Brooklyn's tests begins here.
One of the uniformed men knocked on Thailog's office door, and he let him in.
"Our prisoner's first test is ready, Master," said the human, lowering his head. Thailog smiled, folding his hands together. At last, it was time to play.
"Excellent, go get my little plaything," he said gleefully.
Brooklyn opened his tired eyes to his door opening, and sighed, knowing now that his tests were here. He had been lucky to have one glass of water brought to him a day now, that kept him hydrated. The men hauled Brooklyn up, pulling him out of the room.
He was shoved into a room with obstacles, and Thailog's voice rang through the air.
"Welcome, successor of Goliath, to a first of a series of tests for you!" Greeted Thailog. Brooklyn folded his arms.
"Whatever you got for me is probably lame," he growled, though his gut was getting a bad feeling, as well as his head feeling sore.
"Oh, but I designed each one especially for you, to test your endurance as a future leader. This first test, avoid the obstacles in this room to get to the flag. This is to see how quick you are. Go!"
Brooklyn gasped as he was nearly hit by a swinging log that hit the wall. He ducked, crawling beneath it, then running the rest of the way, only to have a knife almost strike him in the head.
"Jalapena!" He cried, as the knife barely sliced him, shaking. It only got tougher, with more dangerous things being thrown at him like darts, one had struck his leg while he tried avoiding them.
Just as Brooklyn sighed in relief when he saw the flag so close, six of Thailog's men jumped down, holding taser sticks in their hands.
Just great! Brooklyn thought, rolling his eyes, having no choice but to defend himself as the humans attacked, swiping one with his tail, jumping out of the way as one of the tasers barely hit his still sensitive skin.
He was doing well, already taking out three of them, but Brooklyn still didn't enjoy having to fight humans, even if they were working with Thailog.
Something happened, though. He was about to finish off the last human when dizziness hit his head. Brooklyn put a hand on his forehead, struggling to focus, grabbing the last human and throwing him at the wall, knocking him out, for he didn't kill humans.
Brooklyn ignored that weird headache that came out of nowhere, focusing on his goal, finally grabbing the flag. He couldn't help but smirk, satisfied he bested his first test after pulling out the dart stuck in his leg, even if it was just a game played by the enemy.
The mic rang through the room. "You seemed to have finished quite nicely, friend. But as of now, you aren't done quite yet, for the next tests won't be so easy."
Brooklyn didn't reply back, his heart fluttering nervously from this news, as the humans took his arms, cuffing him, then putting him back in his cell.
Another glass of water was there like before, and Brooklyn took it, glad he was getting water, drinking it deeply, before he fell asleep once more, not wanting to think what his next test was gonna be.
Thailog had noticed Brooklyn's hesitation when he neared the end of the course, and smiled darkly, knowing now his little special water was starting to affect Brooklyn's head and blood. Eventually, it will affect him even further.
