No POV
Subaru sat on his bed, looking at the bite mark from the puppy back at the village. Y/N entered his room and leaned on the wall.
"Jeez, couldn't you at least knock? What happens if you didn't knock on someone's door and you saw them naked?"
"So, what's up? Why'd you call me here?" Y/N ignored the question and Subaru sighed.
"Can you stay here until morning? This is the night where I got killed, I think"
"You think?"
"Yeah, and I won't sleep too. Jeez... What am I, a grade-schooler who can't sleep before a class outing? Reminds me of when I overslept on the day of the class trip... I wasn't able to retrace the same loop exactly, but I got along well with Ram and Rem"
"You sure did, Rem looked kinda happy earlier. Though I don't wanna get along with Ram, she reeks of 'I'm the boss around here, fucking obey me'. I think it's just me"
"I think it's just you" Subaru said. Y/N heard Subaru's heartbeat getting faster and louder. Y/N ignored it, thinking it was nothing.
"Well, if I'm gonna stay here till' morning, let me get my book first" Y/N said as he left the room and got back from his room, which was the other side of the hallway. As he found the book, he was going to go back to Subaru's room. He saw Subaru limping, and supporting himself on the wall to not fall on the ground
"Someone..." Subaru uttered but as fell to the ground "Somebody... help..." Subaru uttered weakly while a black mist flew around the hallways. Y/N ran towards Subaru and carried him with his back.
"What the fuck happened to you? C'mon, let's find Beatrice" He said as put his hand on Subaru's forehead "Holy shit, you're so cold" he went upstairs. He heard chains rattling and something threw them backward "What the..." He said, but he felt pain in his left arm. He saw that his arm has been cut off, and hanging on the lamp at the ceiling, blood sprawling all over.
"E-eh?" Y/N tried to stop the bleeding by covering the wound with his other arm. Something almost hit his head, he luckily moved out of the way. His skin turned light red and bright golden flames appeared around him, the flames closing the open wound on his left. I guess he's alright, now. Badum tsss
"Y-Y/N..."
"Are you alright, Subaru? Good thing it wasn't my right arm though" He said. But he received no response "Subaru?" He looked back to see the black mist gouging Subaru's eyes out. Seeing this, Y/N sighed, seems like he's going to go back to day 1.
"Fuck" Darkness surrounded him, he lost consciousness and fell asleep.

Y/N POV
The same shit happened again, we don't know who the killer is but we know that it's someone inside the mansion. Or it's just a burglar who managed to get inside the mansion. I can't think of anyone that would want to kill Subaru. Rem, Ram, Emilia, and Lacina are off the list. So that means it's either Roswaal, Beatrice or a burglar.
Right now, I'm walking with Subaru, discussing what happened at the last loop. Seems I wasn't the only one who heard the sound of chains. Since this is my 'First day' at the mansion, I was free of work while Subaru is on his day-off.
"Anyways, Subaru, since we don't know who the killer is yet, we need to gather some information"
"But how am I supposed to gather information? I guess I'll start with some indirect questioning..."
"Won't that make you suspicious?"
"Do you have any better idea?"
"...Nah"
"Alright, then it's settled, we investigate the mansion for anything out of the ordinary"
"Alright"
For the past hours, we went to search through several rooms to no avail, everything seemed fine. I was starting to get tired and a little bored of this investigation today.
"Yo, Subaru, wanna take a rest? My feet hurt" I whined to Subaru.
"Sure, but we're going to get back investigating after this" Me and Subaru sat outside on a nearby bench, maybe the one where I was reading my book when Roswaal warned me.
"Well, I didn't see anything suspicious or anything out of the ordinary. Do you imagine what Emilia would look like with an apron?"
Subaru: "Same here and yeah, I tried, but her beauty is too much for me to imagine" He boasted, smirking towards me.
"Just wait and see what Siren looks like, you'll be jealous!"
As we were running out of topics to discuss, Subaru blurted whatever came to his mind.
"Petra's cute isn't she?"
