Old style- I'm glad you like it and, of course, I'm gonna make them treat their partner's as their friends, especially since they have somewhat the same personality, but they might have an estranged relationship with the other Dark Digidestined

Flareix- I honestly didn't even know that was a problem with my tenses so thank you for pointing that out. I was thinking about Astamon for his Ultimate but wasn't sure, and for the digivolutions, the Champion levels are mostly sort of a dark variation of their canon forms but then Ultimate's and Mega's will be more different

Sweet Cari- Ooooh, can't wait to read them!

Gonna say this now, but in the chapter, there will be one or two hints of neglectful parents and a troubled past. Of course, the kids who were chosen in the fic Milleniumon would choose kids with a troubled past because why would you want to choose kids who have a perfect life and don't fit with their crest? I usually dislike it whenever they make the kid's parents horrible parents because I like all of them too much, but for this fic, I will need to do so.

You are the only one who can continue my destruction, you must lead the other Dark Digidestined to your goal

Standing still, Tai scanned the ground. Destruction? Goal? Dark Digidestined? What does that mean?

He couldn't stop remembering the fight with Monochromon. When darkness surrounded him, sending him to that place where negativity arose around him. The voice told him to perform his goal of causing destruction, but then the voice did not specify what it was.

Perhaps he was just imagining it? That destructive and malicious vibe coming from BlackGreymon was probably just messing with his head. No one really hears a voice in their head unless they're going insane, and that voice was practically speaking gibberish. What the hell even is that thing, Dark Digidestined? That voice was probably making up words, speaking nonsense, but he was sent to another world called the Digital World where he met a Digimon and has this strange device which BlackAgumon calls a Dark Digivice, so it is very likely that he was telling the truth.

"Tai?" Seeing Sora kneeled with her hands on her knees, Tai looked back up shocked. He realized that everyone had stopped at the moment he stopped. Biyomon was behind Sora glaring at him, probably mad that he stole Sora's attention, Joe who was holding Gomamon looked rather confused, Izzy and Tentomon were sitting down staring at the computer and not paying any attention and BlackAgumon was by his side wearing the same expression as Sora.

Standing upright, Sora asked, "Are you alright? You've been acting rather strange lately since BlackGreymon appeared."

"Yeah!" Tai attempted to laugh it off, waving his head. "It's probably just the woods messing with my head,"

This seemed to be a reasonable response to Sora as the girl shrugged and nodded. "Okay,"

They continued to walk, catching up with Joe, Gomamon, Izzy and Tentomon who were ahead. Biyomon jumped onto Sora, wrapping her feathers around her waist causing Sora to laugh.

"You sure you're okay?" Joe asked once they've caught up. "You know you can always talk to us,"

Tai smiled, grateful for their help. "I'm fine, really. I just need to get out of these woods."

Sharp pointy claws and long scaly black arms grasped Tai's arm, tugging it. Tai looked down to see BlackAgumon looking worried, his upper eyelids raised and his lower eyelids tensed up. Tai pats his head in an attempt for comfort but failed.

"You're not scared of me right?!" BlackAgumon fretted, his eyes watering. Tai bit his lip, his eyes widened. He tried not to show his fear but seemed to have failed. BlackAgumon failed to notice that it wasn't he who Tai was afraid of but instead of the voice in his head.

"What? No!" He exclaimed, kneeling and placing his hands on BlackAgumon shoulder's, the same pose he would take whenever Kari was feeling down or upset. He inwardly winced, missing his little sister so dearly.

"Why would I be afraid of you?" BlackAgumon looked down, his lips quivering.

"It's just ever since I digivolved to BlackGreymon, you've been acting very weird and scared."

'Digivolve? What does that mean...oh never mind! Ask later!'

"What?! No! It wasn't you!" Tai exclaimed, the dinosaur gazed up looking relieved.

"Really?!" BlackAgumon gasped and Tai nodded. "Totally! Besides, I think BlackGreymon is super cool! A giant black T-rex? What can be cooler than that?!"

BlackAgumon frown turned into a big smile.

"Nothing!" He exclaimed, jumping up. Tai chuckled, and he wrapped an arm around his shoulder. They ran up to the others who were surrounding Izzy and Tentomon.

"Why do you still have that thing?" Sora cringed watching Izzy and Tentomon examine the Vegiemon's loose vines. Izzy shrugged, twirling it into a ball. "It could be useful. We can use it as a rope or something,"

Sora gagged, taking a few steps away from them. "Ew! Why? Why do you want to use a dismembered arm?"

Izzy didn't listen, he just put the ball of vines into his bag. Biyomon seemed to be mad, he could see her eyelids lowered, her jaw clenched, she stared at him intensely.

"Hey!" She barked, causing everyone else around her to flinch. "You don't get to be mean to Sora like that!"

Sora laughed nervously. She pats Biyomon's head, trying to calm her down.

"It's fine, it's fine," The girl gulped, smoothing out Biyomon's pink feathers. "You don't need to get so agitated."

Biyomon let out a humph, crossing her arms and turning her head away annoyed. "Fine!"

The bird looked back at Sora and hugged her, purring softly. "But only because Sora said so!"

Izzy groaned. He didn't really know the other digimons except for Tentomon all that well, but Biyomon just seemed annoying. Standing up he nudged Tentomon, who looked at him confused.

"Is Biyomon always like that?" He inquired, the bug Digimon hummed in response. "Sort of. She has always been very clingy."

Swish! Joe gasped, a loud swishing sound coming from behind. He turned around, tightening his grip around Gomamon. He thankfully saw nothing, assuming it was just the wind blowing against the leaves.

"What's wrong Joe," Gomamon asked to which Joe responded by shuddering.

