"Am i worthy?"

The morning was a moment when every creature, even the nocturnals, were able to welcome the new day and leave their problems behind, whoever for certain tanuki this was not the case since she was woke up first thing in the morning by a white haired guy using sport clothes which was an odd view for her but she enjoyed it in silence. She was told to get up and dressed for her training will be starting at that moment like she was told yesterday, she at first was pretty confident since she play sports and was teach how to fight by shirou in the past but Michiru wasn't near the level she needed right now and if she was gonna train under him, Shirou will make sure to give her a personal training. "That's it, but you must always keep your arms up like this." He explained before closing his fist and raising his arms in a defensive position before the girl did the same and in no time he closed the distance between them throwing a punch to her who was able to move away, she had seen Shirou fight and he was not even half as fast as he could go.

"Okay but can't you at least warn me before doing that? I know you're going slower for me but what if i dont move?"

"Then you will be punched, don't get me wrong, I don't enjoy that thought, but you have to train your reflexes too. You can't always trust your eyes, that's why when I search for any scent I close my eyes." He relaxed his body, turning into a wolf and doing just that, taking a deep breath while closing his eyes. "Sometimes the other senses interfiere, not only with the nose but with everything."

Slowly his body, the ground, the building, Michiru and the nearby structures came to his head, this was something natural for him of course. "I can see only with my nose, this does not work while fighting, but it helps me move around when I can't see." She stared at him, by his request she was in her human form. "I remember...when you were hiding from the cops I used my nose and I found you." She slowly took deep breaths, the urge to morph into a wolf right now was hard to resist. "It felt as if the scents spoke to me, leading me to where I wanted to be, you know?" Losing herself in his thoughts she ends up morphing into a wolf, it was the first time Shirou saw her like this and he had to admit he was a bit shocked but kept hearing her.

"But it's not like you explain it, I can't tell where or who the scents are." She began to walk, the scent of the wolf in the air, she could see him but only him, the other scents seemed distant, however she could see silhouettes behind him and beside him, kids, old people, women and men. She took a step back, opening her eyes to realize she didn't move more than just one step, but she was in front of Shirou who looked at her.

"What did you saw?" He sounded concerned. "Nothing, I think you have the scent of other people, for a second I saw more people here with you." She explained turning human once more. "Shirou, let's continue with the training okay?" He nodded and once more they kept sparring while she tried to avoid every punch but this was not a show, there were a few that connected on her arms and torso, they hurt but not as much as she would think.

Melissa was finishing her cooking when she noticed Michiru and Shirou walking into the room, the girl had messy hair and some bruises all over her while the wolf seemed perfectly fine. "I suppose you two had a fight?" She asks looking at Shirou who avoided eye contact.

"In fact we were training, shirou was teaching me how to predict from where the next punch will come." She rubbed her red cheek. "But...it's harder than what they say in the movies, it hurted even if he contained himself." Melissa stared at the guy before sitting down eating. "So, Michiru you will be working at the police station, right? While you and Shirou will be training out of your working hours?"

"That's the plan, she has a lot to learn but she will get good at it." He smiled softly. 'The young people these days.'

Once they were done, Michiru took a quick shower and went down wearing her uniform, to what both Gem and Melissa took a few pictures, telling her that they would sent it to her so she could share it with her parents, this topic made her lose her smile for a moment before thank them and walk outside but before Shirou could join her gem stop him. "Has she mentioned his parents? It's been almost 3 years, they must be worried and she must miss them."

"I know but no, she has never talked about her parents since she came here." The Horner couple turn to look between them before looking back to Shirou who was gone by then, both keep staring at the door for a moment and without speaking up, they had the same thought. 'Those two are pretty similar.'

For a moment Shirou thought he would need to catch the tanuki girl but he was wrong, she was leaning on the wall waiting for him, smiling as he approached and he returned the smile. "Again, you look good with that uniform."