"Yeah...it might lead to kidnapping"
"What?"
"What?"
"Kidnapping who?" The fucking clown appeared behind us, we were surprised how we didn't notice that he was there.
"Holy fuck, don't sneak up on us like that!"
After we rested, we kept investigating the whole mansion, but we weren't seeing anything out of the ordinary once again.
As the sun sets and the moon rose, I and Subaru entered his room once again. This time, bringing my ordinary katana around me, just encase the attacker decided to strike on a different date.
"I've been meaning to ask this since the last loop, why are we always at my room? Couldn't we at least use yours?"
"No, there's a lot of important stuff in my room" It wasn't a lie, the porn stash and doujinshis in my room are important than anything else, if something happened to it, I'd have to kill Subaru.
As we were discussing how he died in the last loop, Subaru jotted down the causes of his deaths on a spare piece of paper. He handed over it to me and I looked at it.

"What do you think?" He asked me. Also, that last part of the paper was me doodling on it.
"I dunno man, I haven't this Beatrice person before"
He wrote it all down in English so both me and Subaru could understand. Though he sucks at writing English, I had to resist my brain having a stroke while I was reading Subaru's English writing. Wait a minute...Now that I think about it...If everyone's speaking Japanese, how can I understand them?
That's right! Louise chanted something back at Tristain that made me understand all languages. Yeah, I'm going to ask Roach or Rubick how that shit works. However, a knock on the door interrupted our conversation.
"Come in!" Subaru yelled. Ram entered the room with a tray of tea.
"Good evening, sirs. I am here to bring you both teas"
I nodded, it was weird for Subaru and me to be called sir. I know that it was the first day of our meeting, but to us, it wasn't.
"Here you go, sirs" She said as she handed us the teas, I took a sip, and it tastes good actually, I could get used to this.
"Oh, thanks. Why don't you sit here and drink tea with us?"
"No thank you, sir, I have more things to do"
"Hey, you could be a little bit friendlier if you want.." Ram ignored Subaru and closed the door, ouch "Well, it is our first day, I guess it makes sense.
"Why did you ask her then? Fucking idiot" I said as I sipped the tea.

The next day came by, and Subaru dragged me somewhere, I asked him where we're going, but he said that it's a secret. Fucking bastard. Subaru barged in, with me following behind him.
"Yo!" I looked inside the room, it was a large library, I wondered how it could fit inside the mansion.
"Every day, you come in here without even knocking. You truly have no manners whatsoever. Leaving would be in your best interest before you get blown away, I suppose." She noticed me looking around "You must be Y/N, I suppose"
"Yup, that's me. And you're Beatrice? I actually expected her body structure to a bit like Lisa's..." I muttered the last part.
"Correct. So, Subaru why have you come in here?"
"I just want to ask you something. Is there any magic that weakens and kills someone, as if putting them to sleep?" I guess I'm not needed in this conversation, so I'll just stay quiet and look for some books here.
I looked at a random column of books, these were quite huge, just like my di- no. I look at the weird-looking book, and it turns out, it was the bombinomicon.
"Holy crap, it's you! I can't believe it! It's been so long!" The book spoke
"..." I stayed silent and put him back on the shelf
"Hey, hey! Wait, we still have a lot to catch up to!"
I left the book and went for another shelf, plus, didn't Merasmus have the Bombinomicon? How'd it got here then? After minutes of boredom, Subaru got launched and fell down outside the window. Beatrice looked towards me with her cute angry eyes.
"There's something I want you to talk about"
"Yeah? What is it?"
"It's about you being a Kirn Ta, I suppose"
Hoh? Will I get to know more about how awesome I am? That Roswaal bastard won't tell me what a Kirn Ta is loop after loop.
"Really!?" I asked excitedly
"Of course. But you should keep this secret to the other residences in this household or else both you and I might get into trouble"
"I promise on my doujinshi stash!" I said as I saluted. Beatrice blankly stared at me 'Well this is awkward'
"...It's good to know that you aren't an idiot like Subaru, I suppose. Have you noticed something strange about your body?"