"Nothing," He assured, "I just thought I heard something,"

More rustling noises came from the tree, the leaves and trunk shaking. But there was no wind, he didn't feel anything.

Then to Joe's fear, the tree's cut in half and a giant green insect with one sickle replacing each hand burst through the trees.

"HEYAAAAA!" Joe shrieked, his heart pounding after every second. This insect swooped down and Joe jumped to the ground to dodge it. He saw the others bend or leapt down as well.

"What the hell was that?!" Tai cursed after standing back up. He held onto his goggles, that have slightly fallen off.

"Is everyone okay?" Sora asked snapping her head around while helping Biyomon and BlackAgumon to their feet.

"We're still alive," Izzy muttered, who was dusting off his pants. The insect Digimon took a u-turn and flew back down his wings humming. This time he seemed to aim for Tai, his sickles glowing purple.

"Twin Sickles!" His blades became blade-shaped shockwaves, each shockwave soaring towards Tai. Struck by fear Tai froze in place, his digivice glowing a rusty orange colour.

"BlackAgumon digivolve to...BlackGreymon!" BlackAgumon glowed a similar colour as the light-emitting from Tai's digivice and he digivolved into BlackGreymon.

BlackGreymon huddled around Tai, the rock-hard shell on his head deflecting the attack. Tai sighed in relief, more thankful than ever that BlackGreymon appeared.

'Digivolve..' Izzy thought, watching BlackGreymon roar and charge at the beetle. 'He said digivolve while becoming BlackGreymon, is that supposed to be a type of evolution?'

"Tentomon!" Izzy cried to his Digimon, who was right by his side immediately. "What is it, Izzy?"

"That Digimon," Izzy started, pointing to bug Digimon. "Who is he?"

Tentomon hummed, rubbing his chin with his claw. As if a lightbulb shined on top of Tentomon's head the insect Digimon's face brightened.

"He must be a Snimon!" Tentomon exclaimed sounding rather proud of himself. "I remember reading about him as a Motimon."

"Nova Blast!" BlackGreymon spewed out a large fireball, but the Snimon having the advantage of flight missed each flying higher in the sky. BlackGreymon snarled, already annoyed.

"That's it!" He growled taking a few steps back. "I'm jumping at him!"

Tai's eyes widened. Now that's not a good idea. Not only will he fall if he fails, but he was huge and heavy which probably makes it harder to jump.

"Uhhh I don't think that is a good idea!" Tai faltered sweatdropping. BlackGreymon grinned and laughed.

"Watch me!" BlackGreymon took a few more steps back and ran towards Snimon, then he took off, his feet pushing himself off the ground. He jumped high enough to reach Snimon, and the bug Digimon not expecting the jump didn't have enough time to dodge. BlackGreymon slammed against him, grasping his shoulders with his claws.

Both Digimons went tumbling down, and once they slammed against the now fallen and smashed trees, they wrestled it out. Snimon tried to escape BlackGreymon but BlackGreymon grabbed onto one of his arms and pulling him down. He rolled on top of him pinning him down.

BlackGreymon raised an arm and scratched Snimon's face, who was trying to wiggle his way out. BlackGreymon then dived down and chomped the green beetle's left shoulder. He shrieked, blood splurting out, blood splattering onto the dinosaur's teeth. Snimon raised a sickle and sliced the blue dinosaurs back. He winced in pain and Snimon took the advantage to push him off and fly in the air.

"Dammit!" BlackGreymon cursed, his three-clawed hand clenching his shoulder in pain. Tai ran up to him with worry.

"BlackGreymon!" He cried, placing a hand on the dinosaur's knee. "Are you okay?"

Nodding, BlackGreymon tried to stand up but winced. The pain intensified with every movement he made.

"This is bad," The dinosaur muttered, turning around to see his friends and their humans keeping their distance from the fight. They were hiding behind a tree in an attempt to defend themselves, the Digimon's in a fighting pose ready to protect their partners if needed.

He looked back at Snimon. He was still high in the air, the data fizzing on his bitten shoulder, the blood drying on his skin. Snimon faltered, his left arm dangling loosely from the damage of his shoulder. Yes, he was in a worse condition than BlackGreymon but he was still at a greater advantage. His wings weren't damaged so he could still fly and dodge his attacks. He would ask help from Tentomon and Biyomon, but they were just rookies and despite how much he hates Biyomon he can't let them die.

"Run!" He roared to the others, taking a few steps back. "I got this!"

"No way!" Gomamon exclaimed. "We won't leave you here!"

"Yeah!" Biyomon agreed. "I won't look like a coward being on the run!"

"I don't believe that is what Gomamon meant, Biyomon," Tentomon buzzed sweat dripping on his face.

"Just go! I can handle this!" BlackGreymon insisted. "Nova Blast!"

Tai watched as BlackGreymon blasted more black fireballs at Snimon who swiftly dodged them. Snimon used his right sickle and launched another shockwave which pushed BlackGreymon to the ground, a scar imprinted across his chest. Then he looked back at Sora and the others, who were staying still not daring to leave. He grits his teeth, it's not fair that BlackGreymon is hurting himself trying to protect everyone yet they won't leave to safety.

He ran up to them and grasped onto Sora's wrist rather harshly.

"Go," He demanded, his eyes darkening. Sora blinked, surprised but then she furrowed her eyebrows a bit mad.

"No," She argued, slipping her wrist out of his grip. "I'm not gonna leave you here alone!"

"I'm not alone, I'm with BlackGreymon."

"Then I'm not leaving the both of you!"

As Sora furiously fumed, her fist clenched. No way was she gonna let them stay here, BlackGreymon would be destroyed, and she absolutely couldn't just leave her best friend here to die!

But then she felt someone tugging her wrist, and she looked around to see Joe.

