Chapter 5: Search Gone Wrong: Part 2
(Information: Head for Eldin Bridge to get to Kakariko Village!)
Riku and Mickey begin moving through Hyrule Field to get to the west to get to Eldin Bridge and they go through the west direction of the field where they find a small bridge over a flowing river and they later go to the next area.
(Eldin Bridge)
Riku and Mickey leave Hyrule Field and arrive at a long bridge standing over a steep valley.
"Welp, here we are, Eldin Bridge. This'll take us straight to Kakariko Village." Mickey said.
"Then we'd better get moving and hurry to Death Mountain. We can't afford to waste any more time." Riku said.
The two begin crossing Eldin Bridge but then Mickey stops.
"What's wrong?" Riku asked.
"Didja hear somethin'?" Mickey asked and just then a sound is heard.
"Yeah, I'm starting to hear it too. You don't think it's the Heartless, do you?" Riku asked.
"I'm not sure, but we'd better be careful. Somethin's bound to show up." Mickey said and Riku nods.
Riku and Mickey continue to cross the bridge but then something flies over the bridge and it's a flying shadow dragon like figure.
"Huh?" Mickey asked.
"A Heartless?" Riku asked taking out Way to Dawn but the shadow figure shoots down fireballs at the two who dodge.
"We can't let that thing stop us!" Mickey said.
"Right. We gotta make a run for it!" Riku said as the two start running as the shadow figure keeps shooting fireballs.
(Information: Hurry through Eldin Bridge while dodging the figure's attacks!)
Riku and Mickey run through Eldin Bridge while dodging more fireballs from the shadow figure but as the two keep running through the bridge the shadow figure shoots down a giant fireball at the bridge creating a giant hole in front but Riku and Mikey jump over the hole to reach the other side of the bridge and keep moving only for the shadow figure to shoot down more fireballs but Riku quickly conjures a dark barrier to block off the raining fireballs and keep running through Eldin Bridge but the shadow figure shhots down another giant fireball to create another hole on the bridge only for the two to get past and near the end of Eldin Bridge and reach the end of the bridge while the flying shadow figure flies off.
Riku and Mickey leave Eldin Bridge and arrive at a plain area.
"That was close." Mickey said.
"Just what was that anyway?" Riku asked.
"Welp, I'm not sure, but I have a feelin' we haven't seen the last of it just yet. It could come back at any second." Mickey said.
"Yeah, but we'll be ready for it. Anyway, we should be close to Kakariko Village, so..." Riku stops talking as he sees smoke in the air.
"Smoke?" Mickey asked.
"That could mean something's burning!" Riku said.
"C'mon!" Mickey said as they start moving.
(Hyrule Plains)
(Information: Hurry for the source of the smoke!)
Riku and Mikey begin moving through the plains of Hyrule to reach the smoke and later they arrive at a sign that says 'Kakariko Village' and so they continue to get to the smoke and they later arrive at a different place.
(Kakariko Village-Gates)
Riku and Mickey arrive at a gate area leading to a village and they get close to the smoke.
"If we're close to Kakariko Village as well as the smoke..." Mickey stops talking.
"We gotta do something." Riku said and Mickey nods and they hurry through the gates to get to the village.
(Kakariko Village-Village Grounds)
Riku and Mickey arrive at Kakariko Village with many houses and small buildings such as shops as well as some green grass and dirt but they find the whole village engulfed in flames with many people of the village running in terror and screaming.
"This is terrible!" Mickey said.
"Why is this happening?" Riku asked.
"Yes, that's right! Burn the whole village to the ground! Then we strike Death Mountain! Let the village know that the Grimm are the most feared!" A voice said and Riku and Mickey turn to see what looks like a black furred wolf wearing a purple and red outfit with a big X, dark orange pants with two zippers, purple clawed gauntlets, and dark grey armor.
"Who is that?" Riku asked.
"Wait a minute!" Mickey said confronting the wolf. "What are you doin'?" Mickey asked.
"Hmm, what's it look like? I'm burning this worthless village to the ground to show the superiority of the Grimm! Then we'll strike Death Mountain and take care of those pesky rock eaters! And once we have all the Triforce pieces, the Grimm'll finally take over Hyrule AND all worlds!" The wolf said.
"The Grimm?! You're also after the Triforce?!" Mickey asked.
"I don't see why I'm wasting my time with you! Beat it! I'm busy!" The wolf said.
"I won't let you have your way!" Mickey said pointing his Keyblade.
