The heroes of the agency gathered in the break room for the early Monday morning meeting. Midoriya stood in the front with Kirishima and Bakugou. The meeting began as soon as all the pro heroes of the agency arrived.

"Good morning everyone. I know we have a lot to cover in a short time. So, let's get started." Deku said. "We have 8 villains that escaped a maximum-security prison. One has been captured at this point. However, we believe the other 7 are split up into 2 groups and are in the city hiding. Everyone is on call from this point forward. Emergency protocol is in place at all hero agencies. If no one else is captured by the end of tomorrow, the top 10 are holding a meeting on how to hunt them down. This is top priority alongside our daily patrols. However, citizen protection comes first. If a villain escapes because you are protecting citizens, do not worry you are doing the right thing."

"We also have an announcement to make." Bakugou said, chiming in. "I have to thank Shoto for our weekend off. I used that rare vacation wisely and I proposed to Eijiro."

"I said yes." Kirishima smiled warmly at his partner. He lifted his hand to show the room the ring.

"YEEEEEESSS!" Mina yelled, jumping up in joy. "It's about time Bakugou!"

"Mina…" Denki sighed at his girlfriend. "We are in a work meeting still."

"That's why I held back." She said, confused on his tone.

"Yeah I know I took too long." Bakugou sighed, rubbing the back of his head. "So yeah… we are making an announcement to the media later tonight. No need to hide it. We are hoping to get the media off Creati and Shoto."

"It's greatly appreciated." Momo smiled warmly.

"Yes, thank you." Shoto nodded.

"Congratulations you guys." Deku smiled sheepishly. "So, everyone please pair up. Take an ear communicator. Be on high alert. Dismissed." The room started to clear. Uraraka ran up and hugged the two boys.

"I can't believe it! When's the wedding? I wanna be in the wedding!" Uraraka smiled.

"We don't know for sure yet. But of course, Uraraka." Kirishima smiled. "You wanna partner up today?"

"Well duh!" She laughed. "Who are you going with Bakugou?"

"Shoto." He said, gesturing to the half and half hero approaching him. The pairs headed out for their daily patrols. It was early afternoon when Kirishima spotted a shady person entering an office building. The upper floors were under renovation, so the first 4 floors were filled with people. Kirishima didn't have much time to react before he saw the glass windows explode. He instantly hardened and blocked Uraraka.

"Uravity!" Kirishima yelled. "Call for backup… I'm starting capture and rescue!" He ran inside the building without another word. Uraraka called for all pro heroes nearby to come assist. She ran inside to help the rescue efforts. Kirishima was stalling the villain inside while a manager was evacuating the floors. The 4th and 3rd floors were completely evacuated when a loud crash was heard. Shit… the building was falling. Kirishima got punched on the stomach when he was distracted. His hardening failed and he took the blow. He fought back even with no breath, blocking all blows the villain dealt to him. Uraraka was helping with evacuation, keeping as much debris off the floor as possible so everyone could get out.

They were finally on the last floor when the roof came down. Kirishima left his fight with the villain to catch a huge piece of roof, preventing it from crushing a group of citizens. He held it up, hardening his body. But the weight was a lot.

"Uravity!" He yelled. "I can't hold it much longer get them-" His voice was cut off by the villain sticking a bomb to his back. Uravity jumped in and lifted the roof off the pro hero and got the citizens away. However, the bomb went off. It was some sort of designation quirk. The bomb exploded on his back, causing him to yell in pain. He hardened in time, but it was a damn powerful bomb that went off on him. The blast injured 2 citizens nearby him. They fell, burnt, and injured.

"Red Riot!" Uraraka yelled. "Please hold on! Back up is almost here!" she threw the debris away from them and helped the two citizens up. Kirishima nodded and went back to fighting the villain, trying to get some good blows in. but he dodged them all. He had two more bombs explode on his hard skin. He didn't understand why his quirk wasn't working as good. Normally he would harden and barely feel a thing, but these bombs hurt. A lot.

Uraraka finished the evacuation. The police had arrived, but the building was coming down on top of the fight. Uraraka did everything she could to keep the debris from hurting anyone else. Suddenly they heard a crying. They turned to find a child crying in the corner. They didn't know when he got there or even how. Debris was falling all around the poor kid. Kirishima was distracted when he felt a sharp stabbing pain in his shoulder where his still healing stab wound was. After, a bomb connected with his injured skin and exploded. He gritted in pain, his arm bleeding extremely bad. He couldn't harden anymore. His skin was gone on his chest and shoulders. He was badly burned from the connection of so many explosives. The criminal then tried to go after the child when Kirishima jumped in front of him. The villain looked confused on how he could still move but stuck another bomb to him, this time on his throat. Kirishima took a deep breath. He may actually die here… protecting a child.

