Chapter Six: Moving in Together?!

"Are you certain about this?" Gundham asked with a concerned frown as he stood with Sonia in front of the door to a two-person bedroom. "We haven't even been joined in holy matrimony yet, and the people might not take so kindly to their Princess moving in with someone out of wedlock."

Sonia smiled and told him "While I appreciate the concern Gundham, that was a tradition from my parents' monarchy. Not every tradition needs to be upheld, and I see no reason why we cannot start living together so long as we control our sexual urges until marriages."

Gundham nodded, though her words only made him even more nervous, as her innocent remark only made him think even more about sleeping with Sonia than he did in the early days of their engagement. Shame filled him as he thought back to the many, many tissues that filled his garbage can over the months.

That's not exactly an option now, but I didn't have the heart to tell Sonia no. Gundham withheld a sigh as he suggested "Very well…let's go in, shall we?"

Sonia smiled as she turned the doorknob and walked inside before Gundham followed her and looked around the room.

These royal draperies and the quality of the furniture are certainly above what was in my room…though it lacks the majestic elegance I would have expected for the living quarters of a royal family… Gundham noted as Sonia turned to him and noticed his furrowed brow.

"This is a temporary suite after all. Our official royal bedroom will have to wait until after the wedding and coronation, per the compromise I made with Albus and my advisors." Gundham nodded in acceptance as Sonia continued "Well, I'll go and get changed into my pajamas. The staff should have already moved everything from your room, so why don't you find your pajamas and get changed in here while I'm in the bathroom?"

Gundham nodded as he glanced at the stack of boxes containing his belongings that had been stacked on one side of the room. Sonia smiled then turned around and walked into the restroom before she closed and locked the door behind her. Gundham shook any perverse thoughts from his head and walked over to his belongings.

He sifted through the boxes until he took out a set of black pants and a white T-shirt. He quickly glanced around the room and, once he sighed in relief that Sonia was still in the bathroom, he shed his Novoselic clothes before he pulled his pants up his legs, then his shirt over his head.

"Um…are you decent, Gundham?" Sonia called out after knocking from behind the door.

"…Yes, you may enter." Gundham replied before Sonia opened the door and entered the bedroom, dressed in a green nightgown with white sleeves and a red collar.

Gundham blushed as he couldn't help but stare at how the nightgown obscured her form, tantalizingly hiding her attractive assets from view.

Sonia blushed as she asked "You're…you're staring, Gundham…"

Gundham immediately shook his head before he averted his gaze and stammered in embarrassment "A…apologies, Sonia…"

"I…it's okay, really…" An embarrassed Sonia assured him before she glanced at the bed and suggested "So…shall we…lie down and go to sleep?"

"Q…quite…let us go int slumber and…rejuvenate ourselves for the mo…morning."

With that, they awkwardly crawled into bed before they drew the sheets up to their necks, their backs turned to each other as the rather small bed left their feet touching each other.

"G…good night, Gundham…I love you…" Sonia stammered before she closed her eyes.

"G…good night, Sonia…the feeling is mutual…" Gundham stuttered as he closed his eyes, trying to ignore the fact that the girl he had dreamt steamily about was currently back to back with him.

This is gonna be a long fortnight…

Gundham twisted and turned in bed, unable to get to sleep as he was constantly distracted by the throbbing tent in his pants.

What kinds of demons have managed to possess one as powerful as I? Every time I close my eyes, I see…her…and my feelings of lust continue to multiply! I can't even exorcise these annoying demonic forces privately or she'll know and ask questions! Gundham blushed in shame as he cursed "How weak am I that…"

"…Gundham…you're messing up the covers…" Sonia mumbled from her side.

Shaken out of his thoughts, Gundham muttered "A…apologies, Sonia…"

To his mortification, Sonia sat up and rubbed the sleep from her eyes, a drowsy yet concerned frown on her face as she yawned "Gu…Gundham…what's the matter? You seem particularly stressed…"

"I…it's nothing, Pr…Princess…please, go back to sleep, do not worry over me…"

Sonia's frown deepened as she placed a hand on his cheek, causing him to blush as she assured him "Gundham, you are to be my king, and my husband. I am sorry, but I cannot just ignore when you are tightly wound up like this. If you are hurt or stressed, I want to help you." Sonia smiled as she asked "Now…tell me what's wrong, Gundham…please…"

Gundham bit his lip in hesitation until he felt Sonia lace her fingers with his own. He gasped and turned to face the Novoselic Princess, who smiled lovingly at her Ultimate Breeder, giving Gundham the courage to take a deep breath and begin his shameful admission.

"…Demons have been coming to influence my dreams."

"Huh? Your…dreams…?"

"Yes…I've been having dreams about us…doing…things that we shouldn't…"

Sonia cocked her head in confusion until she saw Gundham's blush, which caused her to blush in turn as she realized "Oh…you've been having…those dreams…"

Gundham nodded and confirmed "Unfortunately yes…and though I am ashamed to admit it, I've…been forced to exorcise them at night personally…" Sonia's blush darkened to match Gundham's as she realized exactly what he was referring to before he confessed "I've been…trying to resist those demons and their dark magic all night…if you saw me having to exorcise them myself, I'd be forever shamed as an Overlord of Ice!"

"Oh Gundham, so that's what it was…" Sonia realized as she immediately wrapped her arms around him and drew him into a hug. With a rosy tint coloring her cheeks, Sonia admitted "Gundham…I've been having those kinds of dreams too…but about you."

Gundham's eyes widened in shock as he processed the unexpected truth that a purehearted girl like Sonia was afflicted by the exact same dreams that he was.

Sonia gave an embarrassed smile as she confessed "Yes, I've had to…exorcise myself too, on multiple occasions. You have no idea how often I had to discreetly change and wash my sheets to hide the evidence from the staff."

"I…I see…your stealth magic must be overwhelmingly powerful if I didn't even notice." Gundham complimented, honestly impressed that she had managed to keep such a secret from him.

"I guess it is…" Sonia giggled before her expression became serious once more and she continued "To be honest, I was nervous about you moving in because I was afraid that I would be unable to restrain myself in front of you, and I would have been most embarrassed. But I wanted to take this step with you so badly, I didn't even think that you would have the same problems that I was having. I am sorry for not considering your feelings, Gundham!"

"Sonia…" Gundham at last returned her embrace as he finally smiled and assured her "You have no need to apologize, my purehearted maiden. Perhaps on our own, we weren't strong enough to prevent them from invading our dreams, but perhaps together, our combined powers will be enough to erect a magical barrier to keep them at bay. And one day, once we've made our pact, we can embrace them without shame. Will you join forces with me, Sonia?"

Sonia beamed as she tightened her grip on Gundham and nodded as she whispered in his ear "Oh yes, I will Gundham! With you holding me in my sleep, we shall prevent these steamy dreams from affecting us!"

Gundham chuckled as he and Sonialaid back down together. They closed their eyes as they laid still, quickly falling into an undisturbed sleep as they dreamt only of a loving life together.

I suppose…even an Overlord of Ice needs some warmth to help him every now and again…and that's okay. Thank you for giving me the warmth to purge my demons from my dreams, Sonia.
