Gaia: "What do you mean you come from another world"
With the time they had to spare, Evan and Gaia have been talking to each other for a long time. Almost for an hour straight at this point. Evan went first really since Gaia wanted to know why he was out here in the desert alone."Well, why do you think I am dressed like this. In a dessert and alone. I just came from any other world. Is that hard to accept"Gaia didn't believe him at first, there has never been someone who just appeared from another world just like this. She thought he was just suffering from heatstroke, but everything did match up with what he said, alone with strange clothing and the way he talked as well. He was from another world"Gaia, I would love to just sit here and talk. But we got to get moving, we got to find a path or something or else I'm going to..well..die"Gaia: "Your Right, we need to get going. But while on the way we should talk about how you can defend yourself. You might not know this but there are Demon beast around these parts"
"Oh yeah, ma-beast" He started to have a flashback to that fateful night, god he didn't want to go through it ever again. No fucking wayGaia: "Child, do you know how to perform magic? I can tell that you have a decently good mana pool""I don't know sort of? You just put your hand out and say the magic words right. That's how most people in my world write stories like that"
Right now, Evan was playing stupid. Sure he already knew the magic system of this world, but he did need to know how to do it. Then when he was thinking about it, what was his affinity?. Evan looked at the yellow spirit that was following him, he remembers that yellow was the color of the earth or something. So if he called an earth spirit he must be an earth mage...right?
Gaia: "Alright, let's try this out first. Raise your hound out, I'll use my mana to form the spell. So say, "Dona"
"Alright" Putting his hand, right in front of him. His spirit started to glow, its mana getting ready for the spell. The spirit would float around Evan's hands as he said the word"Dona"
All around the area, the sand started to move slowly. The millions of grains would all swarm in front of him. They started to form the wall, the sand was climbing each other and hardening into a wall, The wall would form the sand would finally form fully, it was standing at 7 feet tall. With the Sand sort of combined into a wall itself. Then Evan had an idea
Gaia: "Oh wow….that's interesting. But good work child" Gaia was surprised at how the wall formed. How most "Dona" spells were cast, there was just a wall of pure earth, but this was interesting in the fact that this was the first time someone used Sand."Oh, Earth magic...the Sand. Oh, this is good" Evan started to think about all the cool things he could do with the sand. There was almost an unlimited amount of sand so he could just practice, but he could he needs to find civilization.
So, evan would walk over to his bike. Since it was covered in sand, he had to shake it a little before actually getting on. But once he got all his other stuff, he noticed he was running low with the snacks. That would be bad if he did. But he started to do what he's been doing for the past few days. He just rode his bike in one direction, he just riding his bike through the desert. But the sun started to get to him, to an unbearable amount. He could feel his back getting hotter and hotter every second, Evan did think he had blisters on his back. Which scared him
Gaia: "Why don't you ask the spirits for help. Like you did before"While he was riding his bike, he would stop pleading with his bike as he would have this sort of "Oh your right". Evan would ride down one more dune, slowly down he would park his bike.
When he got off, he would put his hands together once again. This time he would call out to the spirits once again. But this time Gaia would help him contact the spirits
"Please spirits, I ask you to guide my way. I am a lost soul and wandering the desert sands. Please lead me to a train or anything...please"All around him, this time a ton of spirits would appear this time. Their bright white light would shine all around him, all of them would be speaking in those whispers once again"Northwest" Hearing what the spirits said, he would feel their glow move a little. As some of them moved in unison, some of the lesser spirits would point northwest. Evan would open his eyes as he saw the spirits were pointing to where he needed to do. He felt even more hopeful, it seems that things were finally coming his way.
"The city"
"Northwest"
"Keep going"
"Faster, faster"
"You will find it"
"Find the city"
Gaia: "we mustn't lose time, we should get going before our supplies run dry like the sand itself"Alright, let's keep going" Evan would walk over to his bike again, but he would face where the spirits were pointing to. They told him to find the city, sure he didn't know what that meant but he got the idea. So Evan would ride his bike northwest for as long as his legs could move. He ended up pedaling for about a few hours maybe, but with the help of gaia, his mana would fuel his body. Evan himself looked up into the sky...it was getting that all-so-familiar color of orange.
After a while, he would stop. It seems that he was getting close to something, the geography started to get different. The ground still had sand, but it was mostly hard ground. But he would notice that were large amounts of Sandstone boulders and rocks. It was interesting, but it started to get late slowly. Over time the sky started to get dark blue, the stars in the sky started to shine.
After some time the whole sky was full of stars, Evan would be sitting on a rock looking at the sky once again. This time he wasn't going to die from a fucking snakeGaia: "Evan, I think it's time to go to sleep. It's getting late and we don't want to wake up late now do we"
"Yeah, your right. Actually, can I try something real fast"
Evan would raise his hand once again, the spirit would wonder what he was doing but she will follow along with this plan. He was preparing a few spells to cast rapidly, so the spirit would get ready to use its mana. Then evan said the magical words"Dona! Dona! Doa!" From the ground, thin but large chunks of the earth would sprout out diagonally. All of the pillars would make a tall tent-like shelterGaia: "Wow! I am impressed, Evan. being able to cast so many spells and thinking smart. You are an interesting one I have to say" The Spirit would sound overjoyed, he was able to do such a thing. Oh this child was becoming a man or more
"Oh, you're making me blush. But, it's time to sleep" Evan did what he always did, he would walk inside of the stone tent, laying down his sweater on the ground, and then layed down"Goodnight" Gaia: "Goodnight dear child"
Then Both Evan and Gaia would go to sleep easily, it was silent so there was no other noise than his breathing. It was nice, but cold still. But they just slept
-
Off in the distance, Four men would be looking through a telescope. They saw someone walk into a stone tent and fall asleep in it. The man looking through the telescope would place it on his side
?: "Oh this is going to be easy, but we should wait. It's a magic user so we need to be careful"On his side, another man was sharping his knife slowly. The sparks would fall to the sand
?: "Man, this is going to be good. Maybe we can sell him off to the Kingdom as a Galodator"One of their men was getting a rope from a large beast, black as well. With the man making some sort of net
?: "His clothes look might sell as well. They look well made, so they might sell for a few Silver coins"
The final man, this one is large. His skin was covered in Green scales, his mouth dripped with drool. He had a wicked smile on his face as well?: "Indeed Friends. We Strike at the dawn, make sure to do it fast. We don't want him crushing us with rocks"All four men would smile at each other, they would keep turns on watching the kid inside sleeping. By tomorrow morning, they are going to have another profit on their hands
