CHAPTER 4

AN: Well, nobody posted, so, no ShoutOuts!

Except for 'E N', the original I'm-going-to-personally-make-you-step-on-a-Lego reviewer! Also, please don't.

Let's get on with it!

Disclaimer: I am not a guy. I have only visited Boston once, and that too only for a week. Hence, I am not Rick Riordan and, by extension, I do not own PJO. I am going to go and cry in the corner now.

Percy's POV

Well, here I am, being dragged around by a girl whose life is (shockingly enough) probably as confusing as mine!

Who would've thunk?

Well, let's get on with it.

I was barely out of the room when I slipped and fell on my face.

Sadie started laughing. "Oh, man! You're as clumsy as Anna-"

Anya shot her a glare. Sadie immediately stopped laughing.

Well, how did she- wait. Sadie told me to not ask questions, so I'm going to stop asking them.

Then something registered in my mind. "Wait, Isa?"

"Yup!" Anya replied cheerily. "You're as thick as ice. Isa is Old Norse for Ice."

"I am seriously offended."

We had, by now, reached a very big room. Like, seriously big. It reminded me of Olympus. Yeah, that may be a slight exaggeration.

"The Great Room." Anya said. Then she pointed to a couple of glass doors leading outside, where I could see a large table with several people sitting. "And that is the balcony. Let's get you some breakfast."

We went out there. Carter was sitting at the head of the table. The two seats to his right were empty. On the seat beside it, an Arab girl with an Egyptian hairstyle (sorry, I don't know what to call it.) was sitting. On the seat to Carter's left, a guy who looked a bit like Beckendorf was sitting. The seat beside him was also empty. The rest of the table was occupied by people of different ages, though most of them were around 15-16.

Anya went to the seat beside Arab Girl, where a steaming cup was sitting. She sipped the drink, and her eyes widened. "Who put coffee in my hot chocolate?"

A small kid, maybe eleven, raised his hand.

Anya smiled at him. "Looks like you're trying to be a diviner, Felix. I needed that."

Felix smiled back. That's when everyone noticed me.

Arab Girl started first. "Is that-"

"Yes," Carter said. "He's Percy."

Then he turned to look at me. "Hey, Perce. Long time no see."

Anya POV

Carter quickly introduced Percy to everyone: Felix, Julian, Cleo, Alyssa, Walt, Zia, Jaz. Sadie went and sat beside Walt while Percy sat between me and Carter.

Walt looked at Percy funnily. Then he looked at me. "Did you-"

"Yeah," I said. "Neph told me about that, too."

"About what?" Carter asked us. Walt told him about the problem.

"I know why there's no Greek magic inside me," Percy said/sighed. "My dad disowned me."

Carter had been trying to drink some decaf coffee (seriously, it's not coffee if it's decaf) when he heard Percy, so he promptly choked on his decaf. "What? Why?" he asked when he was done coughing.

Percy told us the whole story of his, in the lack of a better word, betrayal. Felix had been excused from the table at the start. He went to his room, albeit a bit sadly, with his mashed potato penguins following him.

"And what do you mean, I have Egyptian magic in me?" Percy asked while drowning his pancakes in syrup.

"Well, it means-" I started to tell him, but I broke out laughing. Everyone looked at me.

I took in some deep breaths, and composed myself.

"It means that you-" I broke out laughing again. "-are a descendant-" I was hysterical by now. "-of the dam pharaohs."

Anya POV

Library

Percy, Cleo, Carter, Sadie, Zia, Walt and I were standing in the middle of the library, thinking about which path Percy should choose.

"How about Water Elementalist?" Cleo suggested. "You were a son of Poseidon, after all. You should have ease controlling the water."

"Though you would make a good combat magician as well." Carter said.

"I agree with Carter." Walt said.

"You could be a Speaker of the Divine Words." Sadie suggested.

"I agree with Sadie," Zia said. "You seem to have the confidence and the concentration necessary."

Percy looked confused now.

"Okay, calm down, all of you!" I interrupted the discussion which was quickly going out of the 'civil' category. "I think that Percy should be a water elementalist and a speaker of the Divine Words, and he should learn at least a little bit of swordfighting. With a khopesh, that is."

"And I agree with her," Percy said. "That sounds like the best course of action. Zia can teach me how to be an elementalist (because she is one, duh), Sadie can teach me the Divine Words, while Carter can teach me the swordfighting."

Carter shook his head. "No can do, Percy. I myself am learning how to be a pharaoh, and that along with me leading the 21st Nome, I have absolutely no time."

"But then who-"

"Oh, Anya can teach you!" Sadie said. "She can fight a khopesh, daggers, sword and spear!"

"And bow and arrows," I added, "After that blessing from the twins."

"The twins?" Percy asked. "You don't mean-"

"Yes, I do," I said. "I have been blessed by Artemis and Apollo."

Reaction: Let's just say it took Percy quite a lot of time to pick his jaw up from the floor.

"How did you meet them?"

"I met Apollo in Connecticut once, when I was attending that stupid special academy," I said. "Honestly, the only thing good about it was my roommate, Rachel. Brightest girl I've ever met."

Percy's eyes widened.

"What?" I asked.

"Did you go to Clarion Ladies Academy?"

"Yes, but how'd you-"

"Your roommate. Her name was Rachel Elizabeth Dare?"

"Again, how'd-"

"She's the Oracle of Delphi."

I slapped my forehead. "That explains it all! Apollo being there, the glowing green at night- all of it!"

Percy shook his head. "How you are so well-connected, I don't know."

I smirked. "Well, maybe it's just my wonderful personality. Come on, let's show you to your room."

That's it for now! Let's see if I can post another chapter next week!
