The woman leaped back and waved a few handsigns.
"Water Style:Water Hydra Jutsu". An unknown jutsu to Hayato.
Then a serpent-like monster was formed from the sea with 6 heads and the woman moved to the center of it.Yet, since it was night, it's detailed appearance could be barely seen.
"S-she doesn't care if her men see her doing jutsu? So it is true that ninjutsu isn't uknown to humans in this era. Just like back when the incident in Satsuma's happened, regular soldiers seemed familiar with Hattori chakra-waves!" Hayato thought.
Immediately, one of the water monster's head tried to hit him from above but he also leaped back and evaded it. He answered to her attack by throwing kunais which after they were thrown they were engulfed with lightning .
Surprisingly none of the kunai fully penetrated the water beast. Yet the light from the lightning illuminated more clearly the woman's jutsu. It revealed that the water beast was actually made of muddy water.
Meanwhile, the pirates on the ship lined up on the ship's deck and prepared to fire their muskets.Though she noticed them and shouted:
"FOOLS DONT FIRE YOUR BOOMSTICKS!"
Hayato noticed the men who were ready to open fire.
"If an attack like a lightning-infused kunai can't work on this jutsu then why did she ordered her men to not fire? Could she be afraid that there is a possibility to hit her? What could those stuff do to against this jutsu ? Hmmm, strange... " Hayato wondered .
Instantly, a whirlpool formed below him and a something like jaws made from water appeared around it. Then very quickly the " jaws" closed and formed a dome around Hayato, trapping him inside it.
"Well, you know what?" Hayato stated and instantly activated his sage mode. Suddenly then, a wave from natural energy was emitted from his body, blasting the water dome into droplets.
Hayato activated his Sharingan for a bit. As he zoomed with his dojutsu in the beast in order to find a weakness, he noticed that along with the water chakra that formed the beast, bits of earth chakra could be also seen moving through the beast and acting like shields.He then deactivated it.
"Could this be the reason why my kunai didn't penetrate this monster or the electricity wasn't conducted through it?Perhaps those earth chakra bits give the monster this muddy look and work like incubators."he thought.
As soon as he broke of the water dome, another head charged at him and then divided into many small heads that were much more versatile. He repelled them using the frog kumite, but the little serpent-like heads were so fast that they had him on his toes.They continuesly charged at him on and on, but he successfully defended using the same technique.
Hayato understood that he couldn't repel the tiny hydra heads which were coming consecutively at him for much longer, so he thought of something.
"Well... It seems that my clone has delivered the message to Aki." he thought as he checked the map in his HUD.
He then threw a smoke bomb on the surface of the water, hiding his presence. After the smoke cleared, another of his weird clones appeared in his place with the word "WATER" enscripred on his forehead.
"Wait WHAT? Wha-? D-did you just transform?!" the woman asked confused.
"Hmmmmmm... Perhaps..." the clone coldly answered.
She continued to attack the clone with the tiny hydra heads. Then one of those heads spat a clone of her's and without losing any time, her clone stood up and engaged Hayato's clone in close combat. Hayato's clone couldn't keep up with both the heads and her clone and eventually his head got chopped of by her sword. Blood spurted from his neck, which made the woman think that he killed the original Hayato.
"THAT'S IT! I GOT HIM!" she naively celebrated.
Yet, the clone's body turned into water and her celebration ended quickly.
Then, the actual Hayato popped from inside the sea holding a senbon in each hand. His fingers emitted something like a blue-ish light which seamed like fire but it also had purple lightning branches that looked like a jellyfish's tentacles.
He infused the senbon with this peculiar light and threw them at her. As soon as they left his hands they instantly penetrated the water beast and stabbed her neck, completely destroying the metallic piece that protected her neck. It was like the senbon teleported at her.There were wires tied to them as well.
Her jutsu instantly collapsed after the senbon hit her neck. She fell on the surface of the sea and she tried to stand, but in vain. It was like a hundred wasps stung her neck.
"Well that was a pretty damn cool jutsu!Definitely one of the strongest water jutsu I've ever seen! " Hayato congratulated her.
"So it seems that the earth chakra bits on the water beast can't deflect high-speed, thin and small objects. My kunai though couldn't pass through, probably because they weren't as thin and small as my senbon. Thank goodness I tied those senbon to wires and halted their course, 'cause they would have blown your torso into pieces!" he stated.
" SHOOT HIM! "she yelled as her voice cracked several times.
" SHOOT THIS MOTHERFUCKER! "she shouted again.