"What is it?" She asked slightly irritated. Joe nodded his head forwards, to where Izzy and the digimons were walking away leaving the forest-wait leaving the forest?!

"Where are you guys going?!" She shouted, pulling her hand out of Joe's grasp.

Izzy turned around and saw Sora shouting at them with her fist and jaw clenched. He laughed nervously, deciding it was better to retreat so he continued to walk away.

"Guys!"

Biyomon was the only one to come running back to Sora. She widened her wings and wrapped them around Sora's waist, snuggling her face into her shirt.

"I'm sorry Sora!" Biyomon apologized, and Sora scoffed, patting her head. "It's fine,"

"We need to go," Joe said once again grabbing Sora's wrist. "I know you don't want to leave Tai but we're defenceless! At least Tai has BlackGreymon!"

"But, but..." Sora stuttered looking between Tai and Joe. They both had a pleading look on her face and in defeat, she nodded.

Tai watched as Joe dragged Sora away and didn't look back until they were out of sight. He sighed. Good. They were safe.

"You ready BlackGreymon?!" Turning around Tai expected to see BlackGreymon ready to fight, not BlackAgumon bruised and batted laying unconscious on his stomach.

Tai bit his lip. 'Crap.'

TK sniffled, hugging Tsukaimon with one arm while the other was outstretched. Mimi grasped his stretched-out arm cleaning the nail polish off with the cotton ball soaked in acetone nail polish remover. Kari was by his side rubbing his back trying to comfort him.

"You know you don't have to do everything your brother tells you to do," Mimi said with a hmph, dabbing the cotton in more acetone. "He's a jerk,"

TK nodded, rubbing his eyes. "I know...I just don't want to make him feel sad,"

She rolled her eyes, throwing the used cotton ball away. "Doesn't mean he should make you feel sad. Look at you, you're crying your eyes out!"

TK didn't respond. He just whimpered and squeezed Tsukaimon tighter. Tsukaimon winced, biting his tongue to keep himself from crying out loud. TK didn't seem to notice that he was squeezing him too tight, but the devil-pig can see that this was making the poor boy feel better, so he kept his mouth shut.

Kari continued to rub TK's back, comforting him. Hearing footsteps, Kari turned around to see Matt and Psychemon both with armfuls of fruits.

"We got some food!" Psychemon beamed, unaware of the tight situation. Salamon and Aruraumon seemed as clueless as Psychemon, the puppy jumping off of Kari's lap and the plant digging her roots out of the soil.

"Finally!" Salamon mewled, her tongue flopped out of her mouth. "I'm so hungry!"

"Same!" Agreed Aruraumon, the plant licking her lips. Matt and Psychemon dropped the fruits and Aruraumon and Salamon started wolfing it down the second it touched the sand.

"Geez!" Matt sweatdropped, standing back in disgust. "Calm down!"

Psychemon also dived in, he grabbed a purple pineapple and stabbed it with his claws. Juice dripped onto his claws once he extracted them. He sucked onto his sticky claws, his eyes brightening.

Psychemon gasped staring at the delicious juicy fruit. "They taste...so good!"

Matt laughed, watching the wolf-lizard Digimon chomp down into the pineapple, eventually eating the rest in one whole. But then he felt a cold shiver run down his spine, the words of that voice echoing in his mind.

You don't need anyone! You never needed anyone!

Matt's eyes dimmed, memories of that dark conversation resurfacing. He has known that he doesn't need anyone throughout his life, but thing always changes, don't they? Everything changes, his parents splitting up was a big change, coming here was a big change too. Maybe he does need someone, anyone. Psychemon could be that someone, maybe even TK as well.

Smiling, he pushed the thoughts of that voice to the back of his head and he walked over to his brother and friends. He saw TK flinch, looking away, and saw Mimi fixating a glare at him. Kari seemed to avoid eye contact, and Tsukaimon looked at him as confused and naive as he always seemed to be.

Once he reached towards the others, he froze, not sure what to say. So he just settled with ruffling his brother's head, and TK looked up at him with teary and red eyes. He didn't apologize, what was the point of apologizing if he wouldn't mean it? In fact, he felt relieved when he saw the green nail polish cleared off of his brother's nails.

"Come on," He said smiling softly, "Let's eat."

As TK nodded, his brother gave him his hand, and the boy grasped it letting go of Tsukaimon, who flew towards the food. Kari decided to follow, not wanting to leave TK alone at the moment.

Mimi still sat there, annoyed and mad. He can't just come and pretended nothing had happened. He saw how upset TK was, he saw how excited he first was when he thought it was okay to have coloured nails, and then he saw his happiness turns to sadness seconds later.

Mimi hates it whenever little kids cry, she can't see younger children in pain or upset. Painful memories flooded back to Mimi and she clenched her jaw, cringing.

Her baby brother. Koto Tachikawa. The baby who already endured so much pain before he was even born. The baby that died before he was even born. And it was all because of her mother's greedy actions.

Sora hated what she was doing, absolutely hated it. Leaving Tai alone like that, what was wrong with her. Even if both Joe and Tai tried to convince her, she still hated that she listened.

Biyomon hated it too, but that is only because she can sense Sora's hatred. Whenever Sora's mad, she's mad. Biyomon will do whatever she can to please Sora, she loves her after all.

"I hate this!" Sora shrieked, the two boys flinching. She twirled around anger in her eyes.

"I hate how we have to stand here like sitting ducks while he waits for Tai to just..just..die!" She ranted, speaking-or more like yelling-everything out in her mind.

Joe sighed, pushing up his glasses. "Sora please calm do-"

"NO!" She raged, pointing a finger at the older boy. Joe brought up his hands as protection taking a few steps back. "I will be mad if I want to be mad!"

Matt, Mimi, their digimons and the younger two heard the outburst, snapping their heads around at where the noise and the squawking bird were coming from. Kari raised an eyebrow, the voice familiar.

