Amity is on her winter break so that's why she can hang out with Luz.
Amity could do this. All she was doing was going to her crushes house. After taking a final breath she heads down the stairs. The outfit Amity picked consisted of a Azura shirt and jeans nothing special. Amity walks into the kitchen. She is happily greeted by Edric, Emira and Viney. It wasn't unusual for Viney to be at Blight manor when the Biight parents weren't home.
"Hey guys" Amity said.
"Hey mittens getting ready for your date?" Emira smirked. Amity's face flushed.
"What? Amity has a date?" Viney asked.
"Oh yeah. She's crushing on the girl next door hard." Edric said.
"Ughh" Amity groaned. She noticed the bacon on the table. "Hey can I take some of that? Luz as a dog and I want him to like me"
"Yeah here you go." Emira said. She reached over to Edric's plate and takes a piece of his bacon and hands it to Amity.
"Thanks!" Amity said. She walked out of the kitchen with the sound of Edric whining about losing his bacon.
"Alright you can do this Amity." She told herself. Just cross the lawn and knock on the door."
Amity walked over to Luz's house and knocked on the door. There was thumping coming for inside before the door opened and Luz appeared.
"Hi Amity!" Luz chirped. "Come on in!".
Amity walked through the front. She didn't have to time to look around because an owl flew right into her face causing her to scream.
"Hooty stop leave her alone!" Luz said pulling the owl off Amity. Sorry about him he just likes visitors."
"If that bird ever comes at me again. I'm going to destroy it" Amity growled. Luz can't help but giggle at Amitys angry face it was just too cute.
"Hooty come here and stop bothering the girls" a voice said for the other room. Hooty flys away into the other room.
"Let me introduce you to my mom and stepmom." Luz said grabbing Amity's hand.
As they walk down the hall Amity takes in the sights. She's been in this house before when Lilith lived there, but now on the walls were pictures. There were tons of pictures of Luz from birthdays to trips to the zoo. There was a wedding picture of two women who Amity assumed to be Luz mothers. They walk into the living room and sitting on the couch was two women.
"Amity this is my mom and stepmom" Luz said.
"Nice to meet you kid." The grey haired lady said." "Names Eda."
"My names Camila. Luz has told a us a lot about you" Luz's mother said.
"All good things I hope" Amity chuckled.
"Oh yes. She said you have a pretty smile which I see is true" Camila said.
"Yeah and how when see talks to you her heart-" before Eda could finish her sentence Luz grabbed Amity's hand.
"Ok let's go to my room" Luz said quickly while blushing. They two head up the stairs.
Amity looked around the room. Luz's wall was painted a light blue. Azura and anime posters hung on the wall along with the bi flag that Luz showed her. The bed sheets were covered in pink, purple, and yellow dots. A Psyduck plush sat on the bed.
"I like your room." Amity complemented. "
Thanks"Luz said.
"The psyduck plush is cute." Amity said.
"Cool you know what pokemon is!" Luz said
"I know what it is but I've never watched it. My parents would say it's wast of time." Amity said.
Luz gasped. "Oh Amity we have got to get you started on some anime right now!"
The two girls sit on Luz's bed watching Pokémon on her phone. King comes in the room and jumps on the bed.
"King I have something for you." Amity said. The dog looked up when his name was said. Amity reached into her bag that she brought with her and pulled out something wrapped in tin foil. She un wrapped it to reveal the bacon. She tosses it to king who catches it and munches away happily waging his tail.
"Aww it looks like some likes you!" Luz cooed.
"I wonder who it is." Amity teased. Luz blushes causing Amity to laugh. Here she was kinda flirting with a girl she likes. "Anyway it would be cool if Azura got an anime."
Luz quickly recovers from her blush. "Oh yeah that would be so cool! Why don't we the characters anime style"
"Ok!" Amity agrees. They both get off the bed and head over to Luz's desk to get art supplies. The two spend the rest of time drawing and watching anime. Amity looks at her phone for the time and realizes she had to go home.
"I gotta go home Luz." She said.
"Aww man. Well are you free tomorrow?" Luz asked. We could take the bus and go to the mall then get something to eat."
"Yeah I'm free. That sounds like fun" Amity said getting up. Luz gets up as well and walks her to the door.
"Alright then it's a date!" Luz said. She then hugged Amity goodbye. Amity walked home a blushing disaster.
"She really needs to stop calling these hang outs dates."
They next day Amity meets Luz at the bus stop. They watch the snow fall outside the windows. Luz rests her head on Amity shoulder. They soon arrive at the mall.
"This is gonna be so fun! I've never been to the mall with a friend!" Luz said. She does a little dance in place. "Let's hit the shops!"
It's around Christmas time so the mall is busy. The two girls stick together by holding hands. Amity is completely relaxed something that doesn't happen often. They head into a clothing shop and try on outfits.
"What do you think of this outfit Amity" Luz asked emerging form the dressing room. She has on a white and purple striped shirt with a green jacket. a red beanie sits on her head and jeans hug her legs.
"You look nice" Amity said. It fits you.
"Alright now it's your turn!" Luz said.
