Draco's eyes went wide as Hermione practically pounced on him, forgetting about her casted leg and toppling off of him with a thud. "Oh, shit! Are you alright?" Hermione closed her eyes and wished for the floor to swallow her up.

Draco knelt down next to her, checking for injuries and assessing her. "Yup, I think I'm fine, just a bit embarrassed. God, I have no idea what I am doing!" Hermione covered her face, wanting to cry. It had been over a year since she kissed anyone! She waited for him to say something and when he didn't, she peaked out from behind her hands to see him smirking.

"Granger, were you trying to kiss me?" He said teasingly as he leaned closer. She felt her face heating up as he inched closer. He was going to kiss her! Oh my God! Draco tucked a curl behind her ear then held his hand out. "Let's get you off the floor, yeah?" If he could see the disappointment on her face, he didn't show it.

Draco eased her onto the couch then sat next to her. "Draco." He turned and gave her a heated stare that sent a jolt straight to her core. She took his hand in hers and placed it across her breast. "Can you feel how fast my heart is beating?" He nodded his head in understanding. "Kiss me." She practically whispered the command.

Draco couldn't believe it. She wanted him to kiss her. So, of course, he did what any proper young man would do and obliged. Her skin was so soft under his calloused hands. "You're so beautiful." He said it against her lips just before he gently kissed her mouth. "Brilliant." Another tender kiss. "Stubborn." He licked her lips and she allowed him access to plunder her mouth.

"Oh sweet Morgana! Can he fucking kiss! I'm about to cum just from a damn kiss!"

Hermione wrapped her hand behind Draco's neck, pulling him closer and earning a low growl from the back of his throat. He stopped to check her leg situation. "Can you straddle me or do you need help?" He almost berated himself for asking, thinking himself quite presumptuous.

"I think it would be more comfortable to lay down. Would you be okay with helping me to my bedroom?"

"Fuck yeah I can!" Draco's inner-voice practically screamed.

Instead, he nodded and picked her up bridal style. He walked down the hallway and wandlessly opened the door. Her room was exactly as he pictured it would be. A queen sized bed in country white linens and a maroon quilt with golden accent pillows. A wall of books and a small stack of them next to her bed. A chest of drawers and vanity then a wall of photos, both Wizard and Muggle style completed the room.

He placed her gently on the bed towards the middle then removed his shoes before joining her. The moment he did, Hermione placed her good leg over Draco's to curl into him, then she started to place chaste kisses up his neck and jaw. She moaned his name, "Mmm Draco," and ground against his leg. He couldn't believe that this was actually happening.

Not to be outdone, Draco slid his hand slowly down her body, grabbing onto her ass and pressing his erection into her leg. "Fuck, Granger. Is this really happening?" Her mewls and whimpers urged him on. "I've wanted you for so long. Fuck. If you keep doing that I'm going to lose it like Franky First Year, Hermione." Her giggle melted him even more.

"I fucking love you, Granger!" He wanted to scream it but knew she wasn't ready to hear it.

"Draco, I think I'm in love with you!" She wanted to scream it but knew he wasn't ready to hear it.

They continued to snog each other silly until the sound of her Floo went off. "Hermione! Hermione, are you there? I'm coming through!" Hermione sat up quickly.

"Fucking Weasley!" thought Draco.

"What the hell does he want?" She sounded annoyed and frustrated, so Draco helped her up and carried her back out to the living room. "Come on through, Ronald!" she yelled. A green flash of flames erupted in her fireplace and a tall, burly Ron Weasley walked out looking all sorts of self-important.

"Malfoy? What the fuck are you doing here?" He blurted out when he saw the blond Wizard sitting next to his ex-girlfriend.

"Ron! That was rude! And if you must know, we were on a date, our first date, mind you, so please get on with it." Hermione crossed her arms and waited impatiently.

Ron looked put out but explained, "I just wanted to check on you since you're alone, and I heard they released you from St. Mungo's." Hermione scoffed.

"Well, as you can see, I am not alone so no need for you to be here. If that's all, you know the way out " Ron became bright red and Hermione knew he was fighting not to say something he'd regret.

"Fine! Sorry for being concerned." He turned to leave, but lost the fight to control himself. "I cannot believe you are dating that bastard after what he put us through in school. A fucking Death Eater to boot. Really slumming it since I broke up with you, huh? Pathetic!" Her hex hit him within seconds. "Argh! What the fuck, Mione?" Draco stepped in front of her.

'I think you've said enough here, Weasley. Get lost." Draco's eyes were practically burning a hole into the ginger bastards head. "Call me whatever you want, but if you ever insult Granger again, I'll show you what real pain is." Hermione took his hand in hers and squeezed, instantly soothing and calming him.

Ron scoffed, then turned back into the fireplace, leaving in a blaze of green flames. Hermione looked up into Draco's piercing eyes and smiled. "Thank you for standing up for me." Draco softly stroked down her face and stared at her reverently. She couldn't believe he was here to see that and didn't run.

