I woke the next morning to someone humming and as my eyes adjusted to the sunlight streaming into the room I noticed a familiar face walking around. Shifting onto my side I watched on slightly amused to see Connor holding a duster in one hand and as he dusted the shelves in front of him I soon realized it was him humming as he worked.

I hadn't even realized I was staring at him until he finally turned around, apparently satisfied that he'd done a good job when he found me watching him. We froze at the same time and I felt my cheeks burning at being caught staring at one very attractive android. Connor eventually cleared his throat, a habit he'd picked up around Hank, and I turned my head rubbing at the bridge of my nose in an effort to take my mind away from Connor who continued to stare at me though now with a faint smile on his lips.

"Lola, is something the matter?" He asked me and I looked up to see him standing over me, still holding the duster and with a trace of a smile on his lips. I blinked at him unable to figure out just how he'd walked the distance between the shelves and the couch without me hearing him.

"How did you do that?" I asked him, getting a blank stare for my trouble and I sighed pointing to the shelves and then the couch. He opened his mouth for a moment and I rolled my eyes, knowing exactly what he thought I meant. "I meant how did you walk over here without me hearing you?" I explained, shifting over so he could take a seat beside me but Connor remained standing the LED on his head still blue.

"I believe your attention was focused elsewhere." Connor finally answered, taking a seat beside me after a pause and I just shrugged. "Now I believe it was my turn to ask you a question?" He said, a trace of a smile still on his lips. "What made you stay in the city after the android revolution?"

"That's an easy one, Connor. I have a home here so why would I leave it? Besides I think androids and humans need to learn to get along." I replied, getting a slightly bigger smile from Connor. "Plus I thought I'd be safe from maniac drivers." I added, not expecting Connor's LED to start flashing yellow and I blinked at him.

"I am very sorry that we ran you over, Lola but..." Connor trailed off with a wide-eye stare when I quickly reached over patting his shoulder in an attempt to calm him down.

"Geeze I was joking about that, Connor!" I hissed, trying to keep my voice down in case I woke Hank who had yet to make an appearance. "I forgive you hours ago so don't get so upset." I told him and he nodded the LED on his head flashing back to a solid blue though when he chewed his lip I rolled my eyes again. "Anyway I'm not exactly going to leave the city I grew up in.

"That makes sense, Lola." Connor replied and I snorted noting he was still chewing his lip. As Connor thought about his next question he noticed I was staring at him, completely silent and he frowned at me. Finally he grew curious and when he cleared his throat again, a habit he'd picked up, he watched as I slowly blinked. "Is there something wrong, Lola? You have been staring at me for a while now. Especially when I was dusting."

"Sorry but...it's so strange being this close to an android, Connor." I replied and he blinked those same chocolate-brown eyes at me giving me a deer caught in the headlights look as I tried to figure out what to say next. Hopefully something less stupid. "I mean...I've never sat next to one." I quickly replied and he nodded though I could still see him searching my face and it didn't help the strange fluttery feeling in my stomach having the android this close to me.

I scrunched up my face trying to figure out why I'd say something so stupid especially inches from an android.

It wasn't until Connor copied me that I let out a snort trying desperately not to laugh as he fixed me with one raised eyebrow and after a few seconds a faint smile.

"Why did Cyber-life have to make you so damn attractive looking?" I muttered, not knowing I had said my thoughts out aloud until Connor blinked back at me his LED spinning yellow for several seconds before I buried my face in my hands wishing I could just sink into the couch and disappear. "Said that out aloud didn't I?" I mumbled, my face hidden so Connor couldn't see my two very red cheeks though he could sense my faster heartbeat and he froze, surprised by my outburst."Shit."

"You...find me attractive?" Connor whispered, confused by my statement and without uncovering my face I gave him a very quick nod wondering why I had even mentioned that fact.
