Chapter 6: The Lust Teigu

Tatsumi was deep in thought as he usually was at times like these. He was in the mess hall sitting alone Najenda had given him orders to watch over Lubbock and that's what he's been doing acting as his own personal nurse something Lubbock didn't much appreciate. He's learned to open up to the Teigu and doesn't really hate him anymore which was good.
"Perhaps I was foolish to think that a weapon can love anything in this world"
His words where true and to the point and it was the truth Tatsumi accepted a long time ago weapons can't love other things but still he was hurting about something on the inside and he needed answers.
"dam it." Tatsumi said looking down at his hands.
"what the hell was it..."Tatsumi said to himself
"hey Tatsumi!" Bulat said
"oh….hey Bulat"
"you look like your deep in thought."
"yea sorry I've been on edge recently"
"about what?"
Tatsumi paused he didn't really know what to say it was such an alien concept to him What he was wondering about…
He looked down with solemn and somewhat sad eyes.
"I-I don't know."
"I get it although I'm not really the type of guy to come to advice when your mind is distracted."
"we all have talents in different things it would appear." Tatsumi said
"yea but where all good at killing"
Tatsumi made a faint smile
"indeed Bulat."
"hey weren't you supposed to be looking after Lubbock right around now?" The soldier asked
Tatsumi's eyes widened
"good talk Bulat gotta go!" He said taking off getting on his all fours disappearing down the hall.
"dam that thing is fast." Bulat said to himself
Lubbock groaned in his bed.. He was injured it had been a little bit since Tatsumi saved him from the be-header but his wounds where not healing very pleasantly to say the least.
Suddenly the door in front of him was kicked open. Surprising the hell out of Lubbock
"what the hell are you doing!" Lubbock asked
"I'm late to give you your medicine! Please forgive my arrogance!" Tatsumi said
"What the hell are you doing busting in here! Did anyone ever teach you to kno-" Lubbock said suddenly coughing up a storm.
"I am here to help Lubbock." Tatsumi said pulling out a small pill
"no" Lubbock said, Tatsumi had reached to give him the medication but it wasn't really going to well since Lubbock gave it back rejecting his medication he needed for his wound
"If I have to jam this down your throat then I will"
"hey quit it you glorified maid!"
"stop fighting me.."
"get outta here!"
"After you swallow your medication you dam Teigu abuser!"
"I will just give to me like a normal human bei…." Lubbock paused for a moment as Tatsumi gave him a look that just said 'are you serious right now'
"Oh yea I forgot-ARG" Lubbock began to say as Tatsumi jammed his fingers into his side causing Lubb to yelp. Tatsumi seized the opportunity and put the Pain killing pill in his mouth forcing him to swallow it.
"there you happy now?" Lubbock said
"yes I am, looking over your well being is my primary focus right now"
"Tatsumi…"
"yea Lubbock?"
"if that Spectator thing.. Had shown you who your really loved most in the world...Who would it have shown you?" he asked
Tatsumi looked at him.
"honestly...I've been thinking about that...A lot actually….ever since I dragged you back to base unconscious its all I've been thinking about"
"and?"
"nothing… I'm still completely puzzled by it and its bothering me"
"It better not have been Najenda"
"I don't know who it would have shown Lubbock."
"yea yea" he said
"hey whats the deal do you like her or something?"
"yea just keep that between us though ok?"
"well if your that forward with it then it wont really matter if I tell anyone."
"yea I guess your right…."
"I am but back on topic I have still been lost in thought its bothering me I don't know what to make of it at all."
"good… Having thoughts like that make you human they make you who you are"
"make me human…." Tatsumi said still in thought
"I don't know maybe I'm just giving you bad advice you should probably see someone whose actually good at this sort of thing"
"someone who gives good advice…" Tatsumi said tapping his chin with his finger
"wait no actually don't listen to tha-"
"Najenda-commander!" he said out loud
"wait no.. Tatsumi"
"I'm glad I can be of assistance Lubbock But I must go now" he said running out the door.
Lubbock sighed to himself
"son of a bitch.." Lubbock said now being alone in his room
He was scared about Tatsumi and Najenda he really was Jealous and cursed the Teigu that he got so much attention but… Tatsumi did save his life and for that Lubbock was starting to like him more and maybe a visit to someone like Najenda was exactly what Tatsumi needed right about now.
