AN: I'm back with another Chapter. And I can tell you right now, the restarted story for this one is a lot better. It's going very nicely. :D
Iruka and Naruto were standing in the field, waiting for the idiot Mizuki to get to where they were, feeling his chakra signature get closer and closer. They were talking, playing out their parts with an ease that came from long days of talking and connecting, Iruka acting as if he was trying to get the scroll back from his young student.
It was a swish of kunai coming through the air that told them that Mizuki had arrived, forcing them to part with a quick leap, Naruto hissing when one kunai sliced his jacket and into his arm just slightly while Iruka grunted, a kunai hitting his side and piercing his flank just slightly.
"Damn fucker," Naruto growled, yanking off his jacket and rubbing at his arm even as it healed slowly before his eyes. "Well, that's new," he snorted, Iruka chuckling as he yanked the kunai out of his side and tossing it aside.
"Little bastard, just couldn't stay still, could you?" Mizuki snorted as the two looked up at him in his perch on a tree limb. Naruto stuck his tongue out with a sneer.
"Nah, I don't think so. I do so hate standing still," Naruto snorted, sneering at his supposed teacher, flipping the man off before dodging the barrage of kunai that came at him.
"Oh, come now, Mizuki. Did you really think that your stupidity wouldn't be discovered in some way?" Iruka snorted, as Mizuki grabbed a large shiriken from his back, spinning it a bit before he sneered.
"Aw, come now my dear Iruka," Mizuki purred, leering down at the other man and getting a dark glare, "I've never done anything to hurt you. I'm surprised that you're even near the creature."
Iruka snorted. "What creature? I see no creature here," he stated, Mizuki's mouth twisting from the leer to a sneer.
"I'm surprised that you would get so close to the..." Mizuki started before he was forced to dodge a kunai tossed by Iruka.
"I would suggest you keep your mouth shut lest your punishment turns out worse than what you are going to face," Iruka warned, narrowing his eyes at the other man.
"Iruka, do you worry about me now? We've never been that close...outside of the need for a good fuck," Mizuki purred, Naruto pulling a face.
"You slept with the dirt?" Naruto asked, voice teasing as Iruka huffed and rolled his eyes. "I'm surprised at you, Iruka-kun. I've seen the guy who runs the Interrogation unit eyeing you a few times and I have a feeling he wouldn't mind a tumble or two with you if you wanted sex."
"It was only a couple of times, Naruto," Iruka snorted, rolling his eyes as Mizuki snarled and narrowed his eyes at them. "And the sex wasn't that great. I've had better with less experienced partners," he purred, smirking at the growl that came from the man. As Mizuki charged them, Naruto and Iruka dodged and started to speed through the trees, splitting off and knowing that the idiot would try for Naruto, or the one that he thought was Naruto at the least.
Mizuki snarled as he followed after a flash of black, orange and blond, eyes narrowed as he pulled off the other large shiriken from his back, landing in the field and smirking at the other male, getting a smirk in return.
"Just hand over the scroll, Naruto," he purred, blue eyes narrowing before Naruto smirked and stood up in his spot.
"Alright," Naruto chuckled, pulling the large scroll off of his back and tossing it over to him. Mizuki smirked and cackled as he stroked the scroll before frowning at the snort from the supposed blond male. "You are a right idiot, Mizuki," he said, eyes glowing. "Not only were you good in bed but you suck at seeing the truth before you."
"What?" Mizuki squawked before he looked down, finding not a scroll in his hands but a log the same size and shape of it with several exploding tags on it. He tossed it into the air and ducked down just in time as it exploded, making him grunt under the shockwave and the feeling of a bit of jagged wood jab into one leg, the wetness of his blood sliding down his leg. "You...little bitch...You fuckin' demon," he ground out as he stood up, favoring his leg for a moment before putting his weight on it finally.
"Who me?" Naruto chuckled before leering, smoke surrounding him and with a pop Iruka stood there before him. "I'm not the demon. Naruto isn't either, that's for sure. You see, I know the truth. The full truth. I'm actually one of the few people that do know the truth about our dear Naruto-kun."
