Chloe

"I'm hungry!" Emily wailed after a while.

"Me too," Ham agreed. "Let's go find someplace to eat."

"Let's go back to the hotel," Benny offered. "There was a lunch buffet downstairs."

At this thought Chloe offered her own suggestion, "We have plenty of time to eat at the hotel. Let's go explore and try a restaurant."

"Sounds good," Timmy agreed.

"Sounds good," Tommy repeated while rubbing his stomach.

The teens thought about it for a moment before agreeing with Chloe's plan. They headed back to the hotel to shower and drop off their baseball stuff. Chloe redid her hair, putting it up in a messy bun, threw on her sunglasses, and slipped her feet into her sandals. When everyone was ready they headed down the hill to the city.

"Look, honey! It's the Rodreaguiz siblings!"

"Quick take a picture!"

"Look how good-looking they are!"

Happy that she re-did her hair, Chloe grabbed her brother's arm and posed. After a few moments she got bored, she grabbed Benny's hand and pulled him into the nearest restaurant.

"Wow, this place is so fancy," Avery said in awe.

It was true, the tables were polished wood, the lights were fancy, and they were right over the ocean.

"How many?" The host asked.

"16," Smalls answered after a quick count.

The host sucked in her breath, "That's going to be an hour at the least. It could even be two hours."

"That's alright," Chloe smiled. "We can go elsewhere."

The group turned around to leave when they heard a familiar voice.

"I'm the son of Issac Price! You can even check my card!"

Chloe tapped him on the shoulder, "Hey Logan. What's going on?"

"Hi, this host won't give me a table. Even though my social status is higher than everyone's here."

"Like I said," the host huffed. "You have to wait like everyone else."

Logan grumped but didn't say anything else to the host.

"Come on Rodriguez, let's go somewhere else."

The restaurant went silent.

"Are you Benny and Chloe?" The host asked.

Chloe and Benny slowly nodded with narrowed eyes.

"Oh, we got a table for you!" The host announced flustered.

She gathered up some menus and led them outside where a table was set up for a party of twenty.

"Wait earlier you said it was going to a couple of hours, how do you suddenly have room?" Harper asked.

"We had a reservation for a bachelorette party but we can always put them somewhere else. Please sit," The host gestured to the table.

The group continued to look suspiciously at the host but sat down once some appetizers were set down.

"And please don't worry about paying," the host continued. "It's on the house."

Chloe shrugged and sat down in the middle of the table, Logan went to sit next to her but was beat by Benny. With Benny sitting on one side, Avery sitting on the other, and the rest of the girls sitting in front of Chloe; Logan had no choice but to sit next to Ham and on the other side of Benny.

"See Chloe," Logan grinned. "If you throw your name around, you won't ever have to work or pay for anything in your life."

"But that is so wrong," Maddie protested. "We shouldn't get free stuff just because of where we or Chloe and Benny come from."

"I agree," Chloe said firmly.

Logan looked crestfallen and tried to engage in a conversation with Timmy which got annoying since Tommy repeated everything.

"You have a crush on Yeah-Yeah?" Came Grace's loud whisper.

"Be quiet," Maddie pleaded. "Chloe can't know! She'll feed me to her dogs!"

At this Chloe turned to the conversation and took a drink of her soda.

"You can have him," Chloe said.

The younger girls gasped, Grace ducked her head and Avery's eyes widened.

"But...But you can't get rid of Alan!" Avery hissed. "He loves you and you love him!"

Chloe shook her head and sighed softly, "Not anymore."

Okay, that was a lie, she did love him. She loved him so much it hurts. But she wanted to take a break from Yeah-Yeah, what better way than letting Maddie have him?

Grace, Maddie, and Avery shared a worried look but didn't say anything else. Chloe looked to see if Yeah-Yeah had been listening, he heard. His blue eyes were clouded and his face was formed into a frown.

"Aw Alan," Chloe said softly, for once not calling him by his nickname.

