Hi people! Sorry for the long wait! Here is chapter 6. Warning! This will be a sad chapter. I think all you lion king fans know whats about to happen. :( Oh and just in case there was any confusion, Nala's last name is Walker along with Sarafina. Simba, Mufasa, Scar, and Sarabi's is Taylor. Sarabi's maiden name is Pierce. Zazu's is Atkinson and I haven't thought of one for Rafiki yet. I know they're so random but I thought that giving them last names would add to the modern theme and develop the story. Have a nice day!
Simba woke up the next morning and slowly walked downstairs. He was still embarassed about the previous day despite his father forgiving him for his disobedience. Sarabi saw him and waved for him to come over. "Simba, your uncle called and said he wanted to see you today. You can go if you want but eat breakfast first, please." Sarabi said. "Okay." Simba replied. He sat down at the table and poured himself a bowl of cereal. He finshed eating and got up. "Bye Mom." Simba said as Sarabi kissed his cheek.
Simba left the palace and walked to Scar's house. He knocked on the door. Scar answered right away. "Ah, Simba. Come with me. I've got something to show you." Scar told him and walked to his truck. He and Simba got in and drove to a deserted freeway next to the Savanna shopping center. Scar parked and they got out. Scar pointed to a guard rail. "Wait here. Your father has a great surprise for you. It might cheer you up from last night." Scar said.
Simba gasped. "You know about that?" "Oh, Simba. Everybody knows about that. Oh and a word of advice, you might want to work on your punching skills. Now stay here. I'm going to go get your father." Scar instructed. Simba nodded. Scar turned to leave. "Hey Uncle Scar, will I like the surprise?" Simba asked. Scar grinned and didn't turn around. "Simba it's to die for." he said, got in his truck, and drove a good distance away.
Meanwhile at the Savanna shopping center
Shenzi, Banzai, Ed, and numerous other thugs waited in the shadows behind bushes in the parking lot. "Ooh! Can we do it now?" Banzai asked impatiently. "No! We wait for the signal from Scar." Shenzi hissed. Her flip phone buzzed. She read the message and grinned. "Alright. Let's do this."
Meanwhile back at the freeway
"Work on my punching skills! Pfft!" Simba grumbled. He stood up and began punching the air. He hit a pillar that held up the bridge above him. He smiled in satisfaction.
Same time- Savanna shopping center
Shenzi, Banzai, Ed, and the other thugs pulled out their machine guns, split up, and went into different stores. "Everybody down!" Shenzi shouted. The thugs began shooting. The panicked citizens ran outside to their cars and drove to the deserted freeway where Simba was. Simba heard the sounds of hundreds of cars rushing towards him. Saturday was always a busy day in the Pridelands but today must have been bustling because Simba had never seen so many cars in one place. He ran for his life.
Meanwhile Scar called Mufasa and made his voice sound panicky. Mufasa picked up. "Hello?" he said. "Mufasa it's terrible. There's been a shooting next to the old freeway and now there's a traffic rush. Simba's down there!" Scar exclaimed. Mufasa hung up and rushed over. When he got there, he ran to Scar. "Where's Simba?" Mufasa shouted. "Down there!" Scar shouted back. Mufasa ran down towards Simba.
"Dad help!" Simba cried. Mufasa ran to him and picked him up. Mufasa slipped through gaps of cars and kept running. Then a Honda Accord hit Mufasa in the shoulder causing him to drop Simba. Mufasa got back up and grabbed Simba. He set him down in a safe place and ran to the ladder attatched to the side of the bridge. He climbed it up to the top and he started to feel it wobble. He kicked it down and held on to the bridge. Mufasa tried to pull himself up but it was no use.
Then Scar appeared in front of him. "Scar! Brother, help me!" Mufasa cried. Simba's view was blocked so he couldn't see what was going on. Scar got down on his knees and pulled out his pistol. He grabbed Mufasa's wrists and pulled him close. "Long live the king." Scar whispered. Mufasa's eyes widened in horror. Scar shot him in the chest and watched him fall to his death.
"NOOO!" Simba screamed as he saw his father fall.