"Y-you think? Maybe I should wear it at home too?" She teases winking at him to which he rolled his eyes. "You don't look THAT good with it, let's not lose our remember it will be a day where that uniform will only become a part of what you should wear when the team it's assembled." He took a pause. "By the way, it appears that Flip will help us with the investigation, but he wants to speak with mayor Rose, it seems whoever is behind this knows about me and my nose, they erase not only the cameras but also erase their scent."

She had the reaction he expected, a look of confusion over her face as well as concern, they had to be halfway to the police station by now. "Wait shirou but how is that, Alan didn't have that much information about you. Then someone is investigating you?"

"It seems so, everything is happening too fast these days." The silence, it had been a few days now and the girl leaned softly on the right side of her partner. "Shirou...have you ever had a goal in your life? Besides being the protector of Anima City?" He didn't push her away, but that question made him grunt. "I don't care about other stuff besides my duty."

"You don't care about anything at all?" She whispered, lost in her own thoughts, if he really didn't care about anything besides that maybe what she felt the other day was only on her mind. 'Maybe i am just a friend he helps out of his duty…' Feeling a bit sad they got to the station and walked in different directions, Michiru staying on the front desk taking notes on what she was meant to do. "Kagemori! Good job with the report, tho for next time you should ask ME for help. The name is Aneko, good to have you aboard." The lady speaking to her seemed pretty young, it could even be her big sister, this surprised her since it was the first time she saw her. "Ah...y-yeah thanks...i'll keep it in mind." Her lack of emotion made the woman standing in front of her raise an eyebrow before looking as if she was a weird bug. "Wow, okay that was a lame reply, what's wrong little one? It's still too early to be sad."

She just mumbled something as she looked away. "It's nothing…I just didn't sleep well last night." Slowly she walked away to her desk, sitting in silence before gently pulling her cheeks trying to mood herself up. Just then she noticed a lot of papers and books laying on her desk, looking around she tried to make any sense out of this but it was Aneko who got closer to explain. "Well, to be honest you didn't went to the police academy and you need to know all of this to work with us, laws, rules, procedures. You know, the basics." Michiru's eyes begin to open. "W-wait am i….supposed to learn all of this?..."

"Well of course! This is of course the basics as I mentioned before, once you're done with this you have to do some tests and learn more." She looked at how the girl began to melt on her chair, it was fun to mess with the new officers but she was telling the truth. "Relax, since anima city doesn't work like other cities you can still work here, just try to learn this, it will make the paper work easier and also will guide your actions." She leaned on the wall before pointing her head to one side. "Ogami follows it as much as he can, but he is too emotional sometimes if others are in danger. But you know that."

She nodded, counting the books and manuals, they stood like an annoying bug been almost 20, she had never been a fan of books, she was more of comics but this was for her work. "Fineee i'll give them a read, what are we gonna do today anyway? I don't suppose I'll be reading my whole shift. Right?" A nod was the reply she got.

"That's right, we are gonna go to where you got ikki and look for anyone suspicious, there were no traces of the drug on his place. Ogami believes that someone must have taken the rest if there was some left." She growled, still hating that Shirou was in the solo role once more, but now she could become better. "Okay then, will Katsumoto come with us? Or do you have other partners?"

"Heh, nope, he is my partner since I joined the force, if you're gonna bring something while patrolling make sure to have it ready. I'll go for him." As she left, Michiru got a small notebook and one of the books, it had some of the procedures and it was small enough to carry it everywhere. Once she was ready she could see the two coming back, waving for her to join them and as the three of them left, an old man saw this with a smile, turning around to continue his walk towards an office. For this day, Aneko y Katsumoto took a police car for the patrol, though the guy had to sit on the back seat much to his annoyance. "Hey, what's the big idea! Only childs and criminals are supposed to be in the back seat!" He claimed barking on his beast form to which michiru couldn't hold back a small laugh.

"Ha! Don't think I forgot that you ate the last donut and didn't bought more!"

