"Hey," I said when Kaylee's face appeared on my phone screen.

"'Sup," Kaylee replied. "So which subjects did we already do?"

"Um, we already did math, chem, and English," I answered.

"So, history, and geography, right?"

"Yep."

"Okay."

I opened my eyes as my alarm ripped through my brain. I reached over for my phone and hit stop. I laid in my bed for a while before getting up and getting ready for school. Before I got to the bathroom, though, I heard my phone buzz. Walking over, I picked it up and saw a text from Kaylee.

Meet you at the bus stop?

Sure.

There was a bus stop almost right between our houses, so we usually met up there to walk to school unless one of our parents was driving us. Which didn't happen often. I got ready for school and met up with Kaylee like I said.

"Hey," I said. She had gotten there before I did, so she was already waiting for me.

"Hey," she said back. "Ready for the tests?"

"Ehh, not really," I said.

"Whatever, you'll do fine. You're smart."

"What happened to 'Joonie-pabo'?" She laughed and I smiled. Then she asked me questions that she thought might be on the test and I answered them, without getting too many wrong.

"Not bad for a pabo," she said. I laughed this time, and we kept joking and teasing each other the rest of the way to school.