Tatsumi was walking through the base almost dreading making it to his wielder. He was scared but he didn't even know why...No he did he was going to open up about his past. He was going to talk about his last wielder.
Najenda was sitting outside in the court yard smoking a cigar as she usually did on days like these. Her head hit the back of the wall gently whilst a puff of smoke left her lips. She was relaxed the last mission hunting down the headhunter went well except for Lubb's injuries everything was calm and quiet. Her Teigu was tending to Lubbock's wounds the others where all doing there own thing.
Najenda sighed she was almost bored with how calm it was but it was nice to relax.
"Najenda.."
She opened her eye she knew that voice it was Tatsumi her organic type Imperial Arms. His eyes where down to the ground he looked as if he had done something wrong and was scared to tell her. She also made note that he didn't call her by her nickname that Tatsumi gave her something that almost bothered her she liked those words strung together and that was a clear giveaway that this wasn't going to be a normal talk.
He sat in a chair was across from her her it was slightly lowered then her own.
"is something the matter Tatsumi?" she asked
Tatsumi looked up to her.
"y-yes I im sorry But I have been a bad Imperial Arms to you Najenda-commander"
She looked down on him
"You've done so much for me you've taken care of me all of your Subordinates and they even have opened up to me but… I haven't done much in return."
Najenda was little confused at this
"you killed for me Tatsumi...That's all you need.."
"no… you hardly know anything about me...yet…. If its a good time..I want to talk.."
Najenda smiled to herself
"Its a great time to talk… Tatsumi."
It was Tatsumi's turn to smile
"I.." Tatsumi began to say only to go into silence.
Dam it your overthinking this Tatsumi
Tatsumi sighed
"in my all my years..I've had many wielders"
Najenda just kept looking down at him its been to long since she's heard a good story.
Tatsumi nodded slowly
"I Took care of them and I liked them but at the end of the day none of my Wielders cared for me and I never really cared for them sure some of them where nice to me and some even pretended to care about my well being but one thing was certain to them I wasn't human.. And I cant blame them for thinking that after all it was most definitely true but they only saw me as a means to get what they wanted I've only been seen as more from very few… But one in-particular I will never forget."
"your last wielder."
Tatsumi nodded slowly
"I wasn't always this down all the time I wasn't always like….This." He said looking at his hands
"I was more Like… Akame or Bulat not really caring about life just being an emotionless killer in other words I Didn't really have much."
"and that's why you considered destroying your core." She said
Tatsumi sighed
"y-yes that's why I considered…. that"
"But then I met my last wielder…at the time was the great civil war some of the other Organic Type Imperial Arms where used to fight us It wasn't easy fighting them but the group I was with where the ones marching south we where having difficulty fighting to say the least I was an outcast to the other soldiers but she wasn't she got along with everybody and I could tell that she actually genuinely cared. About each of us. She wasn't just my wielder she was my commander…"
"can you describe her to me?" Najenda asked curiously
Tatsumi made a faint smile
"red hair and a cross bow always on her side she almost never missed a shot and always stood up straight all the time...A natural born leader she had a fire in her that only you have matched but under all that there's a sweet and caring person she was good to me. Really good"
Tatsumi still had his head bowed down.
"but she wasn't just my commander either...she was more…"
Najenda raised her brow a little at that
"I don't know what it was."
"I felt a strange feeling in my chest whenever I was near her…. I felt nervous speaking to her… she even made the others see me as equal to human the others then started seeing me as a friend, the men under her respected her and I loved my place among them she sent me on frequent missions and me and her where extremely close but what was that feeling….. the one in my chest…. Najenda-commander...What was it?"
Najenda was looking down at him she had an answer but she didn't know if she wanted to tell him…
"don't answer I'm not sure I want to know anymore…...One day She sent me out for a couple of weeks on a recon assignment…I had planned on telling her about what was happening with me when I got back…"
"and….Did you?"
"when I got back to the camp…some of the soldiers told me that my wielder hadn't left her tent all day no one dared enter her personal quarters but I was worried so I went in and what I saw…...I….I"
"Tatsumi…." Najenda said
He looked up at his wielder.
"Its ok…What did you see?"
"she was hung by the neck…"
"I fell to my knees wide eyed looking at her lifeless white cold corpse"
"she ended her own life?"
"I Didn't know for sure...Until I saw claw marks on her body and signs of a struggle…. And then a suicide note...That wasn't in her hand writing….It was as if they wanted my to find out.."