"Sora?" She muttered under her breath. She stood up causing Salamon to jump.

"Wait!" Salamon yelled, running in front of Kari. "What if it is a Digimon? You might get hurt!"

Matt nodded, standing up and pulling Kari behind him by her wrist. "She's right," He agreed, "Stand back!"

"She sounds like my babysitter!" TK noted, taking a big bite into the green mango. "Funny!"

"Not funny," Mimi chimed in, patting the boy's leg. "Just weird,"

Gomamon, Biyomon, and Tentomon turned around hearing voices coming out of the forest. Tentomon buzzed, Gomamon snarled and Biyomon growled all in alarm.

"Do you guys hear that?" Biyomon asked, their partners not paying attention. Sora was still yelling at Joe and Izzy was too focused on his computer doing whatever.

"Yep!" Gomamon nodded. "Should we attack?"

"Only if we're careful!" Advised Tentomon. "We might be dealing with a bigger Digimon here!"

All nodding, they dashed out of the forest, their partners turning their heads confused.

"Biyomon!" Sora gasped, running after them. "Come back!"

"Gomamon!" Joe called out, grabbing the hem of Izzy's collar and dragging him with him while they follow Sora.

The bird, insect, and fish-type digimons ran until they saw a sandbank. They only saw eight blobs who seemed to be no bigger than them, so they decided to attack. They couldn't even notice that the four of them were humans and the other four were their hatch mates.

"Spiral Twister!"

"Super Shocker!"

"Water Current Ball!"

Psychemon, Salamon, Aruraumon and Tsukaimon all turned around and gasped. Hearing the attacks they knew that a Digimon appeared to fight and for the protection of their partner's they launched out an attack, not noticing who these digimons are.

"Coloured Sparkle!"

"Holy Shoot!"

"Friendly Fire!"

The colourful energy hit against the spiralling green fire, both attacks cancelling the other out. The ball of holy energy hit against the shockwave of electricity, both attacks cancelling the other out. And the ball of fire hit against the ball of water, both attacks cancelling each other out.

When the six attacks struck each other, the smoke faded away, and all seven digimons came out in a fighting stance ready to attack each other. Suddenly, the faces of their lost friends, the friends they had separated with to find their partner's appeared before them.

"Psychemon?" wondered Biyomon, with her wings over her mouth.

"Biyomon!" Psychemon beamed, opening his arms and squishing Biyomon. She cringed and tried to pull out of that hug, only wanting affection from Sora.

"Salamon...Tsukaimon...so nice to see ya..hahaha!" It was a little nerve-racking for Tentomon to see Salamon and Tsukaimon. He was mostly the victim of Salamon's murders and Tsukaimon's pranks, which makes being around their presence was rather unpleasant.

"Tentomon!" Tsukaimon and Salamon giggle mischievously, both running up to him. He wanted to escape but knew they were no point, so he hugged them back once the two jumped on him. It was fine until he felt Salamon's back teeth sink into his wings.

"EYYOJH!" Taking a few steps back, she clenched her mouth into his wings as he gulped. A few steps down and Splashed! his foot was splattered into a bucket of water, where Tsukaimon snickering beside it. Where did he even get it from?!

Aruruamon croaked when Gomamon leapt onto her, giggly enthusiastically. "Aruraumon!" Gomamon laughed, hugging her.

'Great,' She thought annoyed, 'Now I have to listen to his stupid jokes,'

"Guys!" Sora hissed, running out of the woods to the sandbank. "Serious-wow!"

Sora gasped, seeing the Digimon's hugging other Digimon's but also...humans?! Her pupils moved from left to right examining four other kids who looked as equally shocked as she was. There was a tall girl with long caramel hair and a taller boy with blonde spikey hair. Behind the boy were two smaller children who she has seen many times before...

"Hey!" The boy she babysits, TK, laughed, popping out from behind the taller blonde. "That is my babysitter!"

And the girl, with short brown hair and a whistle dangling from her neck, a girl she could never forget, eyes widened, her lips quivering.

"Sora!" She cried, running to her with opened arms. She hugged the taller girl's waist hard, burying her face in her shirt.

"Kari?" She gasped, kneeling and wrapping her arms around her back, her cheek squished against the younger girl's scalp.

"You know her?!" TK eagerly asked, jumping towards them. Kari pulled away, nodding. "Yeah, she and my big brother Tai are best friends."

"Sora!" A raspy and tired voice called out to her. She saw Joe jogging towards them, breathing in and out clearly out of breath. Not only was he skinny and lanky and is clearly out of shape, but he was also dragging Izzy along with him.

Joe was kneeling, his hands on his knees gasping for air. Pushing up his glasses, he gaped at the four other humans when his clear vision came back.

"M-more humans?!" Joe stuttered, walking towards the other humans like it was a dream. His hands were wandering until they grasped both of Matt's hands, who gave a more disgusted look. "Oh thank god! I thought we were the only ones!"

Mimi gagged, sticking out a tongue. "So annoying!" Quipped the girl, who nudged her plant partner who was finally free from Gomamon's cuddles. "Right?"

Aruraumon nodded, sticking her tongue out at Gomamon, who was too distracted by hugging Pyshcemon. "Totally!"

Izzy had finally broken his trance from his computer. He looked up to see four other kids and Digimons and blinked.

"More humans?" He asked dryly and unfazed. "Great, that means we can go back and help Tai."

Kari gasped and sprung her head around to look at Sora. "Tai?" She asked, searching Sora's eyes to see any confirmation. "Tai is here too?"

Sora looked at Kari sadly, like she failed her. Reluctantly, she nodded. There was no point in lying despite the desire Sora holds to protect her with lies.

