Haruka yawned as she woke up from her sleep without an alarm. Her body clock had adjusted so she wakes up everyday at 6 am.

She groggily tried to remember the events of last night. It felt like a blur, having drunk 5 bottles of beer and eating three boxes worth of chicken... Which Hawks bought. How did she end up in her room? She didn't even remember the movie finishing.

Haruka blinked and rubbed her eyes. Her other hand hugged the plushie she had been sleeping with even tighter.

What Haruka didn't expect though, was the supposed plushie... Grunting.

Haruka stilled and panicked.

She slowly noticed the hand on her waist. Her oversized white t-shirt had ridden up, and Haruka shivered at the skin-on-skin contact. The hand felt big... Like a man's hand...

Oh no... Oh no no no...

Haruka tried to retrace the steps of last night. She didn't ever remember seeing another man besides Hawks last night...

She felt the body next to her stir. Haruka gasped as the strong hand that was on her waist hugged her even tighter to his body.

"Eek!" Haruka squeaked, blushing as her face met a familiar white t-shirt. The man groaned as Haruka fumbled around in panic.

"Good morning, Haruka-chan." He yawned. Haruka's eyes widen in realization...

It was Hawks.

"H-H-Hawks! H-How did--" Haruka stuttered in panic, only to get cut off by Hawks' groan as he nuzzled even closer to her neck.

"You're a strong hugger..." He explained tiredly and dozed off again. Haruka gaped.

"Oh..."

"And you're warm, Haruka-chan." Haruka blushed at this and stopped struggling. She gave a sigh as they hugged on her bed, enjoying the calm morning.

The large bed was basked in sunlight with the two pro heroes in the middle of it, comfortably under the covers of Haruka's white comforter. Hawks who had his back to Haruka's large window was glowing from the sunlight from behind, His hair reflecting the rays and Haruka couldn't help to lift her hand that somehow had found his chest to touch his hair, curious about his hair. It looked very soft.

Her hand slowly touched a strand of his fluffy hair.

"It's so floofy..." Haruka whispered in wonder as her fingers brushed further into his hair and slowly massaged his scalp. Haruka kept repeating the motion as she felt his soft hair.

Hawks groaned in delight as his head followed her fingers who kept brushing his hair. Haruka suddenly stopped and Hawks gave a little whine.

"Haruka-chan..."

"O-Oh sorry, I--" Haruka's hand retreated as she apologized, but Hawks' free hand that wasn't holding her waist quickly held hers and put it back in his hair.

"It feels good..." He sighed contentedly as Haruka started brushing his hair again.

"Hmm, I thought you disliked it." Haruka giggled as she fiddled with a strand of his hair.

"I never said that..." Hawks argued. Haruka just laughed it off, forgetting her earlier worries.

"You're such a baby..."

"Mmm..."

The two were silent in comfort after that, Hawks still hugging Haruka as her eyes followed the rising sun outside the window. She stopped brushing his hair again in thought.

"Don't you have work today?" Haruka asked as she looked up to his face. Haruka thought he slept, but surprisingly he gave a hum at her question.

"Hmm, they let me have an off day today. I've worked non-stop for two weeks, you know?"

"I see.."

"Mmhm..."

Silence took over again. Haruka snuggled closer to her friend who was resting peacefully on her bed.

"Hawks?"

"Yes?"

"...What happened last night?" Haruka asked uncertainly. Hawks yawned again and sighed as he answered,

"You got drunk on chicken and beer again."

"Not surprised... Anything else?" Haruka asked again, curious. Hawks slowly opened his eyes.

"Well, you cried--" Hawks listed off, Haruka gasped. "What?!"

"Calm down, Haruka-chan," Hawks patted her shoulder to calm her down.

"B-But--"

"Sweetheart, let me finish," Hawks softly put a finger to her mouth to stop her from cutting him off,

"I guessed you saw that interview of mine and had a lot of thoughts..." At this, Haruka's wide eyes met his. "And you asked me if I believed what that interviewer," Hawks spat, "Asked me."

Haruka went silent at that, her turquoise eyes hazy while they looked at him searchingly.

"...Do you?"

Hawks gave a chuckle.

"I said this last night and I'll say it again, I believe you more than her. I've noticed that you don't really like telling stories about your past... But if you're ready..." Hawks repeated, Haruka's eyes widen in recognition, remembering.

