Somewhere in the middle of a Vale forest, there was a hidden facility fortress made of metal. On the outside of the north wall, there was an octagon icon made up of smaller octagons. Inside of the facility, most of the workers wore bright-yellow hazmat suits.
One of the workers stood in the main control center and awaited a call on the computer screen. The screen displayed a line that bent whenever the disgruntled voice spoke.
"Yes?"
The worker in the yellow suit cleared his throat. "Scientist Supreme, we AIM agents are pleased to inform you that we are making significant progress in reverse engineering the Pym Particles we stole from the old man."
"So are you saying that you've figured out how to make more?" asked the disgruntled voice called the Scientist Supreme.
"Well, no, sir." The AIM agent said. "But we're close."
"Very well. I shall be there shortly to finish the job."
"Right, sir. By the way, what should I tell some of the other scientists? Some of them haven't yet been informed of the particles' origins."
The Scientist Supreme sighed before replying. "Tell them the truth. Hank Pym was an Atlesian Huntsman with the unique ability to create Pym Particles out of his body, and he uses them to shrink himself at will, but still keep his level of strength. If we could harness this power, the possibilities will be endless."
"That's great, sir." The AIM agent said. "But if Dr. Pym knows we have his particles, won't he come after us?"
"Do not worry. He's an old man by now. His body won't handle the strain of his own particles. He can't even make them out of his own body anymore, which is why he had to make them in a lab. And now, a sample of his work is in the hands of the Advanced Idea Mechanics. Got that?"
"Yes, sir."
"Good. I will be there soon."
The call ended. The AIM agent resumed his duties and monitored the base. However, he noticed something strange. One of the security cameras on the rooftop were blacked out. He then ordered one of his guards to investigate.
The AIM guard opened the door to the rooftop. He checked the camera to see the issue, but much to his surprise, he found the most unusual issue he had ever seen. The front lens of the camera had been covered by a handful of ants.
The agent reached out to brush them off, but before he could, a tiny figure smaller than the ants jumped right up to his face. The agent had only a split second to see the small figure before it struck him hard with a punch. Surprisingly, the punch sent him down and knocked him out instantly.
The small figure landed next to the AIM agent and grew himself to an average height for an adult male. He wore a red-and-black jumpsuit and a silver helmet with red lenses. The helmet opened up showing a young man proud of himself.
"Wow. I really do pack a punch from that size. Nice."
"Focus, Scott." Said a woman who grew right next to him. She had a similar suit to Scott's, but with yellow instead of red. She was an wasp Faunus with wings sticking out of her back. "We need to get my dad's particles before AIM cracks the code."
"On it. Lead the way, Hope." Scott said. They both shrank and flew off. Hope flew with her own wings and Scott rode on the top of a flying ant. "Hey, did you see how I knocked out that guy? That was cool, right?"
"It's not that impressive, Scott." Hope said. "My dad hired you simply because of your thief skills and that you were the most physically fit person to wear that suit in his place."
"Hey. I'm special." Scott said. "I was a student of Shade Academy."
"You were expelled."
"Well, I was a master thief."
"You got caught and served five years."
"Well… Okay, look, I know I don't have much experience, but I'm more than happy to help your dad with this if he can help provide for my daughter."
"I trust you that much. Look out!"
They stopped flying when an AIM agent passed through. They quickly flew over his head without him even noticing them. They kept flying through the hallways while Hope was checking the screen on her wristband.
"Okay." She said. "According to this, they're keeping the Pym Particles on the lab at the left."
"On it." Scott said. He pet the head of his ant. "Let's do this, Ant-thony."
"You did not just name your ant." Hope asked in disbelief.
"I totally named my ant." Scott replied proudly.
Right as the two of them turned to their destination, the lab door opened as an agent exited. They slipped past him and got into the lab right before the door was sealed shut. As soon as they were inside, they rested at a table and hid behind appliances there.
Scott and Hope gazed around the room to see what they were dealing with. There were a total of four AIM agents around the lab. One was at a computer screen, the second began working on his clipboard, the third carried a gun and kept watch, and the last one was at a lab table looking at a microscope.
"That last guy must be studying the Pym Particles." Hope whispered. "Listen, we don't just have to take back the Pym Particles. We also have to erase all their research so they don't try filling in the blanks. Thankfully, my hacking skills are impeccable."
"So you take one and I'll take three?" Scott asked.
"Well, I figured that would be enough for a 'master thief' and 'former Shade student'."
"Okay. Now, you're just making fun of me."
"Look, you've got a suit that helps you shrink and a helmet that allows you to communicate with ants. I think you should handle three nerds."
"Yeah, yeah. I got it."
The Wasp used her wings to hover close to the ceiling. While she did that, Scott ran across the table closer to the AIM researcher. He eventually made it underneath his head, and the AIM agent looked down to see the Ant-Man.