"I told you all that it was because I was busy! I was forgiven!" The two keep yelling to each other about donuts and cake while the young girl looks at them with a puzzled look. This was a behaviour someone could expect from brothers or young people but here she was hearing two adults fighting over donuts, nothing less than a policeman. She took this moment to wonder on her thoughts, at school she had some friends and companions of sports, when she became a beastman she stayed in her room and slowly they stopped trying to contact her so it was easier to leave her home even if that meant leaving her parents behind. 'Mom...' She thought taking the phone out of her pocket, staring at the screen, she should call her at some time.

"Ru…" Since she escaped her mom kept posting pictures of cakes on her birthday, that means she still waited for her right?.

"Michiru!" She heard someone yelling her name and this made her drop the phone. "Gahh! You scared me!" Both officers stared at what was in front of them, without her knowledge, Michiru had turned into a cat and actually hissed to them. Very slowly Aneko took some pictures before smile. "You should be a cat more often, you are adorable"

"I don't really...enjoy changing for that long." She quickly turned back, getting out of the car only to look around. They were near the street where she and Shirou fought Ikki a few days ago, her nose still could catch the scent of blood. Katsumoto began to explain to her how to patrol and she kept taking notes even when he assured her it was not necessary. "I want to make things right so I need notes to don't mess up, i….tend to be a bit clumsy" She confesses with embarrassment.

"Fine, just keep this in mind, since we are just 3, we will split and keep contact with the radio, anything unusual even if it looks like trash. Here, take a look." He proceeded to show a picture of a zip bag. "It won't be as easy as you think, sometimes people lose their medicine. But even so we must check the content or in the contrary, anyone acting weird. For what we know, the dealer could be around since it was here where Ikki lost control of himself."

The three kept silent for a moment, it was something serious and even Flip was gonna help, not that the police knew yet but still was something to keep in mind. After this they went into separate ways, nothing seemed unusual, each of them kept asking if someone suspicious had been around but no one saw anything and even those who recognized Michiru from the baseball games couldn't help them. "Anything yet?" Aneko asked on the radio after a few hours had passed, no one had found not even a hint. "Negative, the workers of the stores near where Ikki was arrested claimed that he was alone the whole time."

'Alone the whole time? But why would he consume it here from all places?' The officer stopped his search to read the report on his phone. "According to this, the drug needs to be on the body for some time and for the subject to lose control the dosis has to be high." Something kept bothering him tho, the temperament of the ones consuming the drug became erratic after the first time, but ikki remained as himself being the reason of why his rampage was so out of place. 'Hold on, if it's a drug like any other, then an overdosis could make the effects show up earlier. Then it was on purpose.' The white noise of the radio brought him back to reality. "You found something?"

"Kagemori here...I think I found something."

For the old wolf, making some patrols was nothing more than a regular thing, but right now his body refused to relax, every time he catched the scent of adrenaline he rushed to the origin only to find someone playing, angry or working out on the street. Since he didn't had a sample of the drug, it was impossible for him to be able to track it or those that consumed it. The only clue was the fact that their adrenaline levels would be higher than usual, tho till now it was calm. 'Too calm.' He thought, after searching the areas where drug dealers used to work, to try and go back to the docks since last time at least he noticed the lack of scents, if they had been there again maybe there was something now. As he made his way to the docks, kuro overfly his head keeping an eye for anything near him and the closer he got to his destination, something on his body began to yell at him, his instincts ordering him to turn around and leave. Froze on his place he found this very strange, not once since he became Ginrou he felt this urge to run away, usually to run towards his destination, but this time was otherwise. 'This can't be good.' Taking his phone out he dialled the number of Flip who didn't took to long to answer.

"Ogami, what is it? I am busy." He sounded a bit annoyed but not angry at all, maybe he was dealing with something too.

"I am near the docks and something feels off, I wanted to make sure that none of your men were near here." There was silence on the other line of the call, some mumbles on the back before the older man spoke again. "Not at all, I just made sure of that, did you find something to say this?" There was something weird on his voice and that only helped to make it worse for him. "No, but I feel…" Putting this feeling in words was hard for him after so long. "I feel nervous, if i find anything i'll tell you, gotta go." And just like that before Flip could say another word the call was ended.

