"Now this is a sight."

Even half-asleep Eve's hand goes for the gun she'd hidden under a pillow. It still felt off in her hand but at the same time it also felt right having the old colt close. Not as long a barrel as Peacemaker or as accurate as say one of Doc's Colt Lightnings but easy enough for the immortal to handle should she need another means of self-protection besides what she'd gleaned from probing the minds of her former and current skins.

Police tactics and BBD field training and she hadn't even needed to raise and finger to learn it.

"Hey, Easy their Mama bear, it's just me." Perry says in a low whisper stepping more into the low glow of the tv lighting, yet he doesn't drop his raised hands in a show of good faith until he sees the weapon had once again been stashed away in the swaying woman's boot.

Gus already asleep in the recliner her soft snores mirroring Alice's as the pair slept on. The barely touched bottle of hard liquor having already been hidden away as soon as the youngest in the house had joined them later in the night. The two half empty shot glasses having been moved to the side table closer to the recliner when the toddler chose to join Eve on the couch before promptly falling back to sleep her little arm sling over Eve's middle with her 'mother's' jacket around her shoulders acting as a blanket. Eve even humming a song for her as she allowed the late-night cuddle session.

"Motherhood suits you, Earp." Perry comments making Eve's stomach twist uncomfortably, but she forces her expression to remain unchanged when she meets his gaze.

"You're not so bad yourself, Crofte with the whole parenting thing I mean." Eve replies rubbing the sleep from her eyes with the heel of her hand. It wasn't a complete lie considering from the few interactions she had seen between Wynonna's daughter and the Forbs front runner the human man was proving a far better father figure than Adam ever was to any of their boys.

"Let's get these two back to bed." Eve suggests mostly to save Gus's back from having to spend the night sleeping in a recliner.

"Good idea." Perry nodes already loosening his tie and draping his suit jacket over the back of the chair closest to the entry to the living room as he heads in the direction of the recliner whilst Eve tenderly lifts Alice from her curled place on the sofa.

As she'd found herself mildly hoping he was she finds Perry was waiting for her at the bottom of the steps when she'd finished tucking her daughter back into bed. His tie now undone yet left hanging unevenly from around his neck the top three buttons on his shirt undone showing off his throat.

What's the harm in a little indulgence? Eve wonders as her fingers pull at the belt loops of the man's suite pants raising a suggestive eyebrow in the low lighting of the television screen still coming from the direction of the living room. The human giving a surprised yet agreeing response to her advances by leaning in closer to her. "It's been a long while since I've had anyone." Eve warns her tone now low and rough as she dips her head to brush her lips against his in a teasing hint of a kiss.

"That's a little hard to believe considering it's you but if you're unsure we don't have to do more than this." Perry offers rocking back on his heels to meet her eyes as Eve descends another step so now, she was only slightly taller than he was his arms held in a loose hold around Eve's lower back at her upset pout from lack of contact.

The sheer honestly of his words stuns the immortal for a few long seconds. Not even Adam had been so willing to withhold physical intimacy once he understood what it was. The closest equivalent she could think of with her gained knowledge of the males of Purgatory from her time as both Nicole and her current skin of Wynonna was the boy-man Champ Hardy in her ex's craving for the intimacy, she was now attempting to initiate with the human man. Yet as soon as the comparison was made Eve felt her stomach give another hard twist enough for bile to threaten a return trip up her throat at having to think of the Guardians former lover in that way.

Eve had to confess she was more than please with the upgrade the angel gained in dumping the boy-man for the cop. Maybe she'll give that change a try herself sometime, but for now. "Take me to bed already Crofte." Eve orders giving the hair at the back of his head a hard tug as her mouth presses harder against his own.

"Sure, thing Earp." He agrees his arms knocking out the back of her knees as her legs looped tight around his hips.

It wasn't the aroma of cooking food that roused her it wasn't even the sound of a mild volumed Elvis Presley song coming from the direction of the kitchen that has Gus kicking off the covers and hurrying out the door of her room. It was the happy sounds of her niece letting out a giggled "Mama no. Tickles." While Wynonna laughed the sound far happier than she'd heard in a good long while.

When she reached the kitchen mother and daughter had once again engaged in a flour throwing contest while what by the smell Gus knew to be apple cinnamon pancakes sizzled on the stove.

"I tried stopping them, honest." Perry cuts in also sporting his own dashes of powdery white stuff dusting his clothes and hair his tone guilty as he finishes slicing up a few more apples to add to the cooking ones already sizzling on the stove.

Going by the state of his unkempt hair and the half-hidden marks of teeth and nails from the tee-shirt the young man had put on wring side out as well as backward it wasn't hard to guess what the two other adults had been up to while she and Alice had been sleeping.

"Spoiled sport." Wynonna huffed giving Perry's arm a halfhearted slap with a pancake batter covered spatula along with a playful wink when the pair locked eyes a half-second later.

Gus had to admit Nonna wasn't as gogo eyed as she was around say John Henry or Waverly was around that ginger deputy turned sheriff last time Gus had spoken to Nicole but there was a defiant light to Wynonna's eyes that had been lacking since she'd come storming back into their lives hiding away in their little corner of Miracles Montana.

"I have a day off today so I thought we could go out. Hit up a museum, maybe go for a hike up at the nature park, catch a trail ride?" Perry lists off doing his best to avoid Gus's probing eyes as he directs his attention to the dark-haired mother now attempting to shake more flour from her hair much to her daughter's amusement.

"Whatcha think Daisy girl?" Eve questions taking a bite out of a banana slice before offering the other half to her daughter leaning against the counter Alice was still sitting on in her role 'supervising' the adults as they worked on breakfast.

"I choose?" Alice asks her sky-blue eyes wide in childlike wonder.

"Course you can." Eve nodes tucking a few loose strains of Alice's hair back behind her ear. "Anything you want."

"After we finish breakfast and you've had a bath clean all that flour off, little miss." Gus amends earning twin groans from mother and daughter.

"Speaking of which. Breakfast is served." Perry announces from over beside the stove. "We've got blueberry and apple cinnamon pancakes so take your pick or not plenty to go 'round. Also, fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, toast."

"You two musta worked up quite the appetite last night." Gus teases crossing to the refrigerator for the milk and juice jugs whilst Wynonna and Alice finish setting the table.

Perry ducked his head, but Wynonna didn't seem phased as she gave a simple shrug of her shoulders now balancing Alice against her side. "Come on Daisy girl let's go wash up, then you can pick out what we do today while we eat."

"Okay, Mama." Alice agrees looping her arms around Eve's neck.
