PREVIOUSLY…
Roswaal glared at the man.
"Well if it were thought that one who can't even protect one tiny insignia can't be entrusted with the nation's rule then that would be the end. So, regrettably, yes, it was a good thing you were there."
Suki whistled in surprise.
"That just heightens my expectation for a reward."
Roswaal groaned before taking a deep breath and raising both arms towards Suki.
"Well then ask for anything! You may have anything you want. Merely state your desire!"
Suki guffawed.
"As much as I would LOVE to have you come to my birthday as a clown."
Roswaal's eyes twitched.
"I have another idea in mind.
Roswaal sighed weakly as he stared at him.
"What do you want?"
Suki stepped right in front of Roswaal with a smirk.
"Hire me to work in the Mansion."
PRESENT…
"You know? I hardly find this necessary."
Rem stared at Suki incredulously as he hid inside the closet.
"We cannot have you dressed in those kinds of clothes, it would bring ruin to Master Roswaal's reputation."
Suki gasped as the closet door opened slightly.
"Excuse me? This suit was made by the greatest tailor I have ever known!"
Ram scoffed as she pointed towards his suit. A visible expression of disgust on her face.
"Then that tailor is lying to you."
Suki opened the door glaring at the two maids. He sighed as he stepped out and dusted himself off.
"I am NOT taking this suit off, that's final."
Ram glared at him before sighing.
"There is no use in trying to change your mind then."
Emilia entered the room then giggled as she saw Suki.
"I see that they failed to change your mind then."
Suki stared at her in shock.
"Is it THAT bad?"
Emilia looked up and down at him before giving a nervous grin.
"Wow, it is that bad."
He snapped his fingers and the suit seemed to darken in hue. He smoothed his hair back then pointed finger guns at Emilia.
"How DO I look?"
Emilia giggled.
Suki frowned as he began to leave the room. But he then turned around with a wide grin.
"Well, take care then Miss Emilia."
He sprinted out the door.
"And this is the lavatory."
The door opened to Beatrice vigorously rubbing Puck on her face. Suki grinned, but had a dead expression on his face.
"You know, Ram? I think we ARE in the bathroom."
Suki was immediately thrown out, while Ram had wisely stepped out earlier. The door slammed shut. Suki pounded on the door.
"I'll sue you for assault, ya hear me?! Wait, that doesn't exist here…..damn."
He narrowed his eyes, analyzing the doors before quickly rushing to a door.
"Got 'em."
Beatrice's eyes widened before turning to glare at him.
"You got the right door again?"
She huffed before turning sadly to Puck.
"Bubby, you'll have to go for now, I suppose."
Puck grinned before nodding.
"Okay then, don't do anything I wouldn't do, Beatrice."
Puck disappeared in a small flash. Beatrice turned to Suki seriously.
"Suki, we need to talk."
Suki nodded before turning to face Ram.
"Sure. Hey Ram, let's put a rain che— and she's gone."
The door closed as Suki sat in front of Beatrice.
"So, what did you do?"
Suki chuckled nervously.
"Listen, if you've heard of a guy in a suit ACCIDENTALLY murdering an entire village, they're lying."
Beatrice seemed to pause at that momentarily before coughing while waving it off dismissively.
"I will most definitely ask you about that later on, for now I simply want to take a look at it."
Suki chuckled as he unbuttoned his suit jacket. He laid it down before proceeding to unbutton his polo. Scars were littered all across his body, crossing through his back, his arms and his chest. Beatrice stood behind him, her hands raised and glowing.
She concentrated for a few seconds before sighing and sitting back down. The door opened slightly, but not enough for Beatrice or Suki to notice.
"It is still in a detestable state, as expected."
Suki chuckled as he put his suit back on.
"There's no use trying to fix it. My gate's about as wrecked as the economical state of America during the 1930s."
Beatrice stared at him confused.
"The what of where?"
Suki grinned as he stood up.
"Point is, there's no use fixing it."
Beatrice scoffed before drinking a cup.
"So, tell me. What is the real reason you've come back here?"
Suki shrugged as he walked around aimlessly.
"Should there be? I was bored."
Beatrice seemed to ponder this before scowling at him.
"You truly are a confounding man, Suki."
She waved her hand at him. Suki was quickly thrown out of the Great Library. The door immediately shut. Suki rushed up and banged his fist on the door.
"Hey! You could've at least warned me!"
He huffed irritably before looking in the direction where Ram had gone.
"Well, I've got to get back to red head or she'll kill me."
Suki groaned as he stretched his arm tiredly.
"Damn, maid. Putting so much work on me, I ought to—"
He raised his eyebrow as he moved his torso sideways. A giant chain flew past, obviously coming in for the kill. Then the giant morningstar landed on the floor, creating a small crater.
