Nothing half-assed is the oath that Olivia takes in regards to their dinner date. She asks Jack McCoy where Alexandra likes to eat, makes sure to make reservations, coordinates her outfit more than a week in advance.
Still, Cabot refuses to be picked up, so Olivia paces outside the restaurant waiting for the blonde to arrive. Her dark boots are loud on the pavement, the creak of her leather jacket more and more distracting as her anxiety rises.
"Olivia?" The name leaves Alex's mouth so warmly that it hits the brunette like a rush of hot air.
Liv turns, sees Alex stepping out of her cab, and forgets everything she has ever known about human interaction. Alexandra is glowing, her shoulders bare but for the spaghetti straps of the red dress she has on, which also allows for a generous view of her breasts. Her hair is styled up and away from her face, pulling attention to her powder-blue eyes.
Alex blushes faintly as the seconds stretch out, smiling to herself with pleasure. "Are those for me?" she asks, breaking the silence and nodding toward the flowers in Liv's hand.
Now Olivia blushes, holding them out. "Yes," she nods. "You look incredible."
"You look quite handsome yourself," Alex praises, her gaze flickering over Olivia's jacket, dark pants, and blue shirt.
Liv stepped toward the door to the restaurant, pulling it open and gesturing to Alexandra. "After you," she smiled.
. .
Nothing half-assed meant wine, appetizers, entrees and dessert. Olivia was unbelievably aroused by the slinky blonde's hearty appetite, laughing aloud at the way her eyes lit up when she requested the dessert menu.
Alex got a huge slice of chocolate fudge cake with cream cheese frosting and cherries, and Liv treated herself to deep fried ice cream. She finished before the blonde, rose and excused herself to take care of the bill while her date finished up.
When she returned to the table, Alexandra was dabbing her mouth with a napkin. Liv shrugged on her jacket, her eyes following Alex as she got to her feet and stepped up to her. The blonde took a wrist in her hand and opened Liv's fingers, pressing something into it before she turned and started off for the door.
Olivia looked down to discover a cherry stem, that had been knotted by Alexandra's tongue.
Her heart tripped through a staccato beat as her centre flooded with desire. She clutched the stem and hurried after Alex, sucking in a deep breath.
The cool evening air was a relief against her heated cheeks as they exited. Olivia took off her jacket, holding the flowers for Alex as she helped her pull it on. Alex took a long, slow look into Liv's dark eyes, then smiled again.
"Shall we walk?" she suggested.
"Lead the way," Olivia replied.
Alexandra took the hand that wasn't holding the flowers and, with a quick glance up and down the darkened street, the two women made a dash across the road.
