Chapter 5.

After his very pleasant breakfast with Anna and Alicia, Bell decided to finally start his day and register to the guild.

Normal POV.

He started to make his way to the main street, he noticed that this was the street he first met his allies, namely both Aiz and Anna.

"What's this feeling...? Even though it's only've been a week, it felt like it happened a long time ago..."

He then slowed down his pace while enjoying the lively scenery of the city, he slowly came across the apartment he stayed in when he first came to Orario, and then shortly after that is the Plaza.

"We met again, newcomer." A familiar voice of a girl rang out from behind. He turned around and saw the only person who's willing to help him during those days that no adventurer was willing to accept and talk to him.

"Alise-san..." Their eyes met, and Alise could tell that he wants to say something.

But they were interrupted when a lady clad in a beautiful yukata appeared behind Alise. Bell noticed how much attention she's attracting and he already knew why. This girl was drop dead gorgeous has this pressence around her that makes you want to kneel down whenever she's around.

"Ara... I never thought that Alise was seeing a man, dear. I know that our goddess started to open up on this but isn't this way too fast C-A-P-T-A-I-N?" In contrast to her appearance, she had a very sharp toungue and a little bit rude attitude.

"No, remember the one I told you? He's that person, the adventurer whom I brought to Finn the other day. Bell Cranel." She said with a rather simple but genuine looking smile. This made Kaguya smirk and eye the boy.

"Oohh... You are a sword user aren't you? And from the looks of it, you started to train at a very young age and fight without a Falna."

Bell got frightened by her sudden movement, closing the gap between them in a blink of an eye, but after taking a deep breath. He realized that her observation skills are very impressive.

"Yes but how did you know..?"

"This" She grabbed both of his hands which made him blush. Alise also got surprised by her actions and had her jaw dropped since she knew what kind of habbits Kaguya has.

"This is a hand of a true swordsman, a hand that tells you how many times he had swung his sword and how many times he's practiced his skills. And this is the first time I saw this kinds of hands at a boy at your age. Tell me, how old are you?" Her eyes narrowed as she questioned him.

But before Bell could answer, they were interrupted by a women or a goddess to be exact that made the boy blush even more.

"What's going on here, Kaguya, Alise? We need to hurry up and submit this to the guild." Astrea said while eyeing the three of them.

""Sorry, we're coming."" The two girl said in unison.

"Sorry Bell, something urgent came up and we have to go to the guild right now, later!" Alise said as she and Kaguya followed their goddess.

Bell was about to tell them that he was also headed towards the guild but decided against it since his heart was still beating fast by the sight of the goddess earlier.

" So that was Astrea-sama... " He thought before starting to walk towards the guild.

As he arrived at the building, the person in the entrance asked him what business he has at the guild, after answering that he wants to register as an adventurer and already has a familia, he escorted him to the counter where a pink haired girl with a smug look on her face was waiting.

"You can ask her for the registration papers. I will return to my post now, please excuse me." He slightly bowed before returning to the entrance.

"Good morning, how may I help you? By the way my name is Misha. Nice to meet you sir." Said the girl.

"My name is Bell. Bell Cranel and I would like to register as an adventurer, could you please give me a registration paper?"

"Yes but before I do that let me ask you one thing. Which Familia do you belong?"

"I'm from the Loki Familia."

Everyone adventurer from the room halted when they heard him say "Loki Familia", laughter soon errupted and they started to make fun of him which he did not like.

"Oh I see, but could you please ask a member of a your Familia accompany you? You see, many adventurers uses this familia and Freya familia's name when registering to the guild for reasons that I don't want to talk about so if you don't mind, we need a proof that you are with them. Any member of their familia is fine. So please comeback later." She said apologetically with a slight bow.

Bell wore a solemn look on his face. After being laughed at and made fun of, he decided to leave the guild but a person grabbed his wrist before calling out his name.

"Where are you going? You're going to finish your registration right now newcomer." The girl behind him said sweetly and when he turned around, he saw her emerald green eyes and beautiful smile.

"He is a member of Loki Familia Misha-san, I can guarantee it because I'm the one who recomended him to Finn." She said confidently as she dragged Bell back to the counter with her.

"B-But, that's not enough proof, unless an official member sh-"

"Then I should be more than enough right?"

A very familiar voice echoed through the guild. The person who spoke was holding a staff and has a dirty white cloak over her green clothes. She has a long pointed ears that is much higher than any other elves and has a very beautiful appearance.

"N-Nine Hell!?" One of the adventurers exclaimed.

"Yes, what Alise said right now were all true, she was the one who recomended this young man to us and we saw no problem on recruiting him. Is that enough?"

Thanks to the combined appearance of Riveria and Alise, the guild finally accepted his registration as a rookie adventurer under the Goddess Loki. The registration was sure long but Bell did not mind since he didn't really have any plans in mind.

"Thanks for your help Alise-san and Riveria-san too..."

"You're welcome Bell. Anyway I gotta go now, Astrea-sama and Kaguya was waiting for me outside. Let's chat sometimes okay? Bye!" She then left the two inside the guild.

"Do you have any plans after this?" Riveria suddenly asked him.

After explaining that he has no plan after the registration today, Riveria asked him if he could accompany her to Hange's workshop to pickup some useful Hightech Items. But having heard it for the first time, Bell asked the high elf what it is.

"You should probably ask her yourself, it is a little difficult to answer since I'm not that good at modern things." She replied.

After that, they made small chats about hia experience before and after entering the Familia. But Riveria noticed something suspicious and took a note of it in her mind. She also congratulated him when she heard that he already made friends with Anna and especially with Alicia.

"I'm surprised that she opened up to you, she's a very reserved type of person and doesn't trust anyone without knowing anything about them. Let alone make a breakfast just for you..." She smiled gently as she saw an image of Bell and Alicia eating together at their home.