"Yeah," Agonized Sora, "He is here too! But don't worry! He has a Digimon with him! Who can digivolve too!"

Kari nodded sadly, Sora's attempt to reassure her failing. "Okay,"

"What's a digivolve?" TK asked randomly, surprising Sora. He seemed unfazed and dismissive of his friend's feeling, or he just didn't understand what she is feeling.

"Digivolving is an evolution digimons go through to get to the next level!" Tsukaimon chirped ontop of TK's hat. "Like when Psychemon became Gururumon! He digivolved from the Rookie-level and became a Champion!"

TK beamed a large and wide smile. "No way! Like Pokemon?"

Tsuakimon's eyes squinted and he tilts his head. "What's Pokemon?"

The boy ignored his question, and grabbed onto Tsukaimon and started to spin him around. "So cool! I can't wait until you digivolve Tsukaimon!"

"Ahem!" Joe coughed into his clenched fist, getting everyone to stop what they're doing and pay attention. "I get that you all want to play and stay safe, but Tai's in danger and we have to help him!"

Kari whimpered, the thought of Tai in danger made her wanna cry out loud. Sora scowled, grasping on her shoulders for comfort.

"Right!" She nodded, agreeing with the elder. "We have more digimons to help fight, and three of you guys can fly! We have to rescue them!"

Everyone nodded agreeing with Sora, except for TK who seemed to be confused, and especially Matt who is keener on protecting himself and his brother.

"No," Matt decided, turning around. "You can do whatever you want but I'm not letting TK get hurt,"

TK whined, gripping the hem of his brother's shirt and pulling it down. He didn't know who this Tai was, but he really wanted to see what his Digimon will digivolve into! "But Matt!"

"No TK!" Matt yelled, pulling his brother's hand off of his shirt roughly. "You saw what happened with the Woodmons! There's no point in getting others hurt just to help one person!"

Sora gasped, furrowing her eyebrows. She rather roughly pushed Kari away, and Salamon stopped her from falling over.

"What did you say?" Sora almost growled. She walked up to Matt, her fist clenching. Matt looked at her, then scowled, looking away annoyed.

"You heard me!" Matt snapped. Kari from afar froze, she can sense the dark aura coming from Matt. She whimpered, backing away.

"So you're willing to let someone die?!" Sora accused, waving her arms angrily. "Just to protect yourself?!" She scoffed, squeezing her hands squeezing her hips. "What a coward!"

Matt blushed, seething. "And TK!"

She rolled her eyes and looked down to TK, who was hugging his Digimon, tears pricking his eyes.

"How the hell do you know him?!" She yelled at him, her anger taking control of her thoughts and actions. The boy flinched, backing away a bit.

"H-he's my brother," He muttered, scrunching his shoulders. Sora raised an eyebrow, surprised.

"That's Matt?" She snapped her head towards Matt, who was looking away, his cheeks tainted red and his fist clenched in his pockets.

Psychemon was at Matt's side, looking at him worriedly and confused. He grabbed Matt's arm to reassure him, but he only pulled his hand away.

Biyomon was mad, glaring at Matt. She wanted to shout at him, but not until Sora was done. She did not want to upset her even more by interrupting.

The other kids and Digimons stood far away from the argument. Mimi's and Joe's eyes were opened wide, but Izzy didn't pay much attention. Joe's hands were shaking, quivering, he wanted to charge in, to stop them, but the atmosphere held too much hatred. It wasn't one of those childish arguments he could deal with but instead about life or death, to flee or fight. He couldn't just charge right in.

Mimi bit her lip, staring at the orange-haired girl with much intensity. She had never seen nor met her before, which made her feel curious. They could've good friends, they are around the same age if she just wasn't so mean!

"Hey," She nudged the smaller boy beside her. The other one still gave her this nerdy vibe, and she did not want to be affected by it. "You know Sora, rig-wait a minute!"

Mimi gasped, getting a better look at the redhead. She knew who he was, that was Izzy the kid for her class. But, every time at school, he was the only one to get straight A's...maybe he was a nerd too? It is probably best to avoid him...

"What?" Izzy snapped, scowling. The girl flinched, before pouting at him.

"Nothing!" She muttered. "I was just gonna tell you that we're in the same class!"

Izzy blinked. "Really?" He asked, looking up at her. "I've never seen you before."

"Of course you don't!" She grunted, pouting. "You're always too focused on your stupid computer!"

Izzy shrugged, turning his attention back to his computer. He didn't deny it. He knew it was true. He doesn't even know his teacher's name.

Back to Sora, the girl examined Matt carefully, then looked back at TK, who scrunched up under her glare. They did have a lot of similarities, like their blonde hair and cerulean blue eyes. But Matt seemed colder, more annoying, while TK looks more childish and hopeful, except for now where he looks more sad and scared.

"You never told me he was so controlling!" She muttered, rolling her eyes. Matt growled and in anger, he walked up to her, gripped the hem of her shirt, and pulled her up a little.

"What did you say!" Matt dared, snarling at her. She scoffed, looking away. "I said you were controlling!"

It took all of Matt's strength not to punch Sora, he always knew it was wrong to hit anyone, especially a girl. Although unknown to him Sora wouldn't mind, she would've fought back, forgetting her hatred towards violence for the moment.

She hated them all, how could they just leave him like that without even caring, without even thinking about Tai? Without even thinking about her best friend who was always there for her? Her mother never gave a damn about her, and she wasn't going to make forget about the friend who was always there for her, a friend who spent more time with her than her own mother did.

In a rage of hatred, anger, loathe, and the desire to help Tai, her dark digivice glowed a garnet red light. The same light enveloped Biyomon, who was trying to get Matt off of her. Everyone gasped, gazing at Biyomon. Both Matt and Sora backed away, surprised. Kari blinked and Salamon kicked her paws, the frown on TK's face turned into a big smile.

