"It doesn't take much," Hogan told Schnitzer as he watched the veterinarian work with the dogs at the farmhouse. The colonel flung a sausage at one of the females and let out a smile when the dog caught it in the air and trotted off to enjoy the treat in privacy
"It doesn't, Colonel." Schnitzer sent a signal to one of the males, who obediently growled at the dummy dressed in a German uniform. "They have an innate ability to tell good from bad. Treat them humanely and they will respond in kind."
"Wise words," Hogan said.
"Indeed," Schnitzer agreed.
