We're now heading to new cities! Let's how heroes deal with their brainwashed allies!

Chapter 3: C'est la vie aux Quebec et Montreal, the rescue at Ottawa

After a long flight in which the team rested for good measure, they finally arrived at Quebec and headed to the Gérard-Morisset Pavilion, which is one of the four main buildings of the National Museum of Fine Arts of Quebec.

The seven arrive and notice Dawn with a cold glare at the aforementioned building, as if she was ready to wreak havoc yet somehow restrains herself. "What is she doing?" Juzo asks, "Her mastery of aura and Zelda's powers may allow her to resist Galeem's control, probably" Japan says.

"One of us should take on her while Dawn still hesitates, she may even surrender" suggested Trevor. "I'll go, but I won't enjoy this," Mario says, the rest nod and the plumber approaches the girl, who turns and widens her eyes at the hero.

Mario was about to say something when Dawn surprised him with a Din's Fire. The hero jumps out of the way and gets into a battle stance. "Guess she succumbed to Galeem after all" Heather snarked.

Mario vs Dawn

FIGHT!

Mario starts with a jump followed by a down air, but Dawn simply repels him with Nayru's Love and makes the plumber is sent flying a bit. Before he lands on the ground, Mario techs and throws a Fireball at Dawn but she jumps out of the way and retaliates with another Din's Fire.

The plumber jumps out of the way and counters with a forward aerial but only gets a Phantom Slash to his face for all his troubles. Mario is sent towards the stairs of the building's entrances and groans in pain.

Mario glares at Dawn, despite what he's heard from her and the second generation of Total Drama and knowing Galeem is controlling her, he finds unbelievable one of the kindest heroes of this Earth could be this cunning.

"Mario, Dawn may be skilled with her powers, but she's still training on her resistance, you need to use a powerful attack!" Japan yells

Dawn prepares to finish Mario with another Phantom Slash and that's when he gets an idea. "Look!" Mario points at Dixie, making Dawn turn to see the kong and lose her focus, unleashing her Phantom Slash. Mario takes the chance and reflects the move with his Cape.

Dawn turns to see the knight just before it strikes her and sends her flying towards the heroes.

Juzo catches the girl on his arms and she passes out.

GAME!

Mario rushes to check on Dawn, worried he hurt her a bit too much. To his and the others' relief, she only got her clothes a bit rogued, but she's pretty much fine. The strings above her disappear and she opens her eyes and sees Juzo.

"Hey, you're that boxer with the intense aura, but somehow softens when you're near the man in a white suit and a katana" she casually comments. "Don't make me drop you" Juzo says with annoyance.

"She's fine now" Heather rolls her eyes. "Then let's get to Montreal and save Mahiru!" Taka adds. "Can you please let me go with you?" Dawn requests, "I can help you find her with my aura detection skills" she adds.

The seven look at each other, "It beats running around the cities like idiots" Juzo says. "Welcome aboard, girl!" Dixie chirps. "Thank you so much!" the moonchild smiles.

With Dawn joining them for the time being, the team heads back to the airport and takes a flight to Montreal.

40 minutes later

Once they've arrived at the St. Hubert airport in Montreal, the eight head towards La Ronde, an amusement park located on St. Helena Island. Using Dawn's aura skill, they find Dawn in the family and children area.

Dixie notices Mahiru taking constant photos at the attendees but actually she's just blinding with a barrage of camera flashes. And as if things couldn't get worse, Japan's Smash pocket reacts and a Smash orb comes out. The orb of the Swordfighter catches Mahiru off guard and powers her up.

The Ultimate Photographer receives a sword and turns to challenge the team. Kiyotaka bravely takes a step ahead and accepts the duel.

Taka and Mahiru get into battle stances as the rest of the team and the attendees watch.

Kiyotaka vs Mahiru

FIGHT!

Mahiru launches a Gale Strike towards Taka, who takes the hit but doesn't flinch given that he used Straight Lunge and the move has super armor. Mahiru is struck by the attack and crashes against one carousle's entrance. The photographer relented by this attack and tried her hand again with a Gale Stab.

Ishimaru jumps out of the way and hits Mahiru back with Jolt Haymaker. The photographer gets launched again to the carousel. Angered, she tries to attack Taka with a side smash attack. The moral compass parries the hit and gets out of the way to return the attack, it went wrong, very wrong.

Mahiru only made a feint to lure Kiyotaka into her real attack: Blade Counter. Taka receives knockback from the move and is launched a bit into the air. His opponent doesn't waste any time and follows with a Hero's Spin, slashing Taka several times before sending him towards the heroes.

Mario helps Taka to get up, "I believe in you!" Mario yells, Taka drops jaw a bit but quickly smiles and thanks the plumber before returning to fight Mahiru. The girl prepares another Blade Counter, but Kiyotaka lures her into using the move with another Jolt Haymaker.