"Oh, really?" The wolf said turning to the King and showing his face but is shocked to see Mickey. "What?! You?!" The wolf asked shocked.
"Zeke Midas Wolf?!" Mickey asked shocked.
"So, she was right! You really ARE here!" Zeke said.
"But HOW are you here?!" Mickey asked.
"Mickey, you know him?" Riku asked.
"Yes. This is Zeke Midas Wolf, just like Pete, he's been causin' nothin' but trouble, especially on the poor three pigs! I had to banish him away to a different dimension, but how is it that you escaped?" Mickey asked.
"It was the power of darkness, of course!" Zeke said.
"And what is this Grimm? Is this a new group Maleficent created?" Riku asked.
"What? Don't be ridiculous! I'm working for that witch unlike that fatso! I'm on the winning side! Very soon, you'll know the power of the Grimm!" Zeke said.
"Enough! You're terrorizin' innocent people and this needs to stop! Clearly, like Pete, your banishment taught you nothin'!" Mickey said.
"Oh, you have a problem what I do? I know he said he has plans for you, I'm just ITCHING for revenge!" Zeke said.
Grimm Warrior
Zeke Midas Wolf
(Boss Theme: Squirming Evil)
(Information: Stop Zeke!)
Zeke begins attacking with his claws and then delivers a thrusting claw strike but Riku delivers three attacks with Way to Dawn followed by a somersaulting slash while Mickey attacks with Kingdom Key D followed by a spinning attack and then casts Pearl but Zeke backs off and then delivers a spinning claw attack at Mickey who dodges the spinning claw and casts Water to attack Zeke while Riku casts Dark Firaga dealing damage to Zeke who retaliates with attacking with his claws two times and then delivers a flipping claw attack but Riku conjures a dark barrier to block off the claw attack allowing Mickey to attack the wolf with Kingdom Key D and then casts Faith but Zeke delivers a thrusting attack with his claws only for Riku to deliver four attacks with Way to Dawn followed by Shadowbreaker while Mickey casts two Pearls but Zeke retaliates with his spinning claw attack all around to try and attack the two but Mickey casts Stop freezing Zeke allowing Riku to attack with Way to Dawn followed spinning slashes and then delivers a diagonal slash knocking Zeke back.
"Okay, time to get serious!" Zeke said as he delivers a blowing attack to blow Riku and Mickey back. "I'm gonna huff, puff, and blow you two away!" Zeke said.
"Look out, he's not called Big Bad Wolf for nothin'." Mickey said.
"Yeah, too bad he's not much a threat." Riku said.
Zeke tries to blow the two away again only for Mickey to deliver three attacks with Kingdom Key D followed by casting Water while Riku delivers four attacks with Way to Dawn followed by a spin slash but Zeke backs off and then triple attacks with his claws followed by a dashing claw attack to try and get the two only for Riku to dash attack at Zeke and then delivers three attacks with Way to Dawn followed by a diagonal slash while Mickey spin attacks with Kingdom Key D but Zeke retaliates with a somersault claw attack but Riku casts a dark barrier to block off the somersault claw attack allowing Mickey to fire three Pearls and then unleashes three fireballs to do damage on Zeke who retaliates with blowing the two away again and then dashes over to attack with both claws but Riku blocks and then counters and attacks with Way to Dawn followed by a somersault slash and then casts Dark Firaga while Mickey casts Faith followed by casting Balloon making Zeke angry and moves around spinning and attacking with his claws and then delivers a thrusting claw attack but Mickey delivers two spinning attacks with Kingdom Key followed by a flipping slash while Riku attacks with Way to Dawn followed by using Dark Dive and they finish off Zeke who falls to the ground.
"Time to answer for your crimes, Zeke!" Mickey said.
"Oh, don't get all high and mighty, 'Your Majesty'. Just remember this; you're dealing with the power of the Grimm!" Zeke said as he disappears in dark smoke.
"We have to stop the village from burning." Riku said.
"Right! No doubt Heartless are causin' all this. Let's get to work!" Mickey said.
(Battle Theme: Kakariko in Flames)
(Information: Protect Kakariko Village from burning!)
Riku and Mickey begin moving through Kakariko Village to rescue the people while also fighting off enemies such as Flame Core Heartless and Lizalfos and Mickey uses Water magic to get rid of the flames burning the houses and small buildings and they continue to move to help Kakariko and Riku fights off more Flame Core Heartless and Red Poes while Mickey continues to get rid of the flames while helping more inhabitants of the village but as the two keep defending the village more Flame Cores appear as well as Dinolfos but Riku fights off the enemies while Mickey handles with getting rid of the flames and helping more villagers and later all the enemies are defeated and all the flames burning Kakariko Village are all gone.