"Really? I thought she was kind to everyone, she really looked like a very gentle and carring person to me... Ah! We're here..!" Bell said in surprise as he didn't realize that they've been walking that long.

After knocking a few times, Hange Zoe finally made an appearance but...

"W-W-WWHAT-"

"COVER YOUR EYES BELL!!"

"Hmmm...? What's wrong..?"

Hange stood in front of her door with nothing but a unbottoned shirt and her underwear, still feeling sleepy. She still haven't realize that she was exposing herself too much until Riveria yelled at her.

"H-Hey!! Put some clothes on and also, WAKE UP!! It's almost noon already!!" Riveria yelled while blushing furiously which rarely happens.

Finally realizing what's happening, Hange covered herself up and slammed the door shut with such a force, she then screamed when she realized that a boy saw her almost naked.

"I-I'm sorry! I just pulled an all nighter because of the orders Finn made yesterday!! And also... BELL! FORGET WHAT YOU SAW EARLIER ALRIGHT!!??" She said while dressing herself up inside.

Bell was still red all over while Riveria managed to regain her composure. Minutes later, Hange finally let them in and was now completely dressed with her usual attire.

"Welcome, let me guess. You are here to pick up the order right?" She asked straight to the point to avoid getting embarassed by what happened earlier.

"Yes, and as promised here is half the payment of our order." Riveria placed a bag of Valis at the table.

"Okay I'll get your order."

While waiting, Bell decided to scan the room. He then saw a bunch of weird equipments that piqued his interest. But the one he eyed the most was the small looking sword hilt.

"Oh are you interested in those? It's good to know but I probably won't recomend buying it. It is a very niche type of equipment and was not very practical. That's why I never make weapons anymore." Hange finally brought the order out and Bell was surprised by it since he expected something awesome.

"Thanks for the stove, but how does this work?" The high elf asked.

"It's very simple, there is an oil tank at the right side of it. You just need to put oil in there and turn this one to the right. Then put a fire in front of this aaaand! There you can now cook with it! With this, you don't have to risk your camp being unguarded since you don't have to gather woods right?"

After the little explanation, Bell and Riveria stayed for the moment, taking a look at the items before finally taking their leave, heading back to their home.

Top of Babel.

Goddess Freya finally finished her plan to take Bell from Loki. As she smiled down at the boy walking alongside the high elf that she finds irritating for some reason, she took a sip from her wine before talking to Ottarl.

"During their expedition, we will take action and grab this opportunity to grasp him. As for Loki, I'll deal with her myself. I have a few things up my sleeve for her and if she still refuses so, I'll send her back home..."

Twilight Manor Entrance.

Bell's POV.

As I stepped in front of the guard with Riveria-san, I felt a very intense glare that's directed towards me. I then closed my eyes and tried to pinpoint the location of the person's presence but when I found it, I got surprised and looked back at where they are. At the top of the Babel.

"What's wrong Bell..?" Riveria-san asked me when she saw my face sweating furiously.

"Who lives at the top of the Babel Riveria-san..?"

"Babel? It's goddess Freya, why-wait... Come with me inside, let's hurry to where Loki is... And also you there!" Riveria called to one of the members who's having a sparring with his fellow.

"What is it lady Riveria?" He kneeled in front of the high elf princess.

"Gather all the executives except for Bete, and also call for the high level fours. Hurry!" She ordered before grabbing my arm and dragging me inside.

The walk was silent and fast, we reached Loki's room in less than a minuted and when she slammed the door open, a Loki who's currently having a dilemma on what type of wine to drink was revealed.

"Loki, we have a big problem, and Bell was the one who noticed it. Earlier before we entered the manor, he felt goddess Freya's intense presence from above the Babel directed to him... I think... She has taken a liking to the color of his soul and was planning to take him... By force..." She said bluntly.

"Yes... I felt it from up above the Babel... I felt her longing and lustful gaze directed to me as if she wants to keep me for herself... It was really intense and creepy that I didn't know what to do first when I felt it that strong..."

The executives then arrived at the scene but the captain decided to move into the training room where we can all sit on the floor and talk about things more conveniently because our goddess's room was a big mess. Bottles of empty and still unopened wine were scattered everywhere as well as her regular clothes.

"Okay... Let's get serious. I don't like the idea having one of my childrens taken from me, but I won't protest if they left me on their own will. So let me ask you Bell, now that Freya wants you in her Familia which is the strongest Familia in Orario, do you wish to leave us and convert to them instead? If yes then fine, it's your decision but if no. I'll show Freya what Hell looks like if she take you by force... So answer me."

"I don't care if they are the strongest Familia or what... But if she really wanted me to be in her Familia, why didn't she accept me earlier when I applied to them..? And also, why does it look like you knew what's going to happen next...?" I asked all of them.

"It's been like that eversince Freya started her Familia. When she saw a briliant soul walking in front of her, she'll claim it as if it was originally hers and play with it... That slut..."

Gone was that goofy and playful goddess of ours that constantly tries to grope cute girls she sees, replaced by a serious and very intimidating person. Her sharp eyes tells everything that she's dead set on fighting Freya Familia for my sake which both scares me and put me at ease.

We then heard a knock and when Raul-san opened the door, a very very familiar faces was shown to me. The first one which is a girl had her usual smile, and it was as bright as they've always been and the second one was the person I didn't expect to look cool in her what I expect as dungeon exploration clothes.

"Are we late? Finn?"

I decided to take on the Freya arc first because I want to shut her down as soon as possible. I can't let her interfere with Bell's relationship with the girls so it's either I send her back to heaven or imprison her somwhere. I might take the place in the bleach where they sealed Aizen for years. The Muken.