Jumping over the containers on the surroundings he approached the buildings, finding nothing but the more he stayed there, the more the cold spreaded on his back to the point he began to growl, covering his mouth to don't make any sound. Then the scent of adrenaline came to his nose forcing him to run to the origin, there was blood too, blood and adrenaline, maybe someone else had fallen under the effects of the drug and actually hurt a civilian badly. No, not on his watch, he wouldn't let someone else die or be hurt if he was there, but once he found where the scent came from, there were bodies on the ground, missing parts of their bodies, eyes, arms, legs. The species were different, but clearly they were predators, his eyes open wide as he kneels beside one of the bodies, slowly cleaning the blood from its face only to be welcomed by its eyes opening.

'They're alive!' He thought before picking out his phone once more. "Ogami here! I require paramedics on the docks! There are about 5 or 6 citizens injured and with limbs missing, they seem to be alive but I don't know how much blood they have lost."

The other side of the line was attended by a woman who asked the specific dock where he was located while in the background she was giving some orders. "Ogami, we are sending ambulances there, if it's possible please apply a tourniquet to stop the bleeding, they will go as fast as possible." Shirou quickly left the phone aside, ripping his jacket to use it like bandages, he could feel the adrenaline pouring from their skin, unsure if it was because of the drug or by the attack. He had to turn back to his human form or else his nose would catch the blood scent and send his head into a spiral of desperation, then a hand pulled his arm, the owner of the arm was a young horse beastman who had lost his legs. "You...are….og.."

Kindly shirou hold his hand before sign to remain in silence. "It's okay, help is on its way, you have to keep your strength, once you are attended you can tell me whatever you want." But the hand was getting cold and it's hold was getting weaker, his own body began to pour adrenaline as his breathing became erratic.

He moved the people close to each one, now the blood was not a problem, it was more the lack of it but he knew how to treat a wound so he tried to stay calm as the sounds of ambulances became closer, kuro was nowhere to be found but he didn't notice. "Gin...rou...please…" He turned his head, the eyes of the young men lack of light as he cried but his gaze was locked on him, like if he knew but how could he. "Please i...dont wanna die."

"No don't, you won't die, the medics are about to arrive." He held the hand once more, there was no strength this time, but he could see the calm in the eyes of the injured man. It's been a long time since he held a body whose life was ending, a feeling he long desired to never feel again, but as he continued trying to keep him awake, a voice called his name.

'He won't die, as long as Ginrou protects him, his soul is safe.'

He didn't try to look for the owner of the voice, he kept embracing the hold on the hand, till the paramedics tried to move him away to what he refused but ended up moving away to clean his hands. Gabu was waiting for him next to his car as well as Tachiki who offered something for the wolf to clean his hands, giving him time to finish and even after, waiting till the panting begin to fade. "Ogami, what happened here?"

"...I don't know...they were like that when i arrived, i thought someone was a victim of the drug but this...the smell of blood in the air was too much i…" The image of his hometown on fire, blood everywhere came to his head, the smell, his death, being buried by the lifeless bodies, nirvasyl, anima city on fire. "Ogami, are you okay?" His jaw clenched, almost with enough force to break his teeth, his hands were covered in blood, blood of innocents, innocents he had killed. His heart began to pound harder on his chest, his lungs couldn't take air anymore or that was what he felt. "Ogami!" His head felt lighter as the ground began to move under his feet, he couldn't keep his balance as his gaze began to go dark. "Ogami! Quick call a paramedic." He felt something hard hitting his back and head before he only heard distant voices calling him. "Shirou!"

A few hours earlier the three reunited to where Katsumoto found something suspicious, which ended up being some notes with blood, it was the blood Michiru felt when they arrived, so it was not her imagination after all. They pick it up and put it in a zip bag while looking around for any sign of a fight, but besides that spot there was no blood on the surroundings, tho the blood was somewhat fresh. No, fresh would be incorrect since the blood was acting more like some kind of slime. "We better take this back to the station, maybe it can be analyze and checked if it's from ikki or someone else. I had never seen blood acting like this." Michiru couldn't tell but the two experienced officers knew this was mostly not normal.