The village is rid of flames as most of the shops and houses while burnt are not destroyed completely and some smoke remains while the villagers begin working to rebuild the village.
(Field Theme: Kakariko Village)
"Welp, we helped as much as we could and we stopped the burnin'." Mickey said.
"Did Zeke mention about going to Death Mountain next?" Riku asked.
"Yep and I think they're gonna cause the Gorons trouble. We gotta hurry!" Mickey said.
"Okay. Let's start moving." Riku said.
Riku and Mickey begin moving through Kakariko Village to find the gate leading to Death Mountain and after going through the village they find a gate and a Hylian guard.
"Halt! You're about to head for Death Mountain! It's been very dangerous lately. I cannot let you pass." The Hylian guard said.
"But Impa told us to get to Death Mountain. It's very important." Mickey said.
"Impa? General Impa tasked you to go Death Mountain? You're sure?" The Hylian guard asked.
"Yes. She wants us to go to Death Mountain to meet with the Gorons." Riku said.
"Hmm, if that's true, then I suppose it's okay, but then again, ever since that dragon creature and those weird monsters appeared, the path to Death Mountain has been unsafe. Are you sure you can handle it?" The Hylian guard asked.
"Yes, we're expert swordsmen and we can defend ourselves." Riku said.
"Yep. Please, we REALLY need to get to Death Mountain." Mickey said.
"Very well. I'll allow it, but don't say I didn't warn you. If anything goes wrong, you're welcome to return here. Despite the recent incident, Kakariko is known to be safe." The Hylain guard said opening the gate. "There you go, be careful." The Hylian guard said.
"Thanks." Riku said as they go for the gate.
"Like I said, lately, there's that dragon like creature. I don't know what that thing is or where it's from, but I know for a fact it's dangerous. Just watch yourselves." The Hylian guard said.
"Got it." Riku said.
"We'll be careful and come back safe." Mickey said as they go through the gate and leave Kakariko Village.
(Field Theme: Death Mountain)
(Death Mountain-Lower Moutain)
Riku and Mickey arrive at a rocky terrain region with dead trees.
"Okay, we're here, Death Mountain. Goron City should be just ahead." Mickey said.
"You think Princess Zelda might be here?" Riku asked.
"It's a good possibility. The Gorons have been known to be good friends with the Royal Family. All we gotta do is get to Goron City and meet with their chief." Mickey said.
"You think they can help?" Riku asked.
"The Gorons may be rock like creatures, but they're not bad people. I'm sure once we meet 'em, they might be able to help." Mickey said.
(Information: Climb Death Mountain and reach Goron City!)
Riku and Mickey begin moving through the lower section of Death Mountain but then they see rocks falling through the mountain making the two dodge the falling rocks and continue moving through the lower section but then Earth Core Heartless appear and attack but the two quickly defeat them and keep climbing the lower section unteil they reach the next part of Death Mountain.
(Death Mountain-Middle Section)
Riku and Mickey arrive at the middle section of Death Mountain and continue climbing to find Goron City while dodging more falling rocks and later they find a sign that says 'Goron City, Home of the Gorons' and they also find a small cave entrance and so they go into the cave.
(Field Theme: Goron City)
(Goron City-Goron Domain)
Riku and Mickey enter the cave and find themselves in a big rocky cave territory with a giant Goron rock statue.
"Welp, we're here." Mickey said.
"Yeah, where is everyone?" Riku asked.
"Hmm...maybe we should talk to the chief." Mickey said.
(Information: Find the Goron Chief!)
Riku and Mickey begin moving through Goron City and they go for the lower section of the cave city and they find a hanging cloth and so they open it leading them to a room.
(Goron City-Chief's Chamber)
Riku and Mickey enter the chamber of the Goron Chief only to find it empty.
"Gosh, the chief's not here?" Mickey asked.
"This is concerning." Riku said as they leave the chamber.
As Riku and Mickey search Goron City for anything they find something rolling around and so Riku plants a bomb on the ground making the rolling thng stop rolling revealing to be a small yellow rock like creature.
"A Goron!" Mickey said.
"There's only one here?" Riku asked.
"Owww... That hurt..." The small Goron said.
"Hey." Riku said.