By now the whole table was watching, Logan was grinning from ear to ear, Benny looked worried, Maddie was blushing, Avery looked on with wide eyes, Small's was covering his eyes, Harper looked upset, and everyone else was staring.

"Um," Chloe stood up, her voice wavered. "I'll meet you back at the hotel."

Benny stood up next to Chloe and bent his head down, "Aw Chloe. Are you sure?"

They both knew that question wasn't directed at going back to the hotel, but leaving Yeah-Yeah.

"I'll be fine," Chloe kissed her brother on the cheek before walking out with her head high. After all, she broke his heart not the other way around.

Harper

Harper paced nervously with the other girls and their brothers on the roof of the hotel. Chloe had called a meeting once they got back to the hotel. Everyone was there except Benny and Yeah-Yeah

Is Chloe going to kill Maddie? Harper wondered. Is she going to steal Yeah-yeah back?

Suddenly the door opened and Chloe walked out.

"I'm sorry!" Maddie burst out wailing. "You can have him back. I don't want him."

Chloe held up her hands, "I'm not here about that."

"Then what's going on?" Avery asked.

"Harper I'm setting you and Benny up. I told Benny to meet me at the sandlot behind the hotel in 15 minutes. I won't show but you will. Make up some excuse about me being sick or something. I don't care."

Harper's face burned."You're setting me up with your brother?"

"Yeah," Chloe grinned. "I love you two together."

"He never pays that much attention to me."

"He will now." Chloe clapped her hands. "Next, Maddie you and Alan are going down to the boardwalk. This will be a good chance for you two to end up together."

Maddie blushed, her face turning bright red.

"Aw Chloe," Squints said.

Chloe held up her hand and glared at the boys before turning back to Maddie.

"Ask Yeah-Yeah for a piece of gum, if he gives you one you're golden. The boys will be there to help. Then later they will ditch you with Alan."

All Maddie could do was nod.

"Any questions?"

Kenny raised his hand, "What are you going to be doing Chlo?"

"Probably hanging out in my room, or with Logan. I don't know yet."

Harper blocked out the rest as she thought about hanging out with Benny, hanging out with Benny alone.

"Okay, Harper let's go get you ready," Chloe said.

Harper walked towards the lot behind the hotel and saw Benny kicking the dirt. She picked nervously at the dress Chloe gave her to wear. It was a yellowish goldish color and she had her hair curled with a headband on.

"Oh hey Harper," Benny greeted. "Have you seen Chloe? She was in the bathroom when I left and told me to go ahead. It's been ten minutes though, have you seen her?"

"Yeah, I have. She said that she wasn't feeling well. That maybe she ate something bad and wanted to stay in the room," Harper used the cover story.

"Oh."

They lapsed into an awkward silence until Harper spoke.

"You, Chloe, and Ham are always hitting home runs, can you teach me?"

"Sure."

Benny picked up a bat and held it out to Harper. She grabbed it and took a practice swing when Benny stopped her.

"What are doing is dipping your bat. Making the ball go up and not straight."

Harper tried again but only succeeded in almost dropping the bat. She turned to him with a sigh.

"Here let me help."

Benny went behind her, his hands guiding her hands along with the bat, his arms brushing hers, and his chin almost resting on her shoulder.

"Harper," his voice was soft and smooth like honey.

"Yeah?"

She dropped the bat and turned around to see Benny staring into her eyes. She took her arms and wrapped them around his neck. His arms snaked around her waist and he pulled her close. He leaned closer and Harper moved towards him. They closed their eyes and went in for a kiss.

"Hi, guys!"

Stupid Logan.

They broke apart, Benny growled and Harper sighed. Logan came over chatting animatedly, Harper ignored him.

Who knew how long it would take for them to kiss again.

Hi everyone. How is the chapter? What do you think about it?

I just want to point out that I'm not trying to make Chloe seem like the villain or a jerk. She is only 14 and doesn't really understand the feelings she's having. She basically loves Yeah-yeah so much it hurts and she is scared of what it is going to do. Chloe is just trying to figure out what to do.

I have no idea when the next chapter is coming out but I'll try to keep you all posted.
