Thank you Evolution-500! You dah bomb!
Everything remained quiet. A few dead bodies littered the floor, but bullet wounds in their heads assured us that they wouldn't be getting up. Somebody had beaten us down here. Leon went to the monitors but only a loose laptop would turn on. It had a security feed on it in real time. I watched over Leon's shoulder, confirming it only showed one room.
There was a bed and a curtain, allowing only the sheet covered feet to be seen. The woman I had seen only once was also in the room. Her hair was let down and she slumped over the person in the bed with a syringe in her hand. She reached forward and injected whatever was inside the syringe.
"Whatever that is, it can't be good. I need to get down there. You stay here." Leon stared me down as he said that, refusing to let me misunderstand a word he was saying. As much as I wanted to help, I had no idea how I would do anything but be in the way. So I let out a deep sigh and nod. The blonde man pulled out his back up and showed me how to release the magazine, work the safety, and how to aim with the sights. "You've got 12 shots. If you need more than that and I'm not back find something to defend yourself with and hide."
I nodded again and rushed him to hug around his waist. "Be careful."
He chuckled and patted my head. "You too."
When he pulled away and walked down the hall I felt a sense of foreboding. My paranoia kicked in and I ran over to the door we came out of and flip the knob to lock it. Then, I settled in the chair at the desk, watching the laptop and waiting to see Leon walk in.

Leon
At the end of a long hallway, surprise surprise, is another stair case. This one is dark like the last one with another dead body slumped against the wall. It doesn't get up when I walk past. I go down three flights and the adrenaline I had starts to leave me the longer I go with nothing to shoot and no one to protect. My body feels heavy, a headache starting behind my left eye.
When I finally reach the bottom the distinct clean (if not sickly) smell of a hospital room assaults my nose before I even open the last door. Steeling myself, I wrench it open and point my gun in all the corners, but nothing jumps out at me. This room has a low lighting to it, which doesn't help my tiredness at all. There are bookshelves and wood paneling that look brand new but out of place. I continue into the room and round a bookcase to see the woman from the lap top standing and facing a mirror.
Her blonde hair is down and falls over her shoulder. Amber eyes with bags under them fix on me, causing a shiver to run down my spine. Her ruby lips pull down into a frown and she raises a red veined hand up to trace her pale greying face.
"My body is failing," she speaks low but firmly. "And you have taken something from me that can ensure I go on."
"You've taken the lives of so many. Think I give a damn about helping you "go on?"" I spit back at her. She chuckles dryly.
"No. But my brother sure does."
"Your...brother?"
At that moment a gurgling sound draws my attention to the hospital bed near by. The feet shift and then lower themselves to the floor. A pale, badly scarred hand tears away the curtain and I stare in horror as Albert Wesker kicks away the bed with little effort. The blonde woman cackles and rushes to his side.
Albert's torso is nude and he wears a pair of loose teal hospital scrubs. He is skinny, but the definition of muscle rebuilding is in his arms and chest. His hair is short but growing in dark blonde...close to my own hair color. His squared face is scarred as well, and he reminds me a bit of The Phantom of the Opera, but when the mask is removed. Alex Wesker places her degrading hand on his upper arm.
"Isn't it magnificent? The many viruses floating around in his blood let him last long enough in that volcano to get himself out and he managed to sustain in a coma until I dug him out of the tar and rebuilt him!"
"You're just as sick as he is!"
I didn't wait to hear anymore. I raise my gun and fire. The bullet leaves the chamber and pierces into Alex's chest. She stands there for just a moment letting it bleed before her eyes start to glow and she snarls.
"You are a rude little boy!" She then reaches over and effortlessly picks up the bed and I have to duck as it flies over me. I barely have time to stand up before something hard and sterile smelling crashes into me. I am thrown to the floor with a heavy Albert standing with one foot on my chest. "You need to learn some manners!"
"Urghhhh!" The man on top of me puts more weight on me and I panic as I feel a rib begin to fracture. Struggling, I reach down to my waist and pull out my knife, burying its hilt deep into Wesker's shin. He screams and yanks himself away from me. I manage to keep my hold on the knife and make the wound worse as it is pulled out of him.
I scramble to get to my feet as Alex rushes to the door. "I'll let you two have some fun for now. I've got a host to recapture and a helicopter to catch. Ci vediamo dopo!"
"Damn it...Rose, hold on. I'm coming." I knew she couldn't hear me, but it almost made me feel better. I dart to my right as Wesker charges me again with a battle cry. "Do you even have a mind of your own anymore," I wonder out loud as I scoop my gun from the floor and immediately fire at the super human.
"Chriiiiiisss!" He yells as he lunges at me with his hand outstretched. He doesn't even realize where he is, I notice. I shoot and a bullet lodges itself in his stomach. Wesker grunts and stops in place, and I shoot him in his knee. He drops to his good knee but it doesn't take long for him to get up and lunge again. This time, I am not fast enough and he picks me up by my throat.
As my oxygen is cut off I kick my feet. Wesker brings me face level with him. His eyes are glowing in rage but are unfocused. My hands claw at his after my gun drops once again and goes off twice more, two bullets hitting him in the ankle. Damn it...my seer must be damaged. Wesker grunts and my vision starts to darken with my lungs burning and my hands clawing desperately at my foes.