"Huh? Who're you guys?" The small Goron asked.
"Riku and this is Mickey. We cam here to get some help from the Gorons, but nobody seems to be here, but you." Riku said.
"Do ya know where they are?" Mickey asked.
"Oh, um... They're all gone, even my daddy, Chief Daroma!" The small Goron said.
"The chief's your father? Where have they gone?" Mickey asked.
"Those weird things showed up and took them away. They were ordered by a dragon like monster. My daddy tried to protect us, but the dragon took him away and now they're being taken to the Goron Mines." The small Goron said.
"Do you know where the Goron Mines are?" Riku asked.
"Yeah, at the top of Death Mountain itself, but it's really dangerous." The small Goron said.
"Riku." Mickey said.
"Yeah, we better get going." Riku said.
"You're actually going to the Goron Mines? But there're monsters and there's that dragon monster." The small Goron said.
"It's okay. We can handle it. We'll go to the Goron Mines and get the Gorons back and your father." Riku said.
"Just make sure you stay here where it's safe. I promise, we'll bring the Gorons back." Mickey said as they leave Goron City.
Riku and Mickey return outside.
"Gorons taken to the Goron Mines at the top of the mountain." Mickey said.
"Looks like we're in for serious climbing and mine exploration. Also, what's with the whole dragon monster?" Riku asked.
"Not sure. Maybe it was that thing that attacked us at Eldin Bridge." Mickey said.
"Whatever it is, we'll have to be extra careful now." Riku said.
"Yeah, but I'm sure we can do it." Mickey said.
(Information: Climb to the top of Death Mountain and go to Goron Mines!)
Riku and Mickey begin climbing Death Mountain's middle section to get to the upper section to find Goron Mines and they find a ladder and so they climb up the ladder taking them upward but then they run into Red Nocturne Heartless, Air Soldier Heartless, and Soldier Heartless appear and attack the two but Riku attacks with Way to Dawn followed by casting Thunder while Mickey casts Pearl and then casts Fantasia and they defeat the Heartless and keep climbing Death Mountain and they come across a rocky ledge and so they jump to reach the other side and keep moving and they continue to climb the mountain but they see more falling rocks coming down and so they avoid the falling rocks and keep climbing but as they continue to move many Soldier Heartless appear surround the two.
"Here we go again." Riku said taking out Way to Dawn.
"We gotta take 'em out and keep movin'." Mickey said.
Before the Heartless can attack a muscial sound is playing.
"Huh?" Mickey asked.
"What's going on?" Riku asked.
The Heartless continue to try and attack but then Deku Nuts drop and flash creating a blind light making Riku and Mickey cover themselves from the light and then a shadow figure attacks the Soldiers with great speed and the Soldiers are all defeated.
"What just happened?" Riku asked.
"I happened." A voice said and the shadow figure reveals to be a young figure with some blond hair tied to a braid and covering the left eye, wearing a blue and white outfit with the Sheikah symbol, a white mask and turban covering the face, white scarf, and red eyes. "I'm glad we have a chance to meet." The figure said.
"Who are you and what are you doing here?" Riku asked.
(Theme: Sheik's Theme)
"My name is Sheik, it's a name that comes from the Sheikah, the servants of the Royal Family. As for what I'm doing here, I followed you here. I found you two at Kakariko Village and decided to follow you." Sheik said.
"Why are you following us?" Riku asked pointing his Keyblade.
"I am not looking for any sort of fight, I assure you. It's same reason where you're going; to the Goron Mines to help the Gorons. I, too, know they have been taken, as well as their chief, Daroma." Sheik said.
"Well, that's great and all, but is there a reason?" Riku asked.
"The Gorons are allies to the Royal Family of Hyrule. They must be saved from a terrible fate." Sheik said.
"You said you're from the Sheikah? I'm sure that's where Impa's from. Do you know Princess Zelda?" Mickey asked.
"Of course. And I am also aware you are searching for her. Fear not, for she is not dead. You will see her again in due time." Sheik said.
"Fine and since you said you're looking to help the Gorons, I guess you'll be wanting to join us or something?" Riku asked.
"Great minds think alike, do they not? Yes, I suggest we work together to save the Gorons. I understand your distrust, as we've just met, but if I was your enemy, I would have allowed the Heartless to kill you." Sheik said.
"True, but you would have also gained our trust and probably betray us in right time, correct?" Mickey asked.
