storm rages, thunder cracking and powerful winds roar as if the storm was a living beast on a rampage as the storm rages a bolt of red lighting strikes the Lord of Order known as Dr. Fate in the chest through the door of a church, "Is that all you got Nabu?"
A being walks through the broken door wearing armor similar to Dr, Fate the only difference was the suit all in black including the helmet, their body was clearly feminine and their skin was gray almost like a vampire the only color the woman possessed was their red glowing eyes and the red energy on her hands showing.
she was preparing another blast. "Or is that our Kenny? The villain smirks under her helmet though she knows he can't see it.
"You can't say that name!" Kent raises from the ground, his hands glowing its mystic power ready to be unleashed.
"Let Inza go!" Fate commands "She doesn't deserve this, Mordru! Please just let her go, and I'll wear the helm."
Kent pleads as Mordru smirks at the human weakness, it wasn't even hard to draw Inza the helm of the Lords of Chaos.
Inza felt abandoned by Kent after Nabu took him on an adventure that took too long and since Kent hadn't told her about his mystical adventures, she could only thought the worst until Mordru decided that its was the perfect time to strike.
he used black magic to reach into her doubts and drew her to him, he spoke to her through her mind and told her about Kent was the hero known as Dr. Fate.
Unexpectedly she didn't feel betrayed but proud of Kent, so pathetic, after he told her he could feel her curiosity of the mystic arts beginning to show and he taught her the dark arts except the ones that involved sacrifice because she'll get suspicious.
But soon enough he was able convinced her to put on the helmet telling her that it'll make her stronger and maybe she'll even find her lover.
Once Inza put it on, he took her over completely going straight to Nabu who was fighting a demon in Opal City with Diana, daughter of Zeus and her wife/beloved Athera and Shazam and Zatara"s child Zatanna.
He attacked the younglings first blasting them both in the back knocking them out and when the Amazonians attacked.
he opened a portal to their homeland then he blasted Fate through the door of a church which led them to here the end of the great Nabe The lord of order and protector of fate.
"This will be your end and it will be done by your lover's hands" Mordru laughs he stretches out his right arm summoning roots from the ground that begin to take hold of Fate's body, the hero tries to break free for his bindings but Kent loses his focus when the vines begin squeeze the life out of him.
"Pl- Please don- Please don't do this Inza!" Kent manages to shout.
Hoping his words reach Inza's heart, unfortunately that wasn't the case, instead for loosening the vines, they tighten causing Kent's eyes to roll the back of his head.
But Mordru could finish him a white portal appears above the two and Diana and Athera falls through the portal making a crater into the ground.
The two amazons glared at Mordru with barely hidden rage.
While Mordru looked at Athera curiously, he had never dreamed that he would see Diana's Heart as the history books called her, everyone knew her story, she was born in a small colony of Spartans and her father had taught her everything he knew about being a Spartan warrior and as she grew stronger.
Athena had begun to love Athera as her own daughter and blessed her the power of an Amazon and when she was at the age of thirteen, Athena made Athera's father deliver her to the Amazons where Athera was commanded by Athena herself to protect Diana at all cause no matter what.
Diana attacks first slaming her shield into the ribs of Mordru knocking him out of the church and into the streets of Opal City which was already clear of civilians since the demon incident. Diana and Athera charge in unison at Mordru who prepares to fire another blast and then.
Complete darkness.
A man wakes up his hospital bed, his heart pumping out of his chest 'who were those people.'
The man thinks as he looks at his hands and then he looks at a mirror touching his face unfamiliar with everything around, he doesn't remember anything besides the dream.
"Who am I"
0ne Year Later
The rain falls as Diana holds the helmet of Dr. Fate in her hands in front of a two gravestones.
"I couldn't protect them." Diana says tearfully as she looks at Kent Inza Nelson graves.
A arm wraps around Diana's waist and pulls her close, Diana doesn't have to look to know it's her wife Athera who was wearing a long black hood that covers the armor underneath, and Athera can truly sneak up on her when she gets lucky.
"It is not your fault, Princess." Athera objects softly. "I feel that Kent sacrificed his life to save us all and most of all, his lover."
Diana shrugged off Athera's arm, kneeling in front of Kent's grave and with a shaking hand she places the golden helmet onto the ground. "He told me to protect Inza before he destroyed himself and Mordru 's tell and I failed." Diana cried.
Diana has known the Kents for many years, they first meet when a man named Maxwell Lord started making wishes off a wishing stone, sadly She and Kent fell to the temptation of a wish.
" Remember when I wished back Steve back in 1984?" Diana asks her wife though she was still looking at the gravestones.
Athera frowns at the question kneeling next to Diana pulling her close, she hates when Diana like this defeated, and she can see the doubts swimming in her head.
"Yes I remember when you brought back the blonde." Athera spats knowing it would make Diana smile which it did.
A bright light suddenly appears in front of the couple causing the two women to get into fighting positions.
Diana quickly grabbed Fate not wanting to this newcomer give a chance at anything.
The bright light dims revealing a strange man with dark skin and blue armor.
"Who are you?!" Diana shouts.
"I am sorry but we have no time!" The stranger shouts back as the sky begins to turn red and the ground begins to shake. The stranger waves his hand at the two women and they disappeared with the flash of a light.
Doctor Fate's helmet falls to the ground and the stranger quickly picked it up.
"One more." The Stranger whispers
Opal City Hospital
"What crazy dream."The man groans at the roaring headache in his head.
Since the dream, the man has found out very little about himself, he learned that since no one can identify him, his name is now John Doe and that is pretty much it.
John looks at the mirror seeing a man he wasn't familiar with a.k.A himself.
His skin was white, he was built which one of the things that John was thankful for, and he was bald.
"Who are you?" John asks to his reflection.
"You are John Doe and you are needed for the coming Crisis."
John spins at the voice to see the stranger behind him holding a golden helmet.
"Who are you?!" John shouts. "Why do I feel like I'm going to be asking that question a lot."
"I am the Monitor." The stranger answers. "And you have been chosen to help save infinite earths."
"What-." John stumbles as the ground shakes and the sky turns red.
"Put in this helmet and of your questions will be answered." The Monitor stands John up and hands him to the golden helmet that begin to glow in his hands.
"Okay I have a feeling that this is going to suck so much." John whisper as he puts on the helmet.
A bright light appears once again as a red wave passes through.
