Although I don't really wanna rip off elderfires fanfic. But I can make something similar with the Volume 9 Island. Where Neo and Weiss are both fighting over him IG.
Also Starting from now on I will not be Including Super Long Reviews. Please keep them to a minimum and if you have Super Long Ideas, Just PM them. I Don't wanna inflate the word count too much. Also Shit I forgot about Penny and where she slept in the last chapter. (Remember the 2nd P in JNPPR is oscar pines.) So let's just say she stayed over with Weiss and Winter.
The alarms went off in all of the rooms. Everyone gathered at the Theatre room for breakfast. There were small table platforms for the food that Summer, Jaune, Tai and Glynda all helped prepare. Nora was eating pancakes as usual. Ren was having a tuna salad along with blake. Yang ate some of her mom's Chilli-bean Breakfast Burritos. And Ruby was eating some cereal. CFVY all were drinking coffee, And fried rice. Jaune cooked some pasta for Weiss and Winter. Sun was eating banana bread toast, and Neptune was eating some pumpkin Petes with Jaune and Oscar while Pyrrha stuck to eating buttered toast and beans, Instead of the very Unhealthy Pumpkin Pete's cereal.
Taiyang was telling stories from his beacon days with STRQ
"So, Qrow failed the pop quiz, And He had the brilliant Idea of going to port after class and pulling his skirt up yelling- " Taiyang was interrupted by port jumping on his seat and Yelling "Like what you see!"
"It's been a week and he still thought the skirt was a kilt!"
"SHUT THE FUCK UP TAI!"
Everyone was on their seats, even Glynda was rolling on her seat.
"Qrow in a skirt? Seducing port? Was he at least drunk?" Glynda Asked
"Nope he was just being a Dumb-Dumb!" Summer Yelled from her seat.
"Hey! I thought we were friends!" Qrow whined.
"It certainly sounds amusing," Winter smirked earning a grumble from Qrow.
"Fuck all of you..." The still sober man cursed
"I think it's about time we start the next viewing."
"Thank you," Qrow said as he grumbled about his stupid choices as a teenager.
Bonds Stemmed from Revenge
The Screen Showed Juniors bar, It was still slightly damaged from the time yang was there. But to be perfectly honest. The entirety of Vale was a wreck after the Fall of beacon. Jaune sat down on the barstool. He looked at the TV screen which showed Lisa Lavender Reporting.
"Lisa Lavender here, emergency broadcast from the VNN, Breaking news; Cinder Fall, Alleged Organizer of the Vale breach, And the fall of Beacon has been spotted leaving Vale Into mistral along with her two accomplices, Mercury Black, son of the Infamous Assassin Marcus black, and Emerald Sustrai. If you are planning on going to mistral and see them, Please Contact the local police. Signing off."
Upon Hearing that Jaune brought an aura-covered fist down on the table causing the wood to crack.
"Hey! What the hell man!?" Junior yelled at the blonde before giving a sigh.
"Sorry, I'll pay for that." Jaune gave a junior 100 Lien for the table, "Can I get a Mimosa?"
"It's fine," Junior sighed, "you at least apologize unlike the last blonde. Mimosa coming right up." Junior made the drink and gave it to Jaune who gave the 12 Lien payment for it. "Rough day kid?"
"Yeah..." Jaune said, drinking his Mimosa he clenched his other fist.
"Wanna talk about it kid? I got time." Junior said as he pulled out a chair and removed his sunglasses.
"Yeah sure, I'd like that." Jaune gave a sorrowful smile before explaining. "Pyrrha Nikos, You know her?"
"Yeah, who doesn't. She's the 4 Time Mistral Regional Tournament champ. I heard she died in the breach as well."
"Yeah, she was my Partner at beacon. I was the last person she saw before she… Died." Jaune started to tear up. Junior looked at the younger man before refiling Jaunes Mimosa. "Sorry to hear that kid, It's on the house." Junior tried to cheer up the younger man with a goofy smile which slowly faltered. "I lost someone too kid, It's the whole reason I started this business." He sighed.
Junior looked at Jaune. Despite knowing Jaune only for a few minutes, when he looked at Jaune he saw Himself. Someone who lost someone and doesn't know what to do, Someone who wants revenge.
"I started this business to find out who killed my wife." He poured a glass for himself. He stared at the drink before gulping it down. "I Started this business. To Find him and kill Him."