"You'll be there to listen..." She said softly. Hawks nodded, confirming.

Haruka's eyes water as emotions bubbled inside her. She let out a sniffle.

"Haruka-chan..." Hawks said worriedly, hand ready to wipe her tears. She quickly hid her face in his chest, avoiding to look at his face as she sniffled.

"T-Thank you..." She shyly uttered. Hawks' heart warmed and he sighed. His hand went to the top of her head and patted it soothingly, giving Haruka comfort.

Her sniffles suddenly stopped, and Haruka stilled.

"Since we both ended up in this bed..." Hawks stopped his patting while Haruka held her breath, "Did we... You know--"

"No, you just had me on a lock when I put you to bed." Hawks chuckled.

Haruka looked up to him again and pouted. Hawks faltered on how cute she was, looking up at him with that turquoise eyes of hers and her mouth pouting.

"No more chicken and beer for you," He chuckled and pinched her left cheek. Haruka gave a whine.

"After all of that head patting, you owe me a lot."

"Of course, anything little wittle Haruka-chan wants," He pinched her cheeks wider as He happily leaned closer to her face and nuzzled her nose, "Haruka-chan will get!"

Haruka snorted at the statement and laughed out loud, her hand playfully hitting him lightly on his chest. Hawks joined in her laughter. Her laughter was very contagious and alluring. Her now bright turquoise eyes twinkling in amusement lures him in in her depths.

Shit...

"Want some breakfast?" Haruka asked, still smiling.

"Are you cooking?" Hawks blinked as he asked.

"Do you want me to?" Haruka grinned as she leaned on his left shoulder. His left hand that was around her waist tapped in consideration. Haruka gave a little giggle at the butterfly touch.

"You're ticklish?" He grinned as he tickled her sides. Haruka gasped and giggled.

"Hey!" Haruka laughed again, "I asked you a question!" Hawks pouted and stopped tickling her.

"Fine, let's eat breakfast that you--" Hawks emphasized, pointed to her collarbone, "Are offering to cook."

"So you want me to?"

"Jesus, yes!" Hawks threw his hand to the air, giving up on playing Haruka's mind games.

"Okay, okay, sorry!" Haruka sat up and stretched. Hawks' hand still on her waist.

"I'm cooking breakfast okay. Come out if you're ready for my food," Haruka turned around and scooted to the edge of the bed, letting out each of her legs from under the covers of the comforter. She stood up and straightened her clothes and hair, which was surprisingly still in her braid.

"What are you cooking?" Hawks leaned on his now free arm, his hand holding his head, grinning.

"That's a secret!" Haruka gave a cheeky wink. Hawks gaped, surprised. Haruka went to the door and opened it, and just before she went out she stopped. Her head turned to look at him,

"Try to get some rest, okay?" She smiled, her eyes turned to slits at it, "I know you've been through a lot these two weeks... Just relax and let me take care of you today."

With that, Haruka left the room and closed the door with a click.

Hawks blinked and sighed. He turned his body to completely lay down on his back (his wings are still regrowing), arms spread by his side as he looked at the ceiling in contemplation.

"Just relax and let her take care of me today, huh?" He muttered to himself. His right hand went to his face and rubbed his stubble in contemplation, recounting the events that happened with his friend, Todoroki Haruka.

What just happened?

Let's recount...

1. Hawks has not seen Haruka for two weeks because of his mission.

2. Hawks was interviewed by a nosy interviewer who asked about Haruka's past, which was Haruka's private life.

3. Hawks, being a good friend, went to check up on Haruka who was indeed in a bad mood because she saw the interview.

4. Hawks went and bought three boxes of chicken from Chicken palace and a couple cans of beer to cheer Haruka up.

5. The two ended up watching Chicken Little while eating chicken and drinking beer.

6. Haruka, being a lightweight, got drunk on beer quickly and ended up crying in Hawks' arms.

7. Haruka got tired and slept in Hawks' arms. Hawks cleaned the table with the last of his red feathers and took her to her room, only to be pulled on the bed by unconscious Haruka as she requested that he stayed.

8. The two woke up the morning after, not talking about the elephant in the room (Hawks thinks that Haruka doesn't even notice it) as they cuddled in bed.

As he recounted, Hawks felt something stir inside of him. Haruka was his friend. Friend. They have known each other pretty well now, albeit both still keeping secret of a part of their past...

