(Chapter 6: Thy Holy Massacre)
It was now the month of October, as Anakin and Asia continued to plan out how they would butcher the forces of Dohnaseek and Miltelt, as even with great power, Anakin wanted to leave nothing to chance in utterly crushing his enemies in these two fallen angels. With any moment they didn't spend training in their powers it was spent planning with Asia on how to best maximize the destructive potential of both her divine magic and Anakin's strength in the Force, all to make sure that no one was left alive.
Beyond that Anakin had also taken Asia up on her advice on trying to find a hobby to occupy his time beyond his physical training and Force training, the only problem was that there wasn't much that caught his interest or held his attention much to his irritation.
(October 2nd, 2017, Kuoh Town, 3:45 Pm)
It was a quarter till 4 as Anakin was currently exiting a restaurant that had what was becoming one of his favorite foods in the form of chicken dumplings, as he was walking down the street in contentment until he felt a presence in the Force that alerted him to its malevolence.
'Why would a priest have such malice and bloodthirst?' Anakin wondered while he approached the silver-haired red-eyed priest
"Hey! Who are you?!" Anakin called out to said priest
"Well, I'm glad you asked! I'm the great and unbelievably badass, Father Freed Sellzen! Here to slay Devils, monsters and any other shitty creature you need!" Freed exclaimed with a broad smile plastered across his face and all the flare of a showman too boot
"Then if it isn't too much trouble, then tell me why it is that your here in Kuoh? Do not spare me any details, I wish to know all of what you have planned here." Anakin questioned Freed while using the Force to make him a lot more receptive to the question at hand
"That's easy! I got called here not only to probably slay some shitty Devils, but also help some fallen angel schmucks in rockin' the complete and utter fuck out of this place!" Freed answered back the bloodthirst and blatant desire to eviscerate oozing from his voice
"Really..that's why your here? I honestly thought that you would have far better things to do." Anakin said in finding it somewhat disappointing that Freed was mainly here to be there attack dog
"The fuck do you say that for?" Freed questioned
"You no doubt are strong, but do you really want to lower yourself towards being an attack dog for these fallen angels. When in reality once they get what they want out of you, that they'll either kill you off or worse yet keep you around as a 'pet' for their amusement. Because what guarantee do you have that once you've done what they've called you here for that they won't stab you in the back immediately afterwards." Anakin answered back in raising the point that even if Freed agreed to being their attack dog that what was to stop them from killing him off once he did what was required of him
"Do you not think that with how 'badass; you claim to be that you deserve better than being made someone's inferior, only to have them get rid of you at your convenience. If your as great as you say you are, then you shouldn't be wasting your time on people who don't recognize your greatness." Anakin added as his words gave Freed brief pause to chew on his words
Freed's pride couldn't help but not only acknowledge the words of the former Jedi Knight but also see the truth in them as well at the fact that these shitty fallen angels could and probably would double-cross him, even with all of the awesomeness his skills as a former paladin/exorcist could accomplish. His feelings of anger and hate at the fact that he would more than likely get betrayed by the fallen angels even if he slayed the shitty Devils as was requested of him, feelings that were nudged and pushed by Anakin using the Force to have his emotions rise more to the surface and be more potent than they normally would.
