Chapter 6 Lucy's First Job

"Wow, it's really him," Lucy blinked. "Natsu of Sharingan,"

"I'm back," Natsu simply said.

Mira smiled "Welcome back Natsu, how was the job,"

"It was nothing too difficult, just a dark guild trying to use something from the Book of Zeref," Natsu told her as went up to the bar.

"I see, it's good that you took care of it," Mira said.

"Yes, very well done Natsu," Makarov sipped his beer.

"Thanks," Natsu nodded.

"Onii-chan," Wendy ran up and hugged Natsu.

"Wendy," Natsu said, feeling the embrace.

"Welcome home," Wendy smiled brightly.

"I'm back," Natsu softly patted her head. "How are you,"

Wendy kept her bright smile "I'm good,"

Natsu looked up and took notice of Lucy who simply jumped with surprise. "Hello, are you new here,"

Lucy nodded "Yeah, I'm Lucy and I just joined,"

"Yeah," Wendy nodded "I met her back in Hargeon, and I brought her here,"

Natsu walked up to Lucy and offered her a handshake "Hello it's nice to meet you, I'm Natsu Uchiha,"

Lucy took the handshake "it's nice to meet you,"

Natsu smiled "I hope Wendy didn't cause you trouble, she can be rather reckless,"

Members of the guild held in their laughter at the comment and Wendy pouted at the comment.

"Onii-chan," Wendy pouted.

Natsu chuckled lightly "Sorry Wendy, but you tend to get in over your head sometimes,"

"No, she was good, she actually saved my life," Lucy told him.

"I see, that's good," Natsu smiled and he then took notice of the key holder on her belt "Are you a Celestial Wizard by any chance,"

Lucy was surprised by this "Um yeah," she shook nervously.

Natsu then took out a golden key from his pouch "Well, I've got this from a job recently"

"Woah, a Golden Celestial Key," Lucy's eyes widened.

Natsu nodded "Yeah, and I think you should have it since I don't use this kind of magic,"

Lucy smiled and took the key "Thank you, wow this is Virgo,"

Natsu nodded "Yeah, the person I took in had the key on him so I took it,"

Natsu sat down at the bar and Mira smiled and gave him his usual meal. "Thank you Mira-san,"

"Hey Onii-chan, are you going to help me train later," Wendy asked.

"Sorry, Wendy but I don't have the time today," Natsu answered. "I have to go on another mission tomorrow,"

"But you promised," Wendy pouted.

Natsu signed and gestured to her to come to him, she smiled brightly and ran up but was stopped by him poking her forehead. "Sorry Wendy, maybe next time," he smiled softly.

Wendy rubbed her forehead and pouted "You always say that when I asked you to train me,"

"Don't be sad Wendy, Natsu is S-Class so he's always going to be busy," Makarov sipped "So you can't expect him to have a lot of free time,"

"Okay," Wendy looked down upset

"Hey don't worry, after I finish the next mission I will train you," Natsu patted and ruffled her hair.

"Really," Wendy smiled brightly.

Natsu nodded and smiled "Yeah,"

Feeling reassured Wendy ran back to talk to the others.

"So mission will it be this time Natsu my boy," Makarov sipped his beer.

"Galuna Island," Natsu answered "Apparently rumor goes that a strange group of wizards are performing some dark ritual they want me to investigate,"

"I see, just best be careful. I know it's you but I can't help but worry." Makarov told him "and we need to discuss that other matter as well," the last part he said under his breath.

Natsu nodded. "I'll take care of that first then head to Galuna,"

Unknowingly to them, Wendy heard the first bit of information and she grew a mischievous smile, she whispered something to Happy and Carla, Happy grew a similar mischievous smile, and Carla looked disappointed, but it seemed she complied.

It was getting late, everyone in the guildhall headed home, and since Lucy still had nowhere to stay Natsu and Wendy offered her to stay at their house until she found a place. Lucy was stunned in amazement once they arrived, it was a large Asian-style home.

"Wow it's so huge and you built yourself," Lucy said, stunned at Natsu and Natsu nodded. "HOW?"

"By working really hard," Natsu said sternly.

"Come on, let's go eat," Wendy ran but she tripped on a rock "Ahh," she fell on her face.

Happy held in his laughter, and Carla signed.

"Wendy, are you okay," Lucy asked.

Wendy sat up and wiped her tears "Yeah, I'm okay,"

Natsu signed and helped her up "You're always so reckless,"

Wendy wiped her bruise and smiled "Sorry, Onii-chan,"

Natsu smiled "Come on let's get inside,"

The group went inside and Lucy was stunned at the beautiful interior of the house.

"Wow," Lucy said.

"The shower is down there," Natsu pointed, "I'll get you some fresh towels,"

Lucy bowed "Thank you,"

Natsu smiled lightly "You're welcome,"

Lucy started her shower and she heard Wendy walk in.

"Lucy-san, here are some fresh towels," Wendy said.

"Thank you, Wendy," Lucy smiled.

After her shower, Natsu showed her the guest room "You can sleep here, stay as long as you need until you find your own place,"

"Thank you Natsu-san," Lucy bowed.

"It's no problem," Natsu told her.

Once Natsu left, Wendy walked up to Lucy "Hey Lucy-san do you want to go on a job with me tomorrow,"

"Wow really my first official job I would love to," Lucy smiled "What job will it be,"

"I'll tell you tomorrow," Wendy smiled "Good night," the little girl then ran to her room with the cats.

The Next Day Hargeon Port

Wendy, Lucy, Happy, and Carla arrived at Hargeon port.

"So Wendy, where are we heading," Lucy asked.

Wendy smiled and showed her the job flyer.

"Galuna island," Lucy read the request.

"Yeah, they need some help there so I figured we can go," Wendy told her.

"Great I'm looking forward to it," Lucy smiled "Wait Galuna felt like I've heard that before,"

"WENDY DID WHAT!" Makarov yelled.

"Yeah, one of the requests has gone missing, and someone said they saw Happy flew up here," Mira told him. "And Natsu, or Erza came here yet, and Laxus is out on a job with the Thunder Legion, and Wendy just went out with Lucy,"

"What job did she take," Makarov questioned.

"Galuna Island," Mira answered.

"Galuna, wasn't that the job Natsu was supposed to go after finishing some business," Macao said.

"Why would she take it," Wakaba said.

"This is not good," Makarov signed. He looked around the guild and took notice of the shirtless Ice Wizard "Gray, you are the only one strong enough to bring Wendy back, go to Hargeon as soon as possible,"

Gray smirked "Alright Gramps I'll get her, seriously Natsu should discipline her some more, he's too easy on her,"

"Mira, contact Natsu and tell him the situation," Makarov ordered and Mira nodded.

"Wendy, what would cause you to do this,"