"Leaving this out, I didn't found anything out of the ordinary. No one saw Ikki with a stranger so I had to be done somewhere else." Aneko explained while Michiru pulled her notebook and read something. "According to some people, ikki was constantly running from them after losing control, it seems that he only attacked Shirou and myself, maybe he somehow kept some control to avoid hurting those he knew."

"It's a possibility but we can't be sure." Then the dog lady called the station by radio. "Officer Tanaka here, it seems we found some kind of blood maybe belonging to the tiger known as ikki, we will go back to the station so it can be analyzed." There was a voice on the other side of the line that answered while Katsumoto noticed how Michiru kept taking notes and couldn't help but to chuckle. "Heh, your taking the notes very seriously isn't it? What have you learned till now?"

"Well, to be honest not much, I am more like, writing down what people said. Ikki was not someone violent, which was weird for a tiger. Then why would he come here to consume drugs, it doesn't make sense."

"Not everything in this world makes sense, that's part of nature. You know?" He was gonna add something else but the alarmed voice of Aneko stopped him. "What do you mean? An attack on the docks?" This caused Michiru to start getting nervous, instinctively turning her head to where the docks should be as she began to slowly walk there. "Hey Michiru, where are you going?"

"Shirou…" She whispered at the time her arms turned into wings, his face shown concern and fear. "Shirou is there, I know it." She was gone leaving the two behind, looking at each other. "Wait, I never told her Ogami was on the docks, how did she knew?"

"That's not important, let's go, maybe she'll need backup." By the time Michiru arrived, the ambulances and paramedics were checking on the victims, she began to look around for the white haired wolf, growing more concerned thanks to the conditions of the people. Then her nose catched the scent of the wolf, turning her head in time to see how he collapsed on the floor in front of the lieutenant and tachiki. "Shirou! Shirou, are you okay? what's wrong!" Without hesitation she ran and picked him up on arms, looking at the two mens beside them. "What happened?! Is he hurt? Why didn't you catch him?!" The two stared at her, she was basically yelling at them, two paramedics came closer thanks to the yells of the girl but she growled at them, surrounding herself and the wolf with her tail. "Michiru, they won't harm him, you know that. They want to see what happened."

But these words landed on deaf ears, her eyes resembled a predator ready to kill anyone that dared to walk closer, her hold on the numb body was firm, like a mindless animal. It was Tachiki the one that gave one step forward before kneeling down and looking at her eyes. "Young girl, he is fine, but they need to check on him and you know me. It's fine, don't worry." He smiled at her but his mustache didnt let her see all of his gestures but it was enough to make her realize what she was doing. She allowed them to come closer by removing her tail, they were quick so she wouldn't have time to change her mind but there was no time for her to do so since she stared at the wolf without understanding why she acted like that.

'It's normal, right? I just didn't wanted them to hurt my Shirou.' She almost punched her face after thinking this, hiding her face from the others. 'W-what? No, bad michiru, is not my shirou, it's just shirou, just shirou.' She saw how they picked him up and carried him to the ambulance, slowly walking to the vehicle. 'Just my shirou…' She stopped and turned to see her superiors who smiled waving a hand. "Go ahead, we will explain everything on the station, make sure he is fine." She nodded before climbing on the back of the vehicle as the conductor drove away. The two officers remained in silence for a moment before turning around to face Gabu and Tashiki, Katsumoto was the first to talk. "Sir, forgive my intrusion but, what happened to Ogami? Was he injured in the incident?" The two shake their heads to deny this. "He just collapsed after the paramedics and us arrived, he couldn't even explain what he found. What about you? Did you find something?" Aneko proceeded to show the bag with the sample before the lieutenant took it. "We found this near the area where Nakamura was intercepted by Michiru and Ogami, we believe it's her blood but it's acting different, so we took a sample so it could be analyzed, maybe it has some remainder of the drug." They handed the bag as the oldest man inspected it closely. "So, besides that did you three find anything out of the ordinary?"