"Those motherfuckers!" Freed snarled out at the fact that his potential double-cross was more than likely around the corner
"Even without doing what I came here to do, I can't just walk away from here empty handed and walk around like a jackass. So what the fuck do I do now?!" Freed wondered as to what he was to do now in this newfound realization
"You're rather strong, aren't you? So why don't you take your skills elsewhere, travel around the world and make a name for yourself beyond being their inferior. Make something greater of yourself and who knows; in time you can become something of a legend. A legend that even deities will be in awe of." Anakin answered back in seeing no reason why Freed couldn't take his abilities elsewhere and make a name for himself
"...Holy shit your right! I could be out there fucking shit up, slaying a whole lot more shitty Devils than what they probably offered me and get all the bitches out of it! Man...I really have been lowballing what I could do the more I think about it." Freed replied in realizing that he could do far more on his own in making a legend for himself than siding with Miltelt and Dohnaseek
"Good luck with all of that, you will probably need it with what's out there." Anakin said to the stray exorcist whose mind was racing at all of what could be achieved and the nigh-endless amount of whores he could soon have
"...Thanks, but why are you giving a single fuck about the fallen angels? Whoever the fuck you are." Freed wondered as to why Anakin cared about the fallen angels within Kuoh
"That is because they are invading my home. Therefore they must be taken out of the picture with extreme prejudice." Anakin answered in seeing no reason to elaborate beyond that simple reason
"Huh, I can get behind giving people fresh smoke for waltzing their way in your home. I doubt your gonna get shit done without something to fight with. No fucking offense, you look like your strong as shit. I still doubt that your gonna get anything really done without something to fight and fuck shit up with." Freed spoke as he was able to more than understand the need for giving people fresh smoke for walking into your home like they owned the place
"..As much as I despise this fact, I am without a weapon. So unless you have one on hand, then it looks as though I will have to do things as I've always done." Anakin told him before Freed held a hand up and started rummaging through the bag he kept on his person
"Take it from someone who likes cutting through shitty Devils and monsters that you can't go around without a proper weapon. So go ahead and take this." Freed spoke as they walked into an alleyway for him to give Anakin a spare deactivated light sword
"What is this?" Anakin asked as he took the light sword in hand
"Its a light sword. It isn't anything fancy like any of the holy swords that are out there, but it should help get the job done." Freed answered back as Anakin after some finagling with it activated it and caused a 2 and a half foot long blade of bright azure holy light to erupt
"This..this will do quite nicely." Anakin spoke as the holy sword gave him an almost nostalgic sense of wielding a lightsaber again
"Glad I could help ya out. Anyways, I'm gonna get the fuck out of here and start doing getting my shit together and getting all the bitches. See you later whoever the fuck you are!" Freed spoke as he headed off and away in deciding to fuck off before Dohnaseek and Miltelt got wise to his disappearance
"Today, turned out far better than I expected. I honestly thought I would've had to kill him." Anakin noted to himself as he deactivated the light sword and pocketed it
"So what are you going to do now? You finally have a proper weapon to combat both the fallen angels and the Devils." Ddraig questioned the former Sith Lord
"It's simple Ddraig. I'm going to practice with it, it has been far too long since I've done drills with a weapon and now..now I can finally get back to work." Anakin answered back in now having a proper weapon to train and really get back into the swing of things
(2 days later, October 4th, 2017, 10:14 Pm, St. Vincent's Church, Kuoh Town)
Soon enough it was the night for both Anakin and Asia to strike out at the fallen angels, with Asia having deemed it to be their perfect chance to do so considering that with Asia having scryed on them and having seen they were out of town to report back to their superior; that tonight was their night to strike.
"Asia, are you ready?" Anakin asked the war cleric who nodded
"I'm ready to start on your mark, Anakin. Just say the word and we can set it off." Asia replied ready with shield and battleaxe in hand
Without further words exchanged Anakin gave the signal for them to begin their assault on the church, with Asia raising her battleaxe that glowed with bright marigold light before a mighty conflagration of holy fire was brought down onto the church. The destruction was further ramped up by Anakin unleashing a devastatingly powerful shockwave of Force energy that tore through the burning building as though it were made of fragile pottery, the burning brick, mortar and wood being shattered with little if barely any resistance.
The duo soon enough saw many stray exorcists come storming out of the building; rushing forth to put out the flames that began consuming their base of operations while also looking for the ones who sundered their base. Something they got a reply in the form of Anakin throwing his light-sword as a deadly windmill that beheaded several of the stray exorcists before returning to the flying former Jedi and war cleric who both landed in the midst of the mayhem, both their weapons out as they soon began to strike out at their opposition.
Asia upon landing alongside Anakin immediately summoned forth a spectral chainsaw made of pumpkin orange holy energy to help aid her in the slaying of those around either their getting shredded by the spectral weapon, bashed in the face by her heater shield or getting an axe buried in their skull or stomach. Meanwhile Anakin had taken to cutting a warpath through anyone that stood in his way, using his strength to land bisecting cleaves and sideswipes that despite the rust in his swordsmanship skills, he was still able to deliver a terrifying precise and devastating onslaught.
The stray exorcists who dared to engage Anakin were met with swift ends, each strike made was one that either severed limbs, decapitated them in swift strokes of his blade or bisected them in brutal flourishes; or their necks broken through the Force or crushed by powerful Force waves. With Asia use of her own martial might in tandem with her divine magic to devastate the opposition, going forth as a fully armored tank of divine fury against the fallen paladins and clerics who attacked them.