Najenda kept looking straight at Tatsumi not wanting to look away from his pained face she liked looking into that face…
"I knew I would never find the soldiers responsible….But the whole camp was there... I didn't... mean….to….Overreact….I just….thought….. I don't remember much of what happened I think my trump card activated"
"Tatsumi…. What did you do?"
Tatsumi didn't reply he didn't need to for Najenda to get her answer.
"when I woke up… There wasn't a lot left of the camp. I was covered in blood…..so….much…..blood"
Najenda stared at him with a wide eye
"what happened to you after that?"
"I just…. Ran away… I ran as far as my legs could take me and then I fell to sleep."
"that sleep I had… it was the most peaceful one I've ever had in my entire life. I think if you hadn't have pulled me out of it I might have been in it forever"
"thank you for listening to me Najenda-commander I came for advice and ended up answering my own question in the worst way possible" Tatsumi said looking down at the ground
He felt the touch of a cold metal hand across his face he looked up to see his wider looking at him with a sad face.
"oh Tatsumi….Your no Weapon ….your no slave either….your just a person… "
"a person….With emotions wants and needs…And a soul"
He looked into her piercing gray eye
"for the past 1000 years there's been only few to see it that way."
"And now that your being seen that way you crumble it doesn't take two eyes to see how far you have fallen...I'll make them see Tatsumi… all of them will see… everyone in Night Raid will see you as I do."
"because at your center you might not be a human but you are a person a person who just wants to see who you love again...And what can be more human….Then that."
This was not the first time Najenda had Surprised Tatsumi with mere words but it was crazy how she could she could pull it off time after time.
"You know despite everything I've just said about my last wielder….you might be the best I've had."
Najenda smirked
"a huge compliment considering the competition"
Tatsumi hugged her as fast as lighting
"Thank you…. From the bottom of my heart….Thank you so much"
Now it was Najenda's turn to be in shock she had never been hugged by on of her subordinates before she had men respect her and some looked up to her but none like this or to this decree.
The poor thing was trembling…
It was then Tatsumi noticed something….
No it can't be...Not again.
Was he feeling...That same emotion?
8 Days Later "
"hmm Think of all the fish there" Akame said with Hunger in her voice
"focus Wielder-Akame"
"we have time lets not move out yet"
"understood"
The two where on a mission together it was the black of night and they were Tailing a target who had come to the docks of an Imperial base
"You know I was thinking about how similar you seem to me" Tatsumi said
"Hmm? How so?" Akame asked
"well now that you've put me on the spot its hard to say… But if I were to have to focus my mind I would say we where both Weapons who learned to serve a higher purpose while still keeping our original purpose Intact."
Akame was surprised at the truth of the Teigu's words and she did a good job in hiding it.
"I guess. That's a good way to look at things Tatsumi."
Tatsumi thought back to what his wielder had told him he wanted to hear a second opinion on the matter.
"a person….With emotions wants and needs…And a soul"
"Gluttonous-Akame Do you think I have a soul?"
She paused for a second
Akame never did understand why Tatsumi always went to her for these larger then life questions but she was usually happy to answer but this time it was different as if she couldn't really answer the question.
"I-I couldn't say."
"hmm not as easy as asking if I'm alive is it?"
"no its not"
"but I suppose that asks the question...is something truly alive if it doesn't have a soul?"
"our Target is moving" Akame said
Tatsumi faced forward
"we have him cornered" He said
"cover the east exit by the water"
"understood" Tatsumi said following orders
He grew his claws out and along the rooftops moving almost as fast as Akame did. They split up though Tatsumi forking left and Akame staying straight.
Tatsumi landed on the ground by the dock guarding any chance of fleeing by boat.
Maybe this Assassination thing isn't so bad if playing guard dog is all I have to do.
It was then Tatsumi sensed something… Something...Familiar
He put his nose in the air to get a scent a location but it was everywhere and he couldn't get past him.
"you can show yourself now."
the strong sound of wind was heard before shadows facing behind Tatsumi started to materialize into a humanoid figure.