"He's a demon! He's the fuckin' Kuyuubi! How can you stand him?" Mizuki sneered, eyes narrowed as he reached down and tested the wound on his thigh, finding it not too bad, at least not something that would stop him.
Iruka just raised an eyebrow and smirked, the look sending a jolt of heat through Mizuki, forcing him to squash it hard so he didn't get hard. There would be time enough to find a partner once he got the real scroll and took it to his real master. He would mourn the ability to take Iruka to bed when he wanted, but he had no doubt he could find a substitute for a time.
"You're an idiot." The words were stated and teasing, drawing the man from his thoughts. Iruka's face was playful and sharp, showing just why he was the Hokage's personal Chunnin, the one out of all of them that had the man's ear and was a trusted confidant. "You don't get it do you? Naruto holds the Kyuubi back, just as the last vessel did and the vessel before they did and so on and so on for so many generations," he stated, shaking his head and looking sorrowful that Mizuki was truly that stupid.
"What the fuck are you talking about?" Mizuki snarled, brown eyes turning to him, half lidded and cold.
"If Naruto was the Kyuubi, he would have long ago killed the village, long ago escaped from everyone and Konohagakure would be nothing more than a crater and a memory," Iruka said, voice cold and sending shivers of worry up and down Mizuki's back. "Not only that but the Hokage would never allow a dangerous creature like the Kyuubi stay alive if he could. Naruto holds it back, holds it chained and keeps this blind village safe. And his reward? A teacher that no one would expect," he finished.
Mizuki's eyes widened at the feeling of the edge of a tanto at his neck and the sharp edged chakra signature that all ANBU cultivated right behind him. He swallowed as Naruto dropped next to Iruka with a smirk on his whiskered cheeks, stroking the band of the scroll that crossed over his chest.
"Mizuki, I would like to introduce to you ANBU Sparrow, my new tutor and the one that had been assigned to catching you," Naruto snorted, Mizuki snarling as a needle slipped into his neck and darkness filled his vision as he fell under the powerful sedative. "Outside of the run...that was boring," Naruto whined, getting a chuckle from Iruka.
"A well planned mission does tend to be rather boring when it goes well. Luckily for us, I've trained with Mizuki often enough for me to know how to take him down and what buttons to push to piss him off," Iruka said, ruffling Naruto's hair before reaching into his vest pocket, pulling out a new hiate, the cloth black and the emblem perfectly etched. "As promised, your first A-ranked mission is not only worth 190 thousand yen, but also the rank as genin," he stated, handing over the hiate as Sparrow trussed up the traitor Mizuki.
"Congratulations, brat," Sparrow chuckled, mussing up Naruto's hair and getting a happy smile as the young male pulled off his goggles and tied the hiate loosely around his neck.
"Thanks, Sparrow. Does this mean I'll get to see under the mask and find out who you are then?" he asked, rocking on his feet. He could almost feel the eye roll that was under the mask.
"Yes, but not tonight. I must take the traitor to Ibiki-san," Sparrow stated, smoothing a hand through the blond hair, watching it look a bit more limp without the goggles helping it stay upright. "We'll go shopping to get you some new clothes to match that hiate of yours. Especially since you know how to henge," he teased, getting a pout.
"I'll take him to the Hokage, drop off the scroll, then take him home and drop by Ibiki-san's office afterwards, if you could tell him?" Iruka requested.
"Yes, I can do so," Sparrow hummed, before disappearing with Mizuki. Iruka and Naruto did go to the Hokage's office, which was the cue to call off the supposed hunt for Naruto, but the older male was waylaid slightly to get his wounds cleaned and wrapped before they were able to go to Naruto's apartment. Once that was done, the tired teacher headed to Ibiki's office.
He spent the next hour writing out a comprehensive report and then go over it with the interrogation expert, missing the appreciative glances he got as he tried to fight off the need for a bed and sleep.