An alarm starts blaring as well as a red light flashing. Suddenly, there's a crackling sound and a loud speaker turns on. Alex's voice fills the room. "Albert, honey. Time to go."
Wesker drops me at once and I fall, gasping and wheezing on the floor, clutching my throat as I cough. His eyes darken once more as he exits the small room. "Rose," I rasp and grab my gun as I force myself to stand.
Rose
"Take that you son of a bitch."
I look at my friend in utter shock. I'd never seen Damon's little sister so fierce. Nor had I ever heard her curse. Sara has her dark hair tied back with a dirty scrunchy, gunk matting the strands together. Her blue eyes glare as her pale fist slams down on the cliche big red button. An alarm starts to blare. Red lights flash. The thing we trapped in the adjoining room screeches so loud I swear the pictures on the wall rattle.
Not long after I had watched Leon confront the blonde woman and she had left, did I decide to hide. I hid in a room that was off to the right of the stair wells but that proved to be a problem. The girl who had been in the cell next to mine was subdued in this room and became enraged at my presence. She trashed and screamed and tore herself away from her restraints and came right at me. I'd decided to take my chances out in the hall and ran back the way I'd come.
I ran back up the stairs but was too scared of the lickers to stop at the floor I'd originally been on. I decided maybe it'd be a good idea to find a way out and kept going up. I'd rounded the corner for the 3rd floor stairs when I nearly ran into the woman.
"Rosemary," she grinned. "Just the girl I was hoping to run into."
"Fuck you!" I yelled as she steps toward me. The thing chasing me appears behind me.
"You'd better come with me or that thing will eat you alive."
"I'd rather it kill me than lose myself to you," I yell. Just then the door to level 4 opens and a hand yanks me in and slams the door. I barely have time to register what's happening before the other girl pushes a heavy metal desk in front of the door.
"Sara!" I exclaim when I realize who it is. I jump to hug her and she hugs me back, tears pricking at my eyes. "I thought you were dead," I cry.
"Not yet," she offers a small smile. "Come on we gotta go!" The door is beat against, shoving the desk a centimeter.
Sara takes my hand and we haul ass down through the cells. I recognize this as the floor I had originally been in. Its deserted, except for the body chunks and blood splatters. We navigated through the facility until I see a room marked 'SECURITY'.
"Wait! Sara we gotta go in here!"
The wall busts down in drywall and glass shrapnel. It flies everywhere, making us crouch and cover our heads. The monster roars when it sees us, the girl she had been barely recognizable. Her face looks like acid had melted it off her eye was enlarged and looking around manically. I remember Leon's gun and quickly pull it from my waistband and fire three shots at it. Two missed, one hit her in the face. She screams and charges. Sara manages to dive us into the security room.
We scramble to our feet and move out of the way just in time for the tentacle to smash through the door way and the body of the creature follows. Sara picks up a potted plant and chucks it over her head, smashing it against the monsters arm. It snarls at her and lashes out. Sara jumps over it like a jump rope and I take the distraction and shoot. All three bullets hit it this time. 6 gone...6 more left.
Sara ducks under a table when its attention goes back to me and she yells. "Rose! There's another room!"
I crawl under the table and pop up on the other side, shooting once. The thing follows after me, crushing the table under it. I retreat into what looks like an interrogation room of some sort. One side has two sided mirrors and a steel table. On the other side of the room is another doorway. I run further into the room and the monster follows me. As soon as it is inside the metal door slides down and locks with a faint click. I make a mad dash for the other door way as it lashes out at me again.
"Sara, now!" I dive and slide under as the door slides down and locks at my feet. I lay there huffing for a moment and then scoot away as the thing slams its body into the door so hard it makes a medium size dent. Heart beat racing, I look up and notice the door we came through is closed and must be locked if Saras paying no mind to it.
Speaking of Sara, she is at a control panel. Several monitors are on and showing dark and light rooms alike. "These must be on a back up power source," Sara comments as she looks at them. " Maybe we can find a way out."
I nod, though she isn't looking at me. Peering at the monitor, my eyes widen when I see Leon losing a fight with a very tall, deadpool looking mother heifer. "Leon," I breath. I look around the keyboards. "I gotta help somehow!"
"There's always a self destruct," Sara mentioned. "I mapped a way out already, lets find a red switch."
And that's what we did. In the desk we opened one of the larger drawers and there was a big red button in a plastic case. "Bingo," Sara smiles and presses it. "Take that you son of a bitch."
"We better go," I comment after a moment of shock. I was watching the monitor again and noted the bitch who kept me here walking our way. I got five bullets left. Hopefully it'll be enough because she's approaching fast.
"Too late," Sara comments as the bulging interrogation room starts to split. "In here!" We dart over to a wardrobe conveniently placed in a dark corner and squeeze in together. We hold our breath with our hands over our mouths as we hear a gun shot, something metal clanging to the floor, then a crash and splintering wood.
At just about the same time the interrogation room door finally gives way. Sara leans against me, and I hold her tightly, my fists balled and shaking. A gun is discharged several times and the monster screams, then crashes to the floor. Its silent now, except for the sound if heels clacking on the tiled floor.
Then there's the faint sound of a P.A.
"Albert, honey. Time to go."
A few seconds later and the wardrobe doors are yanked open. Sara and I both scream bloody murder.
ci vediamo dopo- see ya later!