They shook their heads. "No sir, nothing at all, the behaviour of Ikki was normal, it differs from the patterns from before." This was odd, if ikki had a burst out like everyone before, it meant he had some really high levels of the drug on his system, but those with their blood containment by it tend to be more aggressive and irrational on the days before the break down. 'Maybe ikki found out something and they exposed him to a really high dosis. Perhaps that blood sample is what we need to get some answers. ' Tachiki stared at the youngest officers in front of him before looking to where the young wolf collapsed, from some time now, the sun seemed to bring only bad news and he was starting to fear this was only the beginning.

Gabu and Aneko were absorbed with the search of the scene, but Katsumoto noticed this on the old man.

Meanwhile, the mayor Rose was informed about the collapse of Shirou and the fact that he was brought to a hospital, that was really concerning since no one besides her, koichi, alan, michiru and nazuna, no one could know the true identity of the wolf. But this time she was unable to leave her office, the job as mayor was becoming a bit too much for her to handle alone even with the help of Koichi, mostly because of the drug problem and the future allowance for humans to come to the city. But still the situation of his old friend concerned her deeply, shirou was not someone to collapse even with the most serious injury he could get. It was then and there she remembered something Michiru talked with her after the nirvasyl festival.

"Huh? You want to know how shirou was all those years ago when he rescued me and kuro?" The old woman confirmed, holding the cup of black tea infront of her, from some time now Michiru would come to her after a fight or a misunderstanding with the wolf, this was amusing since it ressemble a girlfriend asking for advice to the mother of her boyfriend. "Well, to be honest I'm not sure if the answer will please you, young lady because you see, before I got to meet him he had a thousand of years to change before hand."

She wasn't avoiding the question, even if it seemed that way, it was just the truth, she had no point of reference to tell if he had changed as much as the tanuki thought or not.

"But something I really can tell is that since you arrived to this city, he is happier, like if he was a living corpse and now he is living once more. Sure he is still a grumpy old bag of bones but sure he has improved on that." She took a long sip of her tea before putting it down, still holding it to feel the warmness from the drink, staring at the reflection of herself on the dark liquid.

"Why do you want to know?" There was a suspicious tone in her voice, the youngest girl took a few moments to answer, it seemed to her like she didn't knew how to order her thoughts. "Well, you see mayor, he has been having….nightmares….really often, he thinks I don't notice but, I can hear him screaming from time to time." This surprised her, after all these years she didn't know he had these dreams but sure enough she was not surprised. 'Maybe that's what was bothering him the other day' She thought, both females remained in silence. "Michiru, nightmares can be caused by many things, but you must understand that what happens inside his head is beyond our understanding, he is almost like a god and is immortal, we can offer him as much support as any friend but we have our limits."

The words that came from the girl's mouth made her smile and felt a bit of jealousy. "I know, but since I met him I always felt strange, that's why I got mad whenever he treated me like I was nothing more than a brat. I don't want him to be alone anymore, never." Tho this was said as if the girl was in some kind of trance, she didn't seem like she realized what she just said.

'Even if you know you will die eventually?'

What if shirou collapse was related to those nightmares? From starters why would he have nightmares at all? The only reason, Nirvasyl, everything bad happening to him was related to his home. He had to see his people get murder, burned and even himself was killed. "Ogami, could it be?" She stopped her thoughts before rubbing her tired eyes, been mayor was not as easy as she thought. "I'm getting a bit old for this."