"Ok." Amity said. She walks into the dressing room and come out a minute later. "What do you think?" Amity has on a pink dress with black leggings, pink shoes and spiky bracelets on her wrists"
"Wow."Luz uttered "Te ves hermosa"
Luz and Amity Decide they like those outfits the best so they buy them. After that they continue to walk around the mall.
"Hey Amity I'm gonna pop into this store real quick" Luz said pointing to a store.
"Ok Luz I'll wait here." Amity said. While Luz goes into the store Amity looks around the mall. It's all decorated for Christmas. She watched the families line up to see Santa. Luz wanted to but Amity talked her out of it.
"Hey Amity" a voice said. Amity sighed when she recognized who it was."
"Hey Boscha."
"Why didn't you tell us we you were going to the mall." Boscha asked. Amity turned to face her. Skara and the others were there too.
Before Amity could answer Luz comes out of the store. "Check it out Amity they had an Azura plush!" Luz said. She stopped when she saw Boscha.
"Amity please don't tell me your hanging out with that loser." Boscha said. What is she your girlfriend or something."
Luz blushes in embarrassment.
"It doesn't matter what Luz is to me." Amity said. What does matter is that she is a better friend then you."
"What do you mean." Boscha asked. "Amity have you gone soft?"
"Maybe I have. But face it Boscha you never cared about our friendship or my feelings. All you focused on was being at the top. Your a jerk. You made up lies about me!" Amity turned to face toward Luz. But Luz she's different. She's kind and caring. So you know what Boscha I'm done with you goodbye" Amity grabs Luz's hand and walks away leaving Boscha and the others dumbfounded.
"Wow Amity that was awesome!" Luz said
"Yeah it was. And it felt good to get that off my chest." Amity said.
"Now that's the drama is over. Wanna get something to eat?" Luz asked
"Sure" Amity said.
Once they finish eating the girls get on the bus and head home. Amity notices that Luz has gone quite and is tapping her foot. Once they get off the bus they head up back to Luz's house and stand in the yard. The snow falling around them
"Hey Amity." Luz said. Her voice was different. Softener.
"Yes Luz?" Amity asked her heartbeat picked up.
"This is gonna sound crazy. I know we've only know each other for a short while but I really like you. Like more then a friend." Luz admits. And when you said all those nice things it made me like you more. I hope this doesn't ruin our friendship I just thought you should know"
Amity can't find the words to say anything at first. Luz returned her feelings and was also worried about messing up the friendship. Finally she found her voice.
"Luz you don't have to worry." Amity said. It know it's crazy because I feel the same way."
"You do?" Luz asked.
"Yes." Amity said. Both the girls faces felt hot.
"Then if it's alright. Amity Blight can I kiss you?" Luz asked smiling.
Amity still blushing smiled. "I thought you'd never asked"
Luz puts her arms around Amity's waist pulling her closer. Under the falling snow the two share their first kiss. Amity puts her arms around Luz's neck. Time seemed to stop and everything was perfect. Until the voice of Mr.Blight was heard.
"Amity Blight what do you think your doing!?" He yelled. Luz and Amity quickly pull apart. Amity sees her parents glaring at her
"Dad..Mom I can explain!" Amity said.
"There's nothing to explain here young lady."Ms.Blight said "We come home to find our daughter kissing the girl we told her to stay away from!"
Form all the noise Eda and Camila come outside to see Luz and Amity holding on to each other while the Blight parents yell at them. "What's going on here?" Eda asked
"You and your corrupt family put unwanted feelings and thoughts in our daughters head!" Mr.Blight said.
"Come on Amity we are going home. You are in so much trouble. I believe we'll be spending the night finding a boarding school for you" Ms.Blight said. She goes up to pull Amity away but Eda and Camila step in the way.
"I don't think so. You won't touch these children." Camila said.
"She's our daughter." Mr.Blight protested.
"And you really think it's the best idea to send your daughter away?" Eda asked.
"Of course!" Ms.Blight said. Amity was fine until you all came along."
Mom,dad stop!" Amity cried. Everyone goes quite.
Not going to go with you so you can just send me away!" Amity said.
"Amity we are your parents." Mr.Blight said.
"You may be my parents. But these people are my Family." Amity said. She faced Camila and Eda. "And I'm staying here if they let me."
"Of course you can stay." Camila said.
"Amity if you stay with them you'll be throwing your life away. And all the greatness you'll earned from us will be gone." Ms.Blight threatened.
"I don't care." Amity said.
"Don't worry we'll take good care of Amity here." Eda said patting the girls head. "Now come on let's get your stuff."
Reluctantly the Blight parents let Amity,Eda,Camila and Luz into the house to gather Amity's things. Amity says goodbye to Edric and Emria but promises to meet up with them. When it was time to leave Amity gave one last look at her old live before entering her new one.
After dinner that night Amity got ready for bed. She will be sharing a room with Luz until She could get a bed. Luz was sitting on her bed and Amity crawled on and snuggled against her.
"I'm so glad that's over." Amity said.
"Me too." Luz agreed. "We should probably go to bed now."
"Yeah. Can I stay up here with you?" Amity asked.
"Of course." Luz said. She throws the blanket over them and turns out the light. "Goodnight Amity"
"Good night Luz"