"Anakin, I have an idea..it will be really cool!" Asia called out through the melee as she buried her battleaxe into the sternum of a stray exorcist
"What is it?" Anakin asked as he used the Force to pull a stray Exorcist into a decapitation strike
"Use your mind...whatever to read mine and you'll know what is…" Asia answered back before having to raise their shield to block a small plethora of holy magic spells that impacted her like shotgun blasts
"That I can work with! Just give me time to gather enough to make it work." Anakin responded as he could more than make what Asia wanted to do, he just needed time to gather enough power to make it work effectively
With that in mind Anakin shifted towards more of a domineering assault that used a combination of Djem So, Juyo and Shi-Cho to best overwhelm the large opposition that surrounded them; all the while gathering more and more Force energies to have Asia's plan work. All the while Asia went more on the defensive in using her shield to block while having her battleaxe be used for immediate counterattacks, all the while using the spectral chainsaw made of holy energy for a ranged offensive.
Something that worked in their favor; between Asia stonewalling them with her stalwart defensive and Anakin cutting a bloody swath through the opposition who thanks to both the war cleric and former Jedi Knight carving through their numbers with such little effort, began to flee from the scene as they felt that this was way above their weight class to continue to fight. All the while Anakin felt a measure of satisfaction in cutting down the stray exorcists, every slash, cut, thrust ,parry, block and riposte gave him a sense of nostalgia from his days in the Clone Wars when he would fight on the frontlines with Obi-Wan or Ashoka.
With mere moments passing before Anakin had gained a sufficient amount of Force energy he quickly disengaged and quickly leapt over to Asia who was in position with her heater shield raised over her head, all the while the descending Anakin channeled his gathered Force energies into his free hand that soon slammed down into the heater shield. The result was Asia's heater shield glowing a bright golden-orange before a explosive shockwave of pure Force energy erupted with such power it cratered the ground and had Asia grit her teeth as she was pushed into the earth around her, all the while the brief screams of the stray exorcists could be heard as they tried to escape from it.
For 400 feet around them was a 15 foot deep crater where the duo stood and soon clambered out of and saw that the air around them had been misted red from all of the stray exorcists that they were fighting and had tried to flee had been turned into a bloodied pulp of gore. With the church behind them having been turned into a small mountain of debris that smoked heavily from the now extinguished flames, the two then spent a half hour or so to make sure that nothing was left to chance in terms of every last stray exorcist was dead.
"That's all of them, Anakin. Every last one of them are dead." Asia confirmed to him in having gone through the area and made sure that every last one of them were dead as a doornail
"Excellent. That was a good idea Asia, although I think that we went overboard with how potent it was." Anakin spoke in surveying the area around them and seeing the mass amount of destruction
"Better safe than sorry. Would you rather any single one of them be left alive so they could go back and report to the fallen angels about what we did?" Asia questioned the former Jedi Knight
"Fair enough. Still, with this we have now swung things massively in our favor." Anakin said in knowing that now they had fortune ever moreso in their favor
"..So what do we do now? We've pretty much slaughtered their forces, so any ideas on where we go from here would be great." Asia wondered as to what they would do now that they butchered the forces of the fallen angels
"For now we simply wait until they show themselves again. When that happens, then we launch our assault on them and then capture them to be turned over to Azazel." Anakin answered back from where they would go from there when Miltelt and Dohnaseek returned
"Good to know, good to know...Anyways, can you fly us back home? Its getting late and I don't want to be around a destroyed church any longer than I have to." Asia requested from Anakin in not feeling right in being around a recently obliterated church
"Just hold on to me and I'll get us there in no time." Anakin spoke as Asia ran up to him and from there the two took off
Unknown to them a bat had been watching them through their onslaught with the stray exorcist some 200 hundred meters from afar; before flying away from the scene, with it soon returning to Rias's room in the Underworld whose eyes had been glazed over into a ruby colored haze after looking through the eyes and ears of her familiar. Once it landed back in her room she snapped her fingers and soon had her eyes return back to normal, as she soon let a small smile come across her face after all that she had witnessed through her familiar in seeing the capabilities of both Anakin and Asia.