But in the span of those 12 hours, he felt like something in their relationship shifted. He was sure Haruka didn't feel it since Haruka was pretty innocent regarding relationships. Hawks noted that it probably came from her sheltered upbringing that Haruka mentioned one time when she was also drunk.

He really needs to stop her from drinking...

Just as Hawks was about to close his eyes again to take a little nap, the door clicked open and Haruka appeared.

"Sorry to bother you..." She scratched her head.

"It's okay, I wasn't asleep." Hawks assured. With that, she walked to the bed with clothes in her hands and a cheeky smile.

"What's that?" Hawks asked as he sat up.

"Clothes... I figured that you would want to take a bath... I mean, if you want to... The bathroom's just past my closet there," Haruka pointed to her walk-in closet. "There's a new towel on the cupboard to the right. If you're done, just put it on the washing machine in the bathroom when you're done." Haruka grinned as she put down the clothes on the edge of the bed.

"Don't worry, they're Natsuo's clothes."

"Natsuo?" Hawks raised an eyebrow.

"Ah, he's my other younger brother besides Shoto. He's younger than me by a year."

"You've never talk about him before. You always talk about Shoto though." Haruka chuckled at this. "Do you have other siblings?" Hawks asked as he leaned on the headboard, his hands behind his neck.

"I have two-- I mean, one older sister, Fuyumi." Haruka cringed. Hawks noticed her blunder and simply let it go. She would tell him when she's ready, he reminded himself.

"I was contemplating on cutting the shirt--"

"You don't need to do that." Hawks cut her off.

"I know... That's why I picked the shirt that is big enough for you to wear." She unfolded the shirt and grinned cheekily, letting him see. Hawks sighed and Haruka just chuckled as she folded the shirt again.

"I forgot to ask, do you have any allergies?"

"Nope." Hawks answered, popping the 'p'.

"Food of preference?"

"Chicken."

"I knew it! Heh... Food's getting ready around one and a half hour. Just come out if you want to eat, and I'll be waiting!" She chuckled and left the room.

It was one hour later when Hawks came out of Haruka's room after taking a nice, warm shower. He had put his clothes in the washing machine and turned it on as Haruka had instructed. He had put the towel on his shoulders as he was too lazy to let his hair dry.

His nose sniffed the air at the amazing smell of food that Haruka had cooked. Just what was she cooking in only one and a half hour to smell this good?!

Just as Hawks walked out of the hallway, he heard Haruka humming. He was surprised at how serious Haruka was at cooking that she didn't even notice him. Hawks pulled out a chair stealthily and sat down, leaning his head on his hand and closed his eyes, listening to Haruka's humming. He noticed that she wore a pink apron thay he would pretty much like to see from the front.

She had a pretty nice tune going on, and it slowly turned into full on singing. Haruka then sung an unfamilliar song that Hawks doesn't recognize. It sounded like a theatre song. He closed his eyes, listening to her singing contentedly.

"Share~ each day with me, each night, each morning~ Anywhere you go let me go too... Love me... That's all I ask of-- EEK!" Haruka screamed as she turned around to see Hawks in the dining room table, surprised. She almost dropped the pan she was holding, her right hand clutched her heart.

"Hawks! You almost gave me a heart attack. Why didn't you tell me you're here! I almost dropped the food." Haruka scolded as she put the pan on the kitchen counter and took a bowl out of the cupboard, still clutching her heart.

"Sorry~" He grinned, not feeling a little bit of remorse. Haruka noticed and pouted. She moved the food from the pan to the bowl.

What surprised Hawks though was when she went out of the kitchen carrying a tray full of food. She gave a cheeky smile at his gaping mouth.

"You made three dishes in the span of an hour and a half?!" He exclaimed unbelievingly as Haruka set up the table.

"I have a lot of card tricks on my sleeve!" She smirked proudly. Hawks analyzed the food that was set up in the table.

There was a large bowl of rice and two small bowls for two, honey and orange chicken, mapo tofu, and potato wedges with cheese. Haruka took a small bowl and scooped rice inside and passed it to Hawks while she scooped some to hers.

She finally sat down and passed him the cutleries.

"Let's eat! Itadakimasu~"

"Itadakimasu~"

There is supposed to be more to this chapter, but it seems like my words get cut off. Would probably move it to the next chapter or so.