"Did you?" Jaune asked the older man. Before taking another sip.
"No. I found out someone else killed him before I did." Junior drank another shot.
"Oh..."
"You seem like a good kid you know..." Junior started "If you found the one who killed her. What would you do?" He asked the younger man.
"I'd Kill her." He said coldly. Junior felt the intense chills from The blondes words.
"Like I said, You seem like a nice kid. Would you actually do it?"
"Yes." Jaune clenched his sword at the thought of cinder. He wanted to cut her head and put it on a spike. A monster like her deserved it. 'She didn't even leave a body behind to mourn...' He clenched his sword tighter than before.
The rest of the audience was quiet. As huntresses and hunters' they knew what loss was like. Jaune wanted to cry remembering Pyrrha's death, But Pyrrha was standing next to him. He couldn't let her see him cry. Not when their time was Limited like this. Because when it's time for them to go, He didn't want her to worry.
Junior sighed. He grabbed a chip from a nearby drawer. It was labeled 'Fall' before throwing it to Jaune who catched it abruptly. "Put it in your scroll."
"What is that?" The young Reaper asked.
"It's a Scroll-Chip Friend-Ruby," Her former Robot friend said.
"I've never seen one before..." Ruby had a Curious gaze to the small device.
"Yeah me neither." Her blonde older sister shrugged. All the other students also looked perplexed as to what the device does.
"They are considered Illegal unless you're with the military, council, or the government.." Glynda explained as she adjusted her glasses.
"What Do they do?" Weiss asked.
Raven scoffed "You'll see in a bit." Before smirking.
"What is this?" Jaune said as he plugged the chip into the charging dock.
"Scroll-Chip. A tracking type to be more specific." Junior put his sunglasses back on.
"Wait, Aren't those illegal?" Jaune asked the Bartender who gave a deadpan stare. "Oh right, Crime boss..."
"Wait, How has Jaune heard about them before? I thought he lost part of his memory?" Ruby turned to Deus.
"Jaune Only lost his hunter training and Aura knowledge. His family worked with the government so he heard about them. But he has never seen one before.""Ohh okay, thanks" Ruby Replied before turning back to the screen.
"That one tracks the cinder girl. I had it placed on her when she borrowed some of my men."
"Thanks? Wait why are you giving me this? How much will it cost?" Jaune asked the older man.
"I lost my chance at revenge, kid. I see my younger self in you. I don't want ya to lose your chance as well."
"Thank you." Jaune was tearing up. He has a chance. A chance to get Revenge.
"But promise me something kid, After you kill her, Promise me that you won't become a criminal." Junior said as he looked at Jaune dead in the eye. "Can ya do that for me kid?"
Jaune looked at the man. He gave a nod and a smile "Yeah, I can do that. Arc's word" He chuckled.
The Scruffy older man smirked, "Give her hell kid!"
There was a moment of silence.
"Damn, I kinda feel bad about trashing his bar now…" Back when Yang destroyed the bar, the only thing going through her mind was that they were criminals, Bad guys rotten to the core, Evil and cruel. But now, Yang saw a person, A person who was dealt a wrong hand in life. Someone forced to abandon their humanity because they had no other choice. She remembered her mother. She was a bandit, A Criminal and a monster who abandoned her right after she was born. But despite all that, she still came back and saved her. Someone abandoning something, innocence, kindness, Humanity, Child, Past. It Doesn't always mean they didn't care. They could have been forced to abandon it. After a while you could try saving it a different day or salvage what's left of it. Bad Guys do bad things, but that doesn't mean that All of them are bad people. Some just didn't have a hand to help them out of the darkness. Yang was happy that her friend had a hand that helped him from the darkness. Yang was grateful to know She Has her family and Blake to help her out too. But on top of that, she felt guilty. Guilty for what she'd done to Junior's bar.
The Club's door opened. Neo stumbled into the bar, Limping, eyes reddened from tears. Her clothes were tattered and torn. She hasn't eaten in days. She'd been walking around the emerald forest for days. Her broken Leg barely healed yesterday.
She sat down on the bar next to Jaune. She used her semblance to create a sign which read 'Food, Anything I Don't Care. and a Neapolitan Ice Cream Float.'
