This chapter contains a bit of violence and talks about murder, but its nothing that wasn't really brought up in 'Welcome Aboard' Thought I best warn you before you start reading. This is one of the reasons the Story is Rated: M.

Lexie slowly opened her eyes, her head was hurting like mad and she could feel blood trickling past her ear. Despite her head hurting, Lexie could remember everything. She remembered seeing Scotty laying there on the floor, surrounded by his own blood. "Oh Scotty, please be alright…" Lexie muttered to herself, before she looked around. Only to find that she was inside a semi-large cage, but if that wasn't bad enough it appeared that she was in some type of cave. So she wasn't on a star ship, but if that was the case then where was she? Dripping water echoed around the cave and the occasional squeak which came from rats could be heard, needless to say that Lexie didn't like this place one bit and it was about to get even worse. Footsteps echoed around her and Lexie could see a shadow moving around the dimly lit wall, soon the person it belonged to came into view. "So, we meet again Lexie. Did you miss me?" Kyle said smugly as he looked down at his niece, "No I haven't missed you, you're supposed to be dead…" Lexie muttered nervously, she really didn't want to show her uncle fear but she just couldn't help it.

"What a shame that you haven't miss your own uncle." "Like I told you the last time we bloody met, you're nothing but a monster! Not my uncle, you never have been." Lexie growled, Kyle then knelt down in front of the cage and smiled. "You've grown since the last time we met, you're starting to look even more like your mother and father." Lexie couldn't stand him mentioning her parents, after all it was him who killed them all those years ago. "Don't you dare speak about my parents! You cold blooded murderer!" Kyle's smile only grew, he was enjoying making Lexie mad. "You went on to have quite a year after we parted didn't you? Investigating frozen outposts, tracking your robotic companion across a Star System, you even saved an entire planet. You really do like excitement don't you Lexie." Kyle said, Lexie just blinked. "How did you know about that?" "I've been watching you for a very long time girl, do you really think I was going to simply let you get away that day?" Lexie knew what day he was referring to, which brought up the question that she had been wanting to ask since she started seeing him.

"How the hell are you even here? No one could have survived that explosion?" As Lexie asked that question, her voice broke several times out of fear. She really didn't know if she want to hear the answer, "If you're under the impression that I walked away from that explosion, then you're so dam right. I was off that ship even before your Captain gave the order to fire. At that point I was already sneaking away in a small shuttle, you really think I wouldn't have an escape plan." "But why would you come back? You knew Captain Kirk wasn't going to let you take me or hurt me, so why bother coming back?" Kyle slammed his hand on the bars of the cage, which made Lexie jump. "You really think I was going to leave you alone, even when you were onboard the Enterprise. Like I told you all those years ago, I will always find you. I don't care if you were serving under a Star Fleet Admiral, I would still come after you." Lexie felt a tear trickle down her face, "Why can't you just get over the fact that you don't own me anymore?" Just then Kyle flung open the cage door and dragged Lexie out, he threw her to the ground.

"You don't get it do you? I will forever own you, it's in writing. So start showing me a little respect and obey me, you brat!" Lexie turned to face him, "I will never obey you like some sad little puppy…" It seemed like that wasn't the best thing to say. Kyle kicked her in the stomach, causing Lexie to roll over onto her back. Kyle then pinned her to the floor and pulled out a knife, "Let me see if I can't convince you." He pulled up her shirts to reveal her bare skin, he then slashed the blade across her stomach causing Lexie to scream. It felt like she was getting burned, Kyle then stood up and watched as Lexie clutched her stomach tightly, trying to deal with the pain. He then picked her back up and threw her once again back into the cage, slamming the door behind her. "You would think after knowing the pain I can cause you, that you would simply behave." Lexie looked up to face him. "I don't care, you can hurt me all you like but I will never obey you. You're not my master." "You don't just look like your parents, you act like them too." Kyle muttered as he stood up, "Is that why you killed them?" Lexie questioned.

"Tell me the reason you killed my parents and why you did the same to Noah?" Kyle seemed surprised that she had just asked that question and he wasn't the only one, Lexie was just as surprised. But deep down this was the question she wanted to know the answer to ever since her uncle had revealed the horrifying truth to her. "You want to know why? Then I'll tell you why, James was always seen as the better child even when we were young. But that only grew clearer when we both entered Star Fleet, he was known as one of the Fleets best Engineers, even if he didn't leave Earth. Needless to say when he got promoted to Lt. Commander I was anything but happy, I deserved that rank…." Lexie was listening on, she had no idea what rank her father once held. She just believed he was a Lt, but she was somewhat proud to now know he was much higher than that. She did know that he was classed as one of Star Fleets best Engineers, since he was the person who build most of the ships in the Fleet. Just then Kyle continued, "So I did what any officer would do to gain a promotion."

