"Your eyes glimmer in the sun. When I look at them the whole world fades away."
Chapter 6
I was looking down at my feet. It must have looked quite strange. A fifteen year old girl standing on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere. Where was Peter? I would understand if he was three or maybe even ten minutes late but one hour. I was starting to think he wasn't going to show.
Suddenly there was a loud bang around the corner. I whipped my head around and found a brand new Audi. Quite an expensive car for a teenager.
The car came to a stop and the window rolled down. Peter's fluffy head of hair stuck out.
"What took you so long?"
"I had something important to take care of," he said as he opened the door and got out. "Where are we? What exactly is this place?"
"Do you remember what I said in chemistry?"
"That you can't see the beauty of the big picture without the details in between. What does that have to do with anything?"
"You'll see," I said with a smile forming on my lips. I giggled and took off in the direction of the brush behind us.
To the normal observer this looked like any corner of a seemingly empty road surrounded by unsurpassable vines and bushes but if you listen closely you could hear the splash of freshwater not too far in the distance.
My hands guided the branches and vines away and I got through with only a couple small scratches. In front of me was a vast prairie with a hill that overlooked the river ahead, surrounded by a thin strip of forest. No one was here. This was one of the most secluded places you could find in the city.
"You coming," I called out.
Peter came right after me. His shirt caught on a branch and a slit tear appeared on the side. I couldn't help but laugh.
"You think that's funny don't you," Peter let out in a playful manner.
"As a matter of fact I do."
Peter suddenly stretched his legs back into a runners position. Knowing what was about to happen I started running into the direction of the hill. Peter was chasing after me.
I ran as fast as my feet could take me. Every so often I would feel a bump in the ground. The grass swirled with every step I took leaving foot shaped prints. My hair flowed in the wind. I looked back and saw Peter was far behind. I slowed down my pace which I realized was a mistake when I felt two strong arms wrap around my torso.
I was lifted off my feet and Peter twirled me around in a circle. I turned to face him and he pulled back the hair that had fallen on my face around my ear. At that moment I knew. I leaned in for a kiss and was met with a pair of soft lips. I took my hands up his back feeling every curve and bump and he moved his higher as well. I stood there for a while with his broad shoulders shielding me from the wind.
He gave me a gentle shove causing me to fall on the grass. I grabbed the collar of his shirt pulling him down on top of me. He inched forward until his chest was right above mine. His hand slowly made its way up my body as gently as a feather. He traced the outline of my face and brought his hand to my cheek. He gave it a gentle rub with his thumb. I looked in his eyes. They were so pure, untouched by the world. It made me feel bad for what I was going to do next. I reached my hand out moving it down his back until I felt a hard plastic sticking out of his pocket. My fingers pinched the plastic card that was placed inside. I lifted the card to my wrist pushing it up my sleeve. Peter pressed his lips onto mine but this time with more passion. He was no longer afraid like the first time. He had let loose so I did too. I kissed him back.
He pulled me in close, wrapping his shoulder around me. I grabbed the blanket I brought and threw it over the both of us. We sat there nuzzled into each other watching the sun dip below the horizon. I'm sorry Peter
Authors Notes
Hey guys it's been a while. I haven't had that much time to write but I hope you enjoyed this chapter. The date came early after some thinking to make the plot line up. It's my first time writing romance so ya. I also threw in some references to Peters bad diving in there.
