, you've been reading wa…y too many comic books."
Fred just pouted at that remark then suddenly he had a text on his phone which he read. It was from Ron. "Oh sorry dudes gotta go, meeting Ron and his bud Felix to play some Zombie Mayhem. It's gonna rock!"
With that Mini Max hopped onto Fred's back and headed out of the cafe to meet up with his friend. Leaving Gogo and Wasabi alone. But despite what they thought of Fred's little conspiracy theory, it couldn't help but not linger in their minds.
Later that night:
As night fell over Middleton, Hiro and Baymax arrived at a lone lamp post that lit the street. They were following the address that Dr Vivian Francis Porter had given to him.
"You sure this is the place Baymax?" Hiro asked.
Baymax brought up a map of the street collating with the directions and address on the sheet of paper. "Yes. We are in the correct area according to the address."
Hiro wasn't quite sure about this, for some reason this reminded him a little of Good luck alley. Just then. "Hiro." Called a voice, he turned round and saw Vivian standing behind him without her lab coat but in her normal causal wear.
"Glad you could make it." Vivian smiled.
"Yeah if I knew what here is?" Hiro asked.
"Oh don't worry, all your questions will be answered soon." Vivian said as she then opened a panel on the lamp post revealing a small keyboard and typed in a code.
Just then out of the street came a lift much to Hiro and Baymax's surprise. Vivian gestured them to step onto the lift with her which they did and the lift took them down into the deep underground of the city.
Hiro was getting a bit of a worrying vibe from this place. Soon the lift brought them to an underground tunnel where a motorised cart was waiting for them.
"Whoa." Hiro breathed in surprise. He, Baymax and Vivian boarded the cart and she pushed the controls to move the cart along the tracks.
Eventually the young genius could take the suspense no longer. "Okay Vivian, I have to ask where exactly are you taking us?"
"Well, I guess I can't keep it a secret I figured you needed something to take your mind off things like that data thing with Baymax." Vivian explained. "So I'm taking you to the Robot Rumble."
"Robot Rumble?" Hiro asked, then he remembered where he heard that name before. "Wait I think Ron told me about this, didn't your robot boyfriend found this rumble?"
"Thats right, but since everyone found out he was a robot and I was the one behind the rumble. I still keep it running." Vivian explained.
They soon arrived at the main entrance to the club which was protected by a laser scanner. Vivian, Hiro and Baymax disembarked from the cart and Vivian approached the scanner.
"Member identification." The voice said.
"V.F Porter. Founder." Vivian confirmed.
"Identification confirmed." The voice said and then the door opened to reveal a tunnel leading into the ring which the group walked down.
"But I'm done with bot fighting?" Hiro questioned.
"Oh don't worry Hiro, the Rumble isn't like the Bot fights you're used to. No back alley shady stuff, completely legit and no illegality, whats so ever." Vivian assured. "Just fellow robot enthusiasts gathering to watch robots battle."
Soon the group heard the sounds of cheering and the clashing of metal. Hiro saw a crowed surrounding a small arena in the ground. In the arena were a couple of robots wheeled robots. One had a buzzsaw attached to its arm and the other, had a large looking spiked hammer. Some of the spectators included Ned from Bueno Nacho.
Baymax blinked as they watched the match. "I have some concerns."
"Whoa!" Hiro breathed in amazement. "But why are we here?"
Vivian turned to her young protege with a smile. "Isn't it obvious, you need to loosen up a little so we're gonna do what I do to relax, and thats rumble!"
Hiro had to admit, he was all but interested in this club, and he didn't have to worry about being busted by the cops. If this was legit he could just enjoy himself.
"So what do you say?" Vivian asked.
"I say….deal me in!" Hiro said smirking.
Soon Hiro's robot Mega bot was in the ring, facing off against a robot with pincer claws and on tracks. Its player stood across from the stadium whilst Hiro was on the other side with his controller. The audience just laughed when they saw the size of the robot brought by the newcomer.
The two stared each other down as they waited for the signal. Then the light in the stadium turned green.
"Begin." Said a computer voice.
Hiros opponent attacked first the robot surged forwards slashing its claws towards the small robot. But Hiro kept a calm composure and moved his controller. Mega bot swerved out of the way in a quick motion avoiding the attack.
The opposing robot sped towards Mega bot with great speed. However Mega bot didn't move out of the way, Vivian was all but confused what was Hiro thinking why doesn't he move his bot. Hiro however knew what he was doing.
His opponents robots smashed it's claw down seemingly crushing its opponent. Vivian gasped, and it would seem Hiro's opponent was victorious. However all wasn't as it seems everyone saw that Mega Bot wasn't there. Then suddenly the robot felt a tap on its shoulder and when it looked there was mega bot with its yellow smiling face.
This was what Hiro was waiting for. "Mega bot…" Hiro's controller extended out. "Destroy!"

The bots faced turned from yellow to red, surprising the audience to say the least. Suddenly it took a combat stance and its two antenna and arms began spinning round and robot slashed its claws but Mega bot just separated into its three component parts and sped down the robots body to then reassemble.