"You have a perceptive mind, but fear not, I am not your enemy. I, too, look to restore the peace to Hyrule." Sheik said.
"Alright, Sheik, let's join forces." Mickey said.
"Okay, but I have my eye on you." Riku said.
"Fair enough. Shall we?" Sheik asked.
(Party in: Sheik)
The trio continue their way through Death Mountain's middle section and they find a bridge and cross it but then Air Soldiers appear and attack but Riku aerial slashes with Way to Dawn followed by an aerial spin attack while Mickey aerial slashes with Kingdom Key D while Sheik aerial attacks with kunais followed by throwing needles and they defeat the Heartless and they keep climbing the mountain and later reach the next area of the mountain.
(Death Mountain-Upper Section)
Riku, Mickey, and Sheik arrive at the upper section of Death Mountain and make their way for the Goron Mines while dodging more falling rocks and they come across a ledge and so they use the rock walls to traverse through the ledge to reach the other side of the mountain and they find a rocky ramp and climb up taking them to what looks like a cave with a lift.
"This is it. This will take us to the Goron Mines." Sheik said.
"There's no time to lose! We gotta get in there." Mickey said and they nod.
The trio get on the lift and use it to take them down into the underground cave.
(Field Theme: Goron Mines)
(Goron Mines-Underground Entrance)
The lift brings Riku, Mickey, and Sheik down underground and into the mines full of rocks and crystals.
"So, we're in the Goron Mines." Riku said.
"Yes and now we must find and rescue the Gorons." Sheik said.
"This place seems big and dark. We better tread carefully." Mickey said.
(Information: Find and save the missing Gorons!)
The trio start moving through the mines to find the kidnapped Gorons and they find what looks lik a rocky platform where they find a Goron.
"You must be one of the missin' Gorons." Mickey said.
"Huh? Who are you? Did you come to save me?" The first Goron asked.
"Yeah, you'll be safer when you return to Goron City." Riku said.
"Oh, thanks a lot! Listen, that dragon monster's really insane! He has to be stopped! He controls those weird monsters and is holding Big Brother Daroma captive! Please, you gotta save the other brothers!" The first Goron said leaving.
The trio continue moving through the Goron Mines to find more missing Gorons while dealing with Heartless and other monsters such as Lizalfos and Skulltulas and as they keep moving through the mines they find another rocky platform where they find another Goron.
"It's okay. You're safe now." Sheik said.
"Wow, thanks for comin' to help me! I thought I was goonna be trapped here forever! Still, I'm worried about Big Brother Daroma. I hope you find him too. Also, be careful with that dragon guy. He's the one, who took us here. Hope you find the other brothers!" The second Goron said leaving.
The trio continue to find the rest of the missing Gorons but then Earth Core Heartless appear but Riku casts Dark Firafa while Mickey casts Pearl while Sheik throws Deku Nuts to stun and then uses Chain and whips with it defeating the Heartless and they continue through the underground entrance and they find what looks like a cracked wall and so Riku takes out a bomb and uses it to blow up the cracked wall allowing an opening and they find another Goron.
"Are you okay?" Mickey asked.
"I think so. Being trapped in there was not fun." The third Goron said.
"Well, fear no further because you can go home." Sheik said.
"Thanks a lot! Just don't forget to free Chief Daroma! He's our big brother and his son's really worried!" The third Goron said.
"Don't worry, we'll free him when we find him." Riku said.
"Also, do ya know what that dragon monster looks like?" Mickey asked.
"Um, I think he's big, purple and has yellow wings, and he looks really scary. You guys look braver than me. Just be careful, the mines can be dangerous." The third Goron said leaving.
The trio keep moving through the Gorin Mines to find the remaining missing Gorons and they later go to a different area of the mines.
(Goron Mines-Mine Tracks)
The trio arrive at the mine tracks of the mines where they see mine cart tracks as well as mine carts moving and so they continue searching for more missing Gorons but then Dinolfos appear and attack with their swords but Riku conjures a dark barrier and then vertical slashes with Way to Dawn followed by Shadowbreaker while Mickey double attacks with Kingdom Key D and then casts Balloon while Sheik multi jabs followed by Bouncing Fish and delivers a leaping attack and they defeat the Dinolfos and keep moving through the mines while using the cart tracks while avoiding the mine carts and they find something hiding in a small cave and it's another Goron.
"It's fine. You can come out." Riku said.
"But what if there are more monsters?" The fourth Goron asked.
"Don'tcha worry. We'll take care of 'em! You oughta head on back to Goron City." Mickey said.