"The more I see what you can do the more I can't wait to have you at my side, Anakin. Truly and hopefully you will be one of the best of my peerage. Maybe just maybe you can be my ticket away from being stuck with Riser for the rest of my days...I hope." Rias said to herself in being extremely impressed with Anakin's capabilities that seemed to grow more and more with each passing day while also hoping that Anakin would truly be her way out
'Please, please be my way out of this sham of a marriage.' Rias hoped to herself that Anakin would be her saving grace from Riser
(The next night later, Anakin's Mindscape, October 5th, 2017, 11:47 Pm)
Soon enough it was the night after their victory over Dohnaseek and Miltelt's army of stray exorcists, with Anakin now discussing with Ddraig on how he would be able to improve the light sword and turn it into a lightsaber he used to wield when he was both a Jedi and a Sith.
"So what is this idea you have to make my converting this light-sword into a lightsaber more effective? I am rather curious about what it is you have up your sleeves." Anakin questioned the Heavenly Dragon
"From what I had gathered from your memories that all lightsabers need a crystal of sorts to help them function to their full capacity. Therefore I figured we could use one of the crystals from the Boosted Gear as such crystals.." Ddraig replied although Anakin could sense a measure of doubt within the dragons' voice
"I'm sensing that there are some downsides to this." Anakin surmised from the tone in Ddraig's voice
"There are...Granted doing so would allow for it to become a weapon much more in line with one of your standards. There also comes with it the risk of your weapon becoming more unstable at the risk of it having great offensive capabilities." Ddraig informed him of the risk that came with using one of the crystals in the Boosted Gear as a focusing crystal
"How so exactly? I know that it is a rather powerful artifact, but surely the light-sword I was given would be able to withstand it." Anakin spoke in having felt that the light-sword would be a sturdy enough container for such power in a combative situation
"While it is functional no doubt, it will still serve as a weapon for you to fight with. However, due to it being such a commonplace weapon for exorcists; this means that it isn't built to contain and channel extreme amounts of power in the long-term. Which means that if you do this, this will only have your weapon function considerably well in the short term, but in the long-term it will be increasingly unstable until it eventually implodes upon itself." Ddraig responded as to what the risks were in terms of Anakin's weapon becoming something incredibly useful for the short-term but not much in terms of the long-term
"Are there any viable pros that outweigh this? If I am going through with this then there needs to be a considerable number of positive benefits to it. Seeing as how my doing this drops the shelf life of my weapon greatly by the sound of it. So you need to give me some convincing positives towards my doing this, as I doubt I can just find another replacement. Especially after what Asia and I had done." Anakin questioned on if his incorporating one of the Boosted Gear's crystals to make his light-sword function as a replacement lightsaber that any of the worthwhile positives outweighed the negative presented to him
"Besides it greatly boosting the offensive power of that weapon. It would come with a few added benefits that would no doubt aid you. One of which is being far more effective against not only draconic enemies, but when you do decide to incorporate it into that weapon it should absorb the light element inside of it and make it even more effective against Devils and other such creatures." Ddraig told him of one of its benefits in doing so
"On top of that incorporating your abilities of energy absorption into it. It will be able to absorb and dissipate a considerable portion of energy based attacks that come into contact with the blade. After all, with you no doubt having your hands full when you use your favored fighting style. This will allow you to have more viable defenses when under attack from magicians, Devils and et cetera." Ddraig added as one of the features of doing so that he began integrating into it was one that would give Anakin a greater defense at range
"Are there any other benefits that come from this that I should know of?" Anakin questioned the Heavenly Dragon
"Yes there is. Like your Sacred Gear, it does have the potential to grow and evolve its capabilities. While not to the same magnitude of the Boosted Gear, it will still be able to adapt and evolve in combative situations. Much like how you were able to during your time as Vader." Ddraig answered while Anakin mulled over the positives of doing this versus the negative
"So are you going to go through with it, or are you going to hold off for now?" Ddraig questioned the former Jedi Knight who was in thought over this
"...I say we go for it. While it may not be useful in the long-term, what matters now is that it is useful in the immediate here and now. At this point I need power that will guarantee me assured victory against our enemies." Anakin answered back seeing that at the present point in time that he needed as much firepower as possible to ensure victory against all of the unknown threats around him
'Besides, if everything can go accordingly. Then I should be able to find and acquire what I need to make a far more improved lightsaber.' Anakin noted to himself at the fact that soon enough he should be able to make himself a more improved lightsaber
"If that is your decision, then I will manifest one of the crystals from the Boosted Gear for you to use. Then the rest you should be able to figure out for yourself. I assume that since it functions similar enough to a lightsaber you used to use, it should be as easy to take apart." Ddraig said to Anakin who nodded in confirmation of the decision
It was soon a few minutes later in real time before Anakin woke up and saw that his hand was already covered in the gauntlet of the Boosted Gear that had his fist enclosed around something, with him opening it to see an emerald that was 3 quarters the size of a baseball. Upon seeing it he then used the Force to pull and levitate the light sword up close to him before telekinetically disassembling it to reveal a similarly sized glowing azure blue crystal to the one that had been manifested to the Boosted Gear.