"Coming right up," Junior called the chefs for a burger and some cheese sticks. When they Arrived Neo Devoured them like a wild animal. She didn't care how she ate it, just that it got in her mouth and that it tasted great. Just like before… Roman found her.
Jaune Drank another round. He turned to Neo, her short stature, her facial features excluding the eyes. His eyes widened.
"You were teammates with Cinder back at beacon." His smile from talking with Junior earlier faded. His words were spoken coldly. He avoided looking into her eyes
"Oh No!, Is friend Jaune gonna fight her?" Penny turned to Ruby who was equally as worried.
"I-I Don't know penny." Ruby clenched her fists.
"We've fought her before, she's tough. Really hard to hit too." Ren explained. "I don't think he would win."
"Ren! Have more faith in our fearless leader!" Nora whined. Ren ignored it with a sigh.
"It's True. If The me being shown fights her right now, I'd Be killed." Jaune grimaced.
"I'm Sure it will be fine, Deus did mention that you two team up." Oscar said looking at Jaune
"Oh Right! phew" Ruby Wiped sweat from her forehead.
Neo Created another sign with her semblance. 'Cinder?'
"Don't play Dumb with me."
'Ahh I remember. Flame bitch.'
"That's one thing to call her." Jaune Chuckled. "Not a fan of her either?"
'Yeah? What about it?' She rolled her eyes. And signed with her hands
"Nothing really..." he sighed. She quickly turned to him. 'Wait? You understand sign language?'
"Oh yeah! Jauney tried teaching us the basics before!" Nora Exclaimed
"Yeah and only Ren managed to learn it." Jaune Sighed.
"Sorry!" Pyrrha apologized. While Nora giggled.
'Yeah' he signed back. "One of my sisters is mute. We all learned it to communicate with her," he explained.
'I see.' Neo went to drink her Neapolitan Ice cream float. There was an awkward silence before she rang the bell for junior.
"What can I get you?"
Neo pulled a picture of cinder. And created a sign 'I need her Location.' Jaune noticed the text and asked. "What for?"
Neo glared at him. 'None of your business.'
"The Kids got her Location chip, He wants her dead," Junior spoke. She turned to the scraggly blonde before asking, 'Why?'
"She Killed a friend of mine, I want her dead. You?"
Neo gave a sad smirk, 'Same' She signed. Jaune narrowed his eyes. Neo and cinder we're
'teammates' after all.
"Hey! I got an Idea, How about you two team up? I mean Both of you want her dead don't you?" Junior added. If He didn't Surely neo would get her hands on that tracking chip one way or another.
Neo put a finger on her chin before she reached out a hand.
Jaune took a moment to consider before asking "Why should I trust you? You worked with her in beacon."
Neo's eyes narrowed. Her hand still extended. She created a sign that read 'only because we were forced too'
Jaune Gave a sigh and accepted her hand. She tossed the sign behind her causing a large shattering sound.
This was the start of a Bond. A Bond stemmed from revenge.
"Interesting semblance. She's capable of creating solid Illusions that can shatter like glass." Ozpin Noted along with Glynda and the rest of the staff.
"Wait? When I fought her she used a teleportation semblance? How is that possible?" Raven Turned to Deus
"Tell me, what have you noticed about Ms. Neopolitan?"
"She's Short?" Ruby tilted her head to the side?
"She's annoying?" Yang smirked.
"She seems to be pretty strong, If Yang couldn't even hit her." Weiss Added.
"She's cute?" Jaune added.
"Wait what! She's a criminal!" Weiss yelled.
"You Gotta Admit it though! She is really cute." He Defended.
"Yeah even If her personality is a little… Off-putting. She does look adorable." Pyrrha added. To which weiss Hmpfed.
"OH MY GOD" Tai Yelled
"Tai Don't Tell Me..." Qrow Grumbled. "Is she yours?" Summer and Raven snapped to look at Tai for confirmation. Summer had a worried look in her eyes and Raven looked curious
"What no? Look at her! She's a Literal Walking pun! "
"Are you sure she's not yours then?" Qrow Re-added.
"What? No! I Only need Ruby and Yang!" Tai smiled at his children.
Summer on the other hand had a look of relief. "Oh thank gods."
"Hey! I'm Not that bad," he Grumbled.
"I know honey," Summer said cheerily.
"Liar." he pouted.
"I love you too" She giggled.
