So uh, hi. It's been a really long time since I've updated this story. I guess I just haven't been feeling it lately. I'm working on a few original stories over on fictionpress, so that might be partly why. Oh, and the villain's name, Tasma, comes from the Spanish word fantasma, meaning phantom.
"Has she been found?" "Yes, Lady Tasma. We are watching her most closely." "I will be watching her. I expect you to watch the progress that has been made. Have I made myself clear?" "Yes M'lady."
Cold, so cold.
" Child, wake. Your fight has only begun today. The evening will only fall from whence it came."
"Lia?" That voice. She knows it from somewhere. She wants to remember, but something blocks those faint whispers of memory. Something.
"Lia." Again, that voice. She allows herself to open her eyes, wincing at the bright white light flooding in, blinding her. She can't, she doesn't want to be here. She shouldn't be here.
Faces. All these faces. Some are connected to those faint whispers of memory, but most mean nothing to her.
Another voice, different than before. "Lia? Can you hear me?" She remembers. That voice told her to trust in something. She- wait. The force. That's what she was told to trust in. "Wha-What? Who-who are you? Where am I?" "Lia, you're home." No. This isn't real.
"Flora, can you be a dear and run this datapad down to the hangar bay?" "Yeah. Sure.", FLora huffs. Running. All day. But she really just wants to know about what happened. Who everyone is talking about. Rey hasn't been down here to check on the pilots for hours. That most definitely is not her. "Hey! Care to tell me what's going on? Where's Master Rey?" The pilot she stopped looks at her for what seems like a minute before responding. "Don't you know? They found her.", he says, in the most flat tone possible. "But honestly, if that kid was hidden who knows where for years, then why is everyone so interested in her? If even Rey can't find whoever that kid is, then what's the point? But honestly, take it as you will. Just don't think that this kid is some powerful being. She's just a kid thrown into this like the rest of us." "Yeah. Hey. What's your name?" "Jet. Jet Dameron." "
A voice poking into her brain, comforting her. A hooded figure. These she remembers. Lia watches. Waits. These people rescued her, but she knows where she is called. And she will get there.
I know. This is super short. Actually, I realized that I work better when I write short chapters. Yeah, it means more chapters to write, but it's a lot easier for me. But i'm getting back into writing this story, and I may rewrite it entirely, because there's a lot in it that I like, but there is some stuff that I'm thinking of changing. Anyway, thanks for reading, and I'm hoping to either post another chapter sometime or rewrite some of the other chapters in this story:) Also, I just published the first chapter of an OC Star Wars fic (Wanderer's Sanctuary is the title) that I've been working on for quite a few months now, so feel free to checck that out.