Right before the agent could ask, Scott surprised him by growing to normal height while connecting with a backflip kick. The AIM agent with the gun pointed, but Scott threw a disk right at the gun. Once it grew instantly, the butt of it knocked the guard out at that moment. The AIM agent with the clipboard tried to run, but Scott caught up to him and tackled him into unconsciousness. The AIM agent at the computer screen was about to hit the alarm button, but the Wasp surprised him with a growing backflip kick the same as what the Ant-Man did.
"Hey! You stole my move!" Ant-Man shouted.
"Well, that was fun." The Wasp said. "I'll hack the computer and delete their data. You swipe that vial back."
Ant-Man turned back to the research table and found a small vial of red liquid inside. He took it and examined it.
"This is what all the fuss is about?" Ant-Man asked.
"Believe me, it may be small, but it's still dangerous." The Wasp said. "And… done. Now, we can go."
Ant-Man and the Wasp ran back to the door, but just as they opened it, they were immediately seen by all the agents who were in the hallway. They closed the door shut before they were shot.
"Right. Forgot to shrink." Hope said. "Any ideas, master thief?"
Scott looked around the room and stopped to stare at the air vent. "Well…"
"I don't have ventilation plans, Scott." Hope said. "There's no telling where we'll end up."
"It's our only shot." Scott said pointing at the door which was being banged on from the other side.
Hope sighed and shrank down. Ant-Man shrank as well and landed on top of Ant-thony. They hovered up and slipped right into the air vent. They quickly dashed through the shaft making lefts and rights everywhere. Eventually, they made it out of one end, and luckily, it happened to be outside. They continued until they were just thirty feet away from the outer walls before they grew back to normal size.
"Wow. That was lucky." Hope said. "Maybe you're a competent thief after all."
"That might just be the nicest thing you've ever said to me." Scott said. "So let's move on and… Oh, boy."
Both Scott and Hope stopped in their tracks when they came across a creature of Grimm. The Deathstalker crept out of the forest snapping its claws and pointing its tail.
"And here comes the most complicated part of any heist movie I've ever seen." Scott said.
"And do your movies have a way out of this?" Hope asked readying herself.
The Deathstalker struck with its tail, but Ant-Man and the Wasp rolled out of the way.
"Okay." Scott said. "I'll go high. You go low."
"I have wings. Why would I go low?" Hope asked.
The Deathstalker struck with one of its claws, but both of the size-changers shrunk to avoid it. The Wasp flew right in front of its eyes and shot an energy blast right at its eye. While it roared in pain, Scott decided to use his helmet to its fullest. With only a minute to call, several swarms of ants began to climb up the Deathstalker's legs. They all bit at once making the Grimm roar some more.
"Well, it's distracted." The Wasp said. "Now what?"
"I got an idea." Ant-Man said. He reached into his belt and pulled out a small disk.
He ran up to the Deathstalker and threw that disk at it. Once the disk hit the Grimm, the monster immediately disappeared. In reality, it shrank down so small, Scott laughed as he picked it up by its tail. It tried to sting at his hand, but the stinger couldn't reach.
"Now, this has to be the most adorable creature of destruction I have ever seen." Scott said.
"Well, we can't just keep it." Hope said. "Now what?"
Scott gave a devilish grin under his silver helmet. He turned to the AIM base and threw the tiny Deathstalker toward it. He also pulled out another disk and threw it where the Grimm was going to be. Once it hit, the Deathstalker grew back to normal size right before it landed into the AIM base courtyard. The alarm sounded and screams were heard.
"Looks to me like AIM's got a bit of a pest problem." Scott said.
"Well, that should make covering our tracks easier." Hope said.
Hope gave the stolen vial back to her old man. The well-dressed gentleman accepted it and sat in his office chair. "Well, it looks like I picked the right man for the job."
"Well, I had a good teacher and a better partner." Scott said looking at Hope who gave a blush that she made sure he didn't see. "So about my daughter…"
"Right. Don't worry." Hank Pym said. "I'll transfer the funds to you and you can give it to Cassie. I may call you on some other jobs in the future, but you'll be compensated. I promise."
"If it means I can do right by my girl, I'm in." Scott said.
"And I'm more than happy to show him the ropes, dad." Hope said.
"Good." Dr. Pym said. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got a class to teach at Beacon."
After finally killing the Deathstalker, the AIM agents were groaning from pain and exhaustion. Even the AIM commander was tired. Of course, his problems only got worse when the front gate opened. A skinny man walked in with a black suit and a mustache. The sight of him made the commander fidget.
"Oh! Dr. Watts!" he greeted nervously.
"That's Scientist Supreme to you." Dr. Watts said observing the damage around the base. He crossed his arms disapprovingly. "Well, this should be good."
Author's Note: And that's all the OG Avengers that I'll introduce in the main plot: Iron Man, Hulk, Captain Remnant, Thor, Black Widow, Ant-Man, and the Wasp. Don't know when I'll start with the main plot story, but I'm looking forward to it.
Any and all comments are welcome.