"She has two eye colors." Ozpin Spoke. "Does that have to do with anything?"
"Correct. eyes are the windows to the soul. And a Semblance is the manifestation of the soul. Sometimes having 2 different colors allows for multiple semblances."
"Wait what! How have I never heard of this!" Professor Oobleck Yelled
"Yeah, that seems really unfair!" Nora Pouted. And the others nodded
"It is A Rare Occurrence. Not all of those with Heterochromia Unlock both of their semblances."
"You say unlock? Does that mean only those with strong potential could have it?" Glynda asked, adjusting her eyeglasses.
"Indeed Ms. Goodwitch."
"I See..." Ozpin drank another Cup of Coffee "May we continue the viewing? I'd Like to see more of Ms. Politan"
"Of Course."
It's Been 2 months since Neo and Jaune Met. they're Currently In a town called Phoenix, It's located in the middle of Anima, In between The forests and desert. Jaune was getting his armor changed. Neo on the other hand was getting a New Weapon. Her parasols Fabric was torn along with Jaunes armor when an ancient death stalker decided to strike them. The House they were staying in used to belong to Torchwick. He used to take Neo on Vacation here, they'd play hide and seek when they were bored. Or binge movies. It was a Victorian House similar to the one Saphron and Terra lived in. It had 2 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms and a Pink dining area which connected to the kitchen.
"Ooh That house looks so Cozy!" Yelled Nora She loved the colors in the kitchen.
"Indeed it Does, Usually Old Atlesian homes aren't found any more in the Deeper regions of the mistral," Winter explained.
"Yeah, Usually they're only found near Argus," Pyrrha added
"Neo! Wake up, Breakfast is ready!" Jaune yelled while wearing a 'Kiss the Cook' Pumpkin Pete Apron.
"Pffft! I thought The Pumpkin Pete Hoodie was bad" Ruby Snickered along with her team.
"I think It's Adorable." Winter Smiled at Jaune.
"M-me To!" Pyrrha yelled.
"Thanks, I Guess."
Jaune Knocked on Neo's room "Neo, I'm coming in!" He opened the door to see Neo still Asleep. She was shivering, Her eyes were dropping tears. Jaune rubbed her back, "hey you alright?" Neo woke up in a panic, She buried her head onto Jaunes chest as her tears fell. She tightened her hug around him. He was Taken back a bit before deciding to return the hug.
"H-hey is she gonna be alright?" Yang stood up and asked uncomfortably. She was reminded of how Ruby used to have nightmares and cry like that. But she was confused, She didn't know whether to feel pity for the girl who nearly killed her.
"She'll be fine."
"Oh-oh, kay then". She sat back down getting backrubs from Blake and ruby.
"Neo? Are you alright?" Jaune asked. She shook her head and wiped her tears. Before pulling away. Her face was red from blushing.
'Can you go out now? I need to dress.' She signed. Pointing at her nightgown
Jaune blushed and nodded "Oh okay, Breakfast is ready so just go downstairs when you're done."
Jaune left the room and waited for Neo to finish dressing up. He set the plates down and left Neo's seat open for her.
She Arrived Wearing a Pink tank top and her usual dark brown pants.
"Not wearing theJacket today?" Jaune asked his partner.
'Nope, We're getting new outfits today dumb dumb. Why bother.'
"Wait new Outfits? I noticed they weren't carrying their weapons. Are they Gonna upgrade them! " The Weapon's Nut that she is Squealed at the thought of seeing new weapon upgrade for Jaune
"Ooh Weapons!" Summer Squealed as well jumping up and down from excitement along with her daughter.
"Oh god no… Now there's two of them" Weiss grimaced. She shivered at the thought. Two Ruby's that love weapons.
"Am I Missing Something Here?" Winter turned to her sister.
"Ruby Loves weapons…." Weiss' Face Darkened. "She loves them a little too much."
"Indeed. Friend Ruby Does Love Weapons! I let her explore my inner parts when I was still a machine. She was quite fascinated with my parts."
"Excuse me?" Tai Perked up and blinked thrice "What."
"Uhuh, Nothing dad! Absolutely nothing."
"Say, Penny was it? Where exactly did my daughter 'explore' With your body.'"
"Dad, you don't need to ask tha-" Ruby was cut off by Penny saying.
"Every Inch of it sir!" Penny Smiled and gave a salute.