The breakup with Ronald Weasley was all over the papers a year ago. He left her. He'd ended things because she was focused on her career. He wanted her to marry him, pop out a couple of kids that he'd already chosen names for, raise the children, then once they started school, she could start working again. Easy, right? No! That was not the life she wanted. The fourth time he asked her to marry him had been the last straw.

One year ago:

"Marry me, Mione! Marry me and make me the happiest man alive!" He looked up at her, practically begging with the look he gave her.

Hermione sighed, "Ron, no. I told you. I'm not ready. We're not ready." Ron hung his head.

"I'm not asking you again, Mione. This is your last chance. Marry me or I'm walking out that door, and this relationship is over."

Hermione shook her head, "I'm sorry, but my answer is still no, Ronald." He got up and stalked to the door of Hermione's cottage.

"Good luck finding a man willing to deal with all of your bullshit and nightmares. You're going to die alone and miserable at that job you love so much!" His words hurt and he knew it, but could be arsed to care. He slammed the door, knocking the picture of them dancing at Bill and Fleur's wedding off the wall. The pieces of the frame lay broken on the floor, just as broken as their relationship.

"Hey, don't even think on it. Come here." Draco hugged her tightly and kissed her head of curls. She turned her head and latched onto his mouth. They kissed for what felt like hours. He still could not believe that she was letting him get this close.

"I had a great time with you, other than that ginger menace coming here. I am just really glad we finally got to spend time together. And," Hermione threaded their fingers together then kissed Draco once more, "I really like kissing you." She rested her head against his chest and listen to his heart beating.

"I cannot believe you actually like me. That you want me here with you. I've wanted this for a long time, Granger. I'm not just saying that. Full disclosure here, it's been since that first day on the train." The surprised look on her face told her that bit of information came as a shock

"But, you picked on me. Called me names." She was confused.

"I was told that Muggleborns were inferior my whole life. That first day, I saw you and already decided I wanted you, at eleven years old. Then, I was told you were Muggleborn and to stay away. I watched you from afar. Wished to be close to you. My mother and father were told all about you. My father was incensed by my infatuation with you at first. My mother was my sounding board. She listened to me cry and carry on about you."

Hermione looked up at him and placed her hand against his cheek as he leaned into it and continued.

"The first time I called you, well, that word, I cried myself to sleep. I kept seeing that hurt look in your eyes. I wrote my mother and she urged me to try to not repeat the word, but then I did. Surrounded by so called friends that egged me on. Only Theo knew of my true feelings for you. He'd admonish me every time. Then fourth year happened, and I stopped saying it. I refused to listen to my father and his friends bigoted views anymore."

"My mother tried saving me the summer after fifth year. My father was imprisoned and my horrible aunt strong-armed my mother into giving up the Manor to that half-blood psychopath, Voldemort. One night, she packed up a bag of my belongings and was about to apparate us out when Aunt Bella and him stunned us. We were both Crucio'd then I was forced to get branded and serve him."

Hermione gasped then kissed him softly. "Draco, I had no idea." She swallowed thickly the made her own confession. "It was Sixth year for me." Draco looked up and stared into her brown orbs. "Shocking, I know, but true. You were so quiet and broody. Harry kept swearing you were a Death Eater and I told him he was mad. Truth is, I didn't want to believe it because you were all I was thinking of. I watched you. You seemed so broken and lonely and I longed so badly to just walk up to you, tell you I would be there for you, and help you to smile again."

Draco grabbed the back of her neck and kissed her with such passion that she could literally feel her toes curl. '"Granger, you're here now. I'm here. I'm not letting you go ever without a fight." Her hands wrapped around his neck as he continued to kiss her. She didn't want the night to end. She wanted him badly, but it was too soon. "Merlin, Hermione. You're everything I've ever wanted." She smiled into his kiss at his confession. "Feel so good in my arms." More kisses.

Before they knew it the clock struck 11pm. "Not that I want this night to end, but I have brunch in the morning with Luna and Ginny. Luckily l only have one more dose of Skelegrow then the Healer says I can remove the cast in the morning." Hermione kissed him once again. "After that, I'm free though if you want to do anything." The hopeful look in her eyes made his heart swell.

"I have lunch with my parents, but should be finished by 2pm. We could do dinner again. Maybe watch one of those film things Edna told me you like. I've never seen one." Hermione practically jumped for joy at the thought of showing him a movie for the first time.

"That sounds perfect. I'll cook for you! I don't want to brag, but I'm no slouch when it comes to cooking." She smiled one of those beautiful, bright, light up her face smiles and Draco nodded.

"It's a date, then." He leaned down to kiss her one last time then left through her Floo. He practically floated through the front door of the Manor. Of course, his mother and father were waiting up.

"Well, how was your date with Hermione, dear? Narcissa asked expectantly.

"Yes, son. How was Miss Granger? Healing up fast, I hope." Lucius smirked as he saw the look on his son's face. He knew it well. It was the same look he had after his first date with his Cissa.

"I'm going to marry her someday." Even Draco couldn't believe he'd blurted out exactly what he was feeling at that moment. He was usually so careful. The matching smiles on his parents faces though were priceless.