"Is she digivolving?!" TK squealed, recalling the moment when Matt's anger against his friends made his device thingy glow and made Psychemon turn to Gururumon.
The answer was yes.

"Biyomon digivolve too..." Biyomon cried, her glowing body stretching out into a figure of a giant bird. "Saberdramon!"

Sora gaped, the newly evolved Saberdramon squawking, flapping her wings and soaring into the sky. She resembled a black phoenix, her wings covered in black flames, her protruding teeth are shaped long and sharp, her two feet containing five talons.

The blackbird flapped her wings, turning her head downwards to see her fellow friends and their humans smaller than before, all staring up at her in amazement.

"Sora!" She announced, causing everyone to flinch. "With my new wings, we can get to Tai and BlackGreymon faster,"

Sora's eyes widened. Tai! She can help him now! Not only did Biyomon make it to the next level, but her wings give her a better chance at fighting Snimon than BlackGreymon.

She nodded, the bird lowering down to the sand. "Let's go!"

She looked back at the others, who were still shocked and stuck in their chance of disbelief. She can see the relief from Kari, and the regret from Matt.

"I'm gonna go!" She stated, turning around. "We'll meet you guys back here!"

"Wait!" Before she can leave, a voice called out to her, She turned around, and saw Kari who was holding Salamon. "Take me with you!"

"Kari.." Sora sighed, kneeling to her height. Kari looked so determined, wanting to protect her brother like usual. But Sora knew it would be too dangerous, she can't bring Kari right into a battlefield. "I can't.."

The girl whined, hugging Sora before she can leave, Salamon yelping in pain getting stuck between the two. "Please, please, please! I promise I'll be good!"

The orange head groaned, pushing Kari's bangs behind her ears. "That's not it! I want to take you with me, I do, it's just I can't let you get hurt!"

"I won't be!" She promised, looking up at her. "I have Salamon with me!"

"Yeah!" The dog Digimon muttered, and Sora can feel her trying to wiggle free.

Sora cried out, she knew she wasn't gonna get out of this one. "Fine," She said. "Let's go!"

Kari cheered and ran onto Saberdramon's foot before Sora even stood up. She mounted on top of her other foot and ordered Saberdramon to move.

The bird flapped her wings, letting out a large gust of wind that blew the others off of their feet. Sora grasped onto Saberdramon's leg once they took off, and sighed in relief once she realized that Kari did the same and was safe.

'Finally!' She sighed, holding her hand against her heart. 'Just wait Tai, we'll save you!'

Tai grunted, his breathing uneven, his legs feeling weaker and weaker. He was on the run for like, thirty minutes now? He was very fit for his age, he plays a lot of soccer but was still very lazy. He got out of breath rather quickly, but with BlackAgumon rested on his back, he was slowed down and the weight weakening his legs.

"Twin Sickles!"

"GHYA!" Tai's eye's widened, and he leaped sideways, landing between some trees onto his side. He groaned in pain, BlackAgumon was still knocked out on his back. He saw some blade-shaped lights slash across the forest cutting some trees down.

Tai sighed in relief, he rolled BlackAgumon off of his back and laid him gently on his side.

"BlackAgumon...BlackAgumon..." He whispered, nudging his shoulders gently. "Come on buddy...I need you to digivolve!"

Clench! Tai froze hearing metal clashed against dirt beside. Slowly turning around, he felt Snimon's shadow loom over him, and once he laid eyes on the bug he saw Snimon towering over him, saliva dripping from his mouth.

Snimon raised his other arm, the blade shinning against the sunlight. Tai shut his eyes, waiting for the blade to slice against his flesh, cutting him into pieces.

'This is it,' Tai thought, tears threatening to leak from his eyes. 'I'm done! I'm never gonna go back home and I'll never get to see my parents, Miko...and Kari! Sweet little Kari! ' If only he could see her one last time.

Bam! Body slams against another body. Clench! Sharp talons clenching into Snimon's skin blood drying onto the talons. The bug shrieked, his body and blade lifting off of the dirt.

Tai whipped his head around, and to his relief, he didn't die. Instead, there was a black phoenix fighting the insect in the air. He saw something yellow on its foot but didn't mind what it was. As long as it was here to save him then Tai didn't care who it was.

"Onii-chan!" A sweet little voice all too familiar to Tai called out to him. He gasped and saw his little sister Kari, and a small beige puppy run up to him.

"Kari?" Tai exclaimed, the little girl giggling, jumping onto her brother, her arms wrapped around his waist and head buried into his shirt. "Tai!"

Okay, he did want to see his little sister one last time, but not here!

He pulled his sister out of her hug and knelt to her height placing his hands on her shoulder.

"Kari, what are you doing here?" Tai asked seriously, and the girl shook her head. Before she can answer a squeaky and light voice called out from Kari's little companion.

"Hi! I'm Salamon!" The puppy introduced giggling. Tai blinked, looking at the dog, and then at Kari, and then at BlackAgumon. Realization dawned against Tai.

"Wait! You're not like one of us, are you?" He asked confused and shocked confusing Kari in the process.

"What do you mean?" She asked but was cut off by a voice that was coming from above.

"Tai!' The voice yelled. He didn't know who it was, it did sound familiar, and she probably knows who he is, so he might know her. He squinted at the thing on the bird's leg to get a better view. This figure was still too blurry, but now he can see a hand waving and a blue bucket hat.

He gasped. "Sora?!"

Sora giggled, hugging onto Saberdramon's leg. Unexpectedly, Snimon bodyslammed Saberdramon. The bird groaned, and the girl gasped, cradling her partner's leg with her arm and legs to keep her secure and safe.