Yet the moment he tried to move the crystal of holy light away and swap it out for the Boosted Gear's crystal the two one Ddraig manifest for him slammed and seemed to consume the crystal into itself, turning the color into a vibrant shade of turquoise; with Anakin not questioning what had just happened and proceeded to continue with reassembling the light-sword. With the very moment he refitted the crystal into it the light sword exploded briefly with emerald light with small discharges of cyan before the light sword revealed itself again, except this time the hit was bulkier and far more mechanical in design as well as now crimson coloration, with the wing-like crossguard now having disappeared in the form of twin 4 inch long golden horns that curved outwards.
Once he summoned the newly-improved weapon towards him he activated it and from out of it came a meter long blade of turquoise light appeared yet unlike the blade previously, this one seemed more erratic as it crackled with the surplus amounts of energy channeled through it and as such was twice as broad in length than it had prior. With Anakin doing a number of test-swings with his newly improved weapon and found that it had a greater amount of handling than the light-sword had, with a few minutes of going through the drills of Djem So and Soresu before he stopped with a small smile of satisfaction on his face.
"This will make dealing with Dohnaseek and the Devils go far more easily." Anakin said with his smile widening at the fact that with his newly upgraded sword that cutting down his enemies would be far more effective
"What will you do now with your improved weapon?" Ddraig questioned as the former Jedi Knight used the Force to open up the window next to him
"Isn't it obvious. I'm going to take this for a test drive and see how much more improved it has become." Anakin answered back before leaping out of the window and heading off into the night to test out his improved light-sword
(The following afternoon later, October 6th, 2017, O.R.C Building, 4:08 Pm)
It was the following afternoon later as Rias and Sona had once more met up with each other to discuss the matter of Anakin and his cutting a swath of destruction through Kuoh, on top of the fact that he was able to alongside Asia destroy a base that was chock full of stray exorcists.
"I told you that he was nothing to turn your nose up at, Sona. He and that blonde cleric are a rather formidable duo, if what I witnessed through my familiar was anything to go by." Rias spoke as the display of combative prowess was nothing if not both devastating and awe-inspiring
"This also means that they more than likely come as a packaged deal. With how close they are and how well they work as a team, this means that separating them will cause more problems than it will solve. Meaning that we will also have to figure convincing her into joining either of our peerages as well if we want Hyoudou to join." Sona replied in figuring that with how strong their team dynamic was that it also meant that they came as a two for one deal
"Luckily, I've already figured out how well they will fit into my peerage once I convince them to join." Rias said in having already figured out what positions that Asia and Anakin would work best in
"Really now? By all means share, I'm rather curious on what roles you have for them and why." Sona inquired on what the Gremory heiress had in mind for them
"For starters the cleric he is with is the most obvious choice of bishop with her high level of skill with divine magic. Although I don't know how her becoming a bishop under either of us would affect her magic. I do know that her Sacred Gear is something of great value, being one of the strongest healing Sacred Gears known to date. Which makes her a highly valuable asset to have for either one of our peerages." Rias explained in knowing that Asia would make a great bishop with her capabilities in divine magic on top of her Twilight Healing
"Perhaps it will be best to gather books on sorcery and alternative forms of magic. Just in the event that her use of divine magic is no longer viable when she becomes a Devil. After all, we don't know how negatively her use of divine magic could react once she is turned into one." Sona spoke in realizing that it would be best for Rias or herself to stock up on such books in the case that Asia joined either one of them
"Good idea...also wouldn't hurt to do so for myself." Rias said although the last part was more too herself
"Moving on to Hyoudou, what exactly do you have planned for him? With everything that he's capable of, it is hard to pin him to something specific." Sona responded in bringing up a point that even she for all her intellect would have to admit
In that Anakin's broad skill-set made it rather difficult to put him into anything short of being a Queen; his Force powers made him great as a Bishop, his sheer physical output and strength would make for an astounding Rook and his great speed and fantastic skill of late as a swordsman would make him a knight anyone would kill to have. In short, to put him in any single position was a rather difficult decision to make; because the fact to do would mean potentially squandering his abilities and the enormous potential that came with them.