"I thought that was you…" Tatsumi said not even turning around
"so...you finally show your face after 500 years and that's what you have to say...cmon you haven't even gotten a little better at greeting?" The feminine voice said
"well like you said it has been 500 years since our last meeting….. Sayo" Tatsumi said facing His fellow Teigu
He looked her up and down
She was dressed in a black uniform the same one she always wore and it was the one Tatsumi used to wear before he got stuck with the bumpkin look. Her hair was way different it was curly instead of straight down with a flower in it like it used to but her most prominent feature... besides her chest… Was her eyes they where a dead black you could stare into them forever but the minute she activates her powers they turn red and her lust to kill is unleashed on the world.
"Sayo? I thought we called each other by our Teigu Names when it was just us Imperial Arms talking to each other. I missed you by the way I thought you should know that…. You don't know how hard it is going 500 years not being able to use my own trump card." Sayo said showing him her hand as it sparked the slightest bit of energy
Tatsumi's eyes narrowed He had forgot about the trump card he and Sayo had made it really was a powerful combo a shame it required them both to be on the same side.
"so I'm guessing you've seen other Biological Teigu in this cycle?" Tatsumi said
They started circling each other like two cats ready to pounce on a moments notice
"Yea...Ive been working closely with Greed recently.." Sayo said
"That's a good one to work with who else?" Tatsumi asked
"where looking to dig up sloth from hibernation." Sayo said
"might be a difficult task without a wielder...where is yours by the way?"
"I don't have one."
"Impossible..I don't remember you being very good at jokes"
"oh but its the truth and it goes for all of us and it will go for you soon enough."
"so that confirms it was me your coming after."
"yes I was asked to take you in alive and I would really like to do this with out violence...Wrath"
"well you see I'm not that easily swayed."
"funny I told greed the same thing."
"well you are trying to kidnap me."
"either way I want it agreed between us that your the one who choose violence."
"I was ordered to guard this exit…."
"ordered? By your wielder? Your loyal I'll give you that. what about escaping all that…. me and you without wielders wouldn't it be nice not to have chains to anyone."
"if you really found a way to live without a wielder then I would of liked to join you...Unfortunately I found the best out of the humans."
"well it looks like where doing this the hard way then" Tatsumi said
They both narrowed there eyes at each other they where ready to tear each other apart.
Tatsumi pounced faster then you could blink
But was surprised as he was impaled right in the chest just before reaching Sayo's face. The object of his impalement was a shadow well that was the best way to describe it looked like a really dark cloud that had sprouted out of her lower back making it look somewhat like a tail and that's what they where called either a shadow tail or shadow Tendril.
Her eyes turned red from her going to a dormant to an activated state.
The tail left his body and he caught himself before he fell to the ground.
"well look at this Sayo you've gotten stronger." Tatsumi said jokingly as if the big hole in his body didn't exist
Sayo giggled
"see that's why I can't stay mad at you Tatsumi your such a joy to fight no other being compliments you after impaling them that's why I am offering you one last time to join me and get away from all of this." She said reaching out her hand
"I'm sorry Sayo but this is going to have to happen by force." He said as his wound was gone in an instant
"hmm Disappointing I always found your loyalty so cute like a little dog trying to impress his master...So I think its time this dog heeled." She said sprouting another shadow Tendril from her back it was scary how deadly this weapon is.
Tatsumi roared as he went to primal state 3 growing out his teeth it seemed he was past the point of chatter he charged her at lightning speeds way faster then last time Sayo's eye's widened she didn't expect that to be so fast.
Her tails crossed into an x as she hardly blocked the strike. Tatsumi jumped over her going for an overhead strike she blocked those strikes as well… as handy as her regeneration is taking hits is still a disadvantage.
Tatsumi landed behind her already going for another strike
Sayo turned around only to get struck with his claws right across the face it was a decent blow and it would have permanently scarred her if she didn't have her regeneration.
Sayo countered by throwing her tails at Tatsumi which he swiped away with his claws.
"nice hit Tatsumi but I wont fall for that again.." she said as Tatsumi jumped over her ready to do the exact same move he had just tried.
Tatsumi felt her grip around his ankles with her Tendrils throwing him down as hard as she could.
Tatsumi slammed into the ground shattering the ground beneath him this hit was way worse then the other one it would have easily killed a normal human. His primal state faded as he went back to state 2 with just smaller claws
Blood was flowing from the teigu's mouth as he struggled to move.
"I Expected more from you I truly did" She said to him
"This fight….Isint over." said getting to his feet even in his bloody form he still had
"Ara Ara Whats this? Still getting up to fight? That's cute.." She said as two more Shadow Tendrils sprouted from her back. She had four coming out of her now.