Mahiru looks at Taka, baffled that he barely missed her. But that split second and the cooldown from the attack was what the man needed to unleash one of his strongest moves: K.O. Uppercut.

The photographer feels the crushing blow and rockets to the sky before falling again, Trevor quickly uses his training from over a year and catches her before she would have landed hard on the ground.

GAME!

Kiyotaka sighs after the battle and quickly rushes to check on the opponent he just defeated. To his relief, Mahiru opened her eyes the moment the strings disappeared. "What happened? Why do I feel as if I were hit by a truck?" she mutters.

Mahiru takes a look around and sees she's in Trevor's arms, blushing, she gets off the man and quickly demands an explanation. After Juzo (to his annoyance) explained everything to her, she stayed in utter shock for a few seconds before glaring at Taka for the beatdown. Kiyoraka quickly apologizes and the girl just sighs and thanks him for saving her. "We'll make sure to treat your wounds. Everyone we have fought has also been sore from the battles" Japan comments.

"We only have Canada left! Let's get to Ottawa and beat some sense into him!" Heather smirks. "Wait? Is Mahiru also coming?" Dawn asks. The seven look at each other before nodding.

"Where are we going this time?" Dixie wonders, "To the University of Ottawa" Japan replies.

With another hero rescued and traveling with them, the now nine-member team head to the Montreal's Bus Terminal and head to Ottawa.

2 hours and 20 minutes later

After leaving the bus terminal, the nine quickly head to the Morisset Library at the University of Ottawa, where Canada is terrorizing students with the help of his bear friend.

Dawn locates Canada at the entrance of the library and everyone rushes to confront him. Upon hearing footsteps coming his way, Canada turns around and gets ready to fight. "I will take on him," Japan said.

"Just be careful, Japan. You told us that he is as strong as America" Mario comments. Japan thanks his friend for caring about him and readies his war fan.

Japan and Canada stare at each other with intense battle auras.

Japan vs Canada

FIGHT!

Japan performs a Fan Throw to Canada who simply sidesteps out of the way and runs to his opponent with the intention of tackling him. However this was a bait for Japan to trip him while he ran. Canada falls to the ground but quickly gets up and tries to lariat Japan.

The older country sees this and quickly ducks and hits Canada with an open palm on his left side. Canada gasps of pain and stops his tracks. As Japan attempts to kick Canada in the chin, the younger nation catches his knee and elbows Japan's right knee.

Japan yelps in total pain and falls to the floor while the rest of the heroes and other bystanders watch in utter horror, the team never have seen Canada being as ruthless as now. The only nation of this team doesn't let pain get in the way and quickly gets up. He unsheathed his katana and runs to Canada.

As soon as the two clash, the others can only describe the scene as a brutal exchange of punches, kicks and sword slashes. Japan manages to land precisely slashes on Canada to leave him stunned in pain. But at the same time, he also feels the pain of the punches and kicks Canada got on him. Despite the pain, Japan refuses to give up and gets ready for Canada's next move.

With Canada badly injured due to the slashes, he attempts to grab Japan to suplex him. It went as the rest of the team expected. Japan parried the grab and counters him with a Judo throw, sending Canada towards the stairs of the library.

Canada passes out and the strings controlling him vanish

GAME!

Japan quickly runs to aid Canada and is relieved when he opens his eyes. The freed hero looks around and quickly deduces he's in Ottawa. "Japan? Weren't we in Niagara Falls?" he asks. Before Japan could respond, Juzo of all people butts in "Long story short, you and these two girls you see here were killed by that bitch-ass deity and got revived to do his bidding. We're saving you by kicking your asses" he smirks as he points at Dawn and Mahiru.

Canada quickly realizes something, "Wait, are Makoto and Owen…?", but Mario comforts him with his answer, "No worries, they were the first to be rescued!". "And I happily lent a hand in rescuing Makoto!" Juzo smugly adds. "Dude, that doesn't help" Dixie rolls her eyes.

"With Canada rescued, we have saved 13 of our friends! But we should head to the next…" Taka's hopeful speech is cut short when the sky begins to flash. For a few seconds, Galeem appeared far away in the sky and released an orb of light that traveled down and landed at a place not so far from the heroes.

"What was that?!" Mahiru asks, "Maybe a little something from that freak for beating up his cronies" Heather frowns. "It landed on the green area next to the International Office of this school!" Canada exclaims.

"Then let's get going! We have to stop anything that came from Galeem!" Trevor readies his hook swords and takes the lead. The rest follows him with Taka and Heather helping Canada to move as he still was a bit sore from the beatdown.

Thirteen heroes rescued, but now a new threat looms over Ottawa. With time to spare, the now ten-member team heads to the site of landing.

Heroes rescued: 13

To be continued…

Now with Dawn, Mahiru and Canada rescued, the team heads to whatever Galeem sent to them. Stay tuned!