"Beyond placing him as a pawn. I figured that a Rook would work rather well for him." Rias spoke in having decided to place Anakin in the position as her second Rook should she be able to recruit him
"A Rook. Care to elaborate on why you would use a Rook piece on him?" Sona questioned on why Rias would use that piece in place of any other
"While a pawn would no doubt play to the immeasurable amount of skills and powers he has at his disposal. A Rook piece would in my opinion fit him far greater than my pawn piece would. Not only would it increase his already surprising amount of strength. But it would also work well with the dominating nature of how he uses his powers to batter everything he comes across into submission. My bishop piece wouldn't have done much for him, seeing that beyond his strange powers he has no real magical potential. The Knight piece while it would have increased his speed greatly, it would've also meant that he would've risked a low amount of physical defense in exchange. Therefore having him as my Rook was the best option." Rias explained her reasoning behind why she chose to have Anakin become her 2nd Rook as adverse to being a Bishop or Knight
"That is..is actually a rather well thought out reason to have him as your Rook." Sona spoke in being somewhat surprised by the actually well thought out answer given by Rias
"Understand that I am at a point where I can't afford to recklessly choose just anyone to put into my peerage and waste valuable Evil Pieces. I have to be careful and consider not just any random person to put with just any of my Evil Pieces. Which is why I am making sure that anyone I do bring into the fold is the right person for what I need of them." Rias replied as her deadline with Riser forced her to be far more selective and analytical about who she brought into her peerage and what would best fit them
"Nice to see that you are finally taking things seriously. However, there is something that I would be remiss to not ask of you." Sona said while straightening her glasses on her face
"What is it, Sona?" Rias wondered
"What are you going to do should you be unable to convince Hyoudou to join you? After all, your plans for defeating Riser do hinge on him joining your side. So if he chooses not to, then I am curious on how you will proceed from there." Sona inquired on how Rias would do things if she was unable to recruit Anakin into her peerage
"Then I will simply prepare for the inevitable and prepare for when I request to battle him in a Rating Game. For that is all I can simply do if all else fails in convincing him to join my peerage. Not much I can do beyond that. I can't ask my parents as they are the ones pushing for this. I can't rely on Sirzechs, as he is too busy with his duties as a Satan to try and figure out a way to get me out of this; not that he hasn't tried. Which means that either way I will have to get my hands dirty when the time comes." Rias bluntly answered with a shrug of her shoulders in seeing very little she could do besides prepare for the inevitable
"Unless you have any ideas on what I can do to get out of it. Then unless he says yes and I gain a new Rook on my Peerage. It falls to me to get my hands dirty and do whatever it is I can to try and get a victory against my….'fiance'...oooohhhh how I hate to say that word." Rias sourly added as she saw no other way to do things if Anakin refused beyond that
"Again, I never would've expected to hear you say that. Normally you would be going to Sirzechs or Grayfia to try and get this swept under the rug. I must say that this is rather surprising." Sona said in being rather surprised at how Rias was going about this
"What is it that I'm supposed to do then? With how limited my options are, I'm quite literally on my own on this one." Rias told her longtime friend in how she was basically on her own at this point
"Besides what I have planned for those two, is there anything that you wish to share, Sona?" Rias asked her fellow heiress
"There is actually. It seems as though Hyoudou isn't the only one with these mysterious powers of his." Sona said which got the attention of her red-haired counterpart
"What do you mean by that?" Rias questioned further
"It seems that when Hyoudou healed Tsubasa that it allowed her to start manifesting similar powers to his." Sona revealed which understandably surprised Rias upon hearing this
"How exactly did you find this out, Sona?" Rias asked Sona on how she came about this information
From there Rias was told be Sona of how it first started manifesting when Tsubasa in having been annoyed by Saji's antics and having wanted to shut him up, had done so by using the Force to thrash him into the ceiling and choke him out in a fit of annoyance and anger. That point onwards she began manifesting the same powers of telekinesis, greatly enhanced physical prowess that was stacked on top of her Rook traits and a limited faculty of self-healing.