"Okay. I've been wanting to get home, but I was scared to leave by myself, but thanks to you guys, I think I'll be okay!" The fourth Goron said leaving.
The trio keep moving through the cart tracks area while dodging more mine carts and dealing with more Heartless and monsters and they use the cart tracks to take them to a different area of the mines.
(Goron Mines-Crystal Field)
The trio are now in an area full of crystals blocking the path and so Riku attacks the crystals to open the way and as they keep moving through the crystal field they another Goron hiding among the crystals.
"Wow, you guys came all this way for me?" The fifth Goron asked.
"Of course." Sheik said.
"Don't worry, we'll also find Cheif Daroma and get him back safe." Mickey said.
"Thanks a lot! Also, I think the dragon's gettin' really mad! Watch out for him." The fifth Goron said.
"We'll handle him. You just focus on getting back to Goron City safe." Riku said.
"I will! Thanks again!" The fifth Goron said leaving.
The trio keep moving through the crystal field and Riku and Mickey take out more crystals to clear the way and after going through the crystal field they find another Goron next to a pool of lava.
"Don't worry. We'll get you out of here." Sheik said.
"Thanks. It's really hot in here." The sixth Goron said.
"Everyone else are headin' back to Goron City. You should do the same." Mickey said.
"Thanks, I will. I'm still worried about Big Brother Daroma." The sixth Goron said.
"We're gonna save him too." Riku said.
"Great! In the meantime, I'll make sure Daroma Jr.'s okay. He's really worried about his dad." The sixth Goron said leaving.
The trio move through the crystal field and they later head for the next area of the mines.
(Goron Mines-Molten Grounds)
The trio arrive at molten grounds and lava flowing around and so as they reach a pool of lava it erupts blocking the path but Mickey casts a spell to send it back down and they keep going but more Lizalfos appear and attack but Sheik uses Deku Nuts to stun then allowing Riku and Mickey to finish them and they keep going through the molten grounds where they find another cart track and use it to get across but they find lava below so they cross it without falling off and they reach the other side but they find more lava erupting and blocking the way but Mickey makes the lava go back down again and they find rock walls between and lava below and so Sheik uses Vanish to get across while Riku and Mickey run across the walls to avoid the lava and reach other side and they arrive at an area where they come across a giant pool of lava with a giant molten platform in the middle and they find someone in a hanging cage and it's a big Goron with white hair and beard, light yellow markings, and white loincloth.
"That must be him, Chief Daroma." Sheik said.
"Hmm, hey, you guys made it across the mines to come and save me?" Daroma asked.
"Yep and we've saved the other Gorons too." Mickey said.
"Wow, you guys are pretty brave! Thanks a bunch!" Daroma said.
"Just hang tight and we'll get you out." Riku said.
Just then something grabs Riku and takes him into the air.
"Riku!" Mickey cried.
"What?" Sheik asked.
Riku is taken by the same flying shadow figure.
"You?!" Riku asked.
"I'm impressed you managed to survive on that bridge and I expected Zeke to get rid of you in that village, but he was just too incompetent on that task! So, I'll take it on myself to get rid of YOU!" The shadow figure said pushing Riku against the rock wall and then drags Riku across the rock wall. "Then, I'll devour you and that rock-eating chief!" The shadow figure said.
"We gotta do somethin', Sheik!" Mickey said.
"Hang on." Sheik said using Vanish and reappears above the shadow figure and delivers a diving strike with kunais on the figure's back making him roar.
"My turn! THUNDAGA!" Mickey shouted unleashing a lightning bolt striking the figure making him fall while dropping Riku but Sheik grabs him and they land back on the platform.
The figure lands on the platform as well revealing to be what looks like a big purple dragon like creature with yellow wings, yellow eyes, white claws, and a sharp tail.
"You okay, Riku?" Mickey asked.
"Thanks, Mickey. You too, Sheik." Riku said.
"Don't thank us yet." Sheik said and turns to the dragon creature. "So, you're the dragon creature that took the Gorons. State your name!" Sheik said.
"I am Ridley, member of the Grimm and YOU are my next meal!" Ridley roared.