"And what would that be? Since I highly doubt you did anything heroic, you would much rather sacrifice others to advance your own game." Questioned Lexie. "It's simple, I killed my Commanding Officer. It was easy to do and I just made it look like a tragic accident, however James and Colina saw right through my plan." Kyle stopped for a moment, as if to add tension to his tale. Which worked, Lexie could feel her heart being to beat faster and faster. "They found evidence which pointed to the Officers murder and the person who did it. I was dismissed from Star Fleet almost instantly." Lexie could not believe it, "So to pay them back for getting you caught for a murder you committed, you chose to murder not only them but there ten year old son?" Even though Kyle didn't answer with words, Lexie knew that she was right. "You're even more of a monster than I thought you were… Killing your own brother out of jealousy and for revenge. Not only that, you killed your sister-in-law and your own nephew!" "You're dam right I did! James and Colina were in my way of regaining everything that I lost that day! The day I was thrown from Star Fleet." That had answered Lexie's question, but another one soon took its place. One she didn't know if she wanted to know the real answer to.

It took Lexie a few seconds to pluck up the courage to ask her next question, "Then why did you spare me? You could have spared Noah, but you didn't." Kyle smirked. "The answer to that is simple, I knew about my brother having a son but I didn't know about him having a daughter." Lexie just blinked, was he telling the truth? Or was he just lying? "What do you mean you didn't know my dad had a daughter?" "Your parents failed to mention to me that they had a second child, I only found out about your existence on that night." Lexie's mind flashed back to that horrifying night, to see Kyle standing over her as she slept. "But that doesn't answer my question as to why you spared my life, but took my brothers?" Kyle knelt in front of the cage once more, "My brother tried to hide you from me, to keep you safe. So, what better than to do was to take you as my own and to put an end to what James tried to do." Lexie instantly regretted asking the question, she had no idea that her parents had kept her a secret from Kyle.

It was almost as if they knew he was going to come after them, Kyle then got up and walked away but he stopped when Lexie asked him another question. "Did you ever love him?" "What?" Lexie looked over to face him, "Did you ever love James? Your own brother?" By the look on Kyles face, that wasn't the best thing for Lexie to ask. He stormed back to the cage and once again dragged her out, "Your father was a brat! Just like you! He believed in making it through life fairly, he wanted to live a fairy-tale life. That life wasn't what I planned for myself, I knew if you wanted to make it in life you needed to make sacrifice." Lexie rolled over and stared at him. "Basically my father wanted his life to be joyous and happy, something you took away from him." Kyles eyes burned with anger, he then kicked Lexie in the ribs so hard she knew that at least one of them was broken. He watched her roll around in pain for a bit, before throwing her back into her cage. Kyle yelled several things, all of which Lexie couldn't understand before he walked off, leaving Lexie to deal with her pain.

Lexie was in agony, her whole body felt like it was on fire. It had been a while since she had felt this much pain, the last time being when Kyle turned up. Before then she would have been able to supress the pain, mainly since she was use to it. But it had been so long since then, therefore she was no longer able to do that. She had one hand pressed hard against the slash, which was across her stomach, to try and stop it from bleeding. "At least it wasn't my scar…" Lexie muttered to herself, she removed her hand to see it tinted red with blood. She then lifted up her shirts to inspect her uncle's 'handy work', the slash itself wasn't very deep but it wasn't exactly a small one, which was why it was bleeding so much.

"McCoy ain't going to be too happy about that." She joked while replacing her hand over her new wound, "Just please don't leave a scar, having one is enough." Lexie was really hoping it wouldn't. She already hated having one permanent reminder of Kyle, the nightmares on top of that didn't help. Lexie lent back against the bars, tears running down her cheeks. "Why did he have to come back?" She slowly drew her knees up to her chest, breathing was incredibly painful due to her broken rib or ribs, there was no way of Lexie really knowing how many her uncle had broken. "I hope you're alright Scotty? I really hope Kyle didn't hurt you too much." Lexie felt anger burning inside herself or was that just pain, she wasn't really sure. The one thing she was sure of was that if she ever got out of this cage, she would make Kyle pay. Not only for coming back, but also for hurting Scotty. "I know you can't hear me Scotty but, please come for me… Please, I need you…"