"It seems as though interesting things are continuing to happen thanks to him." Rias spoke in astonishment that Anakin caused someone similar to himself to pop up in the world
"Indeed. However, this also means that we must keep a closer eye on Hyoudou. If he was able to have powers like his own manifest in Tsubasa by a simple act of healing. Then he is clearly far more powerful than we realized." Sona said knowing that Anakin's powers were clearly far more potent than what they initially thought
"I agree. Although, what will you do about Tsubasa?" Rias questioned in terms of what would be done about the Sitri Rook
"For now at the very least, I will continue to have Tsubasa train in her newfound powers as she pleases; under my supervision. Who knows, given enough time she may develop unique powers of her very own." Sona answered back as to what her course of action was going to be
"...However, if there is nothing else to say between us. Then I will be on my way." Sona added as the brief silence between them was all the signal she needed to take her leave
'Just when I feel as though you can't be anymore interesting. You do things like this...truly you are something interesting, Anakin.' Rias thought to herself in finding Anakin to be more and more interesting in what he was capable of as time went on
With Anakin having now gained an actual weapon of his own to be able to properly combat his enemies in close quarters, on top of our duo massacring the forces of Miltelt and Dohnaseek. We see that they are now in good shape to begin the last leg of their fight against the fallen angels. The only real question is how will things go in the aftermath of it all? Now then onto some of the reviews from the last chapter.
UnsanMusho: As I said I plan on actually having Raynare have an actual role in things beyond just getting merc'd as she does in every story as basically a diet Cinder Fall from RWBY. Like I said with Xenovia, her dying is one possibility that could happen due to the fact that with Kokabiel not dicking around as he does in canon that her chances of dying are far higher than in canon..so as a result there's as much a chance of her dying as anyone else. Also the thing is that Anakin doesn't really have anything to make him want to help them considering how he's not tits obsessed like Issei and Asia is pretty much always at the ready to give Devils in general some fresh smoke...so yeah Anakin training them in any capacity is very, very slim.
NexusPrime42: Glad you liked the switch up with Raynare's role in things. Considering how I think it would both be nice from the usual standard of what we see of her and would give her more agency to do things now that she has a role in things beyond being Waifu/Harem member #68 as you see in most stories. I think that I will eventually have his lightsaber eventually turn Red and or White as understand that while he did get redeemed by Luke. That doesn't mean he's full-blown Jedi and one with the Light side and more so that he still favors the Dark side, but now with Anakin's personality of what he once was in the Clone Wars resurfacing itself but colored through Vader's experiences.
Kurokitsune208: I'm happy you like the story thus far, as the whole reason I wanted to do this is because there was a distinct lack of Star Wars X DXD stories and as such I thought it would be a good idea to fix that.
Edboy4926: The thing is when he does find out what Valper did...yeah if Kiba doesn't take him out and kill him then Anakin will on sight use the Force to trash compactor this man into a flesh meatball. Also thank you for giving me an idea for a funny omake in the future, as I think it would throw him for a loop to here is own voice come out of an animated lion and then mess with him even more when the whole Mufasa death scene hits.
Guest: The thing is that while Asia still does believe in the Christian Faith and Biblical God, that as you are right she does draw her divine magic from another deity and a war god to be specific. Because due to her wanting more power to defend herself, she would've done so. Therefore the only hint on who the deity that gives her, her divine magic in the story will be a pantheon that we've seen in canon before; so do with that as you will.
That takes care of that as I hoped you guys have enjoyed this chapter and all that's gone on in it as we head into the last bits of the Fallen angel arc. So without further delay, let's get into it now shall we.
First things first we've got Anakin encountering Freed and surprisingly enough the stray exorcist not only survives, but actually our former Jedi comes out of it with a free Light sword. Which I hope y'all liked as Freed will come back around later on down the line after taking Anakin's advice.
Next up is Anakin and Asia going to the abandoned church and fucking shit up, which was a lot of fun to have written out in seeing them just rip right through their opposition and then some.
Following up after that is Anakin making the decision to upgrade his weapon into something that will function as the in-between stage of him re-creating his lightsaber, something I hope y'all like as I figure hey why not do it since no ones' done something like it from what I've seen.
Lastly we've got a bit between Rias and Sona that I hoped y'all liked in both showing that Rias is actually having to grow up a bit, and the fact that Tsubasa of all people is now Force-sensitive thanks to what Anakin has done.
All that being said I hope y'all enjoy this story and what's to come in the future chapters of it as well as favoriting, following and sending reviews so that we can hopefully make this a pretty decent story. As flames for the most part will be ignored unless you got anything nice to say or that helps the story then go somewhere else.