Responding to her command, several pirate musketeers appeared once again on the ship's deck. They aimed their muskets at him and fired a huge volley. Hayato didn't even try to evade them and most of the musketballs hit him.Or... Did they?
"W-wait that's not him! That's an afterima-" and just as she finished her thoughts she took a huge blow from her left, senting her flying.
"Look... uhmm ma'am I... Don't want to continue this anymore soooo... please calmly surrender." Hayato advised her, since he didn't want to inflict to her any serious damage that could prevent her from answering questions.He needed her alive.
The woman did not respond
immediately, got up, channeled chakra through her sword and used it as a cane to balance herself on the water
" J-just shut the fuck up!You talk to much!"she yelled and pulled out the senbon that were into her throat.
" You almost fucking killed me with these shits, cocky bastard!"she said while showing him the senbon.
"Tsch! Like hell I'm going to go easy on someone that kills children and crucifies people. Look, I've done some not-so-great stuff in my life as well, but you ma'am are a different breed!" Hayato answered to her sarcastically.
The woman became even more frustrated and shouted:
" WHO THE FUCK YATHINK YA ARE?!I AM SURE THAT YOU ARE JUST A MERE PEASANT THAT WANTS ATTENTION!NOW SHUT UP AND DIE!"
After she finished those words, a clone of her, covered in paper bombs appeared underneath Hayato,swimming towards him from the depths of the sea.He noticed her clone but it was too late to evade it. The clone instantly exploded creating a huge blast.
" That's it! This time I got him undoubtedly!" the woman celebrated once again.
When the smoke from the blast cleared, there was nothing on the surface of the sea, but a wood log.
She panicked. Where could he have gone? Could he had went underneath the surface?She prepared to defend against an underwater attack. Yet she heard something behind her, very close to her:
"Not so good getting beaten up by a peasant then, no?" Hayato once again sarcastically said and he quickly slapped her head, launching her several meters away. Her samurai helmet and mask slowly crumbled as well, revealing her face Thankfully she wasn't dead, she just lost her senses.
Her body was floating on the sea like a bag of potatoes. Perhaps she died?Hayato panicked as well for a bit. Perhaps he overdid it?
Hayato tried to approach her but something strange happened. Two beings, that seemed like silhouettes were formed around her. They both kneeled to check on her and then poked her shoulder.
"Holy shit you killed her dude!" said one of the silhouettes said and giggled.
"Ok Hayato, I think you have flexed enough but deep inside, you know that she made you kinda sweat."mocked the other one.
" Oh no! Not again! "he thought as he started to panick again.
" Do not let them overpower you!"he thought to himself.
Hayato opened and closed his eyes consecutively but both of the silhouettes were there.He shaked multiple times his head, but the silhouettes wouldn't dissappear.
" KNOCK IT OFF DAMN IT! "he yelled in frustration.
He understood then that as much as he continued panicking the silhouettes wouldn't dissappear. Hayato tried to calm himself by taking deep breaths, slowly making the silhouettes to fade.
Now, Hayato finally managed to approach her and turned over her body, which was slowly sinking into the sea.Her face was surprisingly cute, contradicting her vulgar speech. Her brunette short hair were painted red from her blood and there was also a scar on her nose.
He then grabbed her and placed her firmly on the sand. Hayato turned his head to check on the ship only to see that the ship abandoned her captain and fled. Without losing any time he rushed at the sea, placed his hand on the water and he once again formed a water clone.
"Go get 'em! Don't kill anyone though." Hayato ordered his clone and he in response nodded affirmatively. At the blink of an eye, Hayato' s water clone disappeared and landed on the ship's deck.
Sounds of men shouting could be heard from the ship and they suddenly stopped. So did the ship's course. The clone got his job done in almost no time and he wouldn't leave the ship until the army arrived and capture the pirates.
Hayato felt exhausted as hell, since those peculiar clones took a lot of chakra to form. He then took a look at her.
"She is definitely ANBU material!" he thought to himself.
Now, Hayato could lie down on the sand and relax a bit. His first day on the current era was surely eventful and he thought that the Otsutsuki probably already knew that he was alive.He was also curious to know if their contact with the human civilization changed them and if it did how did it change them?
Aki seemed a pretty chill and eager person and she appeared to be someone that could be trusted.Her words about defending Satsuma at all cost echoed in Hayato's mind. He wondered how could an Otsutsuki bond with humans so well in order to say such words. Well... that was a silly question to ask to himself. All he had to do to answer that question was to look over his right shoulder...
However, he refused to fully trust Aki yet, since what he knew was that the Otsutsuki work in the most deceitful ways in order to accomplish their goals. Hayato unfortunately learned that in the worst way possible...