Hiro just moved his controls like it was nothing. Mega bot constantly avoided his opponents attacks and the player was getting more and more frustrated and the crowds began cheering like mad.
Mega bot then sped towards a wall at high speed, ran up it and soared into the air. Everyone gasped as the small robots legs arms and head and zoomed to the ground like a tornado. The drill strike hit the robot in the chest and punched a hole right through its core for it to then land on the other side.
The opponents robot just powered down and collapsed to the ground in defeat. Megabots face turned from red back to yellow and gave a bow in victory.

Everyone went silent, but then a rousing applause from the enthusiasts watching. The opponent player just gasped in complete shock, he was beaten by a shrimp.
Mega bot then leaped up and landed in front of Hiro who just smiled humbly. "Never mess with a veteran bot fighter." Hiro said.
"That guys amazing!" One person exclaimed.
"Yeah that robot is clearly designed to out monomer its opponent." Said another.
Vivian then approached the victor of the match. "I gotta say Hiro I'm impressed, your robot uses magnets and is able to disband into smaller pieces to beat your opponent." She complimented. "Showing size isn't everything, not bad for a former Bot Fighter."
"Thanks Vivian, this was actually fun and less daunting when I'm not threatened by shady goons." Hiro said humbly. "And I will admit, the adrenaline rush, I have missed that."
"Yes your adrenaline levels were spiking during the match. Indicating you were tense and focused on the. Match." Baymax diagnosed showing a diagram.
"And you know I feel good." Hiro then admitted.
"Yeah it helps me too when I get stuck on things." Vivian said. "So up for another rumble?"
"Bring it on!" Hiro said eagerly. He was having a great time, he wasn't sure his brother would approve but at least this bot fight didn't end in a jail cell.
Possible household:
Meanwhile, at the Possible household all was quiet, the Tweebs were in their room playing video games. Wasabi was in the lounge doing yoga, and Gogo was listening to rock music in the room she shared with Honey Lemon who was still out with Monique.
Ann meanwhile was gathering up washing in the washing basket. As she went past Kims room, she heard the sounds of banging and loud thuds coming from the ceiling. So she went up to her daughters room and found Kim was learning how to use a bo staff.
She twirled it around and around in a combat stance. Kim moved around the room flexing it and making a few thrusts. As she tried an attack move.
"Kimmy?" Called a voice and Kim instantly fumbled and miss placed the staff causing her to fall to the ground.
Ann put the basket down and entered the bedroom to check on her daughter. "Honey are you okay?" She asked.
Kim groaned as she stood back up again. "Yeah I'm good no big."
"I don't know sounds pretty big, why are you trying to use a staff?" Ann asked her daughter she was a little silent whilst she tried using the staff again.
"Is this because of that video of Athena, she was using bo staff?" Ann asked.
"Yeah and she kicked Shego's butt." Kim said as she twirled the staff round and round and thrusted it forwards.
"Buy Kimmy you've done that loads of times without a staff." Ann said a little confused.
"I thought I'd try something new." Kim said.
"Well theres nothing wrong with that?" Ann said only for her daughter to accidentally drop the staff as it was flung into the wall. Kim just groaned in frustration.
"Kimmy come on whats going on with you? Is something wrong?" Ann asked.
The red headed teen finally let out a groaning sigh. "Yes its me, I'm off and I may have taken out my frustration on Gogo and the others."
Ann was rather surprised as Kim sat down on the bed as she explained everything. "I.. I told the guys they had to act a little differently than they would if they were in their hometown."
"Well Kimmy they're your friends aren't they?" Ann asked.
"Yeah they are." Kim answered.
"Then why would you ask them to be different people?" Ann asked. "Theres nothing wrong with them being themselves, you were yourself when we went to San Fransokyo."
Kim could see the point that her mother was trying to make, and she had a point. There were times not too often she wished Ron wasn't so weird all the time as he usually is but she would never once want to change anything about him. It was then she realised the guilt that was hanging over her.
She sighed as her mom sat next to her. "What did I do I… I said some things to them during our fight and…"
"Kimmy it's okay, friends fight all the time but what matters is how you make up in the end." Ann said to her, "I mean you and Ron have had a few fights but you never let that come between your friendship."
Kim was listening very well to her mothers point and once again she was right. However Ann could see there was something else on her daughters mind.
"But I'm guessing it's not just the rough patch with them thats bothering you is it?" Ann guessed.
"No its not." Kim finally admitted.
Downstairs coming through the front door. Hiro and Baymax had just come home from the Robot Rumble, after Vivian offered to drive them home. The young genius still couldn't get over the great time he had at the rumble. He headed upstairs with Baymax and towards the room he was sharing with the Tweebs. As he went past Kims room he heard a conversation between Kim and her mother.
"I feel like I'm off lately." Kim said.
"Why?" Ann asked.
"Because ever since that mission I've suddenly stopped being good at things." Kim explained. "And whats worse Athena had one good fight and now she's amazing at everything!"