"Well, my body turns red, and stuff"
"Well, it's because your body is no longer human"
"It's kinda obvious" Y/N said but was ignored by Beatrice
"A Kirn Ta can be recognized in three ways. One, flames will appear and will regenerate all of your wounds in seconds. The other is their hair and eyes. Lastly, it's about how immune they are to fire" I nodded at the information "There is one rumor back in the day where a Kirn Ta can go toe to toe with a sword saint"
"I'm that powerful?"
"Well, yes. You are indeed powerful, but your powers aren't still being used to its full potential, I suppose"
"I have a question. What is a Kirn Ta's position on the world?"
"...That is something I can't answer"
"Oh, well that sucks"
"Well, it's time for you to leave. Goodbye and never go here ever again, I suppose"
"Thanks for the information though" I said as I patted her head. I ran to the exit, almost getting hit by the spell where Subaru got launched. The door of the library shutting on its own, I saw Rem walking towards me with a blank expression.
"How was your conversation with Beatrice-sama?"
"It went fine. She's feisty" Rem nodded.
"Help me with today's work, Y/N-kun"
"Alright, I'm following right behind you"
Time passed by again, and I'm in my own room, reading Icha Icha Paradise once again. Though I've read it multiple times, it never gets old. Lacina informed me that Subaru will leave the mansion, so I left my room in a hurry to catch up with Subaru.
As I reach the gates, everyone was there except for Beatrice.
"Sister sister...Our guest is hopelessly bad with flattery"
"Rem Rem...Our guest has a fatal lack of skill in flattery"
"Oh shut up! That's the only thing I could think of! Thanks though"
"Subaru! Wait up!" I said as I panted "Come here for a second" I said as I dragged Subaru somewhere where they couldn't hear us "Are you sure this is a good idea? You should've told them that I would also go with you"
"I can't do that, if I leave this mansion, then the Shaman won't give me a curse. Plus, it'd be weird if you come with me though"
"Wait, shaman? Curse? I wasn't paying attention to your conversation with Beatrice"
"Whatever! If I could find a spot where I'm hidden and stalk Emilia's room, I could finally see who the shaman is!"
"That...Is actually a good idea, a little bit creepy, but it'll make you more suspicious if you get caught. Also here, take this" I said as I gave him a clean blank piece of paper.
"What's this?"
"You'll have to rip it off if you're in danger, so that way I could save your weak ass. I can't explain how it works since it's too complex. Don't get caught, alright?"
"Don't worry, I won't. Well, I guess this is goodbye, see you next time?" Subaru reached out his hand and closed his fist.
"Don't say goodbye, I hate goodbyes" I said as we fist-bumped, then we returned back with everyone. As everyone else said their goodbyes, Subaru walked away from the mansion with Emilia looking like she's going to cry.
"Thank you for everything! If you need anything, come visit anytime!"
"Sure! Thanks, Emilia-tan!" Subaru yelled from far away while waving his goodbyes at Emilia.
'What a simp' Everyone left the gates without saying a word, as I entered the mansion I immediately entered my bedroom. I don't know if you call a room full of books and weapons that could destroy a fucking city a bedroom, then you're a weirdo.
After minutes of reading Icha Icha Paradise Vol. 2, I felt the paper I gave Subaru being torn.
"When will Subaru not get in trouble? Probably never" I sighed and went towards to where he was. As I get into the scene, I saw multiple swords lodged into the rock wall, with smaller pieces of paper everywhere. I landed in and unsheathed my Katana.
"Y-Y/N!"
front of Subaru "Alright, Su-" I was interrupted as a sharp sword launched towards me, I grabbed Subaru and dragged him away with me, dodging the attack "Wow, interrupting someone with their line?! The nerve! show yourself!" I said as I pointed my Katana towards the attacker.
"Very well" The attacker, which I guessed was female, walked towards us and out of the shadows.
"...Well, I actually didn't think that you could fight
...Lacina"
OOOH SHIT, PLOT TWIST BABY!