Ridley flies around while shooting down fireballs at the trio but Riku casts a dark barrier to protect himself, Mickey, and Sheik and then casts Dark Firaga while Mickey casts Pearl while Sheik throws needles only for Ridley to keep flying around and then delivers a flying charge attack but the trio dodge the charge attack and Sheik takes out the chain and uses it to grab Ridley's tail and Sheik begins pulling Ridley's tail taking Ridley down with Riku and Mickey helping with the pulling and they manage to bring Ridley down to the molten platform allowing Riku to attack with Way to Dawn followed by two diagonal slashes and then uses Dark Dive and delivers four dive attacks followed by a final dive attack unleashing dark pillars while Mickey delivers two attacks with Kingdom Key D followed by a flipping slash and then casts Faith while Sheik attacks with kunais followed by a multi jab attack and then uses Bouncing Fish but Ridley retaliates with attacking with his claws followed by a tail spin attack but Mickey casts two Pearls while Sheik throws two Deku Grenades and creates an explosion but Ridley delivers a giant bite attack and then multi strikes with his tail only for Riku to grab the tail and then casts Blizzard getting Ridley.
Ridley flies back into the air and then tries to land on the trio who dodge out of the way but Ridley flies again and charges a giant plasma ball and shoots it at the trio who dodge but the molten platform begins to break apart and Ridley prepares to fire another giant plasma attack only for Mickey to cast Fantasia while Riku unleashes a giant Dark Firaga and throws it into the air which bursts and rains down smaller Dark Firagas at Ridley and both Riku's and Mickey's attacks deliver great damage to Ridley allowing Sheik to use the chain to grab the tail again and starts pulling Ridley back onto the molten platform but Ridley attacks with his claws and then delivers a giant bite attack only for Riku to conjure another dark barrier and unleashes a powerful counter blast stunning Ridley allowing Mickey to aerial slash with Kingdom Key followed by casting Faith and unleashes a powerful light attack while Sheik slashes with kunais followed by a handstand spin kick attack but Ridley retaliates with a spinning tail attack to try and knock back the trio who remain on the platform and Riku aerial slashes at Ridley's face with Way to Dawn followed by an aerial spin attack and then delivers an aerial somersault strike while Mickey fires three Pearls to deal great damage.
Ridley roars in rage and then shoots small fireballs at the trio only for Sheik to counter with throwing Deku Grenades which explode on the fireballs creating smoke and Sheik delivers a multi lash attack with the chain followed by Bouncing Fish while Riku delivers horiztonal slashes with Way to Dawn followed by Shadowbreaker but Ridley strikes back with a big bite at the two who move but Ridley attacks Riku with his claw and then delivers an impaling strike at Sheik with his tail but Mickey casts Cure on the two and then casts Balloon to strike Ridley and then delivers three attacks with Kingdom Key D but Ridley grabs Mickey and is about to bite the King only for Riku to quickly strike Ridley's arm making Ridley roar in pain while letting go of Mickey who casts Thundaga again shocking Ridley while Sheik throws many needles at Ridley who retaliates with attacking with his claws and then tries too impale with his tail only for Riku to strike at the tail making Ridley roar in rage and flies into the air again but Riku and Sheik with Ridley's tail and then climb onto his back and Riku and Sheik begin attacking Ridley's back making Ridley try to attack with his tail but Riku thrusts his Keyblade onto the back while Sheik thrusts a kunai onto the back as well sending Ridley crashing down back onto the molten platform and while Ridley's stunned Riku and Mickey strike with their Keyblades while Sheik delivers multi kicks but Ridley recovers and shoots a giant fireball at the two only for Mickey to cast Reflect to send then giant fireball right back at Ridley stunning him allowing Riku and Sheik to charge and deliver a cross attack finishing off Ridley who roars in rage.
Ridley shoots many fireballs all over the area and his fireblls also hit the mines' ceiling causing many rocks to fall into the lava.
"Give it up, Ridley!" Mickey said.
"You don't have a chance." Riku said.
"Fools! You haven't won! Besides, you haven't saved the chief yet and he's going to have a nice hot dip!" Ridley said flying off. "Beware the power of the Grimm!" Ridley said flying out of the mines.
"Oh, no...!" Sheik said seeing Daroma's cage swinging as the ceiling's rocks keep falling.
"Hang on!" Riku said as they go for the cage and Sheik does the same.
Riku jumps high to reach the swinging cage while Sheik uses Vanish to reach the cage as well.
"Watch it, guys! We'll all fall if we don't make it!" Daroma said.
"We're not about to let you fall your death, Chief!" Sheik said.
Riku observes the swinging cage and sees the platform.
"If I'm right..." Riku stops talking as he sees the cage's swinging chain and takes out his Keyblade.