Suki whistled as he turned around to see the threat. He could make out the faint outline of someone walking towards him.
"For the record, if Roswaal asks why that was there, I WILL blame it on you. Also you kinda dropped your spiky chain ball, let me just—"
The weapon immediately flew towards his torso. He easily dodged as Rem made the faintest scowl. Suki grinned.
"Now, that is quite the show. If I may, why are you attacking me?"
Rem tilted her head in slight confusion.
"You're not angry? You are about to die."
Suki chuckled as he slipped his hands into his pockets.
"Who said anything about dying?"
Suki dashed backwards as the Morningstar came forward, smashing into walls, into the floor and up the ceiling. But now matter how fast she threw her weapon, Suki just as easily dodged.
Suki exhaled as Rem stopped fighting. He grinned.
"So! You finally gave up—"
It flew past him even faster this time. His eyes widened, he stared arm, a large scar had formed. A rip on his suit, he stared at Rem. Something glowed on her head.
"Well, that evens things out."'
Suki flew even faster as the Morningstar chased him faster now, constantly scratching at his body, legs and arms. But none fatal. Suki could tell she was beginning to get testy. Her attacks becoming more and more wide and careless.
"So, tell me, does your big sis know you're up past your bedtime? Because you'll need that time to grow, y'know?"
The Morningstar flew at him. He grinned as he dodged to the side and latched onto the chain, her eyes widened. Suki pulled on the chain, dragging the maid holding it towards him.
"This will be finished before she finds out."
Suki grinned as he pulled her up.
"I agree."
Ram quickly turned the corner to find the source of the noise. There was nothing, no broken glass, wood, or marble.
She frowned as she started her journey back to her room. She entered the room to find her sister already sleeping. She chuckled as she gently pet her head.
She really was lucky to have her.
"Hey! What's up guys!"
Rem stared onward at Suki, who had a large crowd of children gathering around him. They seemed to be very excited to see him. She hefted up the heavy bags of produce.
"So, you guys want a story then?"
Several of the kids immediately shouted in approval. Suki chuckled, but he seemed to be staring at one of them in particular.
"So! A few days ago, I met someone special! She's actually VERY famous at the Capital, everybody knows her name!"
Most of the kids exclaimed in excitement save for the one Suki seemed to be keeping his eye on. Rem got closer to the scene.
"Our first meeting was very exciting too! We danced, she was a VERY great dancer by the way! But in the end I won and I took her arm!"
The children cheered Suki on, obviously with no clue as to why they were cheering, as he posed, but the purple haired one flinched before following suit, Suki smirked. Rem narrowed her eyes.
"Well, I've gotta go! But next time, you guys better be on your very best behavior. Who knows? I might go with that someone special again!"
The kids paused momentarily before laughing hysterically at his words.
"You?"
"You look very girly, Suki."
"Your eyes are very scary too."
Suki glared at them before huffing and turning away, he stared at Rem, who stood to the side. He chuckled as he gave her a small wave. He sighed as he turned back to them.
"Welp, I've gotta go. If I'm too late going home, red maid going to have my head!"
They said their goodbye's as Suki each gave them a pat, until he reached the purple haired girl.
"Hey, your puppy's too cute not to pet! Can I?"
She nodded nervously. Rem stared suspiciously at the girl. As Suki's hand reached the puppy's head, it reached out and bit into his hand. He grit his teeth as he pulled his hand away.
"Hey! Not cool, doggo! Not cool."
The children laughed at his misfortune, Suki fumed before turning away, waving back to the village as they got farther and farther away.
"Are you okay?"
Suki chuckled as he turned to face Rem.
"Yeah, just stings is all."
Suki took one of the bags from her.
"You were quite popular with them."
Suki chuckled as he stared at the setting sun. Rem thought that Suki looked old when he did that, even though he seemed perfectly young.
"In the past, I just had this thing kids always liked me."
Rem chuckled as she walked forward. She narrowed her eyes at him.
"Who was that?"
Suki raised an eyebrow.
"Who was who?"
Rem persisted staring intently at Suki who was chuckling nervously.
"That little girl you were keeping your eye on."
Suki stared at her briefly before chuckling.
"Someone of interest."
Suki quickly walked up the stairs of the mansion, then quickly opened a door. Beatrice sat in front of the door, reading.
"Ah, why have you come this time?"
He gently unwrapped a small gauze wrap on his hand. Two small puncture wounds lay on his hand. Beatrice took her eyes off of her book and stared at it momentarily before going back to reading.
"What do you want me to do with that, I suppose?"
Suki sighed as he sat down.
