Daphne, Velma, Fred, and Melanie rushed upstairs to investigate the ruckus.

"Get of me you filthy animals! Ah-ah-ahchooOOOO!" Silas sneezed.

"EEEEaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhHHHHH!" A voice screamed again.

The girls and Fred entered a nearby bedroom to find Shaggy, Scooby, and Tom all piled on top of Silas. A curvaceous brunette stood atop of a chair as a snow white cat chased poor Jerry around and around.

"Melanie!" the Brunette screamed, "Get that filthy mouse away from me! It's terrorizing my poor Tootles!"

Melanie rolled up eyes as Jerry raced up her leg and hid on her shoulder.

"REeeeOW!" Tootles as she leapt up into the air and landed her claws on Silas' head.

"YeeeeeeeaaaaaaAGHHHHHHHHHH! Get it off of me!" Silas shouted leaping to his feet.

He quickly ripped Tootles off of his hair and tossed her into the air.

Upon seeing this, Tom leapt to his feet and caught the frightened Tootles before she hit the ground.

"Veronica! Just look what that filthy beast of yours did to me!" Silas shouted pointing at his mangled hair.

"My Tootles didn't do anything! The only filthy beasts in here are them!" she pointed at Shaggy, Scooby, Jerry, and then Tom.

Tom smiled sheepishly, still holding Tootle in his arms. With a quick huff, Tootles quickly left out of Tom's and trotted away her nose in the air.

"Your beast! Their beasts! They're all the same! I can't wait to be rid of this place and all the filthy creatures that reside it!" he shouted storming out of the room in a huff.

"And just who in the world do you think you are?" Veronica pointed an accusing finger at Shaggy's nose, Scooby still on top of him.

"Like, the department of Health?" Shaggy chuckled nervously.

"Veronica, calm down," Melanie stated coming up to her from behind. She gestured towards Shaggy, Scooby, and the rest of the Gang, "This is Mystery Inc. There here find out who's behind the hauntings. Everyone this is Veronica Lakewood."

"Well it's about time," Veronica said with a huff. "How am I supposed to live in this place with all these ghosts hanging around the place?"

"Um, didn't Tom and Jerry inherit the house?" Fred chimed in.

"Oh please," said Veronica picking up Tootles. "You don't actually think we're going to allow a couple of strays to live in this place do you?"

Veronica gave a cruel smile as she petted Tootles, "Uncle Archie is already planning to protest the will! And once he does the only one living here will be us! Isn't that right snookums?"

Tootles purred in her mistresses arms.

"I guess that would explain why you're already making yourself at home," Velma stated.

She pointed to a number of large suitcases, all of which had been opened and unpacked. The closed was already filled with clothes, as were the dresser drawers. At the foot of the bed sat a silk cat bed with an antique water bowl and dish.

"Of course," Veronica chuckled to herself. "It is Lakewood property after all. Why shouldn't we make ourselves at home."

"That's funny," said Daphne curiously. "It sounded like your brother was planning on leaving this place?"

"Of course," said Veronica standing up, "You don't expect us to let that loser live here do you?"

"But, I thought this was Lakewood property?" Daphne stated crossing her arms.

"Ha, that Deadbeat lost any claim on this claim on this property a long time ago," Veronica huffed.

"Silas has always been the black sheep of the family.." Melanie whispered to the others.

"Black sheep? That's putting it lightly," Veronica interrupted.

"What do you mean by that," Velma asked suspiciously.

"My little brother has always been an idiot," Veronica chuckled to herself. "When our parents died quickly whittled away his half of the fortune. Ever since then it's been one money making scheme after another with him. I'm pretty sure the only reason he showed up to Uncle Richard's funeral was for the inheritance."

"Sounds familiar," said Daphne putting her hands on her hips.

"Well the joke is on him," said Veronica leaving the room with Tootles. "Once Uncle Archie finishes protesting the will, this place will be ours, and we'll be leaving him with nothing."

"Like not very easy to like, is she?" Shaggy stated as Fred helped pick him up from the floor.

"You should try dealing with her on a daily basis," Melanie sighed.

"What happened to you guys?" Daphne asked.

"Like it was the monsters!" Shaggy exclaimed, "There was this dog thing and it had like three heads!"

Scooby acted out the Cerberus behind Shaggy.

"And there was this other monster! And it was like part cat! And part goat! And part snake!"

Tom joined in with Scooby imitating a lion, goat, and then snake.

"And they like chased us! And chased Us! and Chased Us!"

Scooby pretended to chase Tom, and then Tom pretended to chase Scooby.

"So like, Jerry dropped a brick on one of there heads! But that only made them madder!"

Jerry slammed down on Tom's tail, causing him to yelp silently in pain. Tom glared at Jerry furiously.

"So they kept chasing us! Until finally, we like, locked them in the Kitchen."

Tom chased Jerry around and around a confused Scooby Doo. Finally Scooby picked the two of them up by there tails.

"C'mon gang," said Fred after hearing the end of Shaggy's story, "Let's investigate."

"This place is a mess all right," said Daphne, "but I don't see any monster?"

The gang, Tom, Jerry, and Melanie were investigating the remains of the kitchen.

"Like, it was here a minute ago!" Shaggy exclaimed, "We saw it!"

"Reah, re rid!" Scooby agreed as Tom and Jerry nodded their heads extatically.

"Hmm," said Velma examining the holes in the kitchen tile, "These pawprints look exactly like the ones we saw in the living room.. And they seem to start right over here."

Velma followed the prints over to the kitchen wall, where an empty cupboard stood.

"Shouldn't this cupboard be stocked with goods?" Velma asked.

"Like, we may have emptied it out a bit," Shaggy chuckled sheepishly.

"But you didn't touch these?"

Velma reached for a single jar of spiced peaches, still siting alone on a shelf. As she gently shifted the it, the cupboard began to slide away into the wall, revealing staircase leading deep into the darkness below.

"A secret passage!?" the whole gang exclaimed, except for Tom and Jerry who simply gasped in awe.

"Of course it's a secret passage," Melanie explained, "This manor is hundreds of years old.. And over the years the Lakewood family built numerous secret rooms under the house.

"I think we just found out where are monsters came from," Fred stated with a Smile. "Come on gang, let's go check this out!"