"Riku?" Mickey asked.
"What are you doing?" Sheik asked.
"Just trust me!" Riku said as he slashes the cage's chain as the cage swings forward and Daroma's cage, Riku, and Sheik fly across the lava and back on the platform and the cage busts open allowing Daroma out.
"That was close for comfort." Mickey said.
"I'll say. That was crazy, but clever." Sheik said.
"Hahahaha! What a nothin' like gettin' the blood pumping by risks like that! You had a great plan! Nice one!" Daroma said slapping Riku's back making Riku stumble forward.
"Uh, thanks." Riku said.
"Say, I've never seen you guys around before! And you still risked your necks to save my brothers and myself! What's more, you drove off that dragon! If I didn't know better, you guys are GREAT in my book!" Daroma said.
"It was nothin', Chief, but we oughta get outta here!" Mickey said.
"Got that right, little guy! Okay, let's GO!" Daroma said as they leave the mines.
Later Riku, Mickey, and Sheik leave the Goron Mines and return to Goron City where they meet with the freed Gorons and the small Goron.
"Daddy! You're back!" The small Goron cheered.
"Hehehe! Don'tcha worry, Jr.! Everythin' worked out fine, thanks to these strangers!" Daroma said addressing Riku, Mickey, and Sheik and the Gorons surround them and cheer at the trio. "For your act of bravery and savin' us, I hereby make you three honorary Goron brothers!" Daroma said.
"Goron...brothers...?" Riku asked.
"Welp, thanks a lot, Chief Daroma." Mickey said.
"It's an honor." Sheik said.
"So, what brings you guys to Goron City anyway?" Daroma asked.
"We came here to see if Zelda was here, but that's when we saw this place empty, save for your son." Riku said.
"The Princess?! Well, if she was here, I woulda greeted her a nice meal of rocks, but we haven't seen her in a while. Did somethin' happen to her?" Daroma asked.
"She...vanished from sight." Mickey said making the Goron worry.
"But don't worry, she will return soon. She's currently investigating the ongoings caused by new enemies since Hyrule was invaded." Sheik said.
"Hyrule invaded?! I can't believe it! If we heard, we woulda come and helped! Well, I hope the Princess is doin' okay. If ya do find her, give her my regards!" Daroma said.
"We will. Thanks." Riku said.
"I guess we might as well head back to the castle." Mickey said.
"You're leavin' already? We were just about to have some rocks to celebrate." Daroma said.
"Um, thanks, but we gotta head back to plan on finding Zelda and dealing with the Heartless and I guess the Grimm too." Riku said.
"Heh, busy brothers, eh? Don't worry, I won't keep you! Just make sure you back and visit again! Goron City'll welcome new brothers!" Daroma said.
"We'll gladly stop by again." Mickey said.
"We will meet again, Chief Daroma." Sheik said.
"Brothers, let's see our new brothers off!" Daroma said as the trio leave Goron City while the Gorons wave goodbye.
Riku, Mickey, and Sheik leave Goron City and Death Mountain and later return to Kakariko Village which is still being rebuilt and move through Hyrule Plains.
"So, Zelda wasn't in Death Mountain." Mickey said.
"Yeah, and all we got were new enemies. Just who are the Grimm? Are they really intending to use the Triforce to take over every world?" Riku asked.
"That's what Zeke said. He also said he's not on Maleficent's side. Still, whoever the Grimm are, we can't let 'em or Maleficent win." Mickey said.
"Right." Riku said.
"The enemies of Hyrule will answer for their evil. That, I shall make sure of. Neither Maleficent nor this Grimm can have the Triforce. If one, whose heart is full of light and peace, uses the Triforce, then Hyrule will remain a kingdom of paradise, but if one with a dark heart and mind uses the Triforce..." Sheik stops talking.
"Then Hyrule will end up being a world of darkness and chaos." Riku said.
"Let's regroup with the others at the castle. Then, we can figure out how to stop Maleficent and find out more about the Grimm." Mickey said and the two nod and continue through the plains.
Surprise! New chapter for you! Sorry if this chapter wasn't still as big, but I hope this was worth the wait. Also, I wanna say, I know in this chapter, I'd also do Sora, Donald, and Goofy going to Zora's Domain, but I decided to make a change of plans and just do Riku and Mickey handling Death Mountain. Don't worry, I wasn't trying to be misleading. I just happened to change my mind as I was writing. We will get to Sora's side of the search next. Anyway, hope you're still enjoying this story so far.