"There is something in the village, I'm pretty sure that thing did something to me, can you check?"
She huffed irritably before putting her book down and analyzing his wound. Her eyes widened.
"Something has inflicted a curse upon you, I suppose."
Suki raised an eyebrow.
"The heck are those? Like Hocus Pocus kind of?"
Beatrice sighed as she put her book down.
"Curses are evil things, I suppose. If a curse were to be activated, it would drain you of all your mana. Killing you of weakness."
Suki stared at his wound and chuckled.
"No way to get out of insta-kill then?"
Beatrice scoffed as she stood up and walked over to him.
"But before they are activated, curses are quite simple spells. Which are very easy for me to take away."
Her hands briefly glowed as she touched Suki. A black mist flew out of his hand. Suki's eyes hardened.
Suki began to leave. Beatrice raised an eyebrow.
"Where are you going?"
Suki smirked.
"I'm about to make Cruella de Vil look like a f_ck_ing joke."
"Rem? Ram?"
The pink haired maid along with the blue haired maid came forward to Emilia. She stared worriedly at the two.
"Did any of you see Suki? I haven't seen him since you came back from the village."
Rem frowned before staring up at Emilia.
"I think he may have stayed behind for something and gotten lost."
Emilia stared worriedly at the window. No sign of the suited man.
"Rem, Ram, can you please find him? Make sure he's safe?"
Rem shook her head.
"I cannot, Miss Emilia. My purpose is here, since Master Roswaal has gone, how would we know that this is simply a ruse and their actual purpose is to invade the mansion?"
Emilia's expression tightened.
"Ram can stay behind. Should there be any intruders, she will spot them and I can take care of them."
Rem sighed as she thought over Emilia's sound argument.
She nodded. Rem quickly walked away, Ram sending her a silent message of care. As she exited the mansion, freezing winds immediately blasted her face. It was a cold night. As she walked through the garden, she could sense a feeling of impending doom. Had something happened without her notice?
She stared forward into the darkness. The large forest stood ahead of her. If Suki had run into any trouble, he could no doubt defend himself, after all, he quickly dispatched of her and yet, what was this feeling of dread?
As she got got deeper and deeper into the forest, the smell of blood became thicker. She wrinkled her nose at the scent as she brought her Morningstar out. Every sound put her on high alert, the crinkling of the leaves under her foot, the calls of the owls in the woods and the high pitched call of the summer cicadas.
Then something flew past her face, her eyes widened as it stuck to a tree. She narrowed her eyes and examined the object, it was a hunting knife. She readied her weapon then the bush rustled and a bleeding Suki, stumbled out.
His eyes lit up as he saw her, he grinned a bloody smile.
"Hey! Rem, how's it going? Oh, uh, by the way could you just pass me my knife real quick? I'd love to get it, but some mabeast bit into my shoulder and now I can't feel it."
Her eyes widened as she saw that Suki's arm was in quite the deplorable state.
"Actually, it's a very good thing that you showed up when you did. Could you do me a teensy teensy favor? Just get the kids out of here, I gathered them on that hill and it has been the worst game of King of the Hill I've played so far."
Rem stared at his wounds before shaking her head.
"You are too wounded, we need to get you healed first."
Suki shook his head.
"No time, get the kids and get out of here. I'll follow once I find the missing one."
Rem exhaled shakily before quickly dashing away, the last thing she saw was Suki sucker-punching a mabeast whilst driving his dagger into another.
Suki groaned as another mabeast tore into his arm. He quickly stabbed into its neck, it fell limply. Dead.
He quickly turned to see Rem carrying the children back to the village. Suki sighed a breath of relief. He turned back to the gathering back of mabeasts. He grinned sharply.
"Well, let's tango first and then we'll see if I can make fur coats out of you."
The mabeasts all simultaneously converged on him. He dodged backwards, quickly slashing at any that came too close. He sprinted away, the mabeasts hot on his tail. He grinned as he saw the bright light ahead.
He arrived at a clearing in the forest. The mabeasts arrived shortly after, growling and tensed, ready to pounce. Suki grinned as he spun his hunting knives. Some of his wounds already disappearing. He cracked his neck and whistled.
"Now, let's boogie."

A/N
Finished this! Tried to make it really long too, so if you're wondering why Suki bothered to get hurt by the mabeasts at all, it was cuz he was stuck playing defense with them while protecting the kids, he couldn't just immediately plunge into the battle, without a mabeast sneaking on the other side. Also he's strong, but not strong to the point he can just slash and boom, forest gone. Not that strong. At least with just his raw strength. So hope you like it! Please review what you think and if you got any questions, I'll try my best to answer them on the next chapter.
