Hey there! Long time no see! If you're in Worlds Collide Discord Server, you know that I've been working on what I'm calling the Mega-Update. Essentially, I've been restructuring elements of my story, working on art, and writing out 3 whole chapters, all of which are here to establish a few character arcs and get to a plot point I've been excited to get to since the beginning. I hope you enjoy it!

Furthermore, I've decided to condense some of the author's notes into Interludes after every 5 chapters, where I'll list out references and Easter Eggs and other things here and there. I'll still have little Author's Notes at the end of some chapters, but I'm going to keep all the explanations of things not touched on in the story, official lists of references and Easter Eggs, and links to my art in these interludes.

Some notes on continuity! Read through these to get a sense for some minor show spoilers that may show up, if that's something you care about. Also, to be clear, if something isn't listed here, it likely still exists, but might be something I only lightly touch on extremely briefly:

Dexter's Laboratory: Same as OG FF
Powerpuff Girls: Same as OG FF
Ed, Edd n Eddy: Same as OG FF
Courage the Cowardly Dog: Same as OG FF
Samurai Jack: Complete (True Ending of Battle Through Time)
Codename: Kids Next Door: Same as OG FF
The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy: Same as OG FF
Megas XLR: Same as OG FF
Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends: Same as OG FF
Ben 10: Sometime after Alien Force but before Ultimate Alien (Ben has the Ultimatrix, Vilgax is somewhere at the bottom of the ocean, and Ben's identity has been revealed)
Generator Rex: Just before the end of Season 2 + some variation of the Heroes Unite crossover with Ben 10 has happened
Adventure Time: Complete (roughly a month after "Come Along With Me")
Sym-Bionic Titan: Complete
Steven Universe: Complete (including SU: Future)
OK KO: Complete. Because heroes are a common thing in this world, OK KO style heroes are referred to as "Guys," as they were in the original drafts for the show.

Also, for transparency's sake, there are some shows that I'm watching for the first time right now, or that I've never watched and/or probably never will, even on that list. On the list, those are:

Ed, Edd n Eddy (I honestly just really hate the art style, sorry. Also Eddy in the game makes me upset)
The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy (Length. Also Billy is unbearable in-game)
OK KO (In the process of watching)

Some notes on changes to the source material and general state of the universe:

This story takes place in a slightly different reality from the original game, where the World's Collide comic as we know it never happened. To start, Mojo Jojo never notices that Planet Fuse is coming, and instead, Planet Fuse's invasion starts off slow; Galaxy Gardens is the first place to be attacked, and Dexter immediately calls upon Ben Tennyson, the Powerpuff Girls, and the Sector V Treehouse. They initially are able to repel this small force, but Fuse catches onto where each of those heroes came from and attacks Pokey Oaks, Offworld Plaza, and Sector V all at once. Again, the invasion force is small, and the KND are able to repel the attack at the treehouse, but Fuse manages to get a foothold at the Space Port and Pokey Oaks Junior High. Because of the limited invasion and the fact very few people know what is happening, people don't really have a plan once the invasion begins in full force, and most heroes and villains don't have any reason to trust each other.

Chapter One:

The Cadets Next Door Graduation scene is directly ripped from the Codename: Kids Next Door Episode "Operation G.R.A.D.U.A.T.E.S."
The design for the part for the antigravitational field generator is based on the common prop found in several missions in the OG game.
You can actually find the exact building mentioned in Marquee Row! Some buildings are moved around and some personal liberties were taken for some of the buildings surrounding it, but it's the big building with the Resurrect'Em out front near the Northeastern corner of Marquee Row.
The chapter title comes from a line in the Codename: Kids Next Door Episode "Operation T.R.A.I.N.I.N.G."

Chapter Two:

Honestly, not much to say here. It is also worth noting that I honestly can't remember where some Easter Eggs are or where they come from, so you may end up noticing ones I forgot. I will say the "I haven't seen that one for a while" line comes from an episode of Ben 10: Alien Force.

Chapter Three:

The chapter title is the same as Buttercup's original Nano Mission.
The Dexbot's greeting line is taken directly from the game.
Athena's last name being "Fancyfancy" is a reference to the really weird naming system in the OG game, allowing for last names that were the exact same word twice in a row. It was always a personal preference of mine to make my last names using that convention, haha.

Chapter Four:

The chapter title is the same as one of Mojo's Guide Missions
The Monkey Minion named "Bingo Bongo" is a reference to Lars' catchphrase after he becomes a space pirate in Steven Universe.
The Park in my story is not the same Townsville Park from the original game, but rather the Park from Regular Show.

Chapter Five:

The chapter title is a reference to the real-life "Eye of Providence," a biblical concept from which Generator Rex got the name for its primary organization. For those who don't know (like I didn't), the Eye of Providence is a symbol that represents the all-seeing eye from which the Christian God watches over the Universe, Providence being the way in which God has the ability to intervene in the happenings of the universe.