Tatsumi was now fully to his feet..
"wow that seems a little excessive...Two was already a little much."
"I can never be to careless with you Tatsumi" She said as the launched themselves at him
Tatsumi's eye's widened how could he not expect this from her?
He manged to swipe away the first two but one landed a hit going through his gut.
Tatsumi winced in pain
Before the other wrapped around his neck fitting snugly like a scarf. It prevented him from moving
The others that he had swiped away came back and wrapped around his body just the same while the other embedded it self in the stomach right next to the other one.
Sayo walked up to the entrapped Teigu
"oh Tatsumi Tatsumi Tatsumi I just wanted to bring you back to the rest of us nice and quiet" She said
"and now I'm going to have to take you there by damaging your core...but Its not all bad Fighting you again as made me realize how fun you are and I hope We can fight together this cycle…" He felt her hand touch his cheek all nice and sentimental she loved having control in these types of situations. He felt her warm breath touch his face her red eyes where gazing into his she was beautiful there where was no doubt about it and there was definitely worse Teigu to lose to But Tatsumi was so caught up looking into her eyes he barley even had enough time to realize she was going to damage his core.
"Wait no Sayo….Please"
"Now… Be a good dog and HEEL!"
Simultaneously The two tendrils moved up his body carving a path moving so fast that his body basically exploded blood spilled every where and the Tendril behind his neck slid forward retracting yet slicing his nape where his core was on its way out.
Tatsumi's eyes went wide as his body was torn apart and his core was sliced
The Teigu fell to the ground no longer entrapped and not showing any sign of resistance anymore.
As soon as the cut was made Sayo realized she overdid it...She was so close to killing him But he should be fine.
Sayo looked down on him with sad red eyes she had missed the son of a bitch and she in truth never wanted to fight him because she knew it would end this way.
Tatsumi was on the ground gasping for air he was missing his left arm and his right leg and about 40% of his torso.
"I'm sorry I over did it I'll make it up to you I promise" She said to her friend at least that's what she wanted to believe, That Tatsumi was her friend...
"but for right now...Your coming with me..." She said as she reached her hand out to grab him.
"I'm sorry Tatsumi but you never learn."
Suddenly Sayo's hand was cut off
"What…"
Akame landed in front of Sayo protecting Tatsumi
That attack was fast Akame must have really been in a rush to save Tatsumi.
They both got into a defensive stance
"Leave him alone or you die." Sayo said
"I can't do that.. He's not mine to give away."
Sayo Growled Protectively
"he's mine you can't have him...So be a good little assassin and run off Like the rat bitch that you are" Sayo said Getting her Tendrils ready to kill.
"That's not happening."
"why risk your life for him? He's a Teigu you know and your a human You don't think of him as an equal isn't that right?"
"I would gladly risk my life for my friend." Akame said
"oh your one of those who likes to lie to him is that it?"
"why would I lie about that"
Sayo pointed at her
"you humans are all the same you pretend to care about us...That's all you are, you don't care for Imperial Arms so leave."
"I told you...Its not happening"
Dammit I can't fight her I would risk Tatsumi activating his trump card. Looks like Today's your lucky day Tatsumi you get away this time but do you even realize what you've done? Greed won't be as forgiving as me He'll catch you no matter what I wish It could have been me to take you away from all this...But your a very stubborn being.
Sayo's Tails turned to nothing as her eyes went from red to there normal black
She put her hand up and waved to Tatsumi
"Till next time...Tatsumi" She said looking at the barley Functioning Imperial Arms
"….sayo" Tatsumi said in a weak voice as he raised his hand almost repeating the same motion she did
She gave a sad look before disappearing into nothing.
Akame was surprised both from the interaction the two had and The black haired lady turning into nothing. It seems she had very special powers.
What a Chapter I want you guys to tell me who you think the other Biological Teigu are there all I'm making big hopes for this story. And a nice road map of events that will happen.
Now I know You might be confused as to why I called Tatsumi a Teigu AND an imperial Arms well that's just how I'm going to be doing it crossing the two names since they mean the same thing.
Also if you had trouble picturing Sayo if you look up "Shadow spawn from beyond the stars gf" Look at the high quality one that's her that's how I imagine she looks. Well see ya next time lemme know how I did!
