"How's everybody doing?" Leon asked the audience, who responded with a big cheer. "Alright! That's what I like to hear! Now, I did mention that this particular tournament was going to be a little different. And here's why. We're going to have the people that lost the first match duke it out against each other. There aren't a lot of tournaments that follow this format, so here's hoping that this will lead to something extraordinary! First match in the Loser's Bracket, Toya and Agito vs Lloyd and Genis!"
"Here we go!" Genis said as he sent out Leafeon.
"Let's get it on!" Lloyd said as he sent out Ninjask.
"Are you ready for this?" Toya asked as he sent out Reuniclus.
"Let's do it to it!" Agito said as he sent out Cryogonal.
"Both sides ready? Battle begin!" the referee said.
"Let's start this match off right. Leaf Blade!" Genis said as Leafeon rapidly slashed blades of leaves at Reuniclus.
"Now, Metal Claw!" Lloyd said as Ninjask zipped around at Cryogonal, slashing away at it.
"Time to kick it up a notch! Blizzard!" Agito said as Cryogonal kicked up a strong icy wind.
"Now, Psychic!" Toya said as Reuniclus hits Leafeon with a psychic blast.
"Time we give Reuniclus a taste of our power. X-Scissor!" Lloyd said as Ninjask made an X-Slash at Reuniclus, knocking it out.
"Alright then… Iron Tail!" Genis said as Leafeon whacked Cryogonal with its glowing tail, knocking it out.
"Let's get to it, Electabuzz!" Toya said sending out Electabuzz.
"Let's go, Alakazam!" Agito said sending out Alakazam.
"Not a chance! X-Scissor!" Lloyd said as Ninjask used another X-Scissor on Alakazam.
"Time to swat that bug. Thunder!" Toya said as Electabuzz unleashed a mighty thunder at Ninjask, knocking it out.
"Shadow Ball!" Genis said as Leafeon launched a Shadow Ball at Alakazam, knocking it out.
"Looks like I'm down to my last one." Agito said, sending out Metagross.
"Here we go." Lloyd said sending out Sandaconda. "Bulldoze that Electabuzz!" he said as Sandaconda runs down Electabuzz, knocking it out.
"Time for a Dark Pulse!" Genis said as Leafeon launches a Dark Pulse at Metagross.
"My turn now. Hammer Arm!" Agito said as Metagross slugged Leafeon, finally knocking it out.
"Well, here's my last one." Toya said as he sent out Skarmory.
"Here we go!" Genis said as he sent out Coalossal. "Time to end this… Incinerate!" he said as Coalossal fires rapid fire balls at its opponents, knocking them both out.
"Battle is over! Winning team is Lloyd and Genis!" the referee announced.
"Whew… That was crazy. I guess we still have a long way to go before we get the hang of these Pokemon battles." Agito said.
"It's been hard for a lot of us at first." Lloyd said.
"But with a little bit of experience and some strategic handling, you two would pull it off in no time." Genis said.
"Hopefully so. Once we get a handle on it, let's battle again some time. I'll be looking forward to it." Toya said.