Snimon's attack sent her flying away a few feet, which gave him an opening to charge at Tai, Kari, Salamon and BlackAgumon. He dived down, pointing out his left blade.

"Kari, watch out!" The boy jumped over his sister, pushing her to the ground. She squealed, holding onto Salamon as she felt her brother hover over her, protecting his sister from the sharp blade.

But before Snimon could make his move, Saberdramon got herself steady and swooped down, her talons ready to attack.

"Black Saber!" Her talons clenched deep into Snimon's wings, diving him forwards into the ground, in front of Tai and Kari. Snimon squealed, his two blades getting dug deep into the ground. She then raised her wings and flapped them, shooting dark rings from them.

Snimon snarled, the dark rings hitting against his back. Saberdramon let go of him and flapping her wings flying up into the air by a few feet. Snimon took this opportunity to flee away, to save himself. After flying a few feet off the ground, he stopped. He tried to fly higher, but then he stopped unintentionally. That's when he realized that his blades were stuck into the ground, it was dug so deep that he couldn't take them out himself.

"Night Roar!" The Snimon shrieked, aware of his unbeatable death. He tried to get out, buzzing his wings faster and faster, pulling out harder, but he couldn't get himself out in time. He was stuck, and dozens of black feathers covered in black flames coming from Saberdramon's wings struck his back. More and more sharp feathers hit him until he started glitching, and he disappeared into small little data.

"Tai!" Sora laughed, running up to her best friend with Biyomon tailing behind her.

"Sora!" Tai beamed, opening his arms wide. Sora threw herself into his arms, and he twirled her around laughing.

"Thank god you're okay!" Sora sighed, taking a breath in. "I was so worried!"

Tai grinned, chuckling. "It's okay! I was okay all by myself!" He bragged.

Kari skipped up to them, smiling. She frowned when she heard her older brother's statement.

"But Tai!" She whined. "The bug was about to kill you!"

The older boy flinched, laughing nervously. Sora glared at Tai, if it wasn't for his interest in crime-fighting movies Kari wouldn't be saying these types of words.

"She's right," Added Salamon. "You're a loser, like BlackAgumon. No offence!"

"Offence Taken!" Tai grumbled, kicking the dirt with his shoes, looking down at the ground after hearing the insult coming for a puppy of all things. "You didn't have to call me a loser!"

"But you are one!" Biyomon huffed with jealousy making Tai grimace. "How dare you steal Sora's attention from me?!"

The bird smiled and hugged Sora's waist nuzzling her head on her shirt. Sora laughed, ignoring the fuming boy, curious girl, peppy dog and sleeping dinosaur.

Interesting how you're love for Tai and hatred towards the other Dark Digidestined is what brought you Saberdramon... Sora flinched, twisting her head towards the voice. She gasped seeing nothing but black and darkness, her friends and even Biyomon who was clinging onto her hip was gone. But that was wrong! Only hatred can bring you more power...

'Wait, what?' Sora's voice quavered, as she felt her heart beat faster and faster. 'What the hell is going on?!'

Doesn't matter! The voice boomed and Sora flinched at how loud and stern it sounds to her. What does matter is your love, it's useless! It wouldn't bring you any good!

'What are you talking about?!' Sora shook her head, her fingers gripping her hair tightly. She felt a strong dark aura flow around, an aura full of hatred and loathe.

The girl dropped to the ground, her head feeling dizzy. The voice ignored her question and continued its rant.

Perhaps it was a bad idea to give you a Biyomon The voice sighed and Sora's eyes widened. That gave her Biyomon? How? She was always too clingy, useless for the Child of Loathe

Sora groaned gritting her teeth, anger and hatred taking over once again. 'What are you going to with her?' She asked carefully, and if that voice had a face, she knew it was probably smirking.

Nothing, it's too late now It provoked, and suddenly the darkness started to slowly fade away. Just remember this Loathe, love will bring you nothing...

As everything began to clear away, the dark aura, the voice, Sora felt the presence of her friends coming back to her. She felt the soft feather from Biyomon's head tickle against her clothing, feathery arms strongly gripped around her hip.

"I love you so much Sora!" The girl gasped at her feathery friend's clearly obvious confession, and she pushed Biyomon off of her.

"No!" She screamed, shaking her head. Biyomon flinched, a look of hurt flashed across her face. Tai and Kari jumped, surprised at her sudden change in attitude.

"Sora?" Tai asked, walking up to her slowly. "Is everything okay?"

And then it hit him, did she hear a voice too? The voice that told him to cause destruction and chaos? Seeing her sudden shift in attitude, seeing how frightened she looks, reminds him back to when that voice took over Tai's head. He shuddered, adding a mental note to himself to ask her about it when they are alone later.

"Sora?" Biyomon sniffled, rubbing her teary eyes, her voice quavering. "Did I do something wrong?"

Sora heard the hurt in Biyomon's voice. She heaved snapping her eyes open. Looking down at the bird, she can see the sadness written all over the little one's face.

"Oh, I'm so sorry Biyomon!" She apologized snapping back to reality. "I just freaked out,"

The bird looked confused for a moment, hesitating on whether she should believe her or not. Suddenly, Sora felt nervous like this would change their friendship for good.

"Okay!" Biyomon beamed laughing, hugging Sora again. The girl let out a relieved sigh, hugging her back.

Arriving at a sandbank, Tai was surprised at how many more digimons and humans there were.

First up was TK, who he instantly recognized once Kari ran up to him calling out his name. He was a kid Sora babysits, and although he never saw him before, he did remember how intrigued Sora was by his unusual hair colour.

Next up was Mimi, who seemed nice at first until she started complaining about how he got her dress dirting by kicking some sand on it when he tried to introduce himself. Now she's just annoying and spoiled.