"My Baby's innocence..." Tai Muttered over and over again.
"DAD!" Ruby yelled
Yang was smirking like a madwoman laughing her ass off.
Ruby furiously blushed some more while getting a pat on the back from her mother
Neo and Jaune finished eating their breakfast. They head over to the shop to get their new clothes.
Jaune Wore a chest piece similar to the one he got in Volume 4 but he also got a dark blue leather coat on top of it which left the chest plate area more exposed. The left-arm pauldron he had was also placed on top of his leather coat.
"Woah! Fearless leader looks so cool!" Nora yelled. Ren Nodded. "Indeed. He does seem more threatening and mature with that outfit on."
"Hey! What's that supposed to mean!" Jaune Huffed and crossed his arms.
"You look fine Just the way you are Jaune, That other outfit just has a different charm to it."
"I'll say, Meow!" Coco Cat called."Momma Likey."
"Coco!" The Rabbit Faunus yelled.
"What?" Coco waved, "We definitely need you in that outfit." Coco came close to Velvet's face and whispered."Unless you think too many people will chase after him once he wears that."
"I-I Uhm!" Velvet stumbled with her words and Coco Smirked once again. "Jauney!~ once we're out of this place, we are getting you that outfit."
"Uhh Okay?"
"Awesome! Jauney Here is gonna look as cool as me!" Yang Cheered, "Right Coco?"
"No offense yang, But I've been meaning to tell you that your current outfit looks like a potato sack," Coco said Bluntly.
"W-what! No, It Doesn't!" Yang's eyes flashed red. before turning to blake. "Yang, I Love you but. You really should have stuck to the black pants from anima."
Yang's eyes widened in disbelief. She turned to her sister for comfort "Ruby?"
"Sorry, Sis Gotta agree with blake..."
"Weiss?" Yang turned to her sister's partner.
"It's Bad," Weiss said with a straight face.
"Mom, Dad, Uncle Qrow?"
"Sorry, Sweetie buts kinda..."
"Yeah what your mom said it's Uh..."
"It's Shit kiddo," Qrow said gulping down a drink. Tai And summer didn't even bother to scold him
"Raven?" She was her last hope.
"Sorry but, I've never understood why Vernal did that with her pants, and now you too."
Yang Deflated. She sat on her seat in defeat.
"Don't worry about it. We can get you some new clothes once were back" Coco told her
"Thanks"
The Screen Showed Neo in Her New Outfit. It was similar to her volume 8 outfit but with the sleeves and Jacket of her previous one
Coco Whistled "Damn Girls got style."
Jaune and Neo walked out of the clothing store after they paid and went to the weapons shop to retrieve their upgraded weapons.
Jaune for the most part had his crossguard updated. He expanded the shield and contracted it. He then switched the sheathe to its bladed form while on his arm and did a few practice swings. After that, he tested out the gun feature of the sheathing which allowed him to insert dust pistol mags into the sheathes opening.
"I need to get those upgrades. I've been meaning to get a gun for a while now."
"Yeah! We can upgrade it once we get back!" Ruby was once again excited
Neo on the other hand had fewer upgrades done to her weapon. She asked for her parasol's fabric to be replaced with a lighter metal. And having the sheathe part being able to fold in half so she could use her umbrella as a shield.
"Looks like she's trying to get a similar weapon to Jaunes." Pyrrha mused
"Yeah, Maybe so they can improve their fighting styles?" Ren asked.
"Yeah Maybe..." Jaune Replied.
"Bandits! Help!" Was suddenly heard.
Yang let out a growl. "Your doing?" She asked her 'Mother'"Our tribe doesn't attack that far. We only operate, west of Mistral. Around the shion area "
"Alright then"
"Well Then Neo, It looks like we get to test out our new toys"
Chapter End! New Longest chapter so far. Sorry for the lack of interactions at the beginning, I Didn't wanna ruin the flow of the scene so I left reactions to a minimum in this chapter.
Started Writing at exactly 8:am today (excluding time from last night.) Finished at 5:29 PM today. So 7 hours of writing total if you subtract time from the breaks.
My Dad is doing better for those who are wondering, and for anyone wishing him well, Thank you.
Also Idk How tf chapter 1 was so long for. 3400 words while this one was at 3600. It doesn't seem that long to me compared to this one.