He opened his eyes when he heard a huge boom in front of him. He instantly knew it was his fiancée blowing the villain away with an explosion. Shoto ripped the bomb off Kirishima and froze it solid.

"Holy hell Red Riot…" He murmured softly. "We have to get you to a doctor."

"The kid…" Kirishima practically whispered. Todoroki nodded and went behind him to scoop the child up. He had him safely in his arms when another explosion went off.

"COME BACK HERE!" Bakugou yelled. The villain was trying to get away now that more pro heroes were showing up. Shoto used his ice quirk, making the floor slick with ice. It finally caught the villain, freezing his feet to the ground. Bakugou caught him and pinned him down. The police came into the building and arrested the criminal. Pinky and Charge-bolt arrived shortly after. Pinky helped Uraraka clean up the devastation and debris, making it safe for everyone. Charge-bolt helped with getting the citizens to safety and helped the police with witness reports. Kirishima stumbled, blood dripping down his arm and chest. He couldn't harden to make himself stand. He panted heavily as his vision blurred. He stumbled a bit, feeling warm hands catch him. Everything was hazy after that. He heard someone yelling for an ambulance… he heard crying… he felt warm hands hold him close.

Kirishima blinked, trying to clear his blurry vision. The sun was so bright in that room. He heard beeping and whispers around him. His vision finally allowed himself to read the room. He saw Bakugou, Uraraka and Todoroki sitting in the chairs around him. He slowly sat up, but a hand pressed against his lower chest softly. It was the familiar warm hand of his fiancé.

"Lay down. You're in the hospital Eiji." Bakugou said in a soft tone. Kirishima hadn't heard that voice in a long time. It must have been bad.

"Did…everyone…safe…?" Kirishima mumbled.

"Everyone is safe thanks to you and Uravity." Todoroki said. "Only 3 people got hurt and they're extremely minor injuries. They already are home and treated. You did great work out there."

"You are a true hero Eijiro." Bakugou said, taking his hand softly. "You protected a kid with your life."

"You were amazing out there." Uraraka smiled. Kirishima smiled weakly, squeezing his partners hand a bit.

"What… why… I didn't harden…" Kirishima asked softly. He had a hard time spitting out the words.

"It was part of the villains quirk. The bombs weaken your quirk the more you get exposed to them. He could make as many bombs as he wanted, kind of like Yaoyorozu's quirk. And set them off at his own pace. So, after so many exploded on you, you couldn't harden, and you took the entire force of it. You're lucky to still have your arm." Bakugou explained.

That explained a lot. He felt a little better that it wasn't just him that didn't know how to handle his quirk or something. And he was relieved to know everyone was safe. He closed his eyes and relaxed in the hospital bed.

"How long… here?" Kirishima asked.

"A few days… you'll be off the rest of the week at least." Bakugou said. "I'm making you stay home at least 2 weeks or until your arm can function right."

Kirishima gave a gentle nod. He didn't have the energy to argue. He soon fell asleep. He woke up again late that night, the medication wearing off and he felt his wound. He held his shoulder gently as he sat up. He groaned slightly in pain.

"Oi… why are you moving?" Bakugou said. Kirishima blushed as he realized his fiancé was still with him.

"The meds wore off… I'm wide awake so I moved." Kirishima said.

"How's your arm feeling?" Bakugou asked.

"Like hell but I'll live I guess." Kirishima laughed softly. "Don't worry I'm fine Kats."

"No, you're not your arm almost got blown off!" Bakugou sighed.

"Shouldn't you be home sleeping babe?" Kirishima asked.

"No, my job is to be here making sure your reckless ass isn't getting out of bed. Besides… Deku is letting me take tomorrow off. The doctor said he will release you into my care tomorrow afternoon. So, I'm not leaving until you do." Bakugou said.

"But babe there's still 7 villains on the loose…" Kirishima said.

"No 6… you took down the one today. The news is already outside trying to pick up the story. The union isn't gonna be able to ignore your top 10 request now." He grinned. "You did amazing in there Eijiro."

"Thanks… and thank you for saving my life. If you and Todoroki didn't show up when you did, I would be dead." Kirishima said.

"You would have figured it out." Bakugou shrugged. "No villain that weak was gonna kill you."

"You're so manly Katsuki…" He laughed softly. Bakugou took Kirishima's hand and the two talked about wedding announcement plans and things that needed to be done. Kirishima eventually fell asleep and Bakugou passed out in the chair in his room.