At the hospital, Michiru was sitting in the waiting room, she just now realized the error she had committed allowing them to take shirou. What if they realized he was Ginrou or even immortal, sure he was respected in the city and everyone knew him but there were still people who despised him after he had to run from the police thanks to Alan. Her hands couldn't help but to shake, in fact she had to turn back to her human form since she kept digging her claws on her skin making it bleed. "This is not how it should be, i should have been there with him" She now understood that they would not be together all the time as before, she was an officer now and she had to follow rules and a protocole, at least till the nirvasyl team was formed, but that was still pretty far from happening. Still she would find a way to keep Shirou under her eye to make sure he was okay.

"Miss Kagemori?" Her name being called made her jump out of the chair, scaring the nurse in the process. "Yes it's me, how is Shirou? Is he okey?" She was basically yelling at the women, who seemed a bit mad but it was something she was used to by now. "He is fine, he is still asleep in his room, we got a call from the mayor's assistant so he would get a private room. There was nothing wrong with his body, no injuries, no poison, anything abnormal." This made her release a sigh of relief since it seemed they didn't find out about his powers. "However, the oxygen in his blood was really low and his blood pressure dropped to levels really unusual for someone his age, it might have been caused by over working but he will be fine. He just needs to rest for two days, we will keep him here so it won't happen again." She then guided her to the room, opening the door so she could go in.

"If something happens or if he wakes up, please call us and a doctor will come to check him right away." With this she was alone in the room, it's been a while since she had been in a hospital room, the beep coming from the electrocardiogram connected to shirou chest was the only noise in the room. Staring at the unconscious wolf made her notice how his face seemed worried, not something you should see on the face of someone asleep anyway.

"Shirou, you promised not to push yourself and yet again here you are." She proceeded to sit next to him, the sound of the chair moving seems louder on the silent room, but once she was done she could hold his hand, the gloves were removed by the hospital staff, so she could feel his skin, it was warm but she could tell it was a bit harsh to her touch. Maybe thanks to how his life was before becoming immortal. "You are making me go crazy shirou... look at me...i was someone who loved sports….i got here….find you…" She placed his hand on her cheek, closing her eyes to focus on the feeling. "I got mad at you, you locked me on a room...you saved me….multiple times...i saved you a few myself…" For a moment she thought she felt movement in the hand against her cheek but after inspecting it there was no change.

"I am still immature...and I'm trying to do my best to prove to you and myself that I can be helpful to this city… to you…" She could feel some tears coming down her face, she was surprised, she felt like a waste of time, he was always saving him, when she was around everyone got hurt, even when nazuna and her had the accident, she was there. "I just want to find my place...I'm not even a beastman or a human…. I'm not as beautiful as nazuna, nor smart as you." More tears begin to fill her eyes, unable to look at her partner. "I promised to be useful and help you but I can't even do that...what am I supposed to do? Shirou...what am i…"

The breathing of the wolf forced her to look at him, stared at his face, he seemed more calm now, she could even tell he was smiling. "He seems happier with you around" She then remembered those lips, she felt bad, he was in bad shape, but at that moment everything in the world seemed to stop and it felt like nothing was wrong with the world. "Maybe…" Her body felt once more pretty hot, she bent down over the bed, making sure to don't lean on him so don't wake him up. Her brain was working at full gear, but everything stopped when her lips finally felt something against them, with fear and shyness she began to kiss him, she had no experience at all in that department but it felt natural and at some point, he began to kiss her back. It was not a passionate kiss or anything, it was kind and affectionate, she could get lost in that, but this was wrong. He wasn't awake, she was taking advantage of someone asleep, but then some pale eyes stared back at her.

"Hey…"

Aaaaaand we are back, YAY, I'm very sorry for the delay, I couldn't begin to write without remembering my puppy. You guys didn't know but I began to write under the same moon at the time I took care of him, so it was painful to do so. The chapter was not as long as I wanted to, but I feel like I have all the cards on the table now. As you all know, kissing someone while they're asleep is really bad, so unless it's your partner, don't do it. Anyway I want to hear what all of you think of this chapter, what happened to Shirou and why is he having so many nightmares? Take care and I'll see you in the next chapter. I'll try to update each 1 or 2 weeks since I am working now. But don't worry! I won't abandon this at all!
