A/N: I only own the OC

Thank you reviewing! I like hearing what you guys like or don't like about the story.

I woke up the next morning, and was surprised to feel a strong arm around me. I started to freak out when I remembered that Bucky had stayed last night. I saw that it was barely light outside, so I knew that it was still early. Bucky was still sleeping as he was pressed up against me. I felt his breath tickle my neck as he held me tightly. I shifted slightly against him, and rolled to my back. He shifted with me, and laid his head on my shoulder. I don't know why, but I felt like I was seeing a side of him that no one else ever saw. I couldn't help myself as I managed to run my hand through his hair and he gave a soft moan. I knew that he didn't sleep most nights judging by the haunted look and his dark circles under his eyes. I ran my hand through his hair again, and he shot out of the bed. I was startled as he looked around frantically. I could tell that he was in a fight or flight mindset. He felt unsafe.

"Bucky, calm down." I said as I sat up because I wasn't sure how he was about to react. I could tell that he wasn't sure of his surroundings.

"Bucky. It's me, Sarah." I said again as his eyes finally landed on me. He was in a fighting stance and ready for anything.

"You are in my house. You are safe." I said. He was still tense.

"Bucky." I said again and he kept looking at me.

"You are safe." I said and I saw some tension leave his shoulders, but he was still on guard.

"Sarah?" he asked me as he looked around.

"Yes, it's me." I said as he sat down back on the bed. He ran his hands through his hair. I carefully reached out and rubbed his back to soothe him. I could tell that he was very upset. I moved to sit beside him, and he looked over at me.

"It's ok." I reassured him as I could see the inner turmoil.

"I should go." he said and I couldn't help but chuckle.

"Bucky, it's 6 am. Lay back down." I said and he looked at me surprised.

"I just tried to hurt you." he said and I shrugged.

"You got startled... it happens to anyone." I said and he sighed.

"I don't want to hurt you." he said and I smirked.

"Bucky, I'm already hurt, and it could have been worse if you weren't there." I said and he looked at me surprised.

"Yes, you helped me, and now you need to lay your ass back down. You need more sleep." I told him and he sighed, but smirked. He laid back down and I got up to get Tylenol.

"Are you not laying back down?" he frantically asked me and I yawned as I was trying to answer.

"I am, but I need some Tylenol. I'm hurting." I said and he nodded before laying down. I laid back down and I was still very tired as I got comfortable. I felt Bucky's knuckles brush up against mine. I knew that he wanted someone close. I rolled over on my side and laid my hand on his arm. I rubbed it in a soothing manner, and I fell asleep listening to him snoring softly a few minutes later.

Bucky POV

I woke up next to Sarah. I was facing her and she looked so peaceful. I carefully moved some hair out of her face as I saw the bruise on her face from where she fell last night. I carefully got up out of the bed, and stretched. I walked into the living room and felt the cat rub up against me. I petted him before spotting her coffee machine. I was glad that coffee was sitting next to the machine and I started the coffee. I glanced at the time and it was well past 10 am. I found eggs and bacon in her fridge. I wasn't sure why, but I wanted to cook her breakfast.

I quietly found a pan and started to fry the bacon. I heard something behind me and I turned to see Sarah coming up to me. I quickly poured her a mug of coffee and handed it to her.

"Thank you." she said as she seemed surprised.

"I wanted to thank you for letting me sleep here last night." I said as I motioned to the food. She gave a small smile as she sipped the coffee.

"I didn't know you could cook." she said and I smirked.

"They didn't have food delivery or fast food when I was growing up." I reminded her and she smirked. I finished cooking and handed her a plate of food. We sat down and ate in a peaceful silence.

"That was great, Bucky." she said and I couldn't help but smile. I wasn't used to people telling me I had actually done a good job. I helped her clean up before heading to my apartment. I walked into my apartment and realized how lonely I had been. I guess that I did need friends. I also hadn't slept that well in a long time... I did need people around, but I wasn't going to admit that to Sarah right now.

Sarah POV

I was sitting in my living room that night with Chelsea. She had brought over pizza and I was glad for a girls night as we sipped on beers.

"So he just slept next to you?" she asked me and I nodded.

"Yes, Chelsea... people can enjoy each others company without getting naked." I said and she chuckled.

"He's not bad looking." she said and I smirked.

"I don't know... he's just Bucky." I said and she smirked.

"At least he's graduated from 'That asshole' to Bucky." she said and I started laughing. I guess that he had done that. I was having fun talking to Chelsea, but I couldn't help but wonder what Bucky was doing tonight.