Ann was more confused than she was before, she was upset with Athena? "Well she's your friend right?"
"Yeah." Kim said a little down.
"Well then you should be happy for her, after all you guided her and now she's having a little success. All thanks to you." Ann said trying to perk her up not knowing Hiro was listening.
"So what is it?" Ann asked. Kim was rather quiet and did have some small watery traces in her eyes. She then looked to her mother.
"I..I've never…I've never met someone, who's better than me." Kim admitted and Ann was beginning to see the picture. "and I know how stupid that sounds but it's like, whatever I have that makes me me. She has more of it."
Ann placed a hand on her shoulder as she looked at her daughter who was clearly distraught. "You know jealously is very unbecoming…"
"I'm not jealous mom, I..seriously I'm glad she's finding her way, its more about me." Kim said getting more and more welled up. "I..if I'm not the best at those things then…then who am I?"
"So what?" Said a voice and the two looked to see Hiro and Baymax now standing in the room.
"Hiro?" Kim said in surprise. "How much did you hear?"
"Enough to know what your going through." Hiro then spoke. "Look I get it, I mean look at me I'm a guy who doesn't like to fail, one time when Liv Amara the head of Sygorax came to SFIT to see Baymax, she seemed more interested in Karmi's work than mine."
Kim and Ann listened to his story. "And well with me that just wouldn't wash. I tried and tried to show I was just as smart as she was maybe even more smarter. Then during a little monster incident during Liv's event, my friends reminded me that while Karmi maybe special in ways I'm not, I'm special in ways she's not."
Hiro then sat down on the bed next to Ann. "Point is so what if Athena's good at something you're not, your still good in ways she isn't."
"He's right honey, even if your not the best at, what have you your still you." Ann agreed.
However thats not how Kim saw it she was on the verge of breaking down. "But.. mom I'm Kim Possible! Okay! I'm a star student and I save the world! Thats who I am!" She said practically crying.
Ann saw how much of a toll this was truly taking. Her daughter was having an identity crisis. Hiro however saw differently.
"Says who?" Hiro said getting up. "Who says you have to be the best? Being the best at everything and being perfect? Thats not what makes Kim Possible, Possible. Remember when I thought I was just like Obake, you reminded me that I wasn't! That being smart isn't who I am, it's what I do with it."
Kim listened to what the young genius was saying. " You're having a bad day we all go through bad days! But being the best and saving the world isn't what you are, it's about what you do."
It was now Baymax's turn to speak up. "Tadashi face similar problems in creating me." Everyone now turns to him as he started playing a video log of Tadashi who looked all but beaten with this project.
"Huh… I don't know Baymax. Maybe this isn't going anywhere." Tadashi said. "I mean I see people are already coming up with things that are ten times better than what I'm doing." Everyone present listens carefully to the video log. "If I can't help people then who am I?" Tadashi sighed but then looked straight at the camera. "But I'm not giving up, just because other ways look better shouldn't stop me from doing what I want to do. And thats why I'm not gonna let this weigh me down, now come on let's get back to work."
The video log ended. "Tadashi was never wavering in his objectives. Though he felt he could not succeed others. He never let that. Define his progress. And neither should you." Baymax said.
However despite these words Kim was still in doubt over this whole situation. "Well then... then I don't know who I am." She finally admitted.
Hiro, Ann and Baymax all looked silently startled by what the teen who could do anything had just said. It was in this moment that Kim suddenly broke down in tears like everything in her world was crashing down around her. Baymax came up to her and embraced her in a comforting hug for support, as she just cried into his chest. Hiro and Ann looked at each other with great worry about this whole situation.
And it wasn't just them. For outside the room, Wasabi and Gogo had been listening in on the whole conversation. Their friend was taking what happened on that mission much harder than they first realised. Kim Possible was facing an identity crisis, she didn't know who she was anymore.
Authors Notes: And thats the end of that chapter, Kim is having a full blown identity crisis and she's venting her frustration on her San Fransokyo friends, and suddenly Athena's starting to take over everything she does.
And it turns out Vivian knew Tadashi a long time ago. In the canon series of KP, not much was known about Vivian's past career in her school days, so I had the idea to have her at the same high school as Tadashi even using some inspiration from the Big Hero 6 Manga. (Yes theres a manga about BH6 I looked it up) This seemed like a good idea to have since besides Honey Lemon and the others we didn't know if he had any other colleagues or old friends from his high school days. Something that wasn't brought up in the series.
Also seeing Hiro at the Robot Rumble the less illegal version of Bot Fighting, was just too good to pass up. I decided to have Kim's meltdown included in this story because in the film its a very rare thing we see from the canon series, unless you count So the Drama the movie, and I know some people do have mixed feelings about the live action film. But lets not forget we've all had mixed feelings about things that diverse from the original piece, like the Ben 10 reboot or even Rise of TMNT, yet some aspects start to grow on us and open new possibilities.
Incidentally for those who read the first story, I hope you paid attention to an element that I introduced from the post epilogue, namely Vismax.
