Over a week had passed since the bombing at the campaign rally. Many are still grieving the lives of those lost in the explosions caused by Mr. Negative and his compatriots. However, this is not the same for the heroes.
"Okay...what kind of info do we have?" Iida asked.
"Thanks to Spider Man, we know his real name. Martin Li." Izuku said.
"He's pretty well known around the city. Most of all for his F.E.A.S.T Center. Short for Food, Emergency, Aid, Shelter and Training." Gemini piped in.
"Uh...we already knew that but thanks." Izuku said.
"Well did you know he's been investing in an old recycling center?" Gemini asked.
"Okay...that we didn't know." Eijiro said.
"The police can't move on Mr. Negative because of how his civilian identity is so well figured. So we need to show Yuri proper evidence. This recycling center is where we can most likely get some." Kendo said.
"
"You think that it's a front for his gang?" Kaibara asked.
"100% positive. We best take a look." Kendo said.
"Please, be careful." Thorani said.
The heroes went off towards the center.
"Looks like the info was spot on. It's crawling with Demons." Shoji said.
"I'll head inside and take a look at what they have." Hagakure said. "Powers or not, they can't see me at all."
"Uh...I think we have a better approach." Izuku said pointing to an air duct as a few of them slipped inside and into a secret room. "What the?" he said seeing all the weapons inside.
"Explosives from one of Fisks construction sites." Eijiro said.
"And these guns...they're definitely the ones from the armory at the harbor." Todoroki said.
"Whoa…" Ochako said, looking at a map. "Is he going to take on New York?"
"Come on. That's...wait...all these sites on the map...they're Osborn campaign buildings. He's not going for the city...he's going after Osborn." Yaoyorozu said.
"And innocent people are gonna get caught in the crossfire if that happens." Mari said.
"We can't let that happen. Cmon, let's go and inform Yuri about what we found." Kendo suggested.
"Wait...who are those guys?" Tetsutetsu asked looking outside to see men in armored suits and trucks taking out the demons with ease.
"Let's see….I got it. They're called Sable International, a Symkaria-based Mercenary Force." Mari said.
"Wait...Sable like...Silver Sable?" Hope said. "Isn't she like some badass mercenary?"
"Yes, and she's their leader." Mari said. "Guess Osborn wanted to bring in some extra security. Best to avoid them for now." she suggested. "Just give Yuri the info and…"
"She's not gonna take just our word." Dhar said. "True we uncovered a plot but none of it actually connects to Li."
"So, what do we do now?" Kaibara asked.
Kendo thought for a minute before getting an idea. "We need to find what Li is really after first. This Devil's Breath weapon, it must be something he ultimately plans to use against Norman. We have to find it first, and keep it away from Li and the Demons."
"As good a plan as any. And it does seem like there is a good place to try to get info from." Bakugo said, looking to the Oscorp building.
"You can't be serious. You wanna break into Oscorp to take info?" Iida asked.
"Not like we have any other options. If we want info, you go to the source." Izuku said.
"All right...guess we're sneaking in then." Tsuyu said as they headed towards the Oscorp building.
It was later they had arrived at Oscorp, and it was clear to see that security was tight. Sable Guards were patrolling the building, inside and out.
"Hmm...this is tricky. We'll have to disable a few systems as we go." Mari said. "I can't take them all offline or else they'll go into a lockdown."
"I guess this is where I come in." Sachiko said.
"Wait, Sachiko, are you even still able to Connect Jump into their server from here?" David asked.
"I picked up some things from Chihiro when we were on the Ocean Turtle." Sachiko said. "Plus...he was kind enough to give me this." she said, showing a strange visor. "It lets you enter servers as long as you know their URL. It's a pretty expensive hacking tool."
"This looks pretty nifty." Crusadermon said.
"It'll be really useful for possible future situations like this. We're counting on you." Mari said.
"Alright! Just leave it to me!" Sachiko said as she puts on gloves with touch sensors on them. "Logging in." she said putting the visor down as her body went limp.
"Sachiko?" David asked.
"It's alright. Her subconscious is just infiltrating Oscorp's servers." Crusadermon said.
"Fascinating." Mari said. "It's like how ARIA operated in a way."
"So very true." Fulgore said.
Inside of the server, Sachiko was navigating through a number of security measures as she made her way to a terminal.
"Hmm...now that I think of it...I should also be able to get the info on what Osborn has been up to." Sachiko said as she was hacking in. "GR-27? Huh…" she said looking through. "The chief scientist is one Dr. Morgan Michaels. But a lot of the info is redacted." she communicated back.
"That's fine. Just keep going through as much as possible." Mari said.
"Hmm. AI controlled CRISPR?" Sachiko said.
"That would mean, if it works, it could cure any genetic disease." Mikan said.
"Hmm…" Sachiko said. "Good: High Efficiency and consistent results." she said before looking into the bad. "Oh no. The viral delivery mechanism targets the immune system by accident. They tested it on one rat and in a week all 40 of them were dead. Oh good. GR-27 is Devil's Breath. It's supposed to be a genetic cure but in its current state, it could cause a massive pandemic."
"So that's why Li and the Demons are after it now, huh?" David asked.
"Thankfully there's only one sample of it. Dr. Michaels keeps it on his person at all times." Sachiko said.
"This is bad. That would make Dr. Michaels their prime target." Leopardmon said.
"Then we need to find this guy ASAP!" Eddy said.
"I just looked into him. He's under Sable's protection. They'll be transporting him pretty soon." Mari said.
"Meaning the Demons are going to strike. We need to head over there." Sachiko said.
"We're on it." Izuku said.
They hurried towards another part of the city as a number of Demons drove in a large armored car with Spider Man in pursuit.
"They have Michaels." Spider Man said. "Luckily they took him alive."
"Probably to make more Devil's Breath." Yaoyorozu said.
"That's why we need to stop them, now." Spider Man said.
They pursued the armored truck as it rolled down the road at high speeds.
Spider Man eventually managed to get on top of the truck as he proceeded to fight off multiple demons trying to stop him, the other heroes in pursuit. It wasn't long before more Sable Agents joined in, firing rockets at the truck.
"Whoa, why does everyone suddenly have rocket launchers?" Shishida said.
Everyone suddenly got an incoming message from Silver Sable herself.
"Spider-Man, get clear, the children and you both. You're interfering in this operation." she communicated.
"Sorry, but none of us are on board with Operation: Missiles in Manhattan!" Spider Man said.
"Prepare to fire." Silver Sable said as her men started firing.
"Whoa!" Tsuyu said.
"We need to end this fast or else someone is gonna get hurt." Setsuna said.
"I'm gonna go for Li, you guys cover me!" Spider man said, leaping to the front of the truck. At that moment, two vans with demons arrived and began shooting to back up the armored truck.
"Shishida, the cars behind us!" Kendo said.
"I'm on it." Shishida said as he started to change into his beast form as he latched onto the car as he hurled the guys inside out before moving to the next.
"Spider Man...how goes the truck?" Ojiro asked. "Spider Man?" he asked before seeing the web slinger being corrupted by Li only to break away and try and bring the truck to the side before they crashed into a building.
After the dust settled, they looked inside.
"Li's gone." Todoroki said before seeing an empty case. "And he took the serum with him."
"Damn… We were so close. We had them." Togaru said.
"I'm sorry, everyone." Mari said.
"Not your fault. For now, we just need to focus on what his next move may be." Todoroki said.