And finally, there is Matt, who he learned is an absolute jackass. He didn't say anything to him, he just ignored Tai and went off to TK who is apparently his brother. How the hell can an innocent kid like TK and a jerk like Matt could be related? And according to Sora, he was just gonna let him die too!

Their digimons seemed all right. Psychemon was nice enough until stupid Ishida told him to ignore Tai, to who he gladly listened too. Aruraumon was just straight-up mean, and Tsukaimon thought it would be fun to light his hair up on fire, literally.

"Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow!" Tai shrieked, patting his head with a towel, attempting to get the flames off. Sora by his side, dumping some water onto his hair. Thankfully, Tai's had so much hair that it didn't reach his scalp.

"Why would you do that, Tsukaimon?" BlackAgumon asked in a scolding manner, tapping his foot against the sand. The devil-pig shrugged, chuckling.

"It's a prank, silly!"

Now they all stood around the trees, their exit and entrance from the forest.

"Are you sure you want to burn the forest down?" That was what Tai had decided, to burn the forest down. According to Tentomon, this forest was property to BlackAgumon now, and he claimed that he'll do whatever Tai wants him to do.

Tai nodded to BlackAgumon, holding the stick with fire that was slowly burning the entire thing to charcoal.

"Yeah, there was so much crazy stuff that happened, like Monochromon..."

"Woodmon," Mimi chimed in, gagging.

"Snimon," Reminded Joe, shuddering.

'And that voice,' Both Tai and Sora thought simultaneously in their heads.

Sighing, Tai lowered the stick down, and BlackAgumon, Psychemon, Biyomon and Tsukaimon shot out their fire attacks.

"Pepper Breath!"

"Coloured Sparkle!"

"Spiral Twister!"

"Friendly Fire!"

All four attacks flared onto the trees, the flames quickly spreading from one tree to the next. The eight kids stood there, and watch the fire flare-up in silence until little TK spoke up.

"Wait, aren't there more digimons in there?" Silence enveloped them once more as they all began to process what TK had just said.

"Oh god!" Joe panicked, shaking his hands. "What if they were innocent?"

"This is your fault, Tai!' Mimi shrieked, gently pushing the older boy. "Me?!" He exclaimed gapping.

"I don't want anyone to die," Kari whimpered lowering her head. "Thanks a lot, TK."

The blonde frowned, confused. "For what?"

"It really doesn't matter," BlackAgumon started, "I mean it's not like we know them, who'll care about them?"

The other digimons and Matt nodded, agreeing with the black dinosaur, while the rest of the kids gasped, disagreeing with him.

"We care!" Sora squeaked, wailing her arms around. "We can't just let innocent digimons die! It's inhuman!"

"Well, it's not like we can do anything about it now!" Psychemon answered calmly. "It's too late!"

The kids all fell into silence, and so did the digimons. Until TK spoke up with some bad news...again.

"How are we supposed to get out of here now?" They all froze and looked around their surroundings. The flames had spread around the sandbank and their only exit was now burning to the ground.

"Oh god!' Joe shrieked, shaking his hands. "We're all gonna die!"

"We're gonna die?!" Mimi squealed gasping. She then pushed Tai gently again. "This is all your fault, Tai!"

"No, it's not!" He frantically said trying to defend himself but to no avail.

"I don't wanna die." Whimpered Kari, who hugged her knees. "Thanks a lot, TK."

The boy, still confused, tilted his head. "For what?"

"Hold on," Izzy said raising a hand. "I can figure this out!"

"How?" Sora asked gulping, playing with her fingers as a nervous habit.

"Let me just check my laptop,"

"We don't have time for that!" Fuming, Mimi kicked down his laptop. The redhead gasped, frantically picking up his laptop and checking for any damages.

Tai could feel a lightbulb light up once the most brilliant idea he had ever thought popped in his head.

"I know what to do!" He exclaimed proudly, everyone shutting up and turning their attention to him. "We can just use some water-PFFAHH!"

Something hard hit the side of his head, and he fell coughing. Looking up, he could see Matt towering over him angrily, his fist clenched. It was then Tai realized that he had been punched by this jackass.

"Hey!" Tai growled, glaring at him. Sora yelled an angered "Matt!" and Joe began to panic, even more, and TK winced, turning his head away and closing his eyes shut.

"Do you really think that would do anything?" Matt snapped, rolling his eyes. "There's too much fire!"

"So we are gonna die!" Joe freaked, and Mimi, without thinking, kicked him in the shins.

"Ow!" He moaned, falling to his knees hugging his bruised shin.

"Don't remind me that we're gonna die!" The girl shrieked, shaking her head furiously.

"I really don't wanna die," Kari repeated softly into her knees.

They all continued to panic, thinking that they were done for.

Until they saw Gomamon calling out to them, sitting on a raft of fishes.

Wow, this is a long chapter. So just to explain everything that went on, Sora's anger and hatred towards the others for leaving Tai there alone was what got Biyomon to digivolve into Saberdramon. Of course, I did do Saberdramon because I couldn't find any virus-type giant bird digimons that could actually fly in the sky.

So, I have hinted a bit of Mimi's and Sora's past. I wasn't going to add that part for Mimi, but I ended up doing so because I thought it would fit perfectly into that scene and how she is protective over little kids' feelings.

I hoped you all enjoyed the fight scenes, they were my favourite scenes to write, and I really enjoyed BlackGreymon chomping down on Snimon. I've also decided to add some sound effects because I find it easier to do that instead of explaining what they heard.

I'm gonna give this warning now but there will be a lot of blood and violence, which is why this is rated T, but not too much that it would go to the rated M section.

The team is also finally together, so yay! While writing this chapter, I wrote notes for the next couple of chapters and I am so excited to write them!

The next chapter is gonna be the kids on the sea, so of course, Gomamon will be the next one digivolving.
